Place is always excellent. The service is friendly and I never have tried anything that wasn t delicious. Best BBQ in town!

Will not be returning. I have food poisoning. The waitress was nice but food poisoning did it for me.

Ok so me and my son where hungry and wanted to try something new, so I looked up a bunch of places and came across this place. We came there wasnt many people so I wondered if it was a good choice. We ordered got our food and before I had time to take a photo for yall all the food was gone my bad. I had a severe fat girl moment . Ok yall this place is flippin amazing. The smoked corn, mash potatoes & gravy, the pork shoulder, the brisket, and the sauces were all amazing. I recommend this place any day of the week. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, amazing food, and family friendly what more could I ask for.

The Jacksonville area has a plethora of bar-b-que restaurants of varying quality and stature and they all are voting for second place, right after Mojo's.

Consistently excellent food and extremely competent wait staff and always willing to take a moment to listen.

I cannot think of a better place to unwind and relax after a day a week a month or a year.

Service was slow, food was cold. Just wasnt a good experience. Have been there before wasnt this bad.

I came to Jacksonville for work I've been to as far as BBQ places bono's the bearded pig and mojo and in my opinion mojo was the best it's like eating your best friend's moms or Grandma's cooking the place has a really cool vibe they play a lot of soul music and jazz everything I had to eat was perfect I would definitely recommend this to anyone that likes barbecue food

My favorite restaurant right now. The burnt ends are incredible. Smoked wings are the best I've ever had.

I am sad to say that we had two platters here (1/2 brisket and 1/2 pork). Our visit was okay, however the sides were cold and the brisket was dry. We told the server, and she apologized. Then I called and spoke in great detail with the general manager Jeff, who invited us to come back in and gave me information on how to order the brisket next time. I assumed that meant to come back in to have the unsatisfactory meals replaced. Apparently not. I called today and spoke with Christy, who spoke with Jeff and she said, "We were not planning to replace the meals, he just remembers talking to you." Okay, so a general manager talks for 20 minutes on the phone as I explain my dissatisfaction with the meals and the $20 price tag that went with them, and all you say is how to order it next time. This was very disappointing. I wanted to write a review to express my dissatisfaction with Mojo's on University.

I visited Mojo Bbq for the first time with my Wife today and it was outstanding. Brunswick stew was delicious and the St Louis style ribs and beef brisket were out of this world. The atmosphere is very nice as well, has a kind of Bbq and Blues vibe with cool artwork on the walls. Our server Michelle really made the experience over the top! Perfect service and the nicest server Ive ever had. Make sure you ask for her! Highly recommend this place! We will definitely be back!

Three of us dined here on a week night and all ordered the salmon dinner. Salmon seemed like a risky choice for a BBQ place, but Mojos delivered the goods - hot, perfectly cooked salmon with a smokey flavor. The sides were just as good - potato salad, collards, corn bread. Fair prices. Best BBQ in Jacksonville by far.

Casual atmosphere with delicious food. I had brisket with blackeyed peas and coleslaw. The table has a selection of barbaque sauces.

Was working near this place and it smelled so good I had to give it a try. I take bbq very serious and have tried places all across this country. Today at Mojo I may have had the best pulled pork sandwich I have ever had anywhere! It had great flavor and was a good size sandwich. Everything about it, to me, was perfect. I took my order to go but the place would be nice to sit and enjoy your meal. Good vibe, friendly staff, great music, and great bbq...

I liked their fried green tomatoes but the bbq was ok and i thought it was expensive ($40 for 2 people; 2 lunch specials, 2 sodas, 1 app) for what we got.

Best Carolina pulled pork in town....fries are pretty awesome too....

Came here for the first today ordered over the phone very pleasant lady that took my order Ribs were delicious chicken was great. This spot will be added to our places to visit when we return.

An absolutely wonderful experience, the food was great, Brunswick Stew is a must, but good food is everywhere in Jax, what stood out is the customer service not only from our server Bradley , but every member of the staff that walked by.

Well I must say don't let looks deceive you!!! When my family and I pulled up we didn't see many cars so we were apprehensive to go in but we did were please. I must say our server Bradly was amazing!! He wasn't only friendly but professional very attentive and knowledgeable. We all were satisfied with the portion we received. The wings were delicious and mashed sweet potatoes were so good I could have eaten a double order. The ribs were moist and my future son in law said the brisket was also good . We I go back to to Jacksonville will will definitely patronize this restaurant again !!!

This Place has some pretty great tasting BBQ! My work crew and I would go here for lunch. The price is high but your getting what you paid for! One plate could feed two at lunch! :)

Service was great and the food came out hot and delicious. The inside of the store isn't as modern but that aesthetic actually contributes to the feel of the authentic texas bbq you'll find here.

My husband & I shared a turkey salad with honey mustard dressing. Very yummy.
Also shared a whipped sweet potatoe dessert. Yum yum. Plenty of food for both of us.

Hands down the best BBQ in Jacksonville! Always fresh and consistent. Restaurant is always clean and the staff is always friendly! Service is excellent as well.

Very friendly waitress, but we sat right by the kitchen and the floor looked disgusting with water every where and 2-3 people (COOKS) were on their phones with gloves on and continue to cook with the same gloves. We would usually leave but our son wanted to stay. Our food was cold and had to send it back. Our son fries were over cooked also. The waitress apologize but it wasn't her fault.

Food is actually decent, but the service is horrific. They cannot seem to get a call in order right. I have had multiple bad experiences trying to get a take away order. This time they didn t even get it in time he system.

Pretty decent. Had the brisket and black eyed peas with collard greens. Had some local beers, that were both good too. Overall very tasty. Atmosphere was fun, good art and long booth tables. Brisket was well done and came apart easily, BEP were tasty, collards were fresh. Will come back. Service was friendly.

highly recommend you try the sloppy mojo (that is, if you eat spicy food). Their meat comes loaded on buttered and toasted bread, so much that you can make two sandwiches out of it. Then comes the option of adding sauces to the already-smoked and flavored goodness, which include vinegar, Chipotle, and sweet (regular) BBQ. My personal preference is the Chipotle sauce.

This place is amazing!! Definitely my go to BBQ spot! Tonight we ordered the "whole hog" to go and as always everything was on point. My favorite is the pulled pork with the Carolina vinegar sauce!!

Food is delicious, service is great, and portions are large.

We get the burnt ends and an order of fries and split them for our dinner. The ends are yummy and their fries are the best in Jacksonville. Of course their buttermilk ranch to dip the fries in is really why we come here. So delicious.

I love their food! Their onion rings are amazing! They are big slices of onion, battered and fried. They come out in a stack and they have delicious ranch dressing to go with them! They are a great place for BBQ (and my husband is picky about BBQ, ie: Sonny's and Bono's are not on our list of places to go) they have brisket and ribs that are just amazing. They have salmon and vegetarian plate options as well. The sides are very delicious!

That was my very first time being there although I know about it but it was very nice to me and the food was good I rate it as a four-star.

The food deserves 3 stars based on the Boom Boom Shrimp...the Smoked then "bizarrely" flashed fried wings were inedible. Why in the world would you twice cook a chicken wing?

Our server (Logan) was lack luster, not sure if she just had a long day. But she is the key reason for the 2 star rating. Meh food & blah service are a non-repeat in my book.

Not a huge BBQ fan but this space doesn't come close to scratching a Memphis BBQ itch.

The blues themed decor was kinda cool, but still a non-repeat.

MoJo's has the down home southern comfort food you didn't know you were missing in your life. And please...wear loose pants. You'll thank me later.

Amazing food! Great staff, very welcoming and accommodating. A good comfort food with a warming kick to it, great sized portions. Good family place or a nice evening out with loved ones!

The food is fantastic. Wish they had them in Tampa.

Food does taste good but it is a little high in price compared to other bar b q places.

Most menu items are gluten free and the kitchen staff will change gloves, etc if you tell your server you have a gluten allergy.

Not a bad BBQ place if you are ok with your everyday BBQ.

Some of the best Memphis style BBQ in Jacksonville. The pulled pork is actually pulled instead of chopped like some places. Owner is a local from Jacksonville.

The food is very good in the staff is fabulous.
My complaint is they charge $4 more for dinner when it is the EXACT same portion of food as lunch.
