Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs Reviews

My car was vandalized in the parking lot .Other customer suffered the same damage. No concern by head of security for our loss. There are no cameras in the lot or security on patrol outside. It is unsafe. Regardless of how much money you spend they do not care about your personal property. There are no park at your own risk signs. Police report several incidents have occurred in the past few weeks. Too cheap to hire and pay security to do a proper job. Local police do not have the manpower to patrol lot as well as their township. Stay away!!!!You lose money gambling and have your vehicle destroyed. The place has gone down the drain.

You can win and loss and win again at a better place. Staff is good and most people are great to have fun with.

My husband and I had a wonderful date night out. We enjoyed dinner at the timbers buffet which has a huge variety of food and desserts. We then moved to the casino floor where we played penny slots and had an all around great time

Stayed here with our RV the parking lot E was sloped quite a bit so parked in lot C. Which is for vendors and employees. Asked at casino they said was fine to park there. Staff was very friendly. The men's bathroom in the poker room is in bad shape needs repairs to walls and partitions between urinals. Other then that had a great time.

Your valet drivers are young kids that shouldn't be behind the wheel of a peddle car. If you want tread left on your tires, best park your own cars.

This place is NICE! Very classy and clean. Tons on amenities!

I hate smelling cigarette smoke throughout the entire casino. Half is non-smoking the other half is smoking but there is nothing that divides the 2 sections and the cigarette smoke is strong and pungent throughout the casino.

Nice small version of the original Mohegan Sun Casino nice dinner options was rather Smoky however

Ate at Rustic Kitchen which is always an excellent time. The arancini itself is almost worth the trip, but all their other good is excellent as well, and for the quality and style fairly decently priced and VERY well portioned.

They recently changed their menu at their buffet restaurant to a lot less choices and food is not as good. The access to the slot machines has become less convenient for senior citizens.

I have been going to Mohegan Sun since it opened and I have not won a anything over 200.00 dollars. I spent a lot of money while I was there and still nothing. Believe me I have asked what you have to do and they looked at me like I was nuts, but its not that I was saying anything wrong but I know people who worked there and they would tell them what machines were going to hit. I know that you have to play to win but I they are games and you have to lose but I don't understand why I don't win. I love going down there but it does get a little ridiculous when you think that maybe this time you're going to win something and you walk out of there with nothing. I never expected to win every time but I just don't believe that I have been giving them my money, you think they they would say, this lady has been coming here for years maybe she could win something. Like I said I enjoyed going in there and you have a wonderful staff that would help you with mostly everything but maybe one of these days. Thank you for taking the time to read this post .MRS. Nice casino, lots of options. Has a non smoking area of table games, but not many players or dealers when I visited, so I sat in smoking tables area. Quite a few shops on the outer edge, though the fence railing makes hoofing it to find an opening necessary. Plenty of free parking.

Nice casino. Different lay out. Lot of slots. Great food choices. Interior is very nice. Also has a harness track with great racing. Lots of free parking.

They claim to be taking temps as a precaution but we were waved in past the temp check stand. Saw two thermometers on the table but not checking.

Have $30.oo in what ever Money but don't have weekly Comp, but yet I spend ! Could someone explain this and don't say about the Player's Card ,that does not read half the time and Time is limited to me, and I like the machine and I know you know I am playing it , yet I have $ 30.00 in spending money, Come on ! I went from $10.00 to $ 5.00 to $0.00 and I am there playing Dollar Machines, Quarter Machines, Nickle Machines and Penny Machines, NOT WINNING, what does it take to get your Comp Back ? Please tell me ;)

overall the casino was a great experience but there was way to much smoking in there.. it was really getting to me had to leave ....

I visit the Mohegan Sun about once or twice every two too three month's and it's always very friendly though some of the waitresses that come to ask if I need any kind of beverages almost every time take over 20 to 30 minutes to bring what I ordered or preferred before they get my drink to me I have already had to move my seat or spent to much cash in one place waiting on her ...
that I lose out on chances and my drinks I ordered 5 waitresses ago and 5 hours later time to go home. Anymore I sit and take my time enjoy the environment the so many choices of machines I love it and don't need to put in that much money to get doubled to triple times back, but everyone is very kind, kind of puts the anxietized mind at ease feeling comfortablely safe

Great atmosphere, great food and lots of fun slots.

Big casino great atmosphere.. my first few 40 cent spins I won $500!! Yay.
The only real down side is it took forever to get a server to get a drink.

I didn't like that they require one to wear a mask. And was denied entry without one. We witnessed an elderly man being harassed for not wearing his mask the way they wanted him to. I believe that wearing a mask should be a choice. I had been taught that as an American Citizen that I am free to make my own choices.

When I arrived the coat check person was very kind and took care of us very quickly. The slots were not so kind to us. We attempted to eat at Johnnie Rockets and waited for 15mins after being seated to be waited on. We weren't waited on .So we got up to leave and the hostess noticed we were leaving and asked if we were waited on I said no. The manager overheard and apologized and offered both of us a free milkshake. We took him up on his offer and ordered our food to go.

The worst casino ever! Horrible food! Horrible gaming floor. Bad lighting. Ignorant staff especially security. Carded at every corner it almost feels like harassment. If I could give it no stars I would. Save your time go elsewhere.

I wasn't sure what to expect, first time here....and I haven't been in many casinos. If you buy a drink, kind of expensive at $8 for a vodka cranberry well brand. Play the games and drink for free. Winning, not a chance....but it entertained us for a while while dropping a quick $50 or so.

Host service's are not good. Asked for 4 things over a period if a year. Not one if the request were fulfilled. Spend 30000.00 a year there and not once did they call me back. Asked for tickets for a event and nothing. Didn't even get an invite for new years party. Shame on Mohegan.

Location is nice. It seems there's not enough waitresses going around to get orders for drinks etc.

I grew up with mohegan sun and Foxwoods in my backyard so Pocono casinos are mildly disappointing but.... For an area that doesn't have a lot else to offer they do a decent job. Table minimum can be overpriced for the market at times but they employ friendly dealers that help ease that pain some.

Never again ! Rooms are not clean,everything is served on paper cups or plates .they do have coffee pots in room by the cup. Gives a half cup and of course paper. There no place to have breakfast unless you want the buffet.and forget dinner buffet on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. It is not open. We went out of casino for dinner. Not much on food court food. And how many times can you eat at Johnny rockets. I am surprised the have the mohagans son name on it.i have been to the one in Connecticut that one is true resort and casino.this one is so far from it.i don't know about anyone else but when I go away.i pay well and expect to be able to relax and enjoy.not have electric plugs in room that do not work. Dust along walls. Mirror in room did not look like was cleaned in month...by the way I call about but was told sorry ,they would pass along my feed back....good luck if you go.. hope your experience is better then ours was...

Comedy club located inside is my favorite place to visit for a good laugh

Well I don't gamble very often but when I placed a 30 cent bet I won 60 bucks so I had some luck that night. Came in with 20 bucks left with 140!

Wasn't pleased with the Mobility car.was there a month ago didn't have to pay.this time I did.was told before as long as I had a player's
ers card I didn't have to pay. I showed them my card.wouldnt honor it.why would someone make a mistake twice. Then they turned the speed on them to nearly stop

Stay away from this Casino and resort. Don't go to this Mohegan Sun Pocono Downs casion to gamble. Since Tony Carlucci took over as C.E.O. he is destroying the enjoyment that people age 21 and up (especially senior citizens) use to have when 2 Dogs was the C.E.O. Penny Grove has been cut in half and has hardly any of the slot machines that it used to have since this Tpny Carlucci took over. All new 1 cent slot machines with a minimum bet of 88 cents per bet and higher
have taken the place of the 1 cent machines that people used to be able to bet 20 cents per bet on. Very expensive betting at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs with very few pay outs.
All of the senior citizens that I've talked to there are currently finding better enjoyment of winnings by traveling by bus to The Sands in Bethlehem, PA and Mount Airy Casino in the Pocono Mountains, PA.

Disappointed to see people smoking at slot machines, blowing their germs all over the place. Kind of negates the purpose of the masks.

Blackjack is awesome...helpful staff...clean and very good place to eat GO JOHNNIE ROKETS
