The excellent service begins when you turn in your car. The rep takes the time to listen to you and ensures that he understands what the car issues are. Then he ensures that your needs are met, either directing you to the very nice waiting area or if you want a rental car. The waiting room is very comfortable and you get free coffee, water and coke. They have a very clean handicap friendly bathroom. The rep in the waiting room, is there for you, updates on your car or comfort issues. Everyone is very friendly and professional. All service provided is explained so I completely understand what was done to my car. I am very appreciative of all the professional Modern reps I come in contact with.

In 2002, I was looking to buy a Rav4. Granted it was July, but the salesman stuck his head out of the door and wouldn't help me.. To my surprise, I bought a 2002 Rav4 in Danville, VA. In 2006, a service guy at Modern looked me in the eye and said I needed $700 worth of repairs. A second opinion said not true. In July 2014, I called to find out why my check engine light was on. The service guy said it would cost $96; yet, in Mount Airy, the same service will cost $46. Mount Airy spent time with me, answered all my questions, and was helpful. This third time was the charm. I will gladly drive the distance to Mount Airy... and will alert everyone on what type of business Modern Toyota is running.

Gopal is a very superb modern Toyota employee,and we just bought 2016 Toyota corolla today....he worked a lot out for my beautiful wife and her mother,we had ice cold drinks provided for us as well as hugs....this man is awesome too...I recommend him for your next Toyota car buying...bless you Gopal...your great,love ya brother!

I can t believe I just had that kind of experience...

I can t believe I just had that kind of experience that they said they would have my truck cleaned up all the way from the inside and out. And I come the next day and it s completely dirty and they left stains from the tire chemicals on the paint of the truck. They just didn t clean the details of every spot of the truck to Make it look brand new. I didn t buy a $2,000 truck just to have it not fully cleaned.

Buying my new car at Modern Toyota was a great experience. They offered a great price with a no pressure sales pitch that made everything incredibly easy. Michael Williams was a great sales person who helped me through the whole process and made it completely painless.

Went from a 5-star review to 1-star due to a bad experience. Most of the employees are great. But, the coverage we purchased for free oil changes and tire rotations has been nothing but a hassle. Apparently, if you don't put enough miles on your vehicle in due time, you lose your coverage. A three-hour wait for a cheated coverage is not worth it. I love Toyota products, but we will be shopping for vehicles at other dealerships from now on.

Nice folks to deal with. It was nice of the staff to give those waiting an overview of the demolition/new construction plans. It was a pleasureable experience and service was performed in a very timely manner considering the number of people scheduled.

I was completely frustrated with my courtesy drive...

I was completely frustrated with my courtesy driver. Instead of carrying me via the most expedient route, he elected to go to through the city to Modern. When I asked why he was taking the long route through the city, he stated that he preferred that route. That response did not represent customer sensitivity to efficiency. I would have understood if he were picking up other customers.
On the initial trip to my home, the GPS that he used suggested using 40, which he did. On the return to Modern, why would he choose a different route? I was busy and didn't appreciate a tour of Winston.

It was fine...I have no complaints! Customer area comfortable and very accommodating. Service dept staff outstanding, polite and they do whatever they can to make customers comfortable. Everyone did their job and that's what it takes for a smooth , happy , pleasant customer experience !!

What a great experience we had with team at Modern...

What a great experience we had with team at Modern. It started with a very pleasant and professional Stephanie Roten. She was able to answer every question I had prior to diving the hour to view the car.

Once on location I did NOT get attacked by a mob of sales persons. That was wonderful I must say. I was greeted by Shawn Elliott, who walked me through the process.

Came to pick up wife's car after service and my Toyota Sienna's Cd player was making a noise. Asked Matt to take a listen and he brought over a technician to diagnose it. Cannot beat this level of service. Added value.

Always bring my 4Runner back to Modern for service...

Always bring my 4Runner back to Modern for service. Always been satisfied with the work but was a little disappointed this past visit. I had the rear brakes lined. When they called and told me the price I asked if they had any coupons. The service tech told me he had a $25 coupon that he would apply. I asked if I could use my rewards and he said I had already used them. I checked at home and Modern had sent me a $20 rewards coupon. When I picked it up and my 4Runner I showed him the coupon and he gave me the $20 off. I thought it still sounded a little high thinking he had also apply the $25 he had told me about. This was my mistake for not questioning at the dealership but I didn't want to question front of other customers. After leaving I checked the bill and the $25 was not applied. I called and left the service tech a message letting him know I thought he forgot to give me the additional $25 off and asked he give me a call. Crickets.... still no call. So I now no longer have my $20 rewards and disappointed that I didn't get the $25 that I told I would get. I am due for another service in few more weeks so I am hoping Modern will still help me out with my next visit. We will see. If not probably will start looking for another place to do my service. Also this is the only dealership that does not detail my vehicle. Modern told me they added a new car wash but I am yet to see any benefit. Overall I have always given great reviews and have told friends about their work. Unless I am notified and they make it up on my next service I may have to change my story.

Our experiences at Modern Toyota in WS have always been wonderful. Our recent salesman, "Mo", had a great sense of humor, all while being very professional, which made our car shopping/buying a fun and easy experience. My husband and I love our Camry; great family car! Recommend them any day!

Reno Voss, Asst. Service Mgr., Set the standard for great customer service. Continuously kept me abreast of everything going on with my repairs, including cost and when my car would be ready. Furnished free loaner car overnight so I would not have to make pickup late in evening. Service Tech did a great job on repairs...very pleased.
Everyone was very helpful & friendly.

We purchased over the internet and we were only at the dealership for about one hour. They made it so easy, and stood behind their price. No games once we got their. Thanks so much guys. I purchased a used vehicle there 8 months ago and yesterday I had to replace ALL 4 ROTORS! They tried to tell me I destroyed 4 brake rotors in 8 months! Please! I also found out there was an illegally plugged tire on the thing.
I'm incredibly upset and will NEVER encourage anyone to buy a car there. You don't know what you're getting as they smile and hand you the keys...

These guys are great, rice Toyota and van York Toyota both tap out when it comes to the prices of their cars. No joke, modern Toyota beat up Rice Toyota by $1500. The last time I bought a car it took seven hours, this time it only took three hours and they delivered the truck to my house on time I don't even need to think about it, modern Toyota will be the place I tell all of my friends and family to go to, and the place I will return to buy my next vehicle.

I m am extremely impressed with Modern Toyota. They went above and beyond to get me into my new car. Two years ago I purchased my first new car from them, the experience was great then. I purchased a 2018 Camry LE at that time. I started having some issues with the car recently. Of course I went back to Modern and expressed my concerns with the car and wanting to get into a different Camry. I love Toyota and will always stand by its name, I just believe I happen to get a poorly manufactured one. Between the Auto Repair manager, the GM and the salesperson Ms.Nancy. They went above and beyond to make me happy. I was given an excellent deal on a New 2020 Camry SE that honestly was better then my original deal with the LE. I got exactly what I wanted, with absolutely no headache or stress. Modern has an excellent team and I recommend this dealership to anyone that s looking to be treated with the upmost respect. I just want to say Thank You Guy s for all you did to fix my situation and correct it to 100% satisfaction. I will only buy my vehicles from Modern Toyota. They have earned my respect!!!! Great team all they way around the board everyone I dealt with had a great personality and was very pleasant to work with!!! Awesome Awesome Awesome Team!!!!! Thanks Modern Toyota!!!!

I got off to a rough start with Modern Toyota after it appeared that the service tech and those who worked on my vehicle just weren't paying much attention to the things I told them. At that point Roman took over and since.then I always ask for him on every service visit. He now knows my 2003 Prius with its 250k miles and understands my concerns. Things just work better when you talk to the same person every time you come in.

Drove right in and met and assisted by a friendly masked service member right away. The contactless text to phone system was explained. Waiting area is very open and posted with signs, recently sanitized.
A nice lady with mask came around to check and see if I needed anything. Very great experience today. I felt very comfortable. They even have USB charging stations which is great!

I really enjoy the fact that I can pull my car up to someone and have a waiting area that feels like my office with hook ups to my laptop and a cubicle of my own if need be. The free coffee and water sure do help as well. Then the adviser came and got me rather then me having to check in with the desk periodically. I also have low tire pressure which I was going to do myself at the local gas station but they went above and beyond and fixed that for me during my service.

Salesman Ricky Triplett is simply as good as it gets in the car business! Modern is great but specifically, Ricky does a superb job. As Modern's "Davie County rep" he makes many of us across the bridge want to do business with Modern for years to come!

The service in the sale process is wonderful, no tricks, hidden fees, nothing like that. Easy negotiating process too.

Purchased 2006 4 Runner and have absolutely loved it. One of the best vehicles we've owned. Always had good service until lately. 2 visit's ago they serviced our vehicle and while doing so serviced the battery. A week later I raised our hood to see how hard it would be to change a bad lamp and noticed the anti-corrosion battery spray they used was all over the top of the battery, the inner fender and anything close to the battery. Today we made an appointment to drop vehicle off for general service. When my wife arrived they said they did not show we had scheduled the appointment. They did offer to work it in when they could but that defeats the entire purpose of making an appointment. Spoke with the service manager and he said to bring it back later that evening and offered to pick the vehicle up, again that defeats the purpose of making an appointment. I realize mistakes can be made but I just do not think this was handled as it should have been.

Update:
After speaking with Jim Butler we set up an appointment for service which went great. Jim proved to us that he wanted to right a wrong which he did and we are grateful. Thanks for reaching out to us Jim.

Just bought a 2014 Jeep from Modern Toyota. This buying experience was very different. At other dealerships I felt like they were forcing me into the car that they wanted to sell me, instead of the car that I wanted to buy. I saw this Jeep on Modern Toyota's website and went to the dealership that same day. I am very picky about purchasing vehicles so usually when I go to the lot I know what I want and do not want to be shown other vehicles. Knivan, the salesman I worked with was very professional and helpful. I told him I saw a Jeep that interested me and he didn't even hesitate to go get the keys, he did not try to push me to another vehicle or even suggest another vehicle. I would highly recommend Knivan as someone to work with. He was very easy to deal with, helpful, and worked to try to get me the best deal possible. Overall, a very good experience and I love my Jeep, and I get free state inspections for life from Modern Toyota!! I will recommend Modern Toyota to anyone I know buying a vehicle in the future.

Went to trade my car this weekend, Modern Toyota gave me a trade-in value I am pleased with and made the transaction as smooth as possible. I had my two toddlers with me. They enjoyed playing in both of the playrooms- it helps tremendously to have designated child areas. Kudos to Modern for that! I've purchased 3 vehicles from them and will continue to shop there in the future. The sales manager Yates Moon is making sure to get my new (used) vehicle set up exactly how agreed. I couldn't be more pleased in their efforts. David Kecki- our salesman made the paperwork quick and took time to answer all questions. If you're looking for a great sales associate to work with, ask for David.

Any time I went to get my car serviced (even with an appointment) I would be there for no less than 2 hours (and I've had my Toyota for 8 years). The prices are also always unreasonably high compared to other reputable auto places. I finally "saw the light" and switched all of my auto servicing to someone else. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

One negative I had was the drop off. Apparently they pair you up with a service advisor to "make your service more personal". The only problem is, if they can't find him, you wait and wait.
Finally, another SA checked me in.

I don't care who my advisor is. I just want quick service.

Another negative, or more of a want, is it would be nice if they washed it when they service it. Other dealers do and it's a nice perk.

Beyond that, the servicing was done quickly, once I got checked in.

I love Modern Toyota! Bought our first Toyota here, a 2018 RAV 4, and we love it. The dealership is always clean and everyone is so courteous and very helpful. And the service department is top notch. They always take care of our needs and if there is a problem, they are right on it. And in a very satisfactory time frame. No complaints with the service department whatsoever. I would not even think about going anywhere else. Thanks Modern for making our experience great!

I recently had my 2016 Toyota Tacoma serviced at Modern Toyota February of 2017 in Winston-Salem and the service was great. My service advisor was a young lady named Winter but don't let her age deceive you. She was very professional, thorough and super friendly. When my truck was ready she found me on the Toyota lot to personally hand me my keys and paperwork at the same time and I was ready to go in no time.

I went for a 10000 mile service on our 2018 Camry. I was met promptly and courteously by the see ice staff. Everything was explained before and After the service. The whole process was done in an efficient and friendly manner. I couldn't be happier.
