My daughter caught her first fish in the kid pond!! So clean and nice
Great trails for berries and mushrooms and ponds full of fish!!!
Good but some of the lakes have a lot of debris in them .lost a lot of lures.
Safe clean and friendly area to get some rest and Recreation
Could be a little cleaner. Some trash everywhere. Keeping maintenance of the wasp nests on all the docks. More patrol checking for fishing permits/licenses. I think it'll then the herd of people who trash the place.
Very beautiful place lots of lakes Wildlife peace and quiet
This place has great fishing.. Thy have 12-13. Lakes out there and the people you meet are nice
Turtles are biting in the shallows. Safely removed hook and he is back with his turtle family.
Good for riding/walking/running, fishing, picnic, etc. Fishing isn't amazing.
Beautiful area with a lot of lakes and a paved road going all around. Also a kid pond that's loaded with fish. Spent an hour there and our daught caught a decent number of fish.
Closest fishing with so many options. I love to watch the deer.
Great place for escaping the world and just being one with nature. Great trails and sights to see. Would recommend for anyone looking for an adventure.
It is a good park, but the trails are NOT marked, so it is easy to get lost. I don't mind non paved trails, but if you like them, you might not want to go, especially after it rains.
Best local lakes. Easily accessible with a variety of fish Species
Nice lakes kept clean and grass around cut good no boats though
Fantastic location to take the family fishing and enjoy the outdoors
This place is neat! I'm only giving a 3 because bathroom/porta potties had no toilet paper and hadn't been cleaned for awhile.
Great place to go do some catch and release fishing anytime of the week
Nice place to fish and feels like country and a short drive
James A is one of my favorite places to go I love the trails
For a Rookie Fisher like myself JAR is hit or miss, but overall great!
This place has its good and bad day of fishing! Fish are very picky on what you throw out at them!
I was thinking there might be trails to run, but didn't see any. If anyone else knows where along the route they are located I would love to know myself.
Always pleasant place to fish...I take a bag to pick up trash of inconsiderate people.
My favorite place to fish in the area. Convenient location, TONS of bank fishing access and a good variety of species.
Love this place. There are so many lakes in one place so you can jump around. I take kids who often need potty breaks and there is a McDonalds and other places with clean restrooms less than 3 mins away.
We love going here to take pictures of our kids always a new spot for pictures.
We have taken our 4 children hiking here multiple times a year since the were old enough to walk. They all have a love for nature now. Just dont go after a rain, the best trails get very muddy.
Great family outdoor fun. Fishing and hiking. The thing that sucks is no pwc so only fishing from the banks.
I never been there even though I hear good things about lee summit I love to go check the place out..
Great place. Could use more hiking trails in this beautiful nature area.
Beautiful place to visit a ton of different lakes to fish on
This is generally a pleasant place to enjoy a quiet moment. The toilets need to be maintained better, though. At the very least, replenish toilet paper often.
Nice place to fish visually. Only caught one so far. Good luck.
Loved it, trail needs maintenance couple large trees to climb over and I do mean climb.
Nice open area to fish with kids, just not enough fish in the water!
An enjoyable ride thru the opened and wooded ackerage. 9 lakes to fish and walk around the banks. A non cost enjoyable experience.
Plenty of lakes to fish, so it's never too crowded. There is also a great walking trail that's stroller friendly.
These lakes in Lee Summit are a Hidden Gem! We just recently found this Wildlife Area, and we've been out here probably five or six times in the last month. I think there's seven or eight Lakes? It's really a very nice area with caught a lot of good fish here!
Lots of places to fish. Nice & Clean & easy to move from one fishing spot to another with easy to follow signes.
Great spot for hiking. Plenty of wildlife to enjoy and beyond the fact that they never seem to clean up the mess left by people who fish there (Fishing line, bobbers stuck in trees and stuff like that) the place is clean and paths and trails are well maintained.
Love coming here to get on the boats but can t ever get much fish
This place has always been a wonderful place to go fishing. During hunting season they open parts of the park to dove hunting as well as deer hunting for a few days. There are 12 lakes that you and your family can visit. Some are small with Lily pads on top that you have to hike a little bit to get to. Others have handicap access with a dock that you can fish off of as well as a concerted sidewalk with spots to park a wheelchair all the way along so you have more than just one place to fish. You can go to gopher lake and rent a small rowing john boat for $5 for the day as well. Some of the lakes are small and some are even as big as 42 acres. You can find channel catfish, blue catfish, flathead catfish, trout, crappie, largemouth and smallmouth bass, bluegill, green sunfish, warmouth bass and lots of other species. Although the fish usually don't get very big in size there are some bass that have been caught at 6lbs and even catfish at 25lbs. You never know what's going to happen on a day out on the water so it's always nice to go and explore a little with a new lake every day.
Great winter hike on the blue trail. Bit of mud, but overall great conditions with our three kids (5, 6, and 8).
I come to this wildlife area for hiking and birdwatching. Plenty of space and the wildlife viewing is excellent on most days
There is so much to do here for the outdoorsman. The archery range is fantastic (although the targets arent strong enough for a crossbow), the trails are well maintained and the ponds all have fish. You can't take a kayak on them, which should be changed. Otherwise this place is perfect and close to KC
Great for fishing and walking the dog... Lots of different fishing ponds. We pan fried our trout catch... delicious!
Great place to view sunsets, go for a hike, fish, explore, bike ride, etc. Never crowded that I've seen.
I love fishing here, walking or riding your bike. VERY little traffic great place to be.
Great fishing. Caught my limit of trout today. Good crappie and catfishing in the spring and summer.
