We went at night and it was awesome! One of the best parts of our trip!
Beautiful, well kept and organized. You can spend a whole day here.
I visited the garden on a nice sunny day in April. It was gorgeous! Plants were tagged very well and maintained well. Loved it and will go again.
Most realxing but fun place in st.louis great for residents and non- residents
Absolutely gorgeous. One of the most relaxing places! Nice exhibitions year round, as well, plus large gift shop.
It's only $6 if you are a local resident. Even at full price it's a cheap cost for that much stress relief. Take a camera with you!
Absolutely Beautiful place! Well worth visiting. 5 stars!
The botanical garden is such a great place. It was so we'll thought out and perfectly maintained. I appreciate the amazing work that is put into the gardens. Even when there are a lot of people there, it doesn't seem very crowded inside the gardens. It's also a great deal!
Great place to just walk around, learn something new, and forget the normal routine BS in your life.
A most see when coming to St Louis. Great play area for kids too!
Flora Borealis: cost $20 worth $5. The first 10 minutes is 60% of the show.
Absolutely beautiful place for a stroll to catch up with a friend, be with your loved one or to just enjoy yourself. The japanese garden section is quite impressive. Wish to do some meditation there some day.
Spectacular!
This place is gigantic and beautiful! It was peaceful and there were so many wonderful views of all the different exhibition of plants, trees and lake.
Btw. At the entrance you can buy food for the duckies and fish.
Nice garden walk in the morning to get some steps in!
I have been going here for a few years with my boyfriend and we have decided to purchase a membership because we would get more for our buck that way! Super great place to let loose and get inspired. I would love to get married here one day!
One of the most beautiful places in St. Louis. World Class gardens.
Would like to come back in the spring. Still lots to see in August. The Japanese garden was great
Always beautiful any time of year. Great educational experience. Incredible garden vistas in the middle of the city, and you wouldn't even know you were in a city if you're in the middle of this park. A huge variety of gardens to walk through. An awesome hedge maze, a tropical climatron, a desert garden, English gardens, Japanese gardens, and even a ceremonial Japanese teahouse on an island. If you haven't been here, just go already.
I'd be an active member if i lived closer! love this place.
Love going to MBG. just to stroll around for relaxation or to obtain ideas for the garden. Gift shop has for sale indoor plants, garden tools and some special gifts.
I've been going here for over 35 years and it's still breathtaking.
It is always a great to see what beauty awaits when visiting.
I wish the invasive species (such as wintercreeper) in the garden were labeled as such, and the garden was easier to navigate.
Beautiful garden! Great for any ages! Field trips, family day trips, dates, etc.! Just remember to bring a coat of it's cold outside and check the weather before you go because most of the garden is outdoors.
Excellent garden. Really a gem considering the number of world class cultural attractions in the city.
This is a great place to walk and see the flora at different seasons. Today was a just a day to walk relax and enjoy the day
My very favorite place in the St. Louis area. I appreciate the beauty and serenity.
Went for the lights at Christmas. Beautiful. The tour of the Shaw home was educational and fun.
I love going to the botanical gardens. There is always more to see and in a typical year there are a lot of events that take place. The koi pond is great for kids and adults alike. The various gardens are all unique and well maintained. What a treasure!
Loved these gardens. If we lived near here, I would have a membership and visit often. Great activity area for kids too. We began by riding the tram to see where we wanted to spend more time hood choice.
Really beautiful place. We enjoyed going through the Garden Glow Christmas lights. It was a blast and they even had adult hot chocolate.
The Bontanical Garden is so serene. Each garden is so well kept and must take so much dedication. My first visit was in 2014 and I've been coming back ever since. I am now a member and love attending the festivals! Thank you for making this a wonderful place to relax and visit.
Gorgeous day and flowers would have been appreciated more without a mask. A mask is not needed when walking outside.
Beautiful all year round! Don't miss the Christmas display! So much fun for a lil extra for kids to climb, wonder, learn, imagine & explore in the tree house area! I've also been to & in some beautiful weddings here!
Nice place for a scenic walk. Perfect for all ages.
I enjoyed the gardens very much
They had such beautiful orchids.
I have been a member the past several years and have really enjoyed all that the garden has to offer. Come for a morning or stay the whole day, I discover something new every time I visit.
Beautiful place to take a relaxing stroll. The the tram and enter and exit as you wish. Get there early (specially on Wednesday) and park on the lot without any problem
I wish I can know it earlier. Best place in STL, definitely NO.1 if I can vote! Most of the events may have a small admission fee, but it is well worth paying the price. The history here is very rich and the museums in the gardens are very informative. I wish I can know it earlier. Best place in STL, definitely NO.1 if I can vote!
We have loved the Missouri botanical gardens for years. it's been one of those places that we go back to over and over again each summer. The flowers and plants change from season to season with some moving throughout the spring summer and fall. With the Covid19 being a problem now, they have taken special care of their guests by closing some of the buildings and limiting access to outside. Well I think it's a great idea and feel safe in their presence, I miss seeing the tropical plants and some of the other items. There's a lot of construction now, so I know this fall and next year will be spectacular.
Beautiful park, most are complyingvwearing their mask andcsocisl distancing, the Daylilies are beautiful, but the water lilies are other worldly. Well worth the time.
This place was much better than I expected as I am not really a plant person. However they had a lot of diverse, unique plants that were cool to look at. The place is pretty big and you can get some good walking in or you can take a tram. I wouldnt go on a super hot or cold day as it is mostly outdoors.
Wow okay I have a lot to say about this one
So I attended the last Japanese festival (incredible cultural appreciation by the way)
I ended up buying my first bonsai for only $10!! The place is incredibly upkept and naturally beautiful.
Only problem I could see is the patterned bridge you have to walk over is a little lose & should probably have a weight limitation or be made stronger.
Beautiful backstory as well. Great for people of all ages!
Very nice place to visit. Very clean and the staff were really good.
Beautiful views, wonderful sculptures and fountains, and an unbelieveable variety of plants to see! The climatron is a must-see, and my 3 year old absolutely loves the children's garden! Oh, and take the walking tour!
One of St. Louis s must see jewels. You could spend a whole day walking around the gardens. The children s garden is an amazing playground with many interactive places to play and things to do. The Japanese garden is well manicured and beautiful with the ponds, trees and flowers. The kids loved feeding the huge fish. The indoor climate controlled gardens are great as well.
Beautiful gardens, huge park. Great attention to detail!!!!
Beautiful foliage, physical distancing, and very walkable paths! A good place to visit for a pleasant getaway during this covid 19 challenge.
As a kid we had encyclopedias. Under B there was Botanical Garden. The image used was the St Louis Botanical Garden. I always that was so neat. Turns out, it deserves to be the picture perfect encyclopedia location. Its so amazing
The Missouri Botanical Gardens are by far one of the finest, if not THE finest, of all the Botanical Gardens in the USA; they're certainly one of the highlights of St. Louis. One of the best things about St. Louis is the large amount of free activities available, but Missouri Botanical Gardens aren't one of those free activities. Even so, the price is well worth it. The gardens offer a fanciful retreat year round and are often the site of many lovely events throughout the year such as Jazz Concerts and the Japanese Festival.
There are so many different varieties of gardens. You'll be enchanted by the floating glass work of renowned artist Dale Chihuly and entranced as dragonflies and butterflies dance around you in the Butterfly garden. My favorite highlights, however, are the serene Chinese Friendship Garden and the peaceful Japanese Garden. It's a wonderful place for a stroll.
I certainly recommend the Missouri Botanical Gardens!
A must see in St. Louis. A wonderful treasure in the Midwest. Check out the website for exhibits and special events.
Fantastic St. Louis landmark, a must see. Best botanical garden I've been to
This is a wonderful garden. It is HUGE! It also has fun children gardens with lots of play activities for two through twelve-year olds.
One of the best botanical garden in the US. Only better garden I have been to in North American are Buchart in Victoria BC and Montreal's Botanical Garden.
Beautiful place. We love coming here. Seth at the membership desk was very helpful and is also very funny. Good person to have. We enjoyed the iris garden while in bloom. We were married in the rose garden here in 1995. Fond memories of course.
Amazing place to visit but bit expensive..worth visiting
