Modern museum that will delight the big and the young. Exhibitions on Mesopotamia very well. On site large parking. Electric car parking. All in a natural environment for this former mine site transformed. There is a souvenir shop and bookstore as well as a counter on regional cultural tourism.

The temporary exhibition on the theme of love is pleasant, well organized in a well-organized route, neither too long nor too short. We would appreciate the application of this principle for the permanent exhibition ...

Superb space and modern infrastructure but too little exploited. Too little to see in such a large space. There are more supervisors than visitors ... I was hungry after this visit. Brief mismanagement and lack of vision on the part of leaders

Super museum, free admission except the expo where it is paid but more than reasonable. Super home.
Only downside, the shop where unfortunately all that concerns the museum, it is noted the louvre and not Louvre Lens is a shame because it is not representative of the place itself ...

If you do not cling exclusively and feverishly to the name of Louvre-Lens, you will not make any comparison with its Parisian namesake, your free spirit can then enjoy a museum with ambitious dimensions and design, visible from the access aisle (attention: a little long for people with walking difficulties, but pleasant), dimensions that allow, even on the very coveted Sunday of Heritage Days, to move easily, without the impression of hustle and bustle. The works presented are eclectic enough to allow all members of a family or a heterogeneous group to have a great time.

This is a great museum! Very modern architecture. Glass, aluminium and concrete are the main materials used. The museum has one main huge gallery with great artifacts from prehestoric period to 19th century , one gallery for the periodic exhibitions and an other called "behind the scenes' that the visitor can have a look at the storerooms of the museum. Very impressive Indeed! Must go if you are close to Lens!

Expo about interesting love but limited by an ideological and social choice. Only the judeochretian view illustrated for the ruling classes and in France is exposed! A somewhat inflated bias in the mining basin! Bourgeois culture of decision makers?
The explanatory texts are written in small, at a distance we can not approach them and they are put very low. Low back pain guaranteed. Is it for small and wheelchairs or forcing to buy something? At 10 euros the entrance ...

I come to see all the temporary exhibitions which are remarkable each time.
You can attach your bike near the entrance. It's monitored by a camera.
There is a cool cafeteria right next to the well-designed documentation area. You can sip your coffee there while leafing through one of the many works of art at our disposal.
A very good restaurant just opposite for those who have a little money and if not below, other more affordable but also very nice restaurants.
A very good cultural outing.

I loved the arrangement of the works mixing statues, paintings, pottery ... in the same room. It changes from other museums. A little sad atmosphere in the entrance hall. Few people. Amazing but pleasant to spend time in front of the works

The Louvre Lens museum is an excellent museum, very large very pleasant sober and classy. The exhibitions are varied and very interesting.

The gallery of time (free!) Is simply a breath of fresh air in culture, tracing the human evolution from its beginnings to its most recent works.

The staff is very pleasant and professional whether at the reception or in the cafeteria.

I highly recommend.
