Beautiful museum, accessible to all, beautiful exhibition. A park around the museum for beautiful ballads I recommend it
Beautiful architecture, sober and bright.
An original museum approach with The Gallery of Time which offers a chronological and comparative presentation of works by civilization. Simple and didactic! Free admission. Easy access from Paris. To have.
The exhibition on beautiful Poland. The gallery of time proposed an exhibition on breathtaking Egypt. I recommend
The gallery of time..of space..museum very pleasant to go. ..
Superb museum
What's more, it's free for the time gallery
Missing the provisional exhibition, we should have paid more attention to the calendar ...
Always something to discover.
Always something to discover
I recommend a visit a year at least, it's good for everything!
The free access time gallery was really interesting, enriched by works by big names
Very beautiful pieces of the permanent exhibition
The place is clear with a beautiful development of the works
The LOUVRE LENS is an example of an exceptional strategic vision: to plant culture in a region of northern France marked by its mining past and do everything to bring in its inhabitants. But not only them, and that's good for the development of the region.
So this is an excellent initiative and it is an excellent concrete achievement:
- clean and avant-garde architecture, functional hi-tech equipment, accessible and relevant, beautiful interior spaces with human dimensions.
- free access and accessible prices for temporary exhibitions;
- cafeteria at a low price;
- friendly and stylish staff, attentive;
- the development of well-integrated surroundings in the site;
- very well designed and downloadable teaching files from the website.
The exhibition on the Renaissance is exceptional by the numerous works that it brings together, its structuring by themes, by the explanations given either in the paper guide, the downloadable educational file and by the audio guide.
As for the Gallery of Time, we will come back to see you again, the exhibition on the Renaissance having conquered us all afternoon. A second message will be posted ...
Three small remarks however:
1. Coming from Belgium, on the highway, we saw too late the only sign indicating the proper exit. Forced and forced for security reasons, we went out to Lens. Lost in Lens, the museum is not mentioned. Only car parks are, when we approach ...
2. We did not see any parking near the museum for people with difficult mobility. And although very nicely drawn and integrated into the landscape, pedestrian access roads are for them very distant from the museum;
3. More important: why did you place the multi media screens in the basement? We discovered them by chance, near the cloakroom. But the information they give is very interesting! And a passage almost obligatory before beginning the visit of the museum.
But the fact remains that the whole of this museum is exceptional: from concept to its realization.
Bravo!
Main expisition is free. Good parking and free. Temporary expositions is 10 euro for all above 18 years old.
Free entrance. Beautiful open museum with lots of glass that gives you a view of the modernly laid-out Japanese garden.
Small museum with great work of more temporary exhibitions changes quite regularly which allows to enrich his knowledge in awesome art
Beautiful a beautiful temporary exhibition in addition to Love
Super interesting museum, allow 1.5 hours to visit on site
Good place of culture of relaxation and for the pokemon player go
Exceptional museum but one wonders why the green spaces surrounding the building were so poorly designed. Indeed I think that these green areas have been completely missed They have no meaning any beauty and contrast with the building. I want I think we should urgently review these spaces
I really like this museum (with its free permanent collection) and the gallery of time that allows to see the works in time.
I finally took the time to walk around the museum gardens which are extremely nice!
If you are in the area, think about going to the heaps that are really not far.
Very nice museum. Several visits with different themes, very interesting, where you want to come back.
museum not to be missed welcoming bright very interesting and very educational
The chronological design of the museum is very interesting for neophytes like me
I liked because the museum is free and well, we learn interesting things.
IT IS a magnificent large, bright and spacious museum, plus the staff are very friendly and warm !! There is a large, beautiful park to relax in!
Beautifully curated museum that let's you enjoy a limited number of pieces rather than drown in an abundance of it. The location is worth a visit in itself with its modern architecture and green surroundings that invite you for a walk around the grounds. The current 'Love' exhibition is a must-see and gives you a very interesting and enlightening view on how love has evolved over the last couple of thousand years.
Highly recommended!
A magnificent museum to discover without hesitating
Exciting collections and very interesting works in a framework that is unfortunately too modern and uncluttered for my taste. This does not prevent me from coming back regularly to discover the new temporary exhibitions.
Top museum in a beautiful location in a poor unattractive city.
Very good time and a return in time very rewarding !! To share with family
A place that must remain a place of usual visits !!
LOTS of major works and renewed temporary exhibitions. Accessible to all. To discover regularly.
Beautiful exhibition on Homer rare pieces and beautiful pictures to do
Always so pleasant, renewed works, a very educational design, ... only small flat, parking not easy to find.
First exterior impression: cold, distant, poorly marked, impression that it is not finished at all, i.e. not really pleasant or positive ... Hopefully the inside, the museum, will be ok later
Extraordinary architecture, pleasant and relaxing park, the time gallery allows you to embrace 6 millennia of the creative genius of man. Temporary exhibitions can then encourage you to return.
Spacious and airy place where one can let oneself wander while cultivating
Very pretty and impressive museum of international type. But, in order to fully experience it, I advise you to do it on a guided tour.
Museum clean, well maintained.
Very nice guide, clear explanations.
Prefer the guided tour that gives full meaning to the gallery of time.
The setting is very beautiful, green and the sober building mix mixes in the nature. We enjoyed our visit, the works were just beautiful and Homer's exhibition was very interesting especially as we had a guide just for us and his knowledge of the history was just incredible!
Paint the soul of a nation. Temporary exhibition on Polish painters. Enriching cultural visit! To do.

Boring for me, but for those who like museums like this
Wonderful museum! It is the opposite of the Louvre in Paris. Everything radiates tranquility. The permanent collection is beautifully constructed. Moreover, it is free to visit! The temporary collections are definitely worth a look. Easy to visit from Kortrijk. Only 45 minutes by car.
Reconversion of the site, access to works and art, welcoming the visitor, everything is successful
A superb evening with the Louvre-Lens circle and friends, A perfect welcome! Thank you for making art accessible to everyone
