Mint Julep Bistro & Lounge

First time visiting with my lady as she wanted to try the establishment so I said why not. A new waiter took our drink order and was gone before we could say we want to place our order. My first sign lol he came back we ordered an appetizer only to come back they didn't have it so we said we want a pizza that was it for 15 minutes. He came back refilled my drink. 25 minutes later we asked about our pizza he said you didn't get it yet he goes back in the kitchen and turns around and asked what kind of pizza do you want at that point my lady says check please and thank you. In between I was asked by a manager was everything OK I said no 10 minutes later he brings the check and says I can take it now. 12 minutes later he comes back he never put the drink order in before 7 so I was charged full price can't believe it will never return. the guy never asked for assistance.

THIS IS A HIDDEN GYM LOCATED NEAR SANDHILLS. THEY OFFER SOME OF THE MOST DELICIOUS ENTREES IN THE AREA. NO ONE CAN COMPARE TO THEIR FOOD. THE OWNER VALUES YOU AS A CUSTOMER AND ENJOYS FEEDBACK. THE STAFF ARE EXCELLENT YET A FEW REALLY STAND OUT! IF YOU DECIDE TO GIVE MINT JULEP A TRY THEN ASK TO BE SERVED BY GREG. YOU WILL FEEL LIKE YOU ARE AT A 5 STAR RESTAURANT. THE ENTREES ARE ANYWHERE BETWEEN 15-26 DOLLARS, HOWEVER THE MINT JULEP PRIDES ITSELF ON QUALITY! IF YOU WANT GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE, AND GREAT ATMOSPHERE GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY. ALSO ON FRIDAY NIGHTS THEY OFFER LIVE MUSIC

Ordered the seafood platter and was disappointed when I received burnt fries and a cold crabcake. Mentioned this to the waitress which she promptly took back to the kitchen to fix. I received decent fries and a rancid crabcake in return. unfortunately, I took a bite of the crab and did not notice the smell untill it was too late. Hopefully ipecac will curb if not stop full blown food poisioning. Would have been nice to speak with the manager of the cook who may unwittingly make someone violently ill one day. We will never go back and I write this as fair warning to all.

Business is has been closed down for weeks now and has a for lease sign out front. Not sure what happened.

Food and atmosphere was excellent. Pizza was good but the fried oysters stole the show. Excellent service!

My favorite Mon, Tues, Fri HH. Dining on Fri is a great experience with super service. Prices very reasonable. Entertainment on Fri is good but a bit loud. Try it, you' ll like it.

Visited establishment on Feb 24, 2014 to redeem a Mint Julep gift card with no expiration. I was informed by Management that they will not honor the $25.00 gift card b/c they have no record and they are now "Julep's Bistro." Interesting since their sign outside their building and picture on the juleps bistro website still says "Mint Julep." They even have a certificate of recognition for 2012 displayed in the entrance that stated TOP RATED restaurant for 2012 presented to MINT JULEP Bistro and Lounge. Can provide photos. What a disappointment. We use to frequent this place, and had large group parties, but had one incident of bad service - we never returned. Ozzie Arroyo

3-19-16. This place was AWESOME! I ordered the seafood platter, corn fritters, and the chicken bites. Everything was hot , fresh and tasty. I enjoyed my food even order twice. Because I went with a large party some ppl were waiting a bit more for their food BUT everything was great. Thank You Guys!!! Leon

HORRIFIC experience, the staff is beyond rude ! They charged me for steak sauce with the 2 steaks I bought ! The bar tender was the worst ! Will never return, and I guess I'm not the only one because it was dead in there . This was a huge mistake & a waste of money !

Excellent food! Very wide variety of starters, what we had (fritters & crabcakes) were delicious, as was the veggie pizza, the rocket salad and the gumbo. The fried oyster are the only item I wouldn't recommend, they weren't bad but they weren't great either. The drinks were delicious (bloody marys and a spicy margarita) and only $3 (happy hour is all day until 7 on Saturday) Large selection of cocktails, good prices and great decor. Will definitely be returning soon.

What a great discovery in northeast Columbia. I do believe we've found the "Cheers" of South Carolina. A warm and friendly staff headed up by the one and only "Uncle M" who makes sure its right from the start. Great drinks, good food, new menus, and a crowd that's inviting. A great place for friends to come and enjoy!

There was nothing here that our group of five had for brunch that couldn't have been made better at home by one of us. The coffee was at first too tepid, then scalding hot. Service was very slow (our waiter was busy eyeing some college girls instead of checking on us).

The atmosphere and food was horrific. Ordered the seafood platter. It was cold. Sent it back with the WAITER . A minute later the WAITRESS bring me back the same order. At that point I gave it back and didn't order anything else. I'm sitting at the table with about 13 people. They had people orders and checks mixed up. One lady didn't get her food until everyone else had eaten there's. I will never go there again. And when I say never. I mean NEVER! I go to the bathroom and 2 of the lights where out. If u don't blieve me. I have the pictures to prove it. Then come out the bathroom. To my right is the kitchen. And there's bag of garbage sitting on the floor. UNCLE whoever needs to do a better job in his establishment. Instead of trying to pass out some coupons.

i just started working here and i have to say " for a smaller little known place the food is quite exquisite" i wasnt expecting the level of dedication and quality coming out of a small restaurant like this.. i can actually take pride in my work when i make your food and if you know you cant rush perfection... which is what you'll get when waiting the few extra mins quality friendly and cutting edge is kinda how i would describe it ... always something new every week for our "specials" so dont be afraid to come check us out we have a bunch of "top shelf" liquors and beers ...new beer comes in every season

One of my favorite placespots in NE Columbia!! It's a relaxed environment, they have great staff, and the owner is phenomenal! I love it!

This place was great. We all had brunch. All the Benedict's were great. Omelette was really good. The cheese grits they serve are really great and fluffy. Everything seemed fresh Thank you

Mint Julep made my mother's birthday dinner so special. The food was good but not spectacular, although the service was excellent. Our waiter and the owner payed special attention to us and had great senses of humor. They catered to everything we asked. It was a little pricey but well worth it for a special occasion. I'd definitely recommend it.

If you're looking for a place that's welcoming and plays old school check them out.

Great food all the time, friendly staff and super environment for fun evening. The scheduled entertainment is all good. Go there often.

We recently had a birthday dinner there and the owner was super accommodating and the service was excellent! I highly recommend dining here. It's a special place that's not your typical chain restaraunt.

Great food, tremendous service and prices are very fair. Love the ambiance also.
