Mint Hotel Amsterdam Review

Friendly service and nice amenities. The airline list my luggage and the hotel was very accommodating getting me toiletries and helping me find the right place to buy clothing.

Very modern hotel right next to Central station and located on the water of the main canal. Big rooms come with big prices though and although its nice there is very little character to this Doubletree. Good for Americans wanting to spread out, bad for everyone else if you want more local flavour in your hotel.

This is an excellent hotel in a great location being right next door to Amsterdam Centraale Train Station. Definitely recommend upgrading to the executive Suite which includes a river view and breakfast in the Executive Lounge.

Excellent service, beautiful view. I like to take foreign guests here and then drink a cup of coffee. Not the cheapest prices and you just have to lie to the public.

Great hotel, good service just as you'd expect from the double tree. Location is perfect for exploring the city. The Skybar on the top floor had incredible views! I'd recommend staying here if you're coming to Amsterdam!

Location is really great! Meeting room on the first is set up strangely.

We staying in room 1012 which is right by the linen closet. Although complaining to the front desk twice and to the people in the hall, there was constant slamming of the doors to get out the linens. Nothing was done about it and when I confronted the people in the hallway that were doing it on on 2 occasions they acted like there wasn t anything they could do. I don t recommend staying in this hotel as they didn t take any action to ensure their staff was quiet while cleaning.

It was so hot at that time while we were in line to check. It was crowded. Somebody that works there distributed a cup of water. We all needed that. When we checked in at 5 pm, there was no room available yet, so the receptionist gave us 2 complimentary drinks at the SkyLounge. We left our luggages at the lobby and enjoyed our drinks while waiting. After the drinks, we came back to check for our room and it was available. The room was clean and spacious. It has a fridge which was a necessity. Huge window. Good size bathroom. It is really close to the train station. We enjoyed our stay here.

The drinks in the bar were great and the staff was very friendly but also entertaining. Having starbucks directly in the building is very nice, too.

This price is for these services, the frolicking and partly dirty breakfast buffet in my opinion not justified!

I have not stayed at this hotel, but I have climbed to the 11th floor just to take panoramic photos of the city. Spectacular.

Ordered The Ice Bucket (basically ice cream and toppings) it took about 25 minutes to arrive (we asked twice how long it would be). When it finally arrived we were told it was because the kitchen was busy..... it was only ice cream! However it had obviously been sitting in the kitchen as it was just mushy cream - nothing ice about it.

Hotel and executive suite was really nice. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was lovely and plenty to choose from. The only down side was the executive lounge, I have visited a few run by the Hilton and this one would be my least favourite. It lacks the variety other Hilton lounges have provided for me previously. Apart from that everything was perfect

I liked the experience at this hotel. Easily reachable, offers good sights and very close to the train station. I'd go back whenever I have the chance.

CAREFUL, upon arrival they charge you a bail amount and in my case another amount more than 262.40 that have stayed with it, they admit the error but they do not return it to me it is incredible, and I have already spoken with at least three reception workers and reservations that admit it but do not return it to me. I feel robbed and scammed. And they don't give me any more explanations. Of course I do not recommend this hotel.

What a fantastic service and friendliness. After a huge disappointment at sky lounge, we went for a bite to eat. Fantastic help, very friendly staff and great prices in combination with location. Enjoyed, thanks team!

Stayed Oct 2016. Modern, well located hotel adjacent to Amsterdam's Central train station. Very modern with an indecipherable climate control and an Apple (or is it apple?) computer instead of a television. If you want to watch TV bring a teenager to turn it on for you. Despite status with Hilton we ended up in a small room, but that may be a function of when we checked in. The hotel has a great bar on the roof, and the gym is small but adequate. Overall, nothing to complain about.

Strange conversion: for some reason, by means of dollars, to pay a bill in euros from an euro card. The result is a huge commission.

Absolutely perfect location for visiting the city on either a leisure or business visit. The rooms are modern and spotless. The hotel has all the amenities you could want. Everything is within walking distance

The hotel might be as good as every one says but the check in process is horrific. DO NOT BOOK A LARGE GROUP HERE. When we tried to check in only one half the stations were open. There was a staff meeting scheduled for check in time. A well run hotel would have done a better job. They guarantee your stay but be wary of checking in, it will ruin your vacation.

Excelent service and some of the best views in Amsterdam. A little pricey, but well worth it.

Here's the thing about this hotel...it is set up so stupidly, you wonder who the hell designed it. It's right next to the train station which is a huge plus. The rooms are sound proofed so you can't hear the train traffic, also a huge plus. The fact that the hotel entrance is at the complete opposite end of the train station is the dumbest thing ever. If you're carrying bags, be prepared to walk the entire length of the hotel to get to the lobby. Oh and also there are only one set of elevators on each floor. If you're given a room that's basically at the train station end, be prepared for a walk to the elevators. The rooms are nice though. I enjoyed our view of the harbor. Our room was a bit small and I wish there had been outlets on both sides of the bed.

We booked a room with a double bed and requested one extra. The extra one was not that comfortable (I still got a backpain), but overall good stay.

The view from our room was amazing. We appreciated the fact that there was a Skybar on the 11th floor.

Clean updated rooms, although tiny but great. The real thing for me was the location, absolutely amazing location!

Location: Amazing! You are 5 min walk from the central station so very convenient to get around the city and to/from airport

Housekeeping: Never ever picks up the phone when you called. You always need to call the front desk then they pass the message then takes another hour for housekeeping to show up. Once I had to call 3x....waited about 2 hours before someone showed up

Bed: Very very firm.....apparently other guests asked for extra topper to make it softer. I asked for one the next night but they ran out and offered to bring extra comforters but gave me a twin size when I have a king size bed >.<!! So I had to wait another hour for another twin size comforter

Breakfast Buffet: Free for Hilton Honors but food aren t very good and some doesn t seem very fresh. You can order omelette, waffles, and pancakes; those were very fresh and delicious. I recommend sticking to those for your free breakfast otherwise I definitely won t pay money for it.

You get free warm big American chocolate chip cookies with some walnuts whenever you want

We visited the Doubletree to see the Skylounge on the 11th floor and it was absolutely worth it. Drink prices were reasonable and with the sun setting I don't think there was a better place to be in all of Amsterdam. definitely worth visiting if for just one drink.

Trendy property in Central location. Not my favourite party of the city, but popular with tourists. Rooms small but well equipped. Except you get a small imac instead of a TV and its really annoying.

On the roof there is a very cool bar! Stunning views of the city!

Good hotel, near the railway station and close to Amsterdam canals. I was lodged on a executive room with a great view towards the city. Room was spacious and very luminous during the day. I also took breakfast there, quality was ok but the place was really full of people, not the best place I you wish have a quiet breakfast.
