Not sure what's so interesting about this place. The service wasn't very good. And neither was the coffee. We always order a single cup to check the service and the coffee. The coffee wasn't particularly good and based on that experience we left and aren't likely to go back.

My family and I come here yearly for a holiday and can not recommend it enough! It is very easy with small children, excellent service and stunning grounds. Every year we all have the best time and all the staff are very accommodating to our large family.

Idyllic retreat, but you probably need to be a golfer to really appreciate it. Restaurants are all over capacity - hard to book and when you get in, too many tables squeezed in. Breakfast is an onstacle course! Also, not ideal for young kids - too many golf carts whizzing everywhere.

Location and accomodations excellent Food well below expectations Service nice willing very young staff but lack of leadership and professionalism was disappointing Ie 40 mins wait for drinks at whiskey bar, very very average buffet Had high hopes but Overall would not recommend regretfully

Had lunch at the Hole in One restaurant. Service was slow, food was cold when it arrived, no staff interaction as they were too busy chatting among themselves in the kitchen. Better meals at Burger King at half the price and twice the speed/service.

I shared a lovely lunch in the sun at the 'hole in one'. The location was wonderful. My eggs benedict were ok. The staff were friendly. My non-alcoholic cocktail took a wee while to arrive, however when it did show up it was refeshing. I will go back.

Picturesque is an understatement. Millbrook is like some fantasy luxury lifestyle that you only see on the big screen. Everything is perfect, great rooms, bars, cafes, gym and pool. Millbrook has it all for the perfect relaxing escape from everyday life. Can't wait for my next visit.

Visited 5 November and had a lovely swim in the indoor pool. There are 3 lanes and when we went there was a kids swimming lesson but only 3 kids so we didn't mind. Then tried the outdoor hotpools/spa. Pool was in a beautiful spot but covers are very tatty and the pond nearby was very murky! Staff were exceptionally helpful however and even took my elderly friend and I to/from the pool by buggy which was really appreciated as it's some walk from the main car park.

Stayed in an on course villa, during June winter, Millbrook has 27 holes, The coronet 9 we re out of play for renovations during our visit. Some great holes here & a good golfing test. Villa was cozy with under floor heating as well as gas room heating. Course was enjoyable, scenery is breathtaking in winter with snow on mountains, Friday night skiing could be seen on slopes from our villa. We were approx 6-7klm from Queenstown town centre, had our own car to explore but resort has shuttle to town & Arrowtown. Meal in main restaurant was beautiful with great service.

I stayed for 8 days from the 20th of September for my sons wedding and absolutely loved everything about the resort .We had a 2 bedroom appartment which was superb the views were breathtacking. All the staff from house keeping to the reception were the best I have seen anywhere in the world once again a massive thank you and hopefully we will see you all again

We held our wedding here and advise against using this venue for a special event . While services at the hotel and restaurant were generally acceptable, we were highly disappointed with the wedding planner. We wanted to have our dog in our wedding photos, but we were told by the wedding planner that no dogs were allowed on the resort. Within 24 hours of arriving, we had seen at least 6 dogs. So apparently it is ok to take your dog to the Hole in One for coffee, but they are not allowed to be in your wedding photos. We also asked about hiring mountain bikes and were told The bikes we had seen were privately owned. We later found mtb hire advertised on the Millbrook website. In hindsight we should have insisted on a full refund and held our celebration elsewhere. Their wedding planner said we were not entitled to refund, which was incorrect. It would seem that Millbrook never sought advice on their obligations with a frustrated contract, alternatively they knew better, but tried to make us believe we were bound to said contract. Either case reflects poorly on an establishment of this caliber. By the time Millbrook acknowledged that the contract was not binding, our plans would have been difficult to change.

Such a cute hotel. Unfortunately we only stayed one night and didn't get to check out anything on site. They have a shuttle that will take you to arrowtown on demand which is awesome. Arrowtown is super cute and you should hike down Arrow River for an easy nice view of crystal clear river water. Hotel room was just what we needed and had a very nice tub. Would definitely come back!

Very punctual and friendly staff, across all departments, makes the resort stand out in an area that is saturated with accommodation options. I love the fact it has its own eco system - multiple restaurants, huge golf coarse and grounds, spa, gym, pool and a huge number of permanent residences means it's always buzzing, with holiday makers and locals alike

Worth it! Beautiful location and excellent service. 3 restaurants available as well as a spa and gym. Accommodation built around a golf course. Definitely worth a stay for a long weekend. Update 2019 - been back a handful of times since my initial review. And I would give it 10/5 stars if I could. I would also recommend the cycling trail via Arrowtown into the Gibston Valley (bike available on site). Keep it up Millbrook and see you next time!

Loved our recent stay. Stunning surroundings with picturesque snow and frosty scenes at every turn. Staff and food was fantastic. Free shuttle service to Queenstown and Arrowtown was appreciated. Heated floors in bathroom and room heated on arrival was welcoming. Only negative were no slippers and on leaving a message on housekeeping phone, did not receive any or rung back. Gym, spa, pool facilities great. Will definitely stay again.

One of the most stunning locations in the Queenstown area. Whether you come to Millbrook to stay, play golf, dine, or simply visit the grounds - you will not be disappointed. Every aspect of Millbrook is of the highest quality, from the food, to the grounds, to the golf course, to the service.

All housekeeping staff is brazilian/argentina and these girls are inexperienced coming on holiday visa. Very rude staff and their managers are even worse. Marcus, the housekeeping manager and vouter (who was kicked out of this hotel) both with the OLD LADY at HR plan how to kick out the staff members. The housekeeping supervisors ( New Zealander ladies) are worthless and rude as well. They are jealous and undeserving. They make indians and brazilians work like slaves giving warnings about the visa that they grant. Poor staff is not given any promotion or correct pay for their work. The japanese owner has no say in this and he just keeps observing without any action. Its such a fake staff and hotel, those who stay here must either be ignorant or fools

Excellent destination for golfers, family and friends. Fitness centre offers free yoga classes for guests. Good walking trail from resort to Arrowtown. Accommodation is comfortable and clean. Meals at Hole-in-one and Millhouse are great!

Surrounded by high mountains and tree covered hills on all sides, Millbrook provides one of the very best resort experiences on the golfers' and non-golfers' trail in New Zealand. The golf, just one of many activities, is played on a full-blooded and immaculately maintained championship layout, designed by no less a golfing great than Sir Bob Charles.
