I cannot say enough good things about Greg and the entire staff at Mike's Famous Harley-Davidson. They made me feel welcome the minute I stepped in the door and throughout my whole purchasing experience. They were patient friendly knowledgeable and courteous even though I purchased a relatively inexpensive Harley I feel like they gave me the red carpet treatment. I would definitely recommend them for any of your Harley-Davidson needs.
I called Jason and told him I just discovered a screw in my rear tire. He told me to bring it down! I brought it down and it was taken right in as soon as I got there. The tire was replaced the bike was washed and cleaned and off I went. How could it get any better than that!
sales department is great, service dept not so much. bought a 2019 rks in may. brought it to the service dept for its 1000 mile service and it was returned to me with scuffs and scratches on the paint from the wash guy dragging a water hose over the paint. was told "we will make it right" yet a month later I'm still looking at my damaged paint. you couldn't pay me to return to that service dept.
Solid and great sales staff. I was completely taken aback by the high level of professionalism and knowledge that was displayed by both Ms. Shirl and George. I was extremely pleased during the entire proccess leading up to the purchase of my 2016 HD 48. I will recommend Mikes Famous to both my work colleagues and friends.

You want to get screwed over then this is the place to go. Was told I would be able to make payment towards the principal cuz I got hit with a 22.99 interest rate. I was cool with it cuz I make great money and I can pay it off fast. Well come to find out That the Harley Davidson financial won t let you make a payment towards the principal with out collecting some interest money at all time. Make no sense at all. But the finance manager will say whatever it take to close the deal. They probably going to delete this review but be warned..
Brought the bike in on a Saturday, along with my wife's trike that we got from MFHD. I needed an oil change; her reverse wasn't working. Most places would say, let's set an appointment... they took BOTH right in. We grabbed lunch and they were done when we returned. Great Job!!

Bought a new Lowrider from Mike's in August 2017 and had a lot of fun doing it. I dealt with Shirl, who was always pleasant and helpful, and she followed through with things she said she would do, including some favors regarding info on the Rider's Academy that were not really part of her job. The whole place functioned as a team, and every person I dealt with was a real pleasure. I would recommend Mike's to anyone looking for a Harley without hesitation.

Shortened version of my experience.
Initial offer was made with "room to negotiate" based on knowing that it needed a new battery and had under 3000 miles on it.
Bike was picked up for inspection
Called back with a list of three fixes priced at nearly 2k...
Asked for details.
-Labor to swap a battery
-Oil change
-Swap tire
Reminder HE SAID THIS WAS 2k for an hours worth of work
I had already OEM priced out parts and average labor cost
Then offered 1000 less than initial as a favor. Going back on what we had already discussed BEFORE they picked bike up.
When asked if they could look me in eye and shake hand to that offer and reasoning in person, I was told they would call back.
Was told what they would list bike for, given current pricing, they were taking a loss which made no sense to buy it.
They within half hour found another 500 to add, still 500 below initial starting offer. Reminder they already picked bike up.
During our convos George, the man I was unfortunately stuck dealing with, was rude, and interrupted me during every question or concern I had with his sudden change.
He told me what dealers priced it at, which was a blatant lie as I had the local dealers prices up when I asked if he had researched. During this convo he for some reason felt the need to drop the fact he has a 5 million dollar home on long island sound (true or not), there was no need for this during a discussion where he was trying to skate me out of another thousand bucks.
The entire time I had been on calls, was a complete waste. This man wanted to try and cheap me out as much he could, when it was clear they wanted my bike. They said they had to then charge me to swap it back to full stock, but when asked for my after market parts, told me they wanted to keep them on... Again, another contradictory.
When I went in to just get it over with, there may have been a total of 10 words spoken to me. By far the worst salesman I have ever met, and would suggest that no one return to do business with these guys, or at the least this salesman.
In a time where people are having to part ways with things to pay bills, this guy wants to take advantage so he can brag about his 5 million dollar home during a sales call.

Really well stocked inventory of new and used bike's. They had the exact bike (and color) I wanted for my last purchase. I have purchased two bikes through Mike's in the past and will go back for my next purchase.

I found this dealership to be the best I've visited. During a recent Iron Mountain Rally ride, we rode to the dealership and was welcomed with an all you could eat and drink lunch along with a cash gift! I met Angle in parts who was absolutely laser focused on handling my questions and offering great suggestions. I met Mike, too and enjoyed the chat! This dealership is one that should set the standards for all others! I look forward to a return visit.

UPDATE: I recently returned to mikes harley for the basic rider course with Mr. Frank Galley.WHAT AN AWESOME TEACHER!!!! this guy was amazing at riding and he teaches you the correct way. I could not say enough good things about the riding academy, but Frank and Rob went above and beyond to make sure saftey was 1st, and fun was 2nd!!! 10000000% recommend this course and this shop. Frank and rob are absolute assets to this academy!!!

I recently had some trouble with my bike so I called mikes even though it was after close. I didn't expect anyone to pick up the phone but they did. They trouble shooted what it might be then they said they would send someone out to look at it not the next day but that same day. They have outstanding customer service.
I've been to some Harley dealers in CT and Mike's is by far the best. You can tell that the staff there are family and are they are very inviting. They don't want to sell you a bike, they want to make sure that you're happy. I've never felt pressured to buy anything and when trying to find the right fit for me and my budget, Rich and Shirl were extremely helpful and made it happen. In the heart of New London, this dealership was able to fix a reoccurring problem with my Harley that my home dealer could not. I was on a 4000 mile trip and they were able to provide service as a walk-in customer. They correctly diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in a few hours, they saved my vacation and my Harley.
Always great service at mikes, from oil changes to warranty work and everything in between,and always get my bike back cleaner than when brought in.

Great place, even better staff. I came here for a used sport bike after exploring some other dealers around the state. I was greeted quickly by Nick who wasn t pushy, but made himself available if I needed any help. After hours of indecisiveness I finally decided on a bike I wanted, Nick was patient and understanding and ultimately was interested in my happiness with the bike, I don t have my endorsement but they allowed me to test drive it on their range to make sure I liked it and was comfortable. My credit isn t the greatest but they were able to secure financing that fit my budget and even found me cheaper insurance! If you re in the market for a bike check these guys out, you won t be disappointed! Bring on spring!!
Took the MSF course here this weekend, with the instructor Frank. Absolutely zero motorcycle experience and thanks to his help I was able to pass. Nice guy, good instructor, just keep trying and don't give up and he won't give up on ya.

Bought used tried to sell me on 17% interest u til walked then called back at much lower %. Should research your own financing.
Second the bike has had power issues since I got it. They picked up swapped battery ect. I get it back still have issues but hurt back so had it in storage. I unhook tender and take seat off. The ground and power are older cables with exterior snapped and cables exposed. The positive is directly to frame exposed.
A maybe 20 dollar fix they had to see and just ignored if they didn't break of the rubber themselves.

This was the second time I did an upgrade to a different bike at Mike's. I went from a 2010 Electra Glide to a 2011 Tri-Glide this time. Both times they worked with me to get my payments to meet my budget. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Since I purchased my 2016 CVO in September, I've had it in for 1K service as well as replacement of a leaking shock. Both visits I was greeted pleasantly by the service staff, they understood my service needs without repeated conversation and both services were completed well within my expected time limits.

This is a very nice dealership. Lots of nostalgic stuff that give it some real flair. Tons of bikes to choose from. Staff was nice and we had a great conversation with the sales rep. It is in a very unusual place but I like it. It's an old converted warehouse. Well worth the stop.
Plenty of bikes to choose from if you're into heavy bikes. The gear is expensive but they do have sales and friendly staff. The reason my review is so low is the msf course. They use the Harley Street 500 bikes to teach the course. If the course is geared towards beginners you should use beginner bikes that dont weigh almost 500 pounds. I dropped the bike a couple times and it hurt my wrist.
What a great experience shopping for my new ride, a 2016 Triglide Ultra. Shirl took care of me from test rides through purchase, making my dreams come true. She did a great job all around, she took the extra steps needed to get me on that trike. Mike's staff was there to support her and me all along the way. I've been a customer of Mike's since 2012 but this is my first bike purchase there. Let's continue this good relationship.

Mike's Harley-Davidson in New London is the great place to do business with. I have purchase to bike from Mike's, have had service done on my bike and visited their parts department to purchase extras for my bike. Always a pleasant experience. The staff is always friendly and super helpful. I do miss being able to stop in and have a cup of coffee. Just one of the casualties of this Coronavirus. Another thing that I do appreciate is how clean the bathroom is at Mike's. Definitely a five-star dealership.
My salesman(dreammaker) Greg worked with my for over a year to get me exactly what I was looking for. I had no pressure to purchase anything I didn t want and they gave me tons of ideas I never thought of to help me make a decision.
