Mija Mexican Cantina and Tequila Bar Review

Food was ok, ridiculously slow service. Not worth it.

Okay. The tacos were good, but not 3 for $20 good. Came here with a party of 3 and was waited on by two people, didn't seem to be for training. Either way, they were very helpful and nice. No complaints there.

Great service! Delicious margaritas and great music on Friday nights.
Basically only Latin bar in town!!! So as a tourist and Mexican, I had to check it out

Food was blah. Service was just ok. Took 35 minutes to get 3 tacos. Won't be back.

Great drinks and the Nachos were so good. Great ambience.

Yeah I got the carne asada with papas fritas and it was absolutely awful. It was drowning in BBQ sauce. $26. The drinks were okay but overly expensive. Never coming back. It wasn t even hot. The fries were also awful :))) save ur money!!!

Great experience. Hostess (Taylor) and manager ( Alex ) was awesome. Had Hotel California ,Beer ,and other adult drinks. Would definitely recommend this place down to earth people ( employees).

Service a little slow and kind of expensive but amazing food and drinks.

It was worst service I got in my life. When we order the drink and water.
. It tools them 1/2 hour to get water. That also came when I ask her. The food to came after a hour which also we ask for it. I do not recommend any one to go.

The place is very nicely decorated I love the inside and the option to sit outside in the warmer weather. It's in a perfect location. I think it's on the pricey side. There's a larger menu of booze than there is food. But everything tasted great!

Go if you want Arrogant terrible waiters with mediocre drinks

The food was awesome!! The hostess came over and said she had to clean off a couple tables and she would seat us when she came right back. After she walked away the manager came flying over to us. And said we have no tables and don t allow dogs. So after almost ripping his head off. For being approached in a rude challenging manner. He is a service dog game on!! He has been everywhere with us. With no issues at all. People love him everywhere we go. He s a well behaved and trained 7lbs Chihuahua. We saw 3 tables wide open when we walked by and we were hungry. So this was our first Experience with this restaurant. If it wasn t for the manager it would ve been five stars. Loved the food!! Hope we never get greeted like this again. On the 4th of July.

Horrible service, rude staff, margaritas were weak and and pretty bad for a tequila bar and Mex restaurant. Food was over priced and not flavorful.

Great place. I loved the music and the environment of been in a bar and feel Latina without going to a club. Food is good and service too.

Way overpriced crappy margiritas. Go to Chili's and get one 10x better. 5 margaritas $75 ridiculous...

Worst place to go out, manager got upset people were dancing at his bar. No wonder the place was very empty...

This place has tons of problems. Bad employees and terrible customer service and loads of reviews saying mediocre food at best. The bar also has tons of negative reviews regarding racial profiling and bad service. If you are considering eating here, do not eat here!

One of my favorite tequila bars, really great cocktails and margaritas. Expect to pay a pretty penny for it though.

I love Mija. It is such a great place to go to after work or grab a quick bite at lunch time. Dan is always so nice and quick. I will definitely be back.

Good food and drinks, along with friendly servers. In a very popular area of Boston, so can get very crowded and there might be a long wait.

A moderately priced boozy after work bar that doesn't get too busy. The place closes early.

Got cut on a door and management didn t really offer any help.

Great atmosphere and great frozen drinks. Stopped in to take a rest from all the walking in Quincy Market and it was well worth it. Had the tacos and the creamsicle frozen drink! Awesome.

While the food menu is quite small we loved everything we ordered. The plantains were the best plantains I ve ever had. The tequila flight was perfect to get a little taste of different brands. They served Downeast pumpkin cider that was the sooo good. So good in fact we drove to the cider distillery which was about 15 mins away and bought an entire case.

The cocktails were okay at best. The guacamole tasted store-bought and so did the chips. Not saying they were, but they left something to be desired. The Mexican rice was bland, only tasting of oil and cumin. The chicken taco was delicious. The carne asada taco was dry. The carnitas taco was exceptional. Nachos are good and served in a huge portion. Customer service left something to be desired. Music was banging and the decor was great.

SAW A RAT IN THE SEATING AREA! Two tables down from where I was sitting. I had just finished the meal. The waitress was very responsible and took all of our food (not drinks) off of the bill. If it weren t for that, I would have given it a 5 star rating

The first time I went there a few days ago I ordered a vegetable bowl and they gave me a burrito instead. I didn t have time to wait for them to fix it because I had a flight to catch. The burrito was ok, but nothing special.

The 2nd time I ate there, a few minutes ago, I ordered nachos. I got them to go because there was nowhere to sit in the restaurant. Sooooo disappointing!! There was no Pico de gallo and hardly any cheese at all!! Tons of chips and not much else. This might have been better if served in the restaurant and not to go, but what they gave me was not good. For $14 I was very disappointed. Still hungry. Not eating there again.

Great place to go for after work drinks. Fun vibe, strong drinks, great food.

The only "Mija" thing about this place is their margaritas...and you will want more than a few in order to drown your sobriety with all the bs music they play here. Please change the name of this place and type of restaurant because what type of name is Mija and you don't serve Mexican food. Sirven basura. Noches!
