The room was very clean and I had a really good customer service with Chelsea at the front desk!

First time visit and really enjoyed our stay! Stayed 2 nights to visit friends and everything was clean, cozy and welcoming. When we come back, will definitely be staying here. Convenient to everything we needed to get to. Thanks so much!

This is a clean hotel, with a friendly staff and a convienient location. The pros of this property include acceptable WiFi speed, comfortable beds, and a useful desk in the rooms. The cons include a limited selection of breakfast foods (yogurt, cereal, fruit, bagles, muffins, juices), ie low protein, and no on-site exercise facilities. They do offer $5 passses for a local gym. Another great perk is a $5 coupon for a drink at the next door Pizzeria Uno. Bottom line, this is a fine hotel to stay at. The staff really made my stay great.

This Microtel has very nice rooms, not spacious, but not cramp either. Everything looks new and fresh; the lobby, the elevator, the halls and the rooms. Not sure what year this read built it renovated, but it must be recent.
They have a few "suites" as well, which is what we stayed in. The room basically has a queen size bed on each side of a middle island. The island has a sink, coffee maker and fridge. They also put a wardrobe closet in the same area. This acts has a half wall, so no privacy, but separation. Which is nice if you want to look at your phone after the kids go to bed. They also have an option if a bed and soda bed. There bed by the window has a little star with a cushioned seat, which could function as a small breed if your child won't roll off, as it is quite high up.
My only complaint about the room is lack of accessible plus near the bed. There were none! I had my phone at the foot of the bed and my wife had hers on the island counter (although with a long enough charging cord, she could reach it to the bed). This is a major oversight in our connected world.
The lobby is very poorly designed for function m it looks great, open and bright. But then when it functions as a breakfast room, it's silly. There is not enough country space and no refrigeration. The yogurts eye sitting in a Tupperware container in ice, that was sitting in an end table. Your choices were very router bananas, three cold cereals and one type of muffin, in addition to yoghurt. I mean, it's free, but lacking from many other continental breakfasts I've seen. Sorry that may be due to lack or space sure to poor design.
Overall, I give it for stars because I want expecting a great breakfast (although better than that), and the room and hotel were otherwise very nice. Improve the plug situation by the beds and add a mini fridge, oatmeal, toast and toaster and I'll give you five stars. But I would hesitate to stay here next time I'm on my way to Quebec.

Caring and attentive staff, clean and comfortable rooms.

Great hotel. Open coffee and tea bar 24/7. Full breakfast bar in the mornings...very bold choice considering that most all other hotels in the area have done away with such things due to the threat of transmitting COVID-19.

Great place and a good price. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The room had a small couch seperated by a galley kitchen with a sink, microwave and refrigerator. Everything was super clean. My only criticism was the room had a little bit of a funky smell. The location was also very good. Close to restaurants and the mall. Right off the Interstate and a ~10 minute frive to the ferry dock.

I wouldn't hesitate staying here in the future. Great place!

best in the Burgh? Hampton prolly diasgrees but its same owner. Its just cheaper tho

The room was clean and pleasant, however the walls must be very thin because it was very noisy. The room next to us had their tv going all night and we could hear every word said.

I liked this place, it was clean. The staff was very nice. The rooms are big, an Unos restaurant is right next door.

Great staff who help when you are stuck in a weather cycle with college students who have to head back to college 1 or 2 days early.

Not a bad place for employment and is kept up nicely.

The room was clean and the staff was great for our stay. It had also snowed and everything was cleaned up.

I work for a non-profit organization. Microtel has generously donated linens that have been taken out of service. These are made into homemade quilts for the needy. I periodically stop in for more donations. Microtel is a wonderful hotel and also a great community asset.

Simple rooms, with all amenities... nothing fancy, but very clean. excellent service ,, great location , free breakfast... you can't ask more for the price

Clean for sure. Lots of towels. All good if you stay only max 2 nights. Breakfast doesn't serve hot food like egg, bacon or sausage. Pretty poor taste of coffee. Other than that, it works with the price. If you have young ones who need something to do always, NO pool is a bit problem to choose this place.

Clean, comfortable, reasonable price, pleasant staff. Loved the pillow top mattress and window bench seat.

Overpriced for the location and type of hotel. We were on a mother/daughter/dog trip. We actually tried to cancel and they were not keen. They charged double ahead of time when it would cost half if we had driven up and paid that night. This is my second stay in a Microtel and I would not advise it. If you can get it cheap, fine, but don t make reservations with them unless it s your only option. There are better options. Again, it s okay, but room for improvement for this chain. This hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Breakfast is bleh.

Clean room, quiet place, ok breakfast. The reception staff at the hotel is really excellent. Location near shopping centers and restaurants. Recommend strongly!

Plusses: Hotel was clean, bed was comfortable, and staff was helpful and friendly. Negatives: Room was a little musty smelling and the couch was uncomfortable. Soinds like a strange complaint, but the lighting was terrible. I booked this room because I could bring our dog and they accepted my hotels dot com points. I would have been a little disappointed if I paid full price and was staying for more than an overnight.

Very nice quiet hotel. Friendly and accommodating staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. All your typical amenities. Located within a mile of several restaurants, shopping malls and plazas. Definitely recommend!!

There for 2 weeks- only saving grace was its dog friendly

I have to say this is one of the cleanest, most affordable hotels in Plattsburgh! I have stayed at many of the local establishments only to be overwhelmed by the smell of cheap air freshener and mold... this place was ULTRA-CLEAN I will definitely stay again!

Rooms are NEW and very clean. I love the set up and the service.

Newer, clean place, free fresh cold continental breakfast included, laundry facilities on site, staff helpful and generous with local Red Cross efforts

Nice hotel and location. The best thing is very easy to check in and checkout (took few seconds). Breakfast nothing special but good.

The hotel is clean and the service at the front desk is excellent. The maid we met was pleasant. During the visit, the elevator was out of order for the whole weekend. The room although small is ok. It lacked a refrigerator though.

Nice place for overnight stay. Clean. Rooms are on a small side, but that is why it's called microtel.

Very nice hotel. The room is small, compared to other hotels, but everything is clean, and cozy. Seems like it's brand new. The people that work there are very nice. Breakfast is just a basic coffee, bagel and cereal kind of breakfast, which is just fine for me! I really liked it, and I would recommend this place.

By far the Best Microtel anywhere. Perfect in everyway. FANTASTIC ROOMS & SERVICE! A must if in the area.

The rooms are super clean . The beds are very comfortable , and the staff is super friendly and helpful. I can't say that the breakfast is a home run, but it is fresh and the dining area is well thought out .

My only complaint is other customers allowing doors to slam well past the time one should know to keep noise down. Maybe if front desk staff
could remind us all when we check in? And front desk staff was great as always, friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast goods assortment is good. Housekeeping friendly and efficient.
We've been staying at this hotel for at least 5 years when we visit our family in this area and will continue to do so.

We couldn't of asked for better service. 4 year old Granddaughter ended up with upset stomach Saturday night and they were amazing. Gave us old towels just in case, for the 3 hour trip home and and were very tentative. Two thumbs up for all the companion. Thank you.

I was little disappointed in the room itself. I have stayed at Microtel Inn and Suites in the past In other states and always been extremely satisfied. This time the cost was more, the room was smaller, there was no fridge, there was no coffee maker in the room. (All of the ones I have stayed in have had these had these as standard) there wasn't even an iron or ironing board. And to top it off, the air conditioning didn't work. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and it was pet friendly, with an area to walk your dogs and clean up bags provided. The free breakfast was the basic, toast, bagels, muffins, cereal, coffee and juice. The staff was friendly. So it wasn't the worst place I have stayed but not the best either.

Microtel puts the major hotel chains to shame. It's not regal or expensive but they've not forgotten the crux of the hospitality industry is customer experience. The building is clean and full of nice little touches like the night lights in the bathroom. Everyone is friendly and you will enjoy your stay. The big chains could learn a lot from microtel.

This hotel is simply amazing. The rates are very cheap compared to what you get. Clean and comfortable. And they will accommodate any request as far as comfort goes. Awesome hotel.

We experienced a family tragedy and didn't have prior reservations. The staff was kind and helpful for the short time we were in town. The room wasn't fancy, but it was clean and quiet. The small fridge was put to use and we had morning coffee, but we didn't explore other amenities. I would recommend it as a good value.

This is our home away from home. We have been staying here since it opened and this is family.

It was nice clean. Bonnie the house keeper set up my kids stuffed animals in funny manner and my kids got a hoot. Breakfast was a little lacking, but hey I didn't go there for breakfast

Comfy and good price for small inn/hotel. No curb appeal but well designed space of clean, modestly sized room. Cushioned window bench seat is a pleasant spot for reading. Shapeable pillows, aah. Super AC. Refrigerator. Breakfast had all the basics (hard-boiled eggs, oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, etc.) 24 hour coffee in lobby. Be sure to check room rates directly with Microtel. I got a much better price than booking through online service.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Microtel in Plattsburgh. It was clean, well located, and the staff were helpful and very nice.

We loved our stay here. Staff was very nice. It was super clean and everything looked brand new. Our room had 2 beds and a kitchenette including a mini fridge and a microwave which was a nice surprise. The continental breakfast was good too, bagels, toast, 3 different kinds of cereal, oatmeal, muffins, fruits, coffee and a variety of juice. We definitely would like to return to this location!!

Very small rooms hence the micro. Walls were paper thin could hear both sides as well as above I would ask for the top floor in the future period breakfast basic. Otherwise clean and reasonable to spend a night.,,, the price was good and right

I normally go to Days Inn. But I have to say we lived it her and will be choosing this hotel for now on..
