I interacted with Evan Cai, Michelle Chan & Serena Nguyen, as a tenant, and all 3 of them were exceptionally helpful. And all their processes are paperless, which makes it a lot easier.

Made bogus claims about apartment being dirty then...

Made bogus claims about apartment being dirty then finally agreed they were absurd but have delayed bond as long a possible.

Finally after lodging my bond refund they spell my name wrong on the bond form and it gets rejected by the authority and has to be submitted again, unsure if this was done on purpose or incompetence.

5 weeks and still do not have my $2600 bond back.

Would recommend any who doesn't have money back by the 10th businesses day after moving out (as long as the can legally hold it) goes straight to VCAT.

Would never deal with them again.

We, the Committee of Stage 4, City Edge, 2 - 36 Napier Street, South Melbourne, are completely impressed with the service MICM provides us. Our Manager is Anthony Henry, a very busy, knowledgeable, hands on operator with a treasure chest of knowledge about buildings and the associated amenities. Anthony has a huge portfolio as he is in demand but does make an effort to answer all calls and emails or directs them to his second in command, who is also extremely helpful. A far superior service to our previous managers, Turnbull Cook.

Thank you so much Sarah, Georgia, Lina and all the other team members involved in me renting my dream apartment! From the first moment Sarah and everyone else was very friendly and helpful with me showing me the available units and then helping me throughout the process. After rude calls and nasty emails I am starting to get the distinct feeling that MICM hate their tenants. At the very least they do not see them as customers but open wallets that should just shut up and pay rent without enquiry or complaint.
If you are considering using MICM as your agent take this into consideration as your potential tenants will be keen to get away from you and your rental property.
If you are a tenant consider this fair warning.
I am a tenant that pays on time and does not create waves and get treated like a sap. Imagine if you actually had an issue?

If you have other choices, avoid renting from MICM real estate. They will literally waste your time if you deal with the wrong person. However some of them are helpful and care to provide an acceptable quality of service. Also, avoid paying 3 months rent in advance, in addition to the bond. They may call it "company policy". And ask for BPAY instead of direct debit.

I had a great experience when purchasing through Jen Lin Lau and Jenny Huo from MICM - Jen was very helpful and responsive throughout the purchase process. Without her timely follow-up call after the inspection, patient responses to queries, and her genuine advise and assistance to a first home buyer and fist time auction bidder like me, I might ve missed the chance of making this purchase. She presented genuine willingness to help achieve the best deal for both parties in the negotiation process. And her smile made it much less stressful too! Also wanted to thank Jenny for assisting me getting through the nerve wrecking auction.

Never attend a MICM auction. They literally misguide you especially Jaaz Singh. He will tell you all the false stories and creates impression that you will win the auction and get the house much less than the market price. once you go there, you obviously realise that he needed another person to stand in the crowd. he does the same trick with many people to show the crowd at auction. He doesn't really value your time and emotion. I wonder how people can stoop to these low levels for a win. I am never going to do any business with MICM in my life.

I am very impressed with Venus Ho, from MICM Southbank. She has helped us tremendously by understanding our needs and going the extra mile by showing us more units that are suitable for my mother.

On top of that, she recommended other beautiful locations with a view and really took time with us.

My wife and I were in a horrible situation of having to sell our home quickly to finance healthcare for several sick relatives. Cary Thornton not only understood our predicament, but went the extra miles to help us whilst we dealt with healthcare individuals and even a funeral.

Keeping in touch regularly, being thoughtful, thinking strategically are all what Cary does as his de facto standard.

Our concerns about funds, being remote when selling, and the market conditions, were all eased by his truly experienced and skilled, helpful approach to everything.

I find a lot of Estate agents get far too wrapped up in themselves. It's not so here as Cary understands and makes sure it 100% all about you.

The incompetence of all staff I have dealt with over our 3 year tenancy astounds me. They seem to manage to mess up even the smallest of things, and arranging repairs/contractors/ changing over the lease has been a massive headache at every turn. Not one dealing with them has ever gone smoothly.
Just today for example they gave an old tenants details (which we had told them had moved out many times) to a contractor and then had added the new tenants email incorrectly in their system- even though my housemate had specifically put all current correct contact details for the apartment in his original email to arrange this contractor.
I honestly don't know how the company functions.

My unit at Concept Blue (Blue Tower) at 68, La Trobe Street, Melbourne, is handed to MICM Real Estate, at Southbank, VIC3006, is well managed and whoever MICM assigned the Prop. Mgr is well qualified. The PM presently is Joe Carpino who takes care of my unit well and attend to the tenant needs promptly and keep the landlord well posted .
MICM Real Estate has managed my unit since June 2010 and it never cross my mind to change MICM for others.
I am a fully satisfied landlord under the Management of MICM in Melbourne.

I've had a few property managers during my time renting this apartment and my experience has varied depending on the manager. However, today I had a great experience thanks to Shahzeb Kayani and Natalie Briggs, I notified them of a problem with the shower and it was fixed just hours later. I'm very happy with their prompt and helpful response.

By far the worst releastate agency I have ever used. The building manager never returns my calls or emails, the reception desk is so rude. I have had to drive to the office just to talk to someone about a maintenance problem because no-one will respond. If you are looking at renting in the area do yourself a favour and seriously do not rent with micm.

As a tenant with 10 years of dealing with property...

As a tenant with 10 years of dealing with property managers, MICM is the worst group I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with.

Every single query is met with delays and confusion. Nobody in the group communicates with each other and if anything is outside of an ordinary request (i.e. exactly as it says in their run book) they have no idea what to do. Not to mention every single time I call to speak to the property manager, they're unavailable, their assistant is unavailable, and I have to be transferred 3 times to be told this.

1. We've had items stolen from our 'Secure' car park, and MICM refused to provide assistance, as they "didn't have time" to review CCTV footage.
2. Ongoing issues with the elevators in the building not working, meaning everyone in the block needs to use the stairs for days at a time.
3. Problems with sewage smells rising through the drainage in the building to which we were simply told "put some draino in and it will sort it out" even after explaining that we'd tried all other avenues and needed someone to inspect.
4. We've been trying for 6 months to organise billing for the bulk hot water in the building, MICM have advised 2 different companies to contact, both of which have no record of the building, apartment or service. When questioned on it, MICM simply said "we don't know then, they should have the details".
5. Following have my phone, wallet and keys stolen recently. MICM took 3 days to even respond to my queries after leaving a series of voicemails and emails. And then has the audacity to ask for $130 for the service of replacing the garage remote. Other similar buildings charge closer to $30 for a replacement. Price gouging at its best, when a tenant can't even access their home or car.

I'm certain that the only reason a company with such a history of incompetence is still able to function is because it must charge significant fees to owners/developers, and presumably has long term contracts in place.

If the building wasn't contracted to MICM I'd be discussing with the owner (who I'm able to contact simply because MICM have been SO useless in providing any service). If you have any choice at all in the matter, avoid MICM.

Very hard to get hold of them if there is a problem.
Our property manager Stephanie Harris is almost unavailable , neither would she return calls.
Their office keeps redirecting the calls from one department to another and no one knows what s going on!
I ve dealt with a few other real estates in past and have found them alot more organised and professional in their way of operation!

Despite the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions and being interstate we decided to look at the opportunity to sell our apartment in Melbourne, On contact with Qiao from the first discussion the confidence and knowledge she shared with us was exceptional.
