This hotel is all about the pool. Difficult to think of a more impressive pool in the world - 40m+ of infinity looking right onto the Aegean. Truly amazing. Visited post-COVID, so the dining arrangements were slightly different - I'd definitely pick the Meditteraneo restaurant over the buffet - better food, service and atmosphere. Premium Sea View room was exceptional, definitely worth the bit extra for the view. Finally, the location is secludedly - perfect if you want to stay in the resort, but if you want to venture out, a car rental is a must (highly recommend Costas Car Rental in Kos Town - will drop off at the hotel for you).

Been there just for dinner at the a la carte restaurant bu the infinity pool.

Every dish we have tried was very good with amazing service.
We had very limited time and everyone in service team helped us with being very quick so we caught our ferry

The rooms are great, the food is good, and the staff is great and very friendly. Unfortunately, the way to the sea is not suitable for disabled people, the sea is very difficult to get in and out with a handicap. I myself amputated thighs, I found it extremely difficult.

We spent our summer vacation on Kos as a couple at the Michelangelo Resort.
The hotel complex is very nice overall.
Above all, the pool area with a fantastic view of the sea scores points here. The resort also has several sun loungers with umbrellas by the sea. It was very pleasant both at the pool and on the beach and the waiters were very attentive. The waiters and the service were also very friendly and attentive overall.
The food (buffet) in the hotel was rather satisfactory. There was often the same thing and not too much choice. Often the food from the previous day was mixed with other ingredients and served as a new dish. Another thing to complain about is that the tablecloth often had (visible) holes when eating. In my opinion, that shouldn't happen in a 5 * star hotel.
The rooms were rather adequate. The interior was very old and a bit shabby. Everything rather cold and without style.
There was also (visible) mold on the joints of the shower in the room. There is also a clear point deduction from me. There is absolutely no such thing in a 5 * star hotel.
Our vacation here was generally okay. I cannot recommend the hotel to anyone.

To the hotel:
The system meets your 5 stars in all areas. It's clean and tidy, well-kept and hardly shabby. Very nice planting.

The pools:
There are three pools. One with a bar and an infinity pool.
The water is very clean. The service always present. The waiters walk through the rows regularly but not intrusively, taking orders.
The loungers are comfortable. However, it should be mentioned that a place can only be obtained here with an early reservation. At least that applies to the infinity pool.

The beach:
It's a stone beach. One should keep this in mind when looking for sand. Personally, I found it very pleasant, because I don't like sand in the room and clothes. We had swimming shoes for swimming. So it was absolutely unproblematic to get into the water. If you are sensitive, you should definitely take some with you.
I would like to mention that the way to the beach is not easy. Not suitable for the disabled or the elderly as it is relatively steep and wide.

But the way is worth it! Such clear, dreamlike water! Beautiful!

It was no problem to find a place on the beach, whether it was morning or afternoon.
The service is the same as at the pool.

The staff:
Both the service staff and the reception staff were mostly friendly.
I would particularly like to praise Michael from the team on the beach. He was always super friendly and very dedicated. You can tell that he goes about his work with all his heart and soul.

The cleaning of our room was fine.

The room:
We had a double room comfort with side sea view . We actually saw the sea.
Otherwise it was a normal double room, with a folded sofa as a third bed. The little one was comfortable. He slept well.
There was also a small fridge and a hair dryer. However, it is not suitable for long hair. Better to bring one yourself :)

The food:
You really get full marks here. It was varied and very tasty! Every evening a different topic and great, creative ideas.
The prices for the drinks are also ok (for those who book half board).

So all in all really commendable. We felt comfortable and welcome.

Beautifully located hotel, beautiful facility and very helpful staff. Unfortunately there were some difficulties in table service, sometimes extremely slow, due to the Greek protocol on Covid-19, in our opinion irrational and unmotivated, and in any case different from the Italian one, albeit very restrictive, as the director promptly explained to us. , prompt in taking up our criticisms; he summoned us and explained how the hotel had to deal with unforeseen situations (breezy closure and frantic search for service personnel). Perhaps prior information to customers on the requirements of the Greek protocol on Covid-19 could avoid misunderstandings. However, an implementation of the staff in the dining room is necessary, which perhaps is already being done ... Hopefully. Otherwise cleanliness is ok and generally the quality of the food too. Well equipped rooms with adjustable and quiet air conditioning.

Excellent food, great pool, calm and relaxed atmosphere, friendly employees.

Fantastically beautiful holiday in a highly recommended hotel. Quiet location, beautiful view with a view of the more and Turkey. Only 2 km to the spa. Bus stop right outside the door. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The breakfast was varied and every evening there was a different theme buffet. Also in the off season worth a visit. Gladly again!

The Michelangelo Resort & Spa is a 5 * hotel, which if you go after the following positive points, the 5 * deserves it. However, if you follow the rather negative reviews, in our opinion it only deserves 3.5 *.

First of all: we were in the resort for 12 days and you have to consider that you don't necessarily pay little here. We only had half board and not all inclusive.

First the positive:
- The reception was very friendly and warm. We got a soft drink and a nice gentleman brought us and the suitcases to our room. He then briefly explained to us where we could get the beach towels and what is where.
- The view from the balcony is simply amazing and you look over the sea to Turkey (Attention: pay attention to mobile communications, because Turkish network does not belong to EU roaming and is chargeable)
- The breakfast and dinner are great and there is always something different on offer for 7 days. The buffet is repeated after 7 days.
- The staff (with one exception) is super friendly, nice, helpful and very competent. It is astonishing that the waitresses can remember what you had drunk the night before and we were always asked if everything was good and how we were. Small talk was also included.
Biggest compliments to the staff!
- The location of the hotel is rather remote. Which is actually very nice. With the rental car or the bus, which leaves about every 40 minutes, you can get to Kos town or the thermal baths in no time. Bus travel is very cheap here. You only have to pay 2 per person and it's an adventure.

Now the negative:
- The gentleman at the beach bar is a bit unsympathetic and not necessarily the friendliest here.
- The room
Black spots in the bathroom at the joints and the shower wall. The faucet on the sink is calcified, as is the shower head and its bracket. Unfortunately, no dust is wiped and hair from the previous guest is also flying around in the room. The balcony is dirty and is not cleaned. A chair on the balcony will soon fall apart.
In general, the condition is rather bad. The cupboard in which the refrigerator is hidden falls apart and there is no minibar. The glasses are simply rinsed briefly and residues remain on the glass. It is not really swept or wiped, the dirt is constantly flying around in the room. Ants are permanent guests. The TV is outdated, the sound of the TV is rather poor and the picture is no longer the best either.

To put it in a nutshell

We think that you are paying way too much money and that there are certainly better hotels on the island. 5 * didn't deserve it and for 5 * it just got extremely depressed, because the furniture hasn't been renewed since it opened and unfortunately it runs through the whole hotel.

Staff fantastic nothing was a problem.
Infinity pool was endless room spotless.
Private beach with sunbed large bean bags under trees.
Worth upgrading for views of sea and Turkish mountains.
Good evening programme live music.
Kos town 10mins on bus 2 euros good service night and day.
Just to note lots of stairs.
Germans reserve sunbeds at 6am lol!
All this with a smile considering the situation on the world at the moment

Great hotel area with a nice outdoor area. Generous buffet. Rooms are a bit old. Cleanliness in the rooms is unfortunately not a 5 star level.

Excellent service, good but standard rooms, high level of cleanliness. The main pool is amazing: very clean, very long with different depths, very beautiful. Infinity pool merging with the sea, has rescue services. This is the main attraction. There are many varied seating around the pool. Nice restaurant adjacent to the pool. A wonderful beach with comfortable sun beds, sun loungers and lounging pillows and a nice close bar. There is no lifeguard. The beach is not sandy and it is advisable to enter the sea with suitable shoes.
There is a small writer a 2-minute walk from the hotel.
The weak point of the hotel is the food level.
The food is not varied enough and at a moderate level.
The hotel is more suitable for couples and less for families with children.
The hotel is located on a hillside and therefore the traffic is either on the stairs or on the slopes. Not suitable for people with movement disabilities.
The hotel is 45 minutes from the airport and a 15-minute drive from the city of Kos, which has nice entertainment areas (no surrounding areas). There is a convenient and frequent bus from the hotel to the city (2 euros per person) or taxis (14 euros).
In summary: a hotel recommended that I would return happily, despite the food and therefore gave him a 5 star rating.

I consider myself fortunate to have stayed in a welcoming, organized and happily inserted in a wonderful natural setting like the Michelangelo Hotel & Resort in Kos.

14 days (10.2019) and one of the best holidays !!!

Lovely hotel.Great location. Amazing views from the infinity pool. Comfortable rooms. Terrible service from the waiting team in the main restaurant and waitresses at the bar.

We stayed here a week ago. From what I can work out they'd only reopened a week before and had made some adjustments to reduce the risk of Covid.

On occasion had to queue to get your food in the buffet restaurant but the friendly, efficient serving staff would now serve you with whatever you ask.

Unfortunately getting a drink in the restaurant could often prove impossible. Despite asking members of staff and also complaining to the restaurant manager the staff would tell you someone else would be with you, ignore you, or take your order never to bring it to your table. They have also perfected the art of ignoring diners, not making eye contact and despite serving the neighbouring table avoiding even acknowledging you!
It didn't matter which areas you would sit in the restaurant they were all terrible which was a shame since the food was fresh and superb, and the kitchen/serving staff were amazing.

The main bar had similar issues. During the evening the two ladies who would wait on tables would quite rudely tell you to sit down but then not come to your table to collect your drinks order.
Come on Michaelangelo, why are your waiting staff so terrible?

Tip. If you want a sunbed round the beautiful infinity pools make sure you're up before 8am. There are towels as far as the eye can see on unoccupied beds soon after.

Look it's a beautiful hotel. Amazing views of the Turkish coast across the turquoise Aegen Sea.
The hotel is full of beautiful people taking endless selfies on the edge of the infinity pool.
The rooms are comfortable and clean.
The food is delicious, freshly cooked and varied across the week. The wife is a fairly unadventurous diner but often said she choose as there was too much choice.
Don't go half board as drinks in the bar, and lunch at the pool bar are UK prices and for around 35 Euros a person, a day you can upgrade to all inclusive. You can upgrade at the hotel reception as we did but upgrade in the morning as they charge for the full day!

While your there make sure you take a trip to Kos old town. It's beautiful. Have a drink by the harbour and soak up the atmosphere.
The bus goes from outside the hotel around every 20 minutes and only costs a couple of Euros.

If the hotel could sort out the waiting staff and the lack of sunbeds I'd have given them their five stars!

Beautiful location with incredibly beautiful view, very friendly and attentive staff, food was reasonable (most dishes had little taste to it)

We came in the context of an island tour past this hotel and stopped there. I can judge it only from the outside, built in a slope very nicely laid out and very well maintained.

We booked through British Airways with a view it will be quality assured hotel. Room with a balcony is nice and sadly that's the end...
Half r full board is a joke, restaurant staff and managers are rude and want to make money where ever possible and impose ridiculous charges.
Future Booker be aware you are only allowed to book once in each restaurant, despite full or half board.
If you want to revisit the same restaurant then you will have to pay for a la cart menu!!!
This is deceitful and not good.

So we are on site right now and are actually satisfied on the whole. The complex is very nice and the view and the pool fantastic. However, the system is slowly getting old and there are places that have to be improved without being operated.
However, one thing strikes us in particular! As an all inclusive guest you are a 2nd class guest. In the lunch restaurant the waiter simply threw cutlery in a bundle on the table without distributing it. At the pool all inclusive guests, who want to order something, are told that they should get something at the counter while the others are served ... a NO GO Sorry, but that doesn't work. The facility may have 5 stars, but unfortunately we noticed the staff negatively on the first day.

Oh this view! Infinite and blue... doesn t feel like sinful Earth Sleeping like on clouds, food is authentic and super delicious, oh this a Greek coffee and baklavas! Impeccable! The only problem is all inclusive cocktails. Very cheap alcohol used. Disappointed in that... also internet connection was very annoying asking me to rate the hotel EACH time I tried to log in

3 DAYS IN KO THERE WERE EXCELLENT. VERY BEAUTIFUL HOTEL WITH BIG SWIMMING POOL AND FANTASTIC VIEW. THE HOTEL IS VERY CLEAN, AND THE PERSON IS VERY HOSPITAL. One night we stayed in the hotel and enjoyed the live music on the bary. VERY BEAUTIFUL THE OLD TOWN OF KO WITH VERY GOOD BUILDINGS.

Best pool in the area. Good food and service. Not to expensive. People are very kind.

Very nice facility. Unfortunately remote. 15min to Kos city. The rooms are clean and big. Unfortunately, the hairdryer is not considered a hairdryer. The shower is not a shower but looks improvised. The SPA is not included for half board bookings. 12.00 entrance. Not suitable for coffee lovers. Everywhere instant powder coffee and it costs between 3.- and 4 ..- . In my opinion, the island is too expensive for the offer

On September 2013 Me and my beautiful wife staid at this extraordinary hotel at Kos, Greece. ,with their Excellent food, beautiful pool with an incredible view on the middle east sea.
Had a wonderful and pleasant vacation , thanks to the Michelangelo resort & spa Hotel.

Will be back in the future.

4 Days in Heaven, best describes the hotel experience. Pampering rooms, almost all with pool and sea views. Wonderful staff and service above and beyond.
The hotel itself, with breathtaking views.
The infinity pool is perfect.
It is recommended to indulge in massage at the spa, it was really pampering.
And there's even a little corner for cats, which just added points to the place :)
The dining room is a bit lacking, certainly for those who do not eat seafood. But you can always go down to a restaurant or even eat by the pool at perfectly reasonable prices.
(According to what I saw on the menus, this is an all-inclusive hotel, so you can probably buy a package that also includes meals in the restaurant).

Totally dirty rooms. Always eat the same. Drink prices way too high. Complaints are not responded to. Pools way too cold. Beach very good, but everything was occupied from 10 a.m.
When eating you have to queue up often.

The landscape cannot be watched so beautifully in this work :)))

This resort in Kos, Greece is excellent in every way. Our sea front suite was gorgeous, the swimming pools stunning, especially the infinity pool and the 3 restaurants were friendly and served a delicious variety of food. Lots of olive trees everywhere and a helpful reception team. We will definitely return again.

Lovely hotel and grounds. That's us 5 star. But food is 3 star and queuing for food can be a pain. Would have thought bathroom in room would have been a bit more modern just bath with shower hose. Staff are lovely but very overworked at meal times and in the bar at night. Reception staff also very helpful.

Great hotel, great facility, great food. Since everyone complies with their contribution to hygiene regulations, we have to accept a few compromises here. Such as long queues to eat etc.
Nevertheless, there was definitely not enough staff on site. Kudos to the manager who made our stay even better. We had a really noisy room right above the hotel bar. After we asked for a quieter room, we got an upgrade ++ in the first series directly to the open sea.

Beautiful pool the view dreamlike, super clean area, food 1a the chef has exceeded every evening to another, staff very hard. We would come back anytime, you can absolutely recommend.

Good hotel, rooms clean, kitchen but rather average, great pool

Nice hotel if you're lucky with a view from the room. There is no decent supermarket nearby, but the terma is only 3 km away ..

Delicious SPA hotel for adults. Was there 1 week and cost us. There wasn't much fight for sunbeds either.

Not worth its stars except for its excellent and quite varied food. Moisture problem in almost every room. General condition of the hotel good but not excellent as advertised by the travel agency. Very good stay despite some negative points! Average value for money ... rare evening entertainment only (mediocre), basic hotel activities (simple pool, beach access, bars, spa center). We have plenty of time to do the activities offered by the tour operator and to visit the island on 10 days. Conclusions: good but not as good as advertised pr a bit too high. Apart from tourist villages, it is very "slum" (as almost part of Greece). Glad to have done but not 2x!

Beautiful hotel with top quality service! Staff is very friendly and professional. Hotel has own beach, not very big one, but also offers several swimming pools, children area, spa, and many other content that will keep you busy and help you relax and forget about all your troubles in life.

Great hotel. Advantages: There is an excellent infinity pool, sea view, various evening performances, excellent for a typical backpacking back. Cons: The location is far from everything on the island (airport about 45 minutes, Kos city about 15 minutes) and you need a car if you want to get out of the story of belly back. There is nothing within walking distance of the hotel, except for the grocery near the hotel (totally exorbitant prices). A little disappointed with the food in the hotel, I expected more cheeses and vegetables, so there are few salads and cheeses, and especially meat for those who like (especially pig)

The hotel area looks very nice. The pool is special. Unfortunately, one does not feel welcome by the unfriendly staff. You feel like an uninvited guest. Even with tips was not thanked, but even the eyes twisted. The food was not worthy of a 5 star hotel. The cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired. The cleaners just burst into the room and only cleaned superficially. On arrival our faucet was already broken and the bathtub by this damage yellowed. The bathroom door was not finished. The hotel offers a nice location, but in terms of value for money and the feel-good atmosphere is not worth a visit.

Cozy beds, food was not very tasty, staff are very accommodating. Generally a very large hotel, but not very suitable for families with children, the very nice pool (infinity pool) should not be used by the children and until you get to the pool and the bar you have to overcome many stairs. Also, the indoor pool is only from 16 to use.

Beautiful hotel and spa, with great pools, views and delicious and varied cuisine. The people in the hotel have a lot of rest, but it is equipped so that no one sees or hears anyone. There is a feeling of spaciousness, peace and comfort. The breakfasts were great. Champagne with pineapples, two types of fruit neck, fresh juices, several types of fried eggs and omelets. The variety of salads is amazing. Cheese, pastries, fresh crepes, which are fried with you. Dinners correspond to the level of the most expensive restaurant. Every day, seafood is served in different combinations. There are several restaurants on site, where you can have a tasty and inexpensive snack between breakfast and dinner. Rooms at the hotel are large, comfortable, with smart air conditioning, which turns itself off if you open the balcony. Cleaning done high quality, constantly replenished shampoo and body lotion, stocks of tea and sugar. Wi-Fi is valid throughout the hotel, and even on the beach, which is several levels below the hotel s location. But such a picturesque staircase leads to it, with a stunning view of the sea, and on both sides of which fragrant flowers, rosemary and sage, that walking on it is sheer pleasure. In short, the hotel would recommend and thank the staff for a great stay.

Nice hotel on Kos. Not far from Kos city but far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. Located on the edge of the mountains, which means a hotel building in terraces and thus gives a lot of views of the sea. Since one tooth or the other corner the tooth of the time does not see the full star number.

A breathtaking view from the room. The most very chic place to appreciate. Wonderful moments swimming into the infinity pool with that stunning view on Aegean Sea. Should come !
