I owe this place and it's staff my life, I was down on my luck years ago and I was treated with such respect and love that it truly gave me the strength to persevere and get my life back together. Thank all of you for everything you do and please continue to do God's work!

The customer service on the phone was fantastic. They quickly set me up with a pick up date and the crew arrived on time. However, I had a couch to donate, with a small stain (see picture) and was told they couldn't take it (though the driver said it was a good couch). My understanding was this organization is providing to those in need, giving them items to set up a home. A small stain shouldn't prevent this from happening. Additionally, I wasn't told about those requirements when I called. So, now the couch is going on the curb. Disappointing.

I would like to say what they say on there website is very fake. I have never seen a shelter that will just throw away somebody's personal stuff and then lie about it all. So if you ever get to where that you are homeless and don't have a place to sleep don't go here is because they will force you into there program and keep you from your spouse. They also give you only one meal a day and make you stay on the street.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, go with another company willing to take your DONATION. They make it so difficult , items have to be near perfect conditions, pick up time at their convenience any time between 8;30 am and 4;30 pm . They take the will of giving away from you, Rather pay to someone to throw it away than spend 8 hours for a pick up that may not even happen, . If I could give "0" stars I would

Jimmy Cefalo on 610 WIOD always talked about this group so I give them money a couple times a year. They have called several times, and when I mention I already gave online they are very polite and say we aren't calling for more money, we are just calling to say thank you. They wish you a blessed day and hang up. That's real class in a charity in my book. I'll take Cefalo's word that the money goes to people who need it, I have never heard any different, and I do not donate to many charities at all since I know most are wasting the money.

So sad Wynwood took over the women's and children facility this place is the oldest place Miami has as far as outreach . Breaks my heart to see graffiti cover the old administrative office, welcome to the new Miami.

I do not usually write reviews however after reading some for this organization had to respond. I have donated to them for several years, attended a graduation at Marlins Stadium and volunteered installation of a commercial ice machine in their kitchen along with a coworker. If you could see the families of these graduates so proud of the accomplishments by members of their family getting their life back and reuniting there are no words to describe it. When my mom passed I donated nearly everything in her home and the pickup was seamless. This is a wonderful organization, staff and volunteers who unconditionally help those no one else will. When this COVID issue is over they will resume volunteer openings, you may see for yourself.
May God continue to Bless them all.

They didn't show for an appointment to pick up a furniture donation. We tried to donate several nice pieces of furniture and lots of my late father's clothes shortly after his passing. We scheduled a day for the pick up a week in advance but, per policy, weren't given our 2 hour window until 9am the day of. I waited at the house from 2 to 4 and no one showed. No one answered or returned my call at 4:15. When my sister got ahold of someone the next day they had no explanation.

While the food is of fantastic quality and comes in generous portions, complimented perfectly with a can of name brand coca cola, authoritarian dictators still run the place and with publicly scold you god forbid you sit in the wrong chair, or on the floor instead of a chair, and will force you to watch a movie while you wait for food whether you want to look or not. With authoritarianism comes law and order, thus careful documentation will ensure your bag will not be stolen by homeless tweakers, though the staff may go through it and smoke your meth.
