Another fun place with great food stuck in a marina, so the view is pretty good:)
In such a fine place, I am reduced to getting their damn burger too often... but now I have branched out and explored a lot of the menu. Everything is wonderful - the steak tartare is something I get every night we eat there. That is unavoidable.
It's also amazing to walk out of one of the best restaurants in the bay area - (food, service, atmosphere, and location) - and have a check that seems like you were at any moderately priced place. What's more, it's like stepping into the Cote D'azur. We often stand up paddle board at the little beach (also the best in Marin) after brunch. It's a wonderful way to start a weekend day.
This place is divine, and easily in my top 3 or Marin. Not sure what my other's are... The Buckeye? New Morning?
This is truly one of the top places in the bay. If my opinion doesn't count, at least the Bohemian thinks it's Best Outdoor Dining in the North bay... which is saying a lot.
This is the type of concept place where an innovative and thoughtful F&B gent reinvented an area, and became a bastion of hope and help to locals with guests, hotels with recommendations, and simple, accessible, classy fair without the pretension in a groovy, fun, bistro environment. think of it as a French Sam's with food that is actually good and edible.
The most delicious halibut I ve ever had. But little noisy. I definitely go back there.
Delicious food, with distinctive recipies. Good service.
The perfect spot! Delicious food, amazing service, indoor/outdoor dining. Wide range of food on the menu, amazing wine list in a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend!
French Bistro food in a beautiful setting. Everything on the menu is great, but I particularly like the burger and the Quiche Lorraine. If the weather is nice, sit at an outdoor table with a great view of the marina and Richardson Bay.
Crispy panisse is greasy and soggy. The baked sole is extremely fishy. Worst part is that the water we got has a bunch of sediment in it. Management said sorry about the sediment and they THINK it s just bread crumbs. Unacceptable.
perfect place for brunch good food and enjoyable atmosphere
This is my second time here. The first time was for lunch i found the food okay.
The second time I went there for dinner, and the best thing we had was the bread! It was delicious but its not made in house. I had a steak for 34USD the fries were good the steak itself was the worst steak I ever had. We also got a duck confit with peaches..the peaches were not ripe and made me sick, the duck was ok. For this type of prices you would expect good food, its seems that there is a lack of motivation in this restaurant it seems like nobody cares...
Used to be s great place. Setting still gorgeous bit food tasted like airplane food. Omelette and home fries seemed like cooked a day before and reheated. Not going back.
On my friend's last day in town we decided to uber to Sausalito from my apartment in San Rafael and restaurant/bar hop. We decided to try Le Garage based on their brunch availability and location! We honestly did not even think about making a reservation or calling ahead to check wait times. We walked up to the stand and awkwardly stood there as the hostess with Dutch braids and what looked to be a supervisor (maybe?) just looked at each other....finally I smiled really big and said hi super loudly and she greeted us...I asked how long the wait was and she seated us right away (while yawning...) so that was a great surprise! the space is beautiful! Very cool vibe. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. My only complaints are the seating is very close to other tables. The woman next to me and I bumped elbows a couple of times. Also, we were never asked or offered another drink. I would have had another but instead we decided to continue onto Barrelhouse for a drink. The restaurant was packed and everyone moved at a very fast pace. I loved the food we ordered; french toast, side of fries to share and mimosas.
Based on its location, convenience, atmosphere and food options, I would definitely come back for brunch or another meal :)
Nice spot with the outdoor seating and large garage doors that's open, hence the name. Food is very good and service has always been great.
Nice location with friendly staff. $3 valet fee for parking however there does seem that there is public parking somewhere nearby. The menu has many great options and the servers were knowledgeable about each plate. We sat out side and the views were very nice while enjoying brunch.
Good food and service, great atmosphere, but for the price not as good as similar restaurants
The food is very good and the location is fantastic
Our friend sought out this restaurant because of an old memory of the French toast. Boy was he right and now I have the same memories. The burger was fantastic as well, as my wife let me finish what she couldn't eat
It was fine, but not very vegetarian friendly (so, I guess it's French in that way). The sundried tomato pasta at $27 was portioned like an appetizer and had it's own huge plate just to make you feel like you had a lot of something in front of you. It was tasty, but I was looking forward to the desert course -- that never came -- in order to feel full. I won't voluntarily go back there
Service was slow took over 10 min to get a server to come to the table prices are high. The burger is so grease its nasty and no flavor to it. Had a couple get seated after use and somehow got drink before us
Ok food,ok service, overpriced with limited dining options...
Excellent service, fantastic food and good recommendations by the wait staff
Gorgeous sunset dinner outside. We had the Pork and lobster special, duck confit. Staff so friendly, food amazing. Meant to get a picture but was enjoying it I forgot!
Very nice within very nice outdoor area the food was great. Drastically inside the boat Marina.
The food wasnt bad but the employees were very confused. They werent sure if they are French men trying to speak with a french accent or mechanics. Not impressed ¬ worth the $$
Undercooked french toast and a chorizo omlete with no meat.
Keeping your dog on the other side of a wall is not "dog friendly" its more "dogs tolerated"
Awesome French toast and great ommlette.. Just loved the baked potatoes served with the ommlette.. Must try..
Beautiful setting. Mostly lovely staff. Some dishes were amazing, others not so much. Still worth a visit if you're in Sausalito.
Great burgers on a brioche bun, whilst looking over Sausalito.
Love it but don t tell anyone. Quiche is a gem. Staff, owner always pleasant, quick and respectful.
Very disappointing brunch!
The servers were unfriendly and unhelpful. Half of us were sitting in hot summer sun, and they "can't" move the patio umbrellas a bit to cover the table properly. We also asked for water refills and never got it.
Even worse, the omelette was tasteless and the price is high.
2 stars for nice views, but I will not be coming back.
Great dinner experience. The food was delicious. I especially loved the New York steak with pepper sauce and fries. The foie gras appetizer was delicious. The staff is almost exclusively French. Loved it!
Disappointed, never had a bad meal before, different chief maybe?
Decent food, terrible hostess, terrible waiter, bad parking.
Great food. Great atmosphere. Only the waiter could have been a little nicer. Despite all price performance top!
Beautiful place overlooking the yachts. Dreamlike.
We ate brunch walking after crossing the Golden Gate Bridge.
Excellent choice in Sausalito.
Accommodating. And tasty. Worth a stop if you're in the area.
Nice view with a yacht set-up, thank you for always kind service !! Lunch with family and friends It's a cozy and comfortable local French restaurant. Tuna salad, seafood scampi, steak.
A very upmarket eatery sitting on the shores of the bay. A great place to sit and watch the boats go by. The food is pricey but worth it.
Nice place right by the water. Pet friendly patio. They stop serving food at certain times so check the schedule
This is a great little french bistro that is right on the water. You will need reservations if going there on the weekend. There was definitely a mix of locals and tourists patrons. Their food was amazing and they had vegetarian options as well.
Had brunch after a bike ride from SF. The atmosphere was great and the service was very good. I enjoyed the croque madam and shared a bit of the French toast. Both were delicious
The food is very good! Try the duck omelet, poached eggs and the croque madame. They are delicious and made with very high quality ingredients.
The service isn't good either. Our waitress was very disorganized and hurried; and the place wasn't even full.
I was trying to ask her if she had some milk alternatives for a latte, she didn't let me finish and ran to the kitchen to place the order.
Wonderful taste of France. Not easy to find but worth it. Park in the second lot. Great food.
Place is amazing but the food is okay. I had hight expectations for the service and it wasn't very good
My favorite place to eat in Sausalito!
I love everything about the place!
Stoped in for breakfast, the food was fantastic and the service was great
