TLDR version: great sales experience but their installers chose a terrible electrician. Get your own electrician.

In September 2019 I needed to upgrade a dying kitchen range. Mustafa at Meyer helped me understand my options based on my requirements. He also freely pointed out the negative aspects of each option. No pressure, just the information I needed. I ended up buying from Meyer and the appliance is great.

As part of the installation the Meyer crew needed to add a new outlet to an existing electrical circuit. They arranged for a contractor to do this the same day as the installation. No problem.

Everything was fine for 6 months at which point the oven stopped working. I called the manufacturer for warranty service and after a month waiting for them to be available they traced the problem to the electrical outlet. An electrician came out, tightened a loose screw, didn't charge me, everything was fine again.

6 months later the oven failed again. I knew to check the voltages on the terminal block in the oven, they were fine so again I called for warranty service and again had to wait a month. This time they agreed that the oven was getting power properly, but nudging the power outlet could make it stop working.

I decided to replace the outlet myself. I got the exact same make and model and saw in the instructions that the wires need to be placed in a channel, then a clip goes over them and a screw tightens onto the wire to lock everything together. This had not been done originally by Meyer: their installer had put the wire next to the screw so that it was only loosely held in place. This resulted in an unreliable connection, wasted time from an already overscheduled technician, and could easily have resulted in a fire, which thankfully it didn't. Also I had to go without an oven for 2 months.

By all means buy an appliance from Meyer, but do not trust their installers to contract out any electrical work.

Imagine you walk in an appliance store and want to spend around $2,500 for an appliance and you know exactly what you want, but the sales rep. is not interested selling you anything. This happened to us at Meyer Appliance & Kitchens. After a phone conversation in the morning and making sure that they have the oven we were looking for in the stock, we entered the store around 5:30 pm on the same day. Right after we got into the store, an older gentleman who was sitting in front of his computer, asked us what we want (with a very rude and unfriendly tone). We said that we have already talked to another sales. rep and we want only to place the order. His first comment was, "You Barely made it to here". I ignored his comment and gave him the model of the Oven we wanted to buy. While he was looking for the item, he asked me for my name and address and threw a piece of paper with a pen towards me, which I find very insulting. I again ignored his action and his next question was if I have a quote from his colleague and I gave him the price. The next question was, do you need an installation which I responded "No" and said we need only the delivery. I believe this made him displeased and said "you have to pay the shipping cost". I responded that I believe the shipping cost would be included and he said, where do I live and as I said nearby, he said, comeback tomorrow and talk to whom ever you talked and all of this with a very rude tone! That was for me the last straw and that made us to leave the store and buying from another store, which we did. This is stunning that the guy does not value their customers are willing to lose the profitable business.

Went to the store because I need to replace an off-size appliance and will need more than the usual installation. They were helpful in the store and offered an in home estimate. But I didn't get a call back to schedule, even after following up.

Stay away from this reparr store.

Stay away from this reparr store.

They charge very high price (90 nonrefundable or deductible just for getting them look at the problem) and make customers pay for their poor judgment and skills. Warranty is only 1 month.

We picked up a washing machine, refrigerator, and dryer..... Awesome service! Then I broke something on the oven no called to have a tech come out and fix the problem. The door broke because I let it slam shut too much. 90 some odd bucks for the service call but that's ok. He ordered the parts needed and when he came back to put it together again I asked if he would explain what he was doing for my own knowledge. He did. And he didn't charge for the extra time he spent on explaining things to me.

Yeah, the window time of a few hours is normal for ALL repair places because GE (the company) told me that techs don't know exactly his long the job before takes. They were honest. I like honesty. Don't you?

He also told me that my refrigerator door needs a new stop to keep the door from opening too far. He then showed me the part that needed to be replaced and told me how to do it. That it was a do-it-yourself type thing. Easy like.

Customer service here on the phones is great. I have to say I'm the guy who usually gives anyone on the other end an earful till I get hung up on. Yup. I'm an a$$. I expect perfect service when I pay for it.

This company went above and beyond to fix what I broke. They let me know how to not do so again. They taught me how to fix a simple problem that could have become a very large hit to my wallet.

Thank you Meyer Appliance!!!

Remember that being polite to people goes a long way. If you act like a spoiled child you might just get treated so. Don't blame them. Your attitude and the way you treat others is exactly how you will be treated. For those who complain.... It is just a reflection of yourself.....

Have a great day and I hope this helped you make the right decision in choosing this company.

Mustafa was so easy to deal with. During Covid-19, appliances are extremely back logged. I went somewhere else first to save some money and it was a total waste of time. Mustafa was able to find what I needed and get it delivered quickly. We wanted a specific style of refrigerator and dishwasher that are not easy to find. During our home remodel Meyer Appliance has been the best vendor we have dealt with. I spent a few more dollars with Meyer, but at the end of the day, I saved hours of hassle and will never buy appliances anywhere else.

Kind of rude. We're looking at doing a kitchen remodel but couldn't get anyone's attention. When we finally did, they were reluctant to help so we didn't even bother getting the information we were looking for.

Possibly because we were in older clothing from doing yard work. Next time should I wear my pearls?

They have a nice setup though, and small samples of everything you might be looking for - all appliances, counter tops, lighting, etc.

I came to Meyer appliance to purchase some parts for a dishwasher and another time for my refrigerator. I was happy to find that Meyer appliance had my parts in stock and I could buy them quickly and get back to the work of installing them. I'm a do-it-yourselfer with high expectations of the companies I do business with. I really liked the parts manager who I thought was friendly and competent.

I would like to start by mentioning that, I learne...

I would like to start by mentioning that, I learned about Meyer Appliance, through Miele USA's official website. As I have full trust to Miele brand, I did not hesitate to purchase my appliances from this business assuming that Miele would not grant Authorized Dealership to just any business.

I purchased a set of Miele kitchen appliances from them. The whole scheduling was a mess, but eventually after weeks, we were able to schedule the installation.

They told me that the Speed Oven requires a 110/220V NEMA 14-30 outlet, and they should first send their electrician for that first before the installation. I did not want to use a different electrician, as I assumed that Meyer's electrician would be highly familiar with the Miele appliances and their electricity requirements.

First I had to go and buy the NEMA 14-30 outlets from Home Depot, as they could not figure out how to buy them from Miele.

On June 26, Meyer sent their electrician to install 110/220V NEMA 14-30 outlets for the ovens. Although it was clearly indicated on the Speed Oven that it requires 110/220V to operate, the Meyer's electrician convinced me that just a single 220V hot wire would do the job. (In summary, he simply did not want to deal with running a new cable, as NEMA 14-30 requires 4 wires instead of the usual 3 wires.)

On June 27, Meyer staff showed up to do the actual installation for the Speed Oven. As expected the Speed Oven did not turn on due to the wrongly wired electric outlet.

I immediately contacted Meyer about the problem while the installation was still in progress. After 3 hours, they simply told me that they could not locate the electrician, and they will schedule him to come again some other time.

Second time, I ended up at home watching an other non-functioning Miele appliance. I also have no idea if the wrongly wired electrical outlet even damaged the appliance.

Most likely their electrician will show up again sometime next week to fix the wiring. If the appliance is already damaged by the wrong electrical wiring, then, I am sure that I will be waiting additional weeks for a Miele technician to come and try to repare that.

I don't really know how such experience could be fixed. I hope they can at least finalize the work.

Got a much better deal on two appliances - dishwasher and vent Hood - from them as opposed to online or Best buy. I chanced upon this place driving back home, having just had a bad experience at Best buy, which is just a block away. Best buy - I left it because of a rude salesman, whose only goal seemed to be to quickly sign me up for their credit card. Compared to that, the salesman at Meyers was pretty nice, giving honest inputs, didn't unnecessarily upsell things, and wasn't rushing things. Money wise too, Meyers beat Best buy black Friday price by about 15%.

I give this one star only for the very good agent ...

I give this one star only for the very good agent (Robert Peschilli) who helped us in a great deal to choose and purchase our appliances but unfortunately Rob left Meyer Appliances and our file was assigned to Margaret Donohue who can't care less for the customer! The difference came to us as day and night! Margaret is unresponsive and rude. Her customer care is below zero and I don't understand why she's still employed! The service was so bad that we had to escalate the issue to the store manager asking to take her off our case. The only thing that she needed to do for us (because Rob had already done everything) is to coordinate the installation. We had to call Miele ourselves and the store manager finally took care of the rest of the appliance installation coordination. I think it was just our bad luck to end up with Margaret and don't want her bad attitude and incompetencies being generalized to other hard working agents at Meyer Appliances who take care of their clients. Just remember, if you purchase your appliances, stay away from "Margaret Donahue".

We worked with them to buy a Viking steam oven/ microwave. We worked with Lawrence who didn't even return phone calls/ was rude when we were in the store. We researched it ourselves and placed the order through them but the product is terribly designed and does not work. They would not take it back or help us any more. They passed us on to Viking rep. I must say that the owner however was nice and he tried to help with the install and he even admitted that this was a terrible product. he said the product was unlike other Viking products. We paid a lot of $$$$ for a crappy product and they sold it to us. They should be experts in their products and not sell products they don't stand by. I would not recommend buying anything important through them.

We are very happy with our new GE refrigerator and Bosch dishwasher. Our sales rep Kao was very helpful and professional. Their delivery guys with ADI Trucking were very professional, courteous and friendly. They actually came early, and got the delivery done promptly. I highly recommend Kao and Meyer Appliance and of course the boys at ADI Trucking who were fantastic to work with.

We figured out that our refrigerator stopped working Monday evening and had a new one installed by mid-afternoon on Wednesday thanks to the helpful team at Meyer. Initially they didn't think we could get the refrigerator delivered, but they found a unit that could be delivered this week. With a small plea, they arranged for their management staff to install it for us Wednesday since we were without a refrigerator. We are very grateful for all this team did to help us!

Won't recommend this store to shop for appliances, as the price is the same as elsewhere, but the customer service is non existence. We bought a set of Miele washer and dryer, and the installation crew did not level the washer correctly. We tried to contact the store several times to help us leveling the machine, but we could never get a hold of anyone.

We were delighted by the high-quality service at Mayer Appliances & Kitchens. Masee, the salesperson, was awesome. He was exceedingly helpful and knowledgeable. While waiting for Masee to get product information and prices, Edo, the owner/manager, came with help us with other questions. We dropped into Meyer to look at a couple of appliances. We came back two days later to buy four appliances at competitive prices with great services. It is a pleasure to shop at Meyer even during this difficult time.

After a lot of research and recommendation from friends I decided to place an order with Meyer Appliances for all of my kitchen Appliance upgrade.

Mustafa was very helpful in deciding me to choose the right amount of technology depending on my needs. He did not try to up-sell me anything like buying an expensive option or getting an unnecessary extended warranty where I do not need one. He was super helpful in sending me all the relevant documents for my installation setup.

I placed all appliances order sometime in September and due to COVID times, some appliances came early but Subzero and Thermador took a long time for delivery. He followed up with the manufacturer and was able to keep me posted on delivery times. We as a customer need to understand that during this tough times, business are trying to do their best but not everything is within their control. It is best if you are planning a full kitchen upgrade to plan for 3-6 month in advance.

I also had a special request that I needed my refrigerator panel to match with my IKEA Cabinet Doors. Edo worked with me from collecting the sample from me and quoting me reasonable price. Those panels look great and I am super happy with all of the experiences that I had at Meyer.

My kitchen is all ready now and I am having my final install with SubZero this coming Wednesday.

I am glad that I went with Meyers and am thankful to Mustafa and Edo for providing me with great service.

I would recommend getting an appointment if you want a salesperson to talk to you. Or wear fancier clothes than I did. I walked around for half an hour, and not a single employee said a word to me, even if they were not helping anyone at that moment. I will look elsewhere.

I had a terrible experience with Meyer Appliance. I had a GE side by side refrigerator which 6 years ago (Dec 2009) we purchased (brand new ) from Meyer Appliance and they delivered to our home( the refrigerator made by GE in 1995). On 03/29/2016 my refrigerator was stop cooling, but the fan was still working. We call Meyer Appliance on 03/29/16 after 1PM. They sent one guy came next day morning. He came didn't do anything said you need changed new refrigerator. I was surprised, and asked him if GE refrigerator only last 6 years? Than he started to checked my refrigerator. I had to help him to move my refrigerator. He changed one part, then told me that my refrigerator was working, but I need wait for 3 hours for cooling down. He charged me 296.62 and left. After he left, 5 min later I open the freezer door, the air came out warmer than my hands. I call the Meyer company told them he didn't fix my refrigerator yet. He call back to telling me wait for 6 hours and check again and said he will call back next day morning which he never did. I had to call Your Appliance Repair company guy to came to check my refrigerator. By then I found out in 2009 Meyer sold 16 years old refrigerator to us, now my 6 years old refrigerator exactly is more then 21 years old. They can do this to me, they can do this to some other people.

SIMON is the worst salesman. He does not know what hes doing. He had no integrity and would never call back. Margaret is no better when we had trouble getting a hold of Simon. AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COST. Just go to costco or lowes. Hell even go to best buy. AVOID.

Update! The delivery people were awesome though!

New update. Our fridge stopped working and they arent being very helpful ! Once again without a fridge during the pandemic
