I have 2 storage with Metro Storage. Unfortunately one of my storage was broken into, all awhile the employees had told me that everything is in intact and no has who's not authorized would be able to get into my unit. So to make a long story short. I've made several payments for a storage that hand nothing but trash almost. My things were ransacked and they left little to none. This has to be one of the most worst place ever. Their customers sucks. I've had to called the police to get involved
Nightmare of a Storage Company. Metro took over from Storage King, which was clean and efficient. Metro takes NO responsibility and doesn't keep the hours they post online for the branches. Personal is marginal. Go elsewhere!!
I have rented from this company for several years. Some times I fell behind but always caught up with the payments, always paid the $100 for them cutting lock, always paid before auction. In the past they would wait some months and then send notice of auction . The last time I was one month late and they locked me out and place everything up for auction the next month on about the 5th of the month. When I went in to pay it and take the items out they forced me to pay till the 19th even though the notice showed the 5th. When went in to pay it I advised the manager that I would not renew the lease and that as far as I was concerned the company had no good customer service plan in effect just a policy to force payments out of customers. I removed all items from the storage except one broken table and one broken video game. I called the office next day to tell them that I left the unit open and that I had two broken pieces for the garbage. when I went to remove them, the code was changed so I called again. I was told I had to pay one months payment to remove the garbage. At this time I again advised the office that I would not pay and they are blocking me from removing garbage. I also spoke to the property manager and he said he will talk to Gordy and get back to me. He never got back to me and after I received another bill I spoke to him again and he suggested I speak to Gordy. Well Gordy and I don t have a good relationship and he has charged me before for items I should not have been and we both don t like each other and he just doesn't t care for customers. I have been dealing with the public for many years and this office run by this district manager lack proper customer service protocol . I don t think Metro Self storage should treat customers like this, and to be honest , I would have not left this facility except for the lousy treatment to the customer.
Been using a facility for a couple years now in Newtown Square, Pa. No complaints on the facility. But I do have issue with how they communicate. I've actually e-mailed with them about this to provide constructive feedback and was basically told to deal with it. My observation was around payment reminders. They send out e-mail payment reminders after the due date. I simply asked, why can't you send out reminders before the due date? If you want to hit people up after the due date, that's cool, but lets call that a late notice.
As a customer, both would be helpful to me. I was told that customers said they would not like that. Hmmm. I know it would help me, because sometime life happens and I'm late. It truly pisses me off when I get an e-mail that essentially says, here is reminder to pay your rent... it was due to days ago. Thanks for reminding me you will charge me $20 for the privileged of paying 2 days late. Come on Metro Self Storage, you can do better.
