Metro Screen Review

I was able to order exactly what I wanted with choices of size and materials. It took a few weeks to get the products but I had no problem with that.

The custom-size, unassembled sliding screen door went together without major problems, and is working very well. The one complaint I have is that when fitting the 4 pieces of the door frame together, the corners were off a little bit as far as fit (maybe 1/16 to 1/8 inch on 3 or 4 corners).

However, I thought this was minor enough to let it go, as it is hardly noticeable at all without looking quite close, and does not affect the functioning of the new door.

My experience with metro screen was easy and excellent . The web page was clear and simple to see what my choices were. I measured the screen door we wanted to replace, bought the size that was appropriate and chose grey so that it wouldn t be too dark looking. I must say, our cat is staying away from the screen much more because she can t see through it at night and doesn t chase the bugs on the other side that would be drawn to,the light. Before, my husband would immediately shut the screen door as soon as she jumped or hung from the screen. Now, unafraid she ll tear the screen apart, we keep the door open and we both clap loudly and say no when she goes near the screen and it is modifying her behavior much better than before. I don t think she ever made the connection that she wasn t supposed to go near the screen. Also, the screen is heavier and a little darker than the regular screen but the fact that we can sit at night and have the screen door open and catch the nice breeze is well worth it to us. I wished We d gotten the screen a long time ago.

Everything was done professionally, product was of great quality, price was reasonable. Product was delivered on the date promised. They will always get my business and I do intend to recommend them to other in the market for their product.

Ordered one of the genius screens for my Lanai , installed easy but very disappointed in the performance of this product.My screen is 10 ft wide so any time there is a small breeze the screen pulls out of the tracks on the sides and becomes useless for keeping bugs out.
Maybe on a more narrow screen it might work but on this size it just doesn't .They did try and help me resolve the issue but unsuccessful .

The screen quality is excellent, but I'm only giving 4/5 stars because it was so difficult to get into the screen frame. I would have loved it if Metro Screenworks had a how to video on their website showing how to install the new animal screen into the screen frame. Also, I would have loved it if Metro Screenworks sold the tools you need to install the extra thick screen material. Anyway, I think the purchase was worth it even if it was difficult to install.

First time ever ordering a screen from an online source, and was very pleasantly surprised! Online instructions made measuring and ordering simple, I paid for expedited service and received my screen in a few days, and sure enough - it fit perfectly. The screen was high quality. I will use them again.

Ordered both regular screening to replace to cat damaged screens at a rental and pet screening to make our screens cat friendly, order arrived quickly and rescreening process is much easier than I thought. Glad I didn t pay someone to do it.

The piece was delivered on schedule (quickly) well and was East to install.

Window for storm door fit perfectly and was delivered earlier than expected.

So far your screen had been great. Nice and sturdy.

It was a very smooth process from measurement, to ordering, and to delivery in a timely manner. My husband had no problem whatsoever with installing the retractable screen door inside our French doors which open out.
We truly like the screens and are sorry that we waited so long to look for this type or retractable screen door which we honestly never knew were available.
One word of caution...as stated in the instructions let the screen panels open by themselves, DON'T try to help them along.

I ordered a basic screen door track. Order was processed and my card charged but it was not sent. I called and was told that it had not gone out via UPS. They assured me it would be picked up as soon as possible and sent. It arrived four days later...an empty box arrived with my receipt for the ordered product and a pamphlet for Metroscreen. No product was in the box. Pretty unbelievable! There is no customer service on weekends and no sales rep support. No one to talk to to help or rectify the situation. In summary, administrative problems, logistics problems, and customer service problems. It's your choice.

The screens we received fit the windows better than the original ones. Based on our measurements, we even had a little bit of space that made it easier to remove to clean without being too loose to fall. Great product and we'll order more in the future.

I love our screen. It fit perfectly and is virtually invisible - great customer service and product. Would def use again.

Very easy to find what I needed and got it when promised. Very pleased

Only thing I wasn't happy about was the packaging for shipping. 3 of my frames we're creased and 2 of the screens were ripped.

The parts came exactly as sized of high quality components. I ordered the aluminum frame and heavy duty pet screen. The pieces fit together quite snugly, and it took a bit more oomph than I suspected to get the corners nicely fitted. The rollers adjusted easily and work smoothly.

I love my Metro Screenworks screen door. It fit perfectly and works very well. I would have given a 5star review except for the quality of the door handle. I think the door handle and locking mechanism is very sub standard for a door of the cost and quality of the Premium door. Unfortunately, the locking mechanism is very cheap, and doesn't lock securely and reliably. I complained to Metro Screenworks and they replaced the handle. The new handle only works marginally better than the original and it is disappointing.

Item shipped to me with no issues and putting together was easier then expected. One thing I have noticed is the handle on the sliding screen door is rather difficult to use to open and close. Will need to replace as whole family is having great difficulty using.

Screens were well made and delivered in a timely fashion.

The screens are really well made and are of very good quality materials and craftsmanship. The delivery was a bit slow, but within the timeframe they stated at the beginning. The measurements were perfect. I definitely plan to buy additional ones later.

Excellent replacement screen, but you must pay attention to ALL of the necessary dimensions. When I had a minor problem with fit, I called them and they were very helpful and easy to deal with.

I've ordered window screens from Metro Screenworks twice. They are the only company I've found that make the wide width I need (44") with a decent height (18"). I'm very happy with them and will continue to order from them when I need replacement screens. Very happy with shipment times and customer service. Great company!

I had a screen made for my front door over a year ago by this Company, it's coming apart in one corner. This company wouldn't repair their own product. They said I had to buy a new screen. I won't ever buy from them again

I order tempered glass windows to replace several screened sections of my Mother's porch to keep rain and cold wind from blowing into the west side of the porch. The windows are great quality and easy to install and work great. I will use Metro Screenworks again when the need arises.

Screens arrived on time and in good condition when most other manufacturers could not deliver due to the demand from IRMA.

Very good web site. I called them to make sure I was understanding my order and they get right on the phone. The screens were mailed and they came bent. They offered to send new ones. I was able to bend them back into place and they gave me a discount instead. Next time I need a screen this is the place to go.

extreammmm negative review. The girl in front desk is a din don. Don't know nothing about measurements. Gave her the measurements and got the wrong size screens. Called to return the screens and the guy that she transferred me to said I need to go to a hardware store and pay to have them resize, can u believe that, and in top of everything they refuse to take it back and return my money. I think I lost my money with this purchase be aware of these people.

Ordered product, it was delivered FEDEX ground in good shape. Very happy with customer support pre-order question responses and product received.

New screen fits perfectly and came within the timeframe expected. Somewhat pricey, but it was a custom order so to be expected. I was very glad to find Metro Screenworks! I will order more replacements as I can afford to.

I placed my order for 17 screens on June 11th and still no update on when they will be shipped to Oregon. I called on July 10th and spoke with a representative and she provided no information as to when the order will be completed and shipped. Received a generic email from them this afternoon that manufactured product ships in 13 to 15 days. That's a joke!! They haven't even come close to this as my order is already 34 days past the online order date! No update on my online account from them as well regarding the order. Think twice before placing your order with this company!

Great track for my patio door screen. It installed easily. Screws were not included with the track and I had to drill my own holes to mount it. It was packaged well.

As a potential Canadian customer, I tried to order some product online. The online portal would not accept my order so I wrote to Metro on their Contact Us online form. I had a reasonably quick response, however after I further replied THREE times with the details of what I was looking for, I have still not received an answer from anyone for more than 2 weeks. This is unacceptable customer service - if the company is not comfortable doing business in Canada, they should make it clear.

I would give Metro 5 stars if it were not for their pretty high shipping costs.

It was easy to order, and when it came it was easy to put together. I live in a manufactured home and the original screen door for the sliding door was junk. It was an odd size of course and I couldn't find it in any traditional box store. This one did the trick and I now have a nice sliding screen door.

The two screens were exactly as ordered and very easy to assemble. My only criticism is the plastic handles. They could be a bit beefier and easier to grasp.

This screening is wonderful. Keeps the kittens in and the mosquitoes and spiders out. We bought enough of it so the contractor could screen the entire porch plus the roof (under the pergola awning). No bugs as my daughter is quite allergic to their bites. Now the whole family can enjoy our deck porch - even the cats!

I didn't think this would be so easy to get a custom screen online, especially doing my own measurements, but my screen fit perfectly and was so easy to put together. I am truly amazed as my husband and I are not super handy . I would definitely recommend this!

Excellent walk-in customer service. I needed a particular style of aluminum screen frame (a "standard lip frame") to repair the one in our apartment before move out and they had it! Spent days looking for that frame type in hardware stores without any luck. All I needed was a 55" frame section, they sell in in 12ft sections, but paying $10 for more than I need sure beats whatever price the apartment landlord would have charged for a new screen.

I had a great experience with Metro Screenworks. One of my sliding screen doors was missing a u-track when we bought the house and I was able to find the exact part on Metro Screenworks. The order process was easy and straight forward and the hardware was delivered quickly and arrived in good shape. Can't complain! I have the option of ordering my screen mesh at a discounted rate through the manufactures. The "disappearing" screen was easy to assemble and it works flawlessly. I only wish I'd ordered one with some sort of "safety stripe" across the middle when it is extended ... people keep running into the screen as if it weren't there. Will likely figure out a way to spray paint a discreet "warning" stripe!

Had a custom screen built per their guidelines for taking measurements, but it turned out too big. I was able to install the screen, but It took extra work to force it in. I have no room for adjustment. Otherwise the screen is built very well.

I am very pleased with my removable window screen. I had difficulty finding the height of the screen I needed for my window. The one I bought from you is a perfect fit. It was well packed and promptly sent to me.

Professional workmanship and timely delivery. Only reason not 5 stars is that it should be shipped with tabs for the thickness of the window frame because it is thicker than the screen frame.

This is based on their return policy alone. I bought a replacement screen door track. It is plastic and super light weight. It was a little over $50. To return, I had to pay 20% restocking fee and shipping! Shipping was going to be $35!!! For a light weight piece of plastic. Will never order from here again. Needless to say, I'm keeping something I didn't end up needing.
