I had a c spine fusion on 10/5 and this hospital was amazing. Treated my husband and I with the upmost respect. By far the best hospital I've ever stayed in from the security in the parking lot, the lovely lady at the entrance, checking admitting, to the nurses and technicians, pt and respiratory. Sorry I didn't want to leave anyone out but didn't want to include names. I traveled from Oklahoma city and absolutely love this hospital and their staff! Best Hospital

This is the best hospital and staff around. I had neck surgery from Dr. Park. Every person I dealt with here, (doctors/nurses/support staff/you name it), was sympathetic, kind, and helped with my every need. My wife and I both commented on the caring culture that is cultivated here. Don't get me wrong, surgery and hospital stays aren't fun, but if you have to get it done... well I would recommend this place. You won't be disappointed.
Horrible place, treats people like they are criminals. Wife was taken there in fear of a stroke, people are cold and heartless. Had to communicate through bullet proof glass, nurses wouldnt let me back nor did they ask for my phone number. Most impersonal hospital I have ever been to. Rude, rude and rude. I would never choose this hospital.
My mom stayed for a knee replacement and every member of the staff where polite and welcoming even to me and I wasn t the patient. Exceeded my expectations and the cafe food wasn t bad either.
This was the best hospital experience I have ever had as far as the nursing and facility. My daughter had a major spinal surgery and was in quite a bit of pain. The entire staff was extremely responsive, caring and friendly. They made the experience much better than what we expected. It was so nice to see people caring for people the way they do! I can't thank them enough! The facility was also great. We had a nice big private room and everything was in perfect order. We felt very safe and secure the whole time.
I has surgery on 8/19/21 with Dr. Mignucci, who was beyond excellent. Everyone else I came into contact with was wonderful, except for a woman whose name was Denise I believe. I deal with the most excruciating nerve pain imaginable and was in 12/10 pain while waiting to go into surgery. Everyone was being nice and helpful except Denise, who basically told me to shut up. Said I was annoying everyone by being too loud. I was sweating and crying in pain amd she had absolutely no empathy amd honestly made me feel worse. She is the rudest, most inconsiderate hospital employee I have ever met, and I'm in the hospital alot. I think she was actually the same woman that was rude to me pre-surgey back in April as well. Everyone else was wonderful and I love this hospital, but she made me so angry, disrespected, and anxious just minutes before a big surgey. Please don't let this happen to other people as well. Thanks again to Dr. Mignucci for performing an excellent surgery on me
My pre-op was phenomenal, as were the preop area, day of surgery. Everyone was wonderful until they wheeled me from my post surgery, to my room. I was being moved, in pain. The nurses response well, you just had surgery! Bed side manner was horrendous with three of the floor nurses. This was Aug 2020-Pandemic. I wasn t allowed any visitors, understandably. Was this the reason for lack of caring? Many unfortunate things occurred during my stay. My Pain pump locked, while the change of shift happened. The nurses response was you had X amount of pushes on it as she slammed the door. How can I push it if I m asleep? You should ve known to change it out before your change of shift. I called the nurses station several times about it beeping. No one was covering. I had spinal 360 done at 4 levels. I had NO pain medication for over an hour, first morning after surgery. It took about a total of TWO hours to get my pain under control due to their lack of poor planning. Then happened, again, on morning #2! My nurse for that day decides to give me all my medication for a 12 hour shift at one sitting, on a clear liquid! When I questioned him, he said I wasn t his only patient and I can not be monopolizing his time. Then he threw the TV hand-held speaker onto my freshly operated stomach! I can t even make this up. Then, of course, with no zofran on board (for nausea) with all those pills, I vomited. One of my other nurses refused to help get me in bed or reposition, since she previously had surgery before on her back. I asked if she could at least grab my legs. So, I have fresh surgical wounds from my belly button to my pelvis & on my back 5 in three areas & she would not be help me position bed. I couldn t wait to get out of there. This was, unfortunately, my 6th spinal surgery & I ve never been in pain before after a procedure like this. Ever! I understand they need your insides to wake up! But that was ridiculous. I don t write about all the other rude & unnecessary comments. I will say the female PT was great & the overnight PCT was excellent! My neurosurgeon is above & beyond phenomenal! He s fixing what my last several spinal surgeries didn t correct. However, this hospital, the nurses for post-op we re horrific & dangerous. I could understand one nurse less than desirable, but 3? Unfortunately, I need to have more surgical corrections. Knowing I have to submit myself to the care of this post-op floors are less than desirable. My trust in them is extremely worrisome. At least this time, I m allowed visitors. If it happens again, I m ready to submit my complaints to the Texas Board of Nursing. No one should ever have to muster treatment like that or no medication on board after a major surgery like that. On another note, the wound care specialist is also phenomenal. Although the elevators did not work on two of our visits.
My mother had her back surgery performed at this hospital, on April 22, 2021. Her surgeon Dr. Christopher Michael and the supporting staff during the operation, were impeccable. However, her recovery in ICU and later her own hospital room; to say the nurses and physical therapist(s) that tended to my mother, as less than stellar, is a gross understatement. Per my mom, no one took her anxiety and concerns post surgery very seriously and on top of that, when she requested her pain medication, was always met by the nurse with, What do you want? Of course, you re in pain! . Dreadful. Happy to refer anyone to Dr. Michael as he s one of the top surgeons in his field. But would not recommend the rest of the staff here as a whole.
