I usually don't like to write a review, but this one is just one of the few I've ever written so far. Unfortunately, this is one of most sickest ER experience I ve ever had when it comes to caring for my family member.
Cons: -Poor customer service -Poor pain management -Poor response time to patient need -Lack of teamwork spirit among the ED/ER staff members -Lackadaisical attitude to the patient need
Pros: -Excellent, caring spirit by radiology staff member.
Word of advice: Think twice before going to this location. With my background in the medical field, I was expecting an excellent patient-centered-care services, but it wasn't palatable. I will not recommend this ER center to my enemy/ for anyone reading this review. IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR WELL-BEING AND YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS, THINK 2X, 3X, even 4X BEFORE GOING THERE. Thanks.

Was just told by Veronica that she CAN'T bath all of her patients?!?!? It's impossible she said. Her shift started at 7am it is now after 3pm and she never even asked my Mother if she wanted a bath! Only after I asked her about it did she offer my Mother a bath! I don't care how many patients you have ALL of them should be offered and given at least the bare minimum basic care needs; food, water, bath...
My Mother us diabetic and these folks let her glucose levels get down to 67. My Mother complained that she felt cold, skim clammy, and sweating. The Nurse just stood there like he either didn't believe her or didn't know what to do. My Mother had to tell him she thought her blood sugar had dropped. Then and only then did he say I will check your blood sugar.
The Tech Veronica came in the room to check vitals as if she had an attitude; with her hand on her hip and everything. THIS is the type of treatment that people of color get at this hospital and it SHOULD NOT be allowed!!!
More than pissed!!! Next move is a call to the Chief Nursing Officer!!!
Nurse Kim, n doc Rosalayn..n all the nurses are great my visit was great considering i had to go to hospital but they eased my mind n i would def come back..wait... IF I HAD TO
I was left in the waiting area for over 8 hours literally sobbing in pain. They did take me back for a CT and gave me a single hydrocodone tablet for the pain. They treated me as if I were over exaggerating my pain. They sent me back to the waiting area and a couple of hours later they came out and told me it would still be an unknown amount of time before they could get me in a bed and treat me for a migraine. They said it required a bed to give me IV meds for the migraine. They would not even give me oxygen and looked at my husband like he was crazy when he asked about giving me oxygen for the migraine. They treated us as if we were drug seeking junkies. I was literally wailing and sobbing in the waiting area. I was in that much pain. I actually have a high tolerance for pain. You can ask anyone who knows me. We finally left and drove to Baylor in Waxahachie where they got me right in, turned down the lights, gave me a shot of Reglan (NOT an IV), put me on oxygen and gave me a Benadryl (the standard migraine cocktail) and I had relief within minutes of arriving. They showed concern, compassion and made sure I was comfortable. A person should not be left in the waiting area for 8 hours in that kind of pain and told it would be several more before they would even treat you. I will go to Baylor from now on and so will all of my family members even though Charlton is less than 5 minutes down the street from my parents house. Baylor knows how to treat people.
Most definitely the worst hospital I ve ever been to! I ve been up here for 3 hours with my sister who could possibly be miscarrying and they ve been taking all the time in the world to see her. I had to go to the window several times to ask what was taking so long. Eventually, we spoke up and several other people spoke on how long they ve been waiting there. Someone else even told us it would be better and much quicker to go to a an ER in Mansfield because she had been waiting so long with her daughter. It shouldn t take an ambulance bringing a person in for them to receive immediate care. This is the third time we ve dealt with them and this may very well be the last time we do. Thanks for nothing!
I came here thru emergency and thought for sure it will be hours before they see me. My wait time was less than 1 hour and I got admitted within 1 hour. I've been here for one week and going home today. All the staff from the surgeons to the nurses to the cleanup crew were wonderful. I felt that every nurse and surgeon was compassionate but straight forward about my situation. I'm glad I made the right choice of coming here.
I had took my child there the staff do have that look like they hate there jobs but hey who does not dislike there job sometimes. Well anywho when I go to charge my phone as we went in this morning did not leave till three was late picking up my son who is seven from school. I left my charger I called was put on hold ....they never came back.the second time I was hung up on..I know it's not an emergency but it was also easy to just tell me you have a lost and found..and u don't have time. Or just say u don't have one and your staff stole it..but don't hang up in my face.
The absolute worst hospital. The nursing staff does not have the patients best interest at heart. The Dr. are not willing to follow-up with families. The doctors and staff are running a mockery of an emergency room. I was told my mother was going to die. I was told that they could not receive a good reading on her EKG for her heart. The nurse in emergency yelled at my mother and scolded her for letting out a scream because she was in so much pain that she could not tolerate the pain with or without the medications they were administering to my mother. It took my mother over 7 hours to receive any medical care after being transported to emergency by ambulance on December 21, 2016 at 2:22 a.m. When attempting to collect names of the staff, dr, and nurses, none of them were wearing identification badges. Do not take your loved one to Charlton Methodist Hospital- they do not care, they do not pride themselves in urgent care, or patient care. This hospital staff in not to be trusted and they seem OK if your loved one dies. Fortunately, My mother is very alive and I am glad the Lord blessed her to still be here on this earth. If you have not other choice for medical care, Please make sure you or your loved one has an advocate that will speak up, ask questions, and insist on upholding the oath of life that medical staff should govern themselves. The worst hospital and staff. THE WORST. The emergency room is a mockery to the human race in need of medical assistance.
Labor and delivery Every time I go there is a long wait but when you are seen it s quick. My recent visit was when I gave birth to my daughter. I was veeery hesitant because of the reviews but I had no choice. I was induced which was quick and they checked on me every couple of minutes. When it was time for labor They took care of me. I was in so much pain from double contractions and Leslie from labor and delivery was amazing. My labor was quick and they paid great attention to me and my baby. I had to stay for three days other than the one nurse who busted my vein everything went well and I will always recommend this Methodist
They have the Best Labor and delivery staff and Docs here!!! I gave birth to my daughter last year and the nurses made my experience so inceredible !! I hope to give birth again! They were very understanding of my situation and very helpful!!
If you want ur family to live dont take them to this hospital, my nana/grandma came in with high cholesterol and low heart rate 50bpm, they left her in a room for over 1hr by herself, she had to crawl out of bed and to the restroom, and because they dont know what's wrong, they sent her home with low heart rate and without a reference to a heart doctor.
Didn't want to have my baby here was supposed to go to the Methodist on Colorado. But overall the experience was good. The nurses did everything they could for me which meant a lot to me. The only complaint is the anesthesiologist did not put my epidural in correctly which caused me alot of pain. But the experience was better than i expected.
You know i think this is a great hospital... but poor on giving people job opportunities. I've applied maybe 4 different jobs, all three with only High School Diploma needed. (One of which is the Catering Attendant about five weeks ago?) But when I call wanting to speak with someone they don't want to transfer you because "they will call you if your application catches the employer's attention." So I'm guessing they toss aside applicants who they deem not worthy of their time. But isn't that part of their job? ... idk... I've never worked human resources.
The nurses in the ER are rude...obnoxious...and display the fact they don't care about the patients...my Mother has been sitting in the waiting room with a tube in her side in excruciating pain...and it took these people over 4 hours to get her some damn pain medicine...I had to go to the back more times than I can count just to get my damn Mom some pain medication...and they acted as though I was wrong for just wanting relief for my damn Mother...this place should be outlawed and closed...Parkland hospital provides better customer and patient service and concern...my Mother is Veda Smith...she has a tube that is twisted that is causing blockage to my Mothers fluid out flow...Charlton Hospital in Desoto Texas is responsible for placing this junk in my mother...and it can possibly cause an infection...or cause extreme harm or death to my Mother...do not bring loved ones to this terrible place...
My son was sick and they told my wife I couldn't go back so I had to wait in the ER even after i told them i was the father .. i dont understand that.. at that the nurse at the register center was on social media while we waited to give her the registration information..
I was having issues and had to be rushed to Charlton on the 17th, my Doctor Jeremy Vaughn got there fast to save my baby! I'm so Glad I came here and I'm grateful to have had the chance to meet my Doctor, the Nurses and care techs! They made me feel so comfortable and they are wonderful caregivers when it comes to taking care of my baby. My experience here was great and I'm very thankful for everyone that took care of us!
My sister is ER and the first two nurses have been great with communicating with me since I m next to kin. I been driving 45 from Ft. Worth everyday. Saturday night as soon as short changed everything went left. A nurse named Terri tried to give my sister psychosis drugs when I asked her to give her fluids because my sister was barely eating or drinking for days. My sister was in restraint and had urinated on herself. Terri called the cops on me and had them to make me leave because I asked her not to give her that. I admit my tone was escalated. I calm down and left because the cops have a job to do. Come back Sunday. She has no fluids, nurse Ann tried to get vitals but machine is broken, around late 7ish. Said she was getting a new machine and come back and take vitals but she left and went to another part of the hospital? Nurse Tiffany B. is the new nurse, never introduced herself. But I asked her if she could get her viral around 9ish. She said they have all day to that. I asked about 15 mins later. It was about 10 pm and she came in with the same broke machine! So she got frustrated I m assuming she had to get one that was working to get her vitals. 10 mins later police asked me to leave. Whatever your medical needs are they are not honored. You can t entrust in them with your health and safety. They don t understand that we have a solemn responsibility to you and your family, and you can t trust that their team takes that commitment very seriously.
No one answers the main line. I have been on the line for 9+ minutes. When I finally had my line answered was transferred to the patient information line and again put on hold.Glad it is not an emergency.I think it is poor customer service.
My wife had our baby here. Im very pleased whit the service the provided us whit. Everyone in the staff was really nice. They where not only professional but carrying.
If I could rate lower I would, don't come here. My great grandmother came in for a surgery at this place and had to fast for 3 days prior to the surgery and they forgot about ther surgery so now she has to fast another day and hopefully she will make it through the surgery. Very disappointing!
Had to take my 83yr old mom to this hospital. Went through emergency which was fine. We arrived around 2am and put into a room with a bed and thought she would be moved soon...not.. But from 7am to 230pm the service was very bad for a hospital. We call for some to reposition of the bed. No one came. She requested breathing treatment, no one came. NO ONE. We were in room 26. The date was December 19, 2017 so if you want to know who was on staff you may look it up on the computer. This PatientRepCharlton@mhp is nonsense. Does it exists???? NOT.
I'm so emotional. Ok so on 12/5/2019 I came here cause I was having an asthma attack I signed in at 7:40 something I was told to wait and I couldn't breathe so I went out to the ambulance and asked them if they could help me and they told no they couldn't do anything. I was like wow. Soooo I eventually got helped at 10 something almost 11 I got my breathing treatment and IV and didn't leave til about 12:00AM but my point is THIS IS THE WORST HOSPITAL IN DALLAS I SWEAR I HATE IT. ILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN. No wonder why they call this hospital The Deadly hospital. Please dont go here
OMG so ghetto! The emergency X-ray tech told my sister not to get any ideas when she had to remove articles of clothing for the X-ray. Staff was on the phone when help was needed. I just didn't understand what was going on.
My husband was admitted from the hospital from the ER. While our experience with the nurse was satisfactory, I still left the hospital confused. We received a bunch of resources and good information but some other things just wasn't sticking. Most of the professionals talked at us language and terms familiar to medical. But no one was rude until I met Andrea Lee. Ms. Lee was at the front door and I explained to her we spoke with a social worker and was told could come back to hospital. When I asked her to get someone down to talk with us she literally stared in another direction as if I didn't ask her to call for assistance. I walked out and used the phone and my mask was done. She had no problem asking me to pull my mask up and stating the rules. But she refused to call someone to help me..
I'm a Lyft driver who needed to use the bathroom. I dropped the customer off at this hospital and asked to use the facilities. The receptionist allowed me to use said facilities, and call the police on me for taking too long. The first two times she checked on me, I told her that I was doing number two and I will be a little while. She told me, through the door, that she would be calling the police if I didn't leave. I told her I would leave as soon as I was finished, but as I was washing my hands a police officer knocked on the door and told me that I needed to leave.
My Mom passed 12 (TWELVE) days ago and I can not proveed with cremation until Death Certificate is signed. Still waiting. I hope to never have to deal with this place ever again.
This hospital is the worst i have ever seen. The emergency room is horrible and the staff is rude and they dont care about the patients. I will never bring myself or any other family to this hospital. Horrible horrible!!!!
My newborn went to Dr.Ali and he requested labs be done and told me I could get them done at the hospital. We took my daughter to go get her labs done and was told that since my daughter was not born at the hospital that they were not able to bill my insurance that it apparently went against their policy. That it had to be out of pocket and services had to be paid for upfront. When I contested it with the financial department, they changed the tune and said it because they are not a preferred lab that they don t bill our insurance. The whole situation at outpatient services was sketchy and Courtney was really rude (and lying about being an office manager), unprofessional and misinforming patients. I called the business center for billing and was told no such policy exists and that they should of told me up front that they are not a preferred lab and been able to charge my insurance for services being rendered.
I ve been here In the e.r For 4 hours in severe pain, and haven t made it to a room yet. It took an hour and a half to get my vitals taken. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
Charlton Methodist hospital in Duncanville is the worst place in the world to take yourself or a loved one. We took our daughter last night for seizures andthey did absolutely nothing for her to help her. In fact, I was yelled at by a nurse for trying to ask about her condition. I have had several people tell me they have lost people through the er due to these deplorable conditions. This place should be shut down. In this city we should have more options on where to go when calling an ambulance. I am disgusted.
Ton, Van MD. Was so heartless. He sent me home with an ectopic pregnancy not doing anything but testing my urine and blood. The er prior to him requested a sono, he said no need, we will start methotrexate! He was so cold and mean. He made comments to be little me for not having a PCP. I just moved from out of state and haven't settled in yet. All my family and I being the location go here. But now, I'm telling y'all. You can and deserve better treatment. I would say it's this one time but no. They almost Over dosed my grandmother with and simple arm break, she ended up there 3 wweeks. My grandpa slipped out side the hospital, the took him in and sent him home. Just to find almost one month later it was broken. It's horrible here y'all. Go somewhere else whe r e people love what they do, cause at this location they don't care at all. I pray God's will be done. Because one day someone may not be so forgiving of their rude and hurtful way of practice. Plus no one there seems to have communication abilities, in language or edict. I wish I could give less than 1 star, ...
I was just a patient in Methodist Charlton Hospital for 4 days and 4 nights. I received excellent care both in the ER and in my room. The doctors, nurses, and techs were friendly, efficient, and very competent. I would highly recommend this Hospital to anyone.
I ve had nothing but a wonderful experience here. Under the circumstances I came in here with. I have been given nothing less than the very best of care. My surgeons dr Alexander and dr chambers were very excellent . My nurses, Ms. Monica , Ms. Hulga , and Ms. Cantrina. They were all very sensitive and gave me nothing but the best of treatment. The technicians Ms. Mekdes, Ms. Annie , Ms. Tameka, Mr. Abdules, and a very others were like angles. I will always be grateful to be on the A floor and I will never forget my experience and acts of kindness shown to me and my children in room A3117.
My mother is frequently in Charleston Methodist Medical Center, she has been treated well and cared for to my satisfaction. We have never sat in the emergency room, she has come via Ambulance. She is currently in ICU at the time of this review. Thank you for caring for my Mom.
I took my son via ER @ 6am. I was hysterical, as I assumed I may have OD my child due to pain from wisdom teeth extractions. The front desk nurse or whatever her title was appeared to be very concerned w/me as a parent. A/B 8am, he saw a nurse. Later he saw the Dr. Next urine test, blood test, IV. Headache gone and my son feel so much better thanks to Dr. Hunt and staff. My son was cold and I guess they saw him on camera sitting outside. The nurse went to him. I appreciate that and thank God for you all. Its really a nice facility with a bad wrap. Kudos. Keep doing what you're doing. Professional Grade Well, I'm back/it wont allow me to submit a new review. I was there Sunday for myself. Pneumonia . The hospital staff took great care of me. 1st time I've had blown veins but the 3rd try was a charm. Thanks nurse C. Obaldso. Or something like that. We discussed Vampirina. My only concern is for someone to clean the ER restrooms at least every 30-1 hour. Ty/keep up the good work. I'm keeping my money in my community
My son was admitted into this hospital after being misdiagnosed with covid 19. He was treated like trash from Charge Nurse Yonas and overnight Nurse Margaret his first night on the floor. Nurse Yonas had my son on a flat blue hard mattress. I found out because my son back was hurting and when I looked I noticed the blue mattress was deflated and hard. Deanna immediately took care of this and got my son another bed. Nurses Deanna and Mildred did listen to my concerns and assigned 3 amazing nurses to care of my son. There names were Jade, Rukhsana, and Gentu. They went above and beyond to make sure my son was in as less pain as possible and I appreciate them for that. We need more nurses like them. The doctors ran test on him while we were there, but Dr. Bandaru released him even though he had pneumonia which me or my son knew nothing about and they were suspecting lymphoma. My son was in excruciating pain the next morning. when I went to get his prescription Dr Bandaru had sent his prescription to cedar hill Utah. I tried, my son tried and the pharmacist tried to get in contact with Bandaru, NO ANSWER. Why give him your card and tell him to contact you if we needed anything! We finally contacted a nurse and she took care of everything, but again my son was in excruciating pain. The pain medicine you gave him was a joke. The same day my son was rushed by ambulance back out to Methodist in mansfield where his health deteriorated. He is now fighting for his life on a breathing machine and in a medically induced coma because of an infection in his body, pneumonia, and it turned out he did have lymphoma. They have started chemo. These doctors are amazing and found this out within a week, but we were there at Charleston for 4 days. Dr Bandaru, you even told my son to stop crying it wouldn t make the pain go away, how would you know? Your supposed to have compassion. Have you ever had lymphoma and pneumonia at the same time? This is my only child and I am disgusted the way you Bandaru a doctor and Nurse Yonas and Margaret treated my son.
Worst hospital I ever been in, 15 days after two ER visits. No one follows protocol. Change nurses and techs ever shift never have the same one. Left at 1:30am. Watched one nurse clean scissors with paper towel to cut pill in half. Had two nurses not clean IV before hooking antibiotics to stent that was not capped. Had one nurse forget to run IV through doser and ran antibiotics straight into my arm. Update the night I left at 1:30am because they were trying to move me to the Covid unit on the fourth floor. I was retested the same day and just received a negative for Covid. Glad I left that place.
Currently waiting in ER going on 4 (FOUR) hours waiting to see a doctor. Seems like everyone else is also waiting four hours or more. Previously my wife delivered our daughter here and everything was fine, but I don't ever plan to come back. In hindsight, coming here tonight was an extremely bad decision. Unless it is a true life or death emergency, drive farther to a better hospital in Dallas.
I noticed that many of the bad reviews were based on experiences at the ER. The ER may have some issues that needs improvement but the main hospital service is excellent. I had my baby here few days ago and the service was excellent. The workers/staffs, from the nurses to servers, etc were all excellent. I had a really great experience with them. Although the cleaners came to clean up the room every other day or 2, which is not recommended for a hospital. Moreover, not all the nurses are well trained, I had a nurse inject the needle in the wrong place twice, claiming she couldn't find my vein, which was very obvious. I called for another nurse, who found my vein within secs. That vein which was wrongly injected was swollen and was in pain for a week; hence the minus 1 star.
Worst hospital here the nurse came and asked me.for my social supposedly to verify my name i am Hispanic and not one person dod he asl for theyre social or ID very racist front desk ER registered nurse . very rude
On Dec 26 2013 I had a heart attack about 2:30 pm while I was with my daughter. We were very close to Charlton so she took me there. We both told them I had had a heart attack. They sedated me with a morphine drip - then when my daughter told them I was having a reaction to the morphine, they started other narcotics. I was out until the next morning --- 16 HOURS LATER -- when I was finally diagnosed correctly. I was finally taken to the OR and one stint was put in an artery. Three days later I was sent home. I was gasping for breath and ready to throw up. Two days later my daughter called 911 and I was taken to Mansfield Methodist. Within ten minutes, I was undressed and rushed to the OR where another stint was put in an artery they had missed at Charlton, and I was started on medication to get rid of the fluid build up in my lungs. Within just a few days I was able to breathe again.
However, my heart has been badly damaged BECAUSE OF THE DELAY IN TREATMENT and I am no longer the healthy old lady I had been.
MY RECOMMENDATION; IF YOU HAVE A HEART ATTACK IN THE LOBBY OR PARKING LOT OF CHARLTON METHODIST - CALL AN AMBULANCE AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. And yes, it is dirty.
Did home pregnancy test and went to the doctor after to see if everything was OK. They are so lazy they took urine blood and did a sono and said I wasn't pregnant. Worst hospital ever. They just diagnose people with anything to get them out
I appreciate the staff, they took good care of my mom during the two weeks of stay. My mom wouldn't be here if it happened been for the staff that expedited her urgent needs to live. I was there the whole time watching and praying and they were nice. The doctors and nurses were respectful curious and nice they helped me to understand the procedures while my mom was in ICU. Thank you for taking care of my mom she's alive a well.
I really like this facility, yet I have to give it one star because of some of the "funny" attitudes I faced. My dad was staying on the 7th floor, with wonderful nurses and "most" techs are good. Also they have one rude secretary named Mercedez who is very mean and has attitude when asked a simple question. She is not approachable at all. In my opinion secretaries are the face of the hospital, and this one is definitely not. The worst tech who works on that floor is a older lady named Georgina who probably needs to retire or find something else to do, because she is clearly not content with her position as Eunice, the night tech who is lazy and always sleeping. Yet, there was one tech who made up for the bad attitudes the other two techs had was Griselda for day shift, she was wonderful! Also, at night there was a young guy named Everett or Ever (I can't remember his name) yet he was very kind hearted. As for the nurses, they were all excellent and very hardworking. <3 Oh, and I forgot to mention the best housekeeper ever which is Rita!
Since I had to give a star.... This place has the worst ER of any hospital I ve ever been to. The staff are all extremely rude and the wait times are ridiculous! They treat people who seem perfectly fine before people who obviously aren t. This place needs to shut down or have a complete management makeover.
I wouldn't go to this hospital for anything as simple as a headache. I was about 1 month pregnant when I started bleeding alot, so I went to the e.r at this hospital, had to wait over 5 hrs literally just for them to poke and prod me with gyno equipment. I literally had to ask someone if I had a miscarriage because no one was actually telling me anything.. not even the doctor. When it was time for me to be discharged, again I had to ASK what they would be doing with the remains of my miscarried baby and they claimed it was being sent to lab for "testing" and that they would call me when they got results back.. of course there was no call. And the people that work at the front desk of e.r are absolutely horrible. I see why they have to be behind such thick glad with security back there with them because they are rude. Id be shocked if one them hadn't got snatched up yet.
I have been waiting in the ER for over 4 hours to be seen for what the doctor suspects is a kidney stone/stones. The staff is so disorganized and unconcerned. The wait times here are utterly ridiculous. If I could rate this experience a "0" I would!
I had been extremely sick for two days before I broke down and let my husband bring me to the ER. The waiting room was full of people more than half of which should have been to urgent care. I was triaged and it was found I had an extremely high heart rate 194. I was in afib for the first time in my life. They had me in a room immediately despite being incredibly busy. I was treated by an ER staff who was extremely competent as well as displayed genuine care and concern. They hooked me up to the monitors and they started going off immediately. Long story short I was admitted. They got me out of afib quickly and fortunately all tests showed everything was fine with no permanent damage. I stayed for four days and had nothing short of amazing medical care. Not a single complaint and believe me I am picky.
I won t go into detail about the care my mother received over the course of nine days there, but suffice it to say unless you ABSOLUTELY MUST go there, find another health facility. The lack of care and professionalism she and I both experienced was disgusting.
My 89year old mother recently had a surgical procedure there I could not be happier with the service. The surgeon Dr Osanne was easy to talk to and answered all of our questions and concerns. The staff on A 3 wing were excellent and took better care of my mother than I expected. She wanted to make sure I let the hospital know what good care she received and how much she liked everyone that she dealt with
I went for a laparoscopic cholecystectomy yesterday and every worker I encountered treated me with kindness and respect. They answered all my questions and made me feel at ease going into surgery. The nurses are very compassionate and attentive. God forbid I need another surgery but if I do I know I ll be in good hands here.
Please don't waste your time with ER care part. I brought my husband here on MLK day. because he was sick. The ran test on him told him he had a virus. Sent him home with what I thought was antibiotic. NO it was pain Med and vomiting med. I explained to them what happened with him 3 years ago. Long story short had to bring him somewhere else. So he been in the hospital since Sunday and the doctors told me if I had not he could have died. So he have the same thing he had 3 years ago. Been calling to talk with someone they never call me back.
Very very slow been here 4 hrs and still waiting in the waiting room. I didn't know it took over 4 hrs to get a room. For peeps sake we trying to check on are baby smh. I've never been in a E.R this long never ever in my 30 years of living.
Do not go to this hospital. Its dirty, they don't clean properly. When I asked the housekeeping people to clean our room she said that this was a hospital not a hotel. Also, my dad passed away and I am sure it was because of their care. My dad was hospitalized there for 10 days, I was there all day-since 6am until 9pm. He was sick but okay. They were giving him a lot of medicine and I kept asking to give me a list of what they were giving him and they didn't! On the ninth day he was having a hard time breathing I kept asking for a doctor all day long and no one would help me. His nurse was extremely rude and told me that she didn't have to call a doctor. She said that she could be "nice" and call him but that she wasn't going to do it because she was too busy and had other patients. It was clear that my dad needed attention. And he didn't get attention until 2am. He had been having a hard time breathing for almost 16 hours! I am so mad because the next day he passed away! ....I want his story to be known because there's so many other things that happened after he passed away. My sister got arrested for crying over my dads loss. Why would they call the police on her for becoming histerical after seeing my dad in the bed dead. How did they want her to react! after we begged them that we wanted to be with him by his side. He was dying, and they still kept telling us he wasn't! I confronted the doctors and asked them why they didn't check on him the day before because this could have been prevented. They told me that they were never called, which means the nurse I kept begging for help never called the doctors. This makes me SO mad. My dad was sick he might have been dying but he didn't have to die this way or that soon. I want my dads story to be known. I just want people to know what really goes on.
Worst care Ive ever witnessed! Most of the staff were rude an inattentive and ignored requests for help stating they weren't the nurse on duty. My family member was brought in via ambulance and was treated flippantly to the point I had to walk out several times and request for them to help her as she was complaining of chest pain after being in a car accident and being hit by an airbag. Was left in a c-coller for 6 HOURS and they didn't do xrays for 2. All while she is constantly saying her chest hurts and she cant breath. After 5 hours we finally got a nice nurse who moved things along quickly but so many things could have happened between then. The second time we had to come back was equally as horrible! Wont go back if any of us can help it.
I went into the ER with 3 lacerations on my left hand, was called back within 5 minutes to have my BP and information taken. After BP and info, I was placed directly in a room. The staff was very friendly and attentive. P.A. Shane did an awesome job of cleaning and stitching up my hand, talked me through the entire process. After it was all said and done they got me my scripts and I was released, quickest ER visit ever! Only 1.5hrs total. Thank you Methodist!
I Thank God for this Hospital! I was very sick when I was admitted. Special Thanks to the heart doctor Dr. Ghai, whom performed my surgery, Staff Dr. Bandaru, Nurses, technician, Dietary dept., supporting staff, and lab technicians. Special thanks to night nurses Gail and Jennifer. Charlton is a GREAT Hospital. Thank you for saving my life. I don't have nothing negative to say!!
I had a great experience in L&D. The nurses were amazing, very attentive and supportive of my decision to have a natural birth. The nurses after delivery were great as well. I would give the nursing staff 5 stars. The reason I m giving 3 is because of the billing department. I had my child on Nov. 2nd, received the bill December 19th and started receiving collection calls on December 24th. I spoke with someone and told them I could pay the full bill on Monday when we return from the holiday vacay. Received another call the day after Christmas and informed Gabby of the same conversation. I then asked why it was stated as being in collections when I just received the bill a week ago. With a horrible attitude she tells me, because it is in collections, and I m collecting a debt. Give me your address so I can send you a letter so you can t use you didn t receive a collections notice as a crutch. I was already going to pay the bill, as my insurance covered most of it and the cost is minimal but I will not be disrespected for asking a simple question. Now I will be changing OB s to make sure I never have to go to this hospital again.
Human resources very unprofessional, don't give any job opportunities did at least five applications had interview sent copy's of Diploma and still won't hire with 3 yrs of experience.
I'm scared to go here, but primary doctor is there! I've lost at 3 people in that hospital and I don't have a clue what to do because I am scheduled to go there.
They are rude in the carfeteria. Inconsistent and the food is garbage. News flash we do not have to eat your food have a better personality and attitude ugh... bye add some flavor to your meals.
Woooowwwwww wish I didn't have to give a star cause you all definitely don't deserve it the service is horrible. The staff is unprofessional and the facility is unsanitized. Who needs to be contacted about this facility. How is this place still open. My mom came in by ambulance at 7pm for a possible lung collapsed and it is now 5:50am and we a still waiting for a room haven't seen a physician or doctor. I wouldn't recommend them treating my pets. Something needs to be done about this place a hospital is supposed to be a place to come get well not leave infected from the uncleanliness of the hospital. No one that works here deserves a paycheck. This is a waist of time and space. I vote that it needs to be SHUTDOWN!!!!!!!
This place is a disgrace I been here since 8pm and it's 1:32am and a doctor just Came into check on me since we been in my room ugh this wait seem forever. Please save your time and energy and don't come here but if you have no choice be ready for the wait and rude people at the front desk and What really bother me was at check in the guy and young lady ckept calling everyone her and him never calling us by our name as if we were just a number that they were trying to get out the way.So happy to get my prescription and get up out of this nevrn ending place.
Their triage/labor and delivery nurse Leslie is pure excellence! I recommend her and her shift. She is a wealth of experience, professionalism and is very engaging! I rated this hospital 1 star because 0 isn't an option. Again Leslie is wonderful but to counter such an amazing experience with her then have to make the acquaintance of her colleague Gerri Griffin was like night and day. This woman was horrendous from start to finish, a total nightmare. If you go into labor and end up with Gerri tell that baby to wait, close your legs and head to Methodist Dallas
A Nurse trying to draw my blood didn't know what he was doing he was so bad he had to get. a machine to draw her blood and still couldn't find her vains she got large bruises from the nurse was polking her I thought she was going to bleed to death he was a intern from Parkland training to be a nurse
I checked in at 6pm it wasn t until 8pm when I was pulled to the back which took another 2 hrs till I seen a doctor. I could understand if there were a lot of patients but it was only 3 of us. I sincerely hope you guys start taking people visiting the er a bit more serious instead of having them waiting 4hrs to get help while vomiting blood!!!!!!! I ve never been more irritated and disappointed in a medical staff a day in my life.
They dont give a damn about people, i hate this hospital with a passion, save your life and go somewhere else. These physicians do not care about people.
Honestly I don't even give them one star but in order to write a review you have to. I was in labor and Delivery yesterday for five hours with nothing but a heating pad on my back. They tried to tell me five different diagnosis and one of the nurses quoted to my fiance that it was the worst place to be on the weekend because of employment being short when I first got there they told me that it was muscle strain, then five hours later after the other four diagnosis they want to run a CT scan and start an iv which could have been done sooner if it was appendicitis and me laying there for five hours don't you think it would have been the first thing they would've needed to do?? I left came home and slept on a heating pad all night, Prayed to my Lord above and the pain is now no where near what it was. Now I'm waiting to hear from my doctor about my white blood cell count
I've had to come to Charlton Methodist a few too many times for chest pains. Caused by anxiety. But, you never know. First of all, everyone here is nice and caring. But, the one that stands out is Dr. Phillip. He is an amazing person, doctor, and listener. I've had the privilege of seeing him twice. And, both times, after he did his clinical diagnosis of my problems, he prayed for me. I mean who does that?? I myself am a believer. So, I was so overwhelmed with emotion when he did this both times. This man sets the bar sooooo high for ED doctors. The rest of the ED physicians in the world can learn a lot from him. Most caring, compassionate, and REAL Doctor I have ever met.
Best hospital care I have ever seen!!!!! Clean, friendly, and excellent patient care! Thank you so much!!! Tiffany the Wound Care Specialist is Top Notch!!!!!!!!!!!
