I understand that they might hate their career decision, but when I go in there to get evidence of a call I made- having never broken a single law prior, I shouldn t feel like a criminal in there. They treated me with the upmost disrespect, and had an attitude of a 16 year old girl with her mother. I m glad though, being their building can depict the Arizona law enforcement in general. I only gave it one star, because there isn t a no stars option. Have a nice day.

If you cant manage to avoid a knife from someone with Aspergers, send me a message. I can handle it for you people with the PR-24 the Navy trained me to use. Granted I was taught 27 years ago and trained how to de-escalate a situation without murdering someone. That training must have not made it to you yet.

As former law enforcement it sickens me Mesa PD rehired a murderer to give him a retirement pension. Anyone with common senses let alone law enforcement training knows Brailsford set up that poor man so he could kill him! However most police view civilians as garbage and don t care.

The citizenry needs to be taught to obey cops verbal commands then all the drama stops I support 100 % the Mesa Police they are in existence to determine who is committing a crime and then to arrest the person and verbal non compliance by a citizen should be dealt with severely why do we expect them to gingerly deal with people that are not obeying them - cops get shot all the time by being to nice - people fleeing the police injure others all the time because the police were to nice and were not allowed to immediately stop them from fleeing.

They may be courteous to your face, but that is where it ends. I reported that my wife bought a gun and was going to commit suicide. She had the car, so I was unable to go after her. I informed the police where she was headed and they said they would look into it, but the sly devils never said *when* they would look into it. She was exactly where I said she would be, and my mother in law found her body the next day. Apparently, they only filed a "missing persons" report, which per protocol, they don't even try looking for 24 hours just in case she comes back on her own and they don't have to waste resources. That would have been a dandy thing for you to TELL ME so I could find someone else to actually help her before it is too late. Instead, I found out this information afterwards. That and they claim that they found my wife's body! NO - my mother in law did! It was right off of the US 60, exactly where I told you she would be 20 hours previous. If just ONE officer looked for her at all, they would have found her; instead, I get three officers twiddling their thumbs at my doorstep never intending to do anything actually helpful for my situation. They sure are great at cleaning up the bodies though, so I give them 2 stars.

Everyone wants to complain about police but no one is willing to step up and do their job. Theese people say goodbye to their loved ones every day hoping to come back home to say it again the next day.yes I have met some cops that are on power trips. But NOT ALL of them are like that. So before you trash them put yourself in their shoes and think about what they do and deal with. Would you do their job? Especially for what they get paid?
Rule of thumb DONT BREAK THE LAW.

Thanks Mesa PD for all that you do to help keep our town and people safe.

He also informed me that 2 jaywalking fatalities had involving Black men. I wanted take the to thank him and to let know I am thankful that he didn't write me a ticket. I turned 61 years old on that day and would like to see 62.

I have a lot of respect for law enforcement thank you for what you do day in and day out I appreciate it. However sometimes they act like the tweekers the meth heads and the hookers have more rights than us law-abiding citizens and that's not right. I don't know if it's because they're your snitches but I believe they should get in trouble for their crimes instead of getting a slap on the hand and get by with it. Other than that thank you for all you do

Mesa police department allowed a tow company to st...

Mesa police department allowed a tow company to steal my vehicle without verifying the validity of the supposed repossession. I had purchased a vehicle from auction and had a clean clear title. Verified everything Thru the MVD. I put all of the vehicle paperwork in my name at a DMV location. Within three hours of doing so, the vehicle was picked up by a repossession tow truck company at my property. This company gave Mesa police an abbreviated company name so we could not verify the company. They also gave Mesa PD the wrong address and phone #.
Mesa Police Department should be held 100% responsible for their lack of verification in this matter. They allow the company to illegally steal a vehicle. They did not verify companies and we did they allow the company to illegally steal a vehicle. They did not verify the companies validly, just allowed them to steal the vehicle.
Unaware of what happened my vehicle, we called to report it stolen and they told us it was repaired. We informed them that I had a clean clear title and we gave them the VIN number but they would not help us. They realized that they had made a mistake, so one of their dispatchers said they would not assist us any further and they told us to call our lien holder. We call back again the next morning and explain the situation, inform them of our purchase and that there is no lien and again would not assist us. They told us to contact the lienholder but would not give us any information in regards to mean older ones or where the vehicle can be found. The Mesa police department who is supposed to uphold the law, broke the law and they should be held reliable for their actions. Here s another example of how government can do whatever they want and I do not suffer any consequences for their actions.
The vehicle that was stolen by the recovery service was all wheel drive and they dragged the vehicle. They have damaged the suspension and now there s a huge gouge in the inner right rear rim due to their towing equipment.
Mesa police allowed a tow company to illegally steal a vehicle and then they covered up their clerical issues by not provided the information that they are legally required to give.

Flat out said they were too busy to respond to an accident scene and told us to just exchange information and leave because we won t fill out a report if we come out, anyway. Now there s an insurance dispute because of no police report.

At least you can depend on them to do their job

You have a true hero in Officer Robert Ravago. He followed me home this evening after I was being followed by man in a white Ford Expedition. He didn t have to do that - but he did as I was absolutely terrified. He should be promoted to Sargeant. Thank you Mesa PD! I will remember him next time someone calls me to donate money to the fraternal order of police. You guys do not get paid nearly enough for what you do. Thank you for being an excellent officer.

Very hit and miss. Some officers have been very professional and respectful. Others did everything they could to not have to do any work.

I had one officer tell me he couldn't charge a guy for trespassing on my property because he only had my word on it which constituted hearsay. There's simply no way an officer could have actually believed that a victim's eye witness testimony was the same as hearsay. He lied to me. I had to remind him what my rights were, when it really should've been him not only informing me of my rights, but defending them.

Started with an exceptional under cover police officer who indicated they recovered a young child. Per conversation this same child, probably was at my neighbor's 4 months ago. Needless to say our best Mesa Police not only recovered this autistic little guy and reunited him to his father but went above and beyond to do it. LOVE our finest!

Attempted to call in to report a weirdo pacing around Jefferson park on 11/8/16 starting around 5:45 pm. Woman was screeching, howling, pinging/kicking air, screaming at passers-by, etc. Sat on hole without talking to a human being for over an hour (while she is still doing this in a park filled with children) before I gave up and left. Absolutely ridiculous, inexcusable on the city of Mesa's part. Either inept or understaffed is my guess, either way this is why idiots end up dialing 911 instead for faster help...and clog TGAT line with bs.

020120 MPD has demonstrated to us they are this: pro small family business. They defend the laws to keep us going. They are good at it. We love working in your town for 53 years. We live another day because of your devotion to law and order. We love the City of Mesa employees.

I just had another great experience with two fine representatives of this organization (K. Hernandez and A. Sailors). They stopped by to solve a challenging business situation. They are both great listeners. They will help us to stay in business and enjoy our lives.

First time in Mesa....in fact, first time in Arizo...

First time in Mesa....in fact, first time in Arizona. A few weeks ago. I enjoyed 90% of it but did notice drivers drive more aggressive than where i am from. This made me nervous as several people almost clipped my bumper. When i got home, i received a notification from one of those stupid camera tickets that i was speeding. I was shocked. I never speed. Then realized it was a dishonest speed trap. Where you're going 45, then suddenly drops to 35 because a school is there (which i didn't know since it was my first time there). The camera is placed there intentionally to generate revenue. And people from out of town don't notice the speed drop because they are just trying not to get rear ended by the crazy aggressive drivers out there.

Needless to say, this has left a major sour taste in my mouth towards Mesa and I have absolutely ZERO plans to ever go back. $290. Feels like a huge scam and very dishonest. In my state when officers pulk you over you can often explain to them and they often give you a warning. They are nice. It feels like robbery. Oh well.....i won't ever be back.....that much i can promise you. Shame. Nice state

On 11/20/2017 our neighborhood had a crazy person riding around. His threatening behavior scared the kids and adults. A call to Mesa Police was made. The dispatcher was great as well as the patrol officer that responded. From the time I called to the person being contacted by the officer was under 10 minutes. Thank you Mesa Police.

If my home were broken into tonight, I would rather take my chances with a home invader than anyone from this PD. They are more likely to end up killing me and my family than actually investigating a crime.

I was in a head on collision with a driver that had a history of duis and driving with a revoked license. The accident was her fault. The driver did not recieve a feild sobriety test nor did she get arrested. The officer that did the report did not ask if we were okay and wrote on the report that we refused medical attention. The accident diagram showed my car getting tboned which is totally wrong. Thank you mesa pd i feel depressed and let down because of this. Merry Christmas to all the lazy officers.

Every time I call for questions they never have an answer for anything. It's always " I'm not sure " & they have had my property for over a month now after my boyfriend being released from jail. Passports, phones, our money, our wallets and purse, ID's things we need out here with us !! These people are a joke

I am very disappointed that the Mesa Animal Care & Control Department does not assist in any way with someone's cat literally being stuck in a tree. They just recommended to wait for my cat to come down on his own (if he was going to he would have but when they finally returned my voice message, my cat had already been stuck up there 9 hours). Coty of Mesa police department wouldn't come out until they could see physical signs of distress (not eating or drinking for such a long time is distress in itself). And Mesa fire has to submit some kind of request form to use their ladder to retrieve a stuck cat. That all seems absurd. I'm cat is my family member and we were in need of civil services that were not being allotted to us, since my great disappointment.

This past Sunday, my pastors and I were trying to help an elderly, homeless woman find shelter in or around Mesa. She had been on our campus off and on for 2 weeks and we were not finding any available shelter, plus we realized she had some mental health issues that needed professional support. We made a non-emergency call to Mesa PD at about 11 a.m. and an officer arrived shortly. Officer Lopez was the most patient and resourceful person. His kindness and persistence to get the appropriate help and assure this lady was not left victim to the heat or vulnerable one more night on the streets was amazing. He first brought in another member of the Police Force, Officer Wiener to give him support and possibly identify more resources. Together they quite literally worked magic to develop the solutuion. They were not going to be denied a solution for this helpless woman.

To make a long story short, with additional support from the Mesa Fire Department, and the Terros Crisis Team, together we were able to encourage the lady to accept some help and go to a temporary shelter where services were avaliable to help evaluate her needs both physically and mentally. I have to tell you, seeing all the various groups working collaboratively to find a solution was heart-warming and successful when this was not a text-book situation. It required lots of thinking out of the box and reaching out to numerous resources, even another Police Department in another county.

Thank you to Officer Lopez and Officer Wiener. You are the best and great representatives of the Mesa Police Department in our community. I am grateful to live in a community where officers of this quality, heart and care are responding to our needs.
