Excellent, quaint, local in historic downtown Franklin, TN restaurant; but ... quite pricy. Good menu selection. Best for lunch, not supper. Go before noon as they sell out items quickly.

Judging by how packed it was the day my family and I were there, I d say that this place is very popular. It is not a full service establishment. You have to order your food, get a number, and find a table. My husband and I decided to divide and conquer. He ordered our food while I scouted for a table. Our food came out pretty quickly, which was a pleasant surprise. We all enjoyed what we ordered. I would definitely go back if I m ever in the area again.

Never a bad experience and a perfect place to experience local life in Franklin. Get there early in the morning for breakfast to join the locals (the flavored coffee of the day is a MUST) and order the sausage and gravy biscuits. If you're having lunch, you can't go wrong with the Apple Bacon Panini or the Monte Cristo with fruit tea.

I usually love this and come here every couple of weeks for a breakfast meeting. Service is usually good. I decided to bring the fam one evening for dessert and coffee drinks. It wasn t busy at all and it looked like the staff was adequate. We got our pastries right away but it took about 20 min to get coffee drinks. Service was not friendly and we had to approach an employee to actually remind them to make our drinks. I m not a whiner by any stretch of the imagination but this just felt wrong. Unfortunately, we won t be coming back for dessert any time soon. It s a bummer because I love supporting local but local should be doing better.

Went in to order takeout. Two girls behind the order counter had no masks. Cook in the kitchen had his mask down below his chin. One server had her mask down below her nose. Someone's eat-in order sat on the pick-up counter for at least 15 minutes, and I saw several servers pick up the plates on it, trying to figure out who it belonged to. I left without claiming my food because the more I saw, the more I was grossed out and figured I wouldn't eat the food when I got it home anyway. This was actually the first time we've gone there to order carry-out. Have ordered cakes before, and they have been very good. But, after seeing the way they are managing sanitation during the pandemic, it makes me wonder how they manage during normal operations.

This place is such a gem. A friend recommended it to me. Merridee's offers a cozy dining area and the service there is excellent. I ordered Key Lime pie for myself and grabbed a bag of cookies for my co-workers. We have all agreed that these are some of the best desserts we've had. Thanks for being exceptional Merridee's!

Charming downtown location. Friendly staff. Tasty selections. Lots of freshly made dessert options. Very small portions of everything other than bread. Pickles not included with platters or sandwiches, but available for extra fee. Always crowded. Sometimes difficult to get a table. Excellent place for carb-loving runners.

I honestly don't know how anyone could NOT love this place & everything about it. The old fashioned cinnamon rolls are so amazing. The bacon, egg & cheese sandwiches--YUM! The coffee is even good. Atmosphere is perfect & staff is always super friendly, despite the growing line behind my chaotic family. We bring all out-of-town guests here for breakfast to show it off.

Wow, wow, wow. My only regret was not being able to try everything. I ll be working my way through this incredible menu on future visits with my girlfriend. We became instant fanatics. My party of three had Philly Cheese Steak, Quiche, Curry Chicken Salad, Pecan Pie, and Molasses Cookies. Great taste, great atmosphere, great value*. Service with a smile. *Seriously, great value. My own meal was a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich, hot, about 10 inches long and sliced in half, on fresh homemade bread (I think). $8.59. After seeing that, I didn t even bother checking the prices on my slice of Pecan Pie (large slice, absolutely delicious and homemade) and the bottled Root Beer I ordered. I knew it was gonna be reasonable. Whole thing was $16. Name another place you can get a scratch-made premium hot sandwich, homemade dessert, and a drink for $16 in Franklin TN. I ll wait. It s been 5 hours and I m still full! EAT HERE

This is honestly one of those places you have to go to in downtown Franklin. A historic bakery, the place offers pies and deli food. Their curry chicken salad is delicious, and I have a slight addiction to their 7 layer bar. If you want to get lunch there, show up early or late, because a line forms quickly. This is also a great place to buy fresh bread and pies.

My husband and I come here every single Saturday to get a Cinnamon roll latte in a mug with whipped cream. Holy goodness! This is my favorite place in the world. Whether I come to blog and sip my delicious latte or to grab a bite to eat with a group of friends, this is such a warm atmosphere that I love so much. Thank you Merridees.

Freshest bread ever on the French Dip sandwich made all the difference. Absolutely wonderful. We slipped in just before closing and the staff still delivered friendly service. We didn t feel rushed at all and they even encouraged us to take the time to have dessert.

First time here. Absolutely fantastic. I had chicken soup in a bread bowl and it was soo yummy! I also got a cinnamon roll, it was very soft and the icing wasn't too sweet either. Highly recommend you go here

We missed breakfast so we ordered the quiche & they were almost out of that too. Lots of yummy looking pastries. You stand in line, then order food, are given a number & then you look for a table. I'd go back for bread or pastries but not for lunch.

I have always loved this place. I used to come here as a teenager with people I love and now I come here with my mom whom I love. Great chicken salad and great desserts. Super busy though..

Simply amazing place! Felt like we were back in time. Everyone was super friendly and the vibe was so chill. Cappuccino rivals the best coffee house in Italy. The pastries were scrumptious. This is a must visit place if you're in Nashville. Franklin is a wonderful snapshot of Americana.

Really friendly staff who knows what's best. I was recommended their cinnamon roll and was thrilled with how soft it was and how creamy the frosting tasted. Definitely worth the stop, and the prices are quite reasonable.

One of my favorites in downtown Franklin. Everything is delicious and fresh, but some of my favorites are the salmon wrap, spinach salad and the key lime pie! The chicken pot pie is also yummy! The line may be long, but the food makes it worth it. Also, don't forget to check out the bread loaves + discount pastries while waiting in line!!

I was not at all impressed - took them legit like 15 minutes to make 2 shots of espresso and they didn't have any of the additional ingredients that I wanted. Maybe their other products are decent, but I was none too happy with my experience.

Good sandwiches, great pastries and good looking selection of coffee and tea! A chill place to meet with family, friends or to listen to your latest podcast. Always a good meeting place when you are in the Nashville area!

Quiche is very delicious. Fruit Tea did not impress me. Good place to grab breakfast for small groups or a couple. I will return for the atmosphere and location, but the place seems understaffed every time I visit. If you need something quick, this is not the place.

Just average food. The reuben was tasty but skimpy. Lots of sauerkraut, little meat. Just a bag of chips to accompany. That's $8.95! A bit expensive for a skimpy sandwich. The portobello sandwich was even worse. You should bring a magnifying glass to find the mushroom! And, it didn't even have the chips. The last one, egg salad was ordered but chicken salad was delivered. No time to reorder so stuck with the wrong food. Overall, disappointing. This meal was paid for by a friend so it's hard to review. Not her fault but I have to be honest!

Nice place is the lovely town of Franklin, It is also open in the evening but I have only been for lunch. The food and coffee are decent the staff pleasant. The Curry Chicken sandwich is my favorite. The bakery items are very good.

A quaint, homey, fairly noisey establishment in downtown Franklin. It has a well established clientele with a good mix of tourists! Food is always good, plenty to drink, both hot and cold. Of course, the backery is always a temptation and it is always good!

Yes! Just...YES!!! Wish I could take a pecan pie home with me but we're flying and I dont want to deal with it. We ate omelet my way, cinnamon twist, pecan roll, cookie... Got a cheesecake slice to go. Ahhhh wish we had time to stop by again. This is the one place I will always come back to when visiting nashville.
