The chicken salad sandwich was good but I found a piece of chicken with the bone in it. I did not like that. The piece of cake I got was delicious.
Meh. Food was mediocre, service was OK as long as your expectations are low. Ambience was crowded and noisy. Oh well....
Franklin is nice.
Excellent, quaint, local in historic downtown Franklin, TN restaurant; but ... quite pricy. Good menu selection. Best for lunch, not supper. Go before noon as they sell out items quickly.
I had a long wait for a take out between standing in line and waiting for irder, but it was totally worth it! Food is amazing so they are always busy,
Judging by how packed it was the day my family and I were there, I d say that this place is very popular. It is not a full service establishment. You have to order your food, get a number, and find a table. My husband and I decided to divide and conquer. He ordered our food while I scouted for a table. Our food came out pretty quickly, which was a pleasant surprise. We all enjoyed what we ordered. I would definitely go back if I m ever in the area again.
Never a bad experience and a perfect place to experience local life in Franklin. Get there early in the morning for breakfast to join the locals (the flavored coffee of the day is a MUST) and order the sausage and gravy biscuits. If you're having lunch, you can't go wrong with the Apple Bacon Panini or the Monte Cristo with fruit tea.
Their coffee is excellent!! I love the atmosphere! Their fruit cup was very fresh and the ham, egg, cheese biscuit was 10/10!
Great, fresh food! Loved the live music. Great atmosphere.
I usually love this and come here every couple of weeks for a breakfast meeting. Service is usually good. I decided to bring the fam one evening for dessert and coffee drinks. It wasn t busy at all and it looked like the staff was adequate. We got our pastries right away but it took about 20 min to get coffee drinks. Service was not friendly and we had to approach an employee to actually remind them to make our drinks. I m not a whiner by any stretch of the imagination but this just felt wrong. Unfortunately, we won t be coming back for dessert any time soon. It s a bummer because I love supporting local but local should be doing better.
Went in to order takeout. Two girls behind the order counter had no masks. Cook in the kitchen had his mask down below his chin. One server had her mask down below her nose. Someone's eat-in order sat on the pick-up counter for at least 15 minutes, and I saw several servers pick up the plates on it, trying to figure out who it belonged to. I left without claiming my food because the more I saw, the more I was grossed out and figured I wouldn't eat the food when I got it home anyway. This was actually the first time we've gone there to order carry-out. Have ordered cakes before, and they have been very good. But, after seeing the way they are managing sanitation during the pandemic, it makes me wonder how they manage during normal operations.
Delicious food...keep your eyes peeled. You never know what celebrity you ll see in there!
Huge piece of Civil War history. 10,000 troops died during the battle over the period of a few hours. Very sobering to hear the story.
Decent bakery and popular for breakfast. Other food offerings are sub-par at best. Mediocre coffee drinks too.
Everything is delicious but our service took entirely too long.
This place is such a gem. A friend recommended it to me. Merridee's offers a cozy dining area and the service there is excellent. I ordered Key Lime pie for myself and grabbed a bag of cookies for my co-workers. We have all agreed that these are some of the best desserts we've had. Thanks for being exceptional Merridee's!
What a GEM! This place is packed with locals, for good reason. Awesome food, fast and friendly service. Leave with some baked goods for a sweet treat later!
Lovely little place, good food, and wonderful desserts and pastries.
Amazing food with a cozy, relaxing vibe that comforts.
Great, local bakery. They also have sandwiches (hot or cold) with salads.
Charming downtown location. Friendly staff. Tasty selections. Lots of freshly made dessert options. Very small portions of everything other than bread. Pickles not included with platters or sandwiches, but available for extra fee. Always crowded. Sometimes difficult to get a table. Excellent place for carb-loving runners.
Food is amazing, staff is friendly and helpful and the live music is wonderful! !!
Great bakery. Awesome breakfast food the best hash brown casserole. I must.go when visiting Franklin
I honestly don't know how anyone could NOT love this place & everything about it. The old fashioned cinnamon rolls are so amazing. The bacon, egg & cheese sandwiches--YUM! The coffee is even good. Atmosphere is perfect & staff is always super friendly, despite the growing line behind my chaotic family. We bring all out-of-town guests here for breakfast to show it off.
Wow, wow, wow. My only regret was not being able to try everything. I ll be working my way through this incredible menu on future visits with my girlfriend. We became instant fanatics. My party of three had Philly Cheese Steak, Quiche, Curry Chicken Salad, Pecan Pie, and Molasses Cookies.
Great taste, great atmosphere, great value*. Service with a smile.
*Seriously, great value. My own meal was a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich, hot, about 10 inches long and sliced in half, on fresh homemade bread (I think). $8.59. After seeing that, I didn t even bother checking the prices on my slice of Pecan Pie (large slice, absolutely delicious and homemade) and the bottled Root Beer I ordered. I knew it was gonna be reasonable. Whole thing was $16. Name another place you can get a scratch-made premium hot sandwich, homemade dessert, and a drink for $16 in Franklin TN. I ll wait.
It s been 5 hours and I m still full! EAT HERE
Good chicken salad sandwich. But not best seating options and too busy on other days.
Food was tasty but the pot roast with collards and mac cheese was very cold. Cold mac cheese? Not good.
This is honestly one of those places you have to go to in downtown Franklin. A historic bakery, the place offers pies and deli food. Their curry chicken salad is delicious, and I have a slight addiction to their 7 layer bar. If you want to get lunch there, show up early or late, because a line forms quickly. This is also a great place to buy fresh bread and pies.
The atmosphere is light and the service is quick. The prices for coffee and hot chocolate are much lower than Frothy Monkey or Starbucks and the food is good. I will be visiting again!
My husband and I come here every single Saturday to get a Cinnamon roll latte in a mug with whipped cream. Holy goodness! This is my favorite place in the world. Whether I come to blog and sip my delicious latte or to grab a bite to eat with a group of friends, this is such a warm atmosphere that I love so much. Thank you Merridees.
Viking bread is out of this world! Freindly helpful staff! Have been eating here for 20 years and never disappointed!
Always excellent. Great food, but get there early. It can get crowded
My favorite Downtown Franklin breakfast and coffee hang. Pastries, biscuits, cookies, pies...just pick something and enjoy.
Freshest bread ever on the French Dip sandwich made all the difference. Absolutely wonderful. We slipped in just before closing and the staff still delivered friendly service. We didn t feel rushed at all and they even encouraged us to take the time to have dessert.
First time here. Absolutely fantastic. I had chicken soup in a bread bowl and it was soo yummy! I also got a cinnamon roll, it was very soft and the icing wasn't too sweet either. Highly recommend you go here
We missed breakfast so we ordered the quiche & they were almost out of that too. Lots of yummy looking pastries. You stand in line, then order food, are given a number & then you look for a table. I'd go back for bread or pastries but not for lunch.
The egg salad was really bad. Tasted likel pickle juice. It used to be fabulous please change back!
I have always loved this place. I used to come here as a teenager with people I love and now I come here with my mom whom I love. Great chicken salad and great desserts. Super busy though..
Super cute place with delicious chicken salad and pie
Simply amazing place! Felt like we were back in time. Everyone was super friendly and the vibe was so chill. Cappuccino rivals the best coffee house in Italy. The pastries were scrumptious. This is a must visit place if you're in Nashville. Franklin is a wonderful snapshot of Americana.
Lovely sandwiches and a peanut butter pie to die for.
Cant say enough good about this place. Good food, great service.
Great place!! Sandwiches and desserts are supper yummy!! I got the pastrami, my hubby got the salmon wrap and both were amazing!! And Saturday open mic was also really great! A must layer back place to check out;)
Very cute breakfast or lunch spot. Cozy atmosphere and great prices of sandwiches, soup, quiche, and pastries
Food was decent, service was SUPER slow. Waited half hour for 2 sandwiches and a biscuit, then another 15 minutes to wait for them to box it up to go since we had waited so long
Really friendly staff who knows what's best. I was recommended their cinnamon roll and was thrilled with how soft it was and how creamy the frosting tasted. Definitely worth the stop, and the prices are quite reasonable.
Great sandwiches and takeout bakery. Old Franklin vibe. Enjoy.
One of my favorites in downtown Franklin. Everything is delicious and fresh, but some of my favorites are the salmon wrap, spinach salad and the key lime pie! The chicken pot pie is also yummy! The line may be long, but the food makes it worth it. Also, don't forget to check out the bread loaves + discount pastries while waiting in line!!
Nothing i have eaten at Merridee's had been underpar... excellent food and dining experience in Franklin Tn
This is my absolute FAVORITE place to go!!We live about 2 and half hours away and i make the drive as often as possible for their delicious food! The peanut butter brownies are the best i have EVER had! I eat them so much that my husband is buying me an entire pan of them for my birthday this year Best Gift Ever The staff is always so sweet and helpful!
I was not at all impressed - took them legit like 15 minutes to make 2 shots of espresso and they didn't have any of the additional ingredients that I wanted. Maybe their other products are decent, but I was none too happy with my experience.
Love been going here for years there chicken salad is the best
The best french toast I've ever had. Customer service was excellent. We will definitely be back to visit again soon!
Such amazing coffee, pie, and atmosphere. Super cute and it really made it visit to Franklin special
Good bfast place in the morning. Not busy on a Thursday morning. French toast was good and very thick.
Great place. Easily accommodated our group of nine.
Great breakfast place in downtown Franklin. Got an omlete and the cinnamon twist (I thinks that's what they called it) was delicious
Very unique. Great place for lunch. Lots of speciality desserts. Love this town. Would love to live here.
Good sandwiches, great pastries and good looking selection of coffee and tea! A chill place to meet with family, friends or to listen to your latest podcast.
Always a good meeting place when you are in the Nashville area!
Always good. Great staff, yummy pasteries, delicious coffee, and the pies are perfect. Great place for a Saturday breakfast, or brunch during your Franklin stroll.
Quiche is very delicious. Fruit Tea did not impress me. Good place to grab breakfast for small groups or a couple. I will return for the atmosphere and location, but the place seems understaffed every time I visit. If you need something quick, this is not the place.
Just average food. The reuben was tasty but skimpy. Lots of sauerkraut, little meat. Just a bag of chips to accompany. That's $8.95! A bit expensive for a skimpy sandwich. The portobello sandwich was even worse. You should bring a magnifying glass to find the mushroom! And, it didn't even have the chips. The last one, egg salad was ordered but chicken salad was delivered. No time to reorder so stuck with the wrong food. Overall, disappointing. This meal was paid for by a friend so it's hard to review. Not her fault but I have to be honest!
Great chicken salad crossiant. Great sweets to I love this place
Cute place, but out of many items and slow service due to the kids running the place, goofing off
Nice place is the lovely town of Franklin, It is also open in the evening but I have only been for lunch. The food and coffee are decent the staff pleasant. The Curry Chicken sandwich is my favorite. The bakery items are very good.
A quaint, homey, fairly noisey establishment in downtown Franklin. It has a well established clientele with a good mix of tourists! Food is always good, plenty to drink, both hot and cold. Of course, the backery is always a temptation and it is always good!
Good friendly vibe, nice menu selections and Great Baked Goods..Sweet or Savory, you can't miss.
This place is a must go in Franklin. Everything is just yummy. And if they ask if you want viking bread, always say yes.
Yes! Just...YES!!! Wish I could take a pecan pie home with me but we're flying and I dont want to deal with it.
We ate omelet my way, cinnamon twist, pecan roll, cookie... Got a cheesecake slice to go. Ahhhh wish we had time to stop by again. This is the one place I will always come back to when visiting nashville.
