Unbeatable Burgers, Dogs, Tots and Fries!
Mercury has a funky diner feel inside and ample seating outside. The menu is stocked with burgers, dogs, sandwiches and sides. Get a deliciously made classic burger or try the Toper, Southwestern, or other variety of mouth watering takes on a gourmet burger. Overall, our service was friendly and efficient.
I ordered the Southwestern budget with a side of tots. The burger was excellent but on a return visit I would try something else from the menu since it all sounded good. I ordered plain tots which were excellent! (Don't expect to find things for those planning to "eat light"). The poutine tots were also well reviewed by our group.
Overall, a great place!

The burgers are excellent! Beef was juicy and flavorful, buns and toppings were fresh, and the bacon on my burger was grilled to perfection. They have a good beer selection, I had a Michigan microbrewery stout, and they had at least one beer for just about anybody.

We ate here outside in the cold, because of the Covid pandemic. The staff appeared to be following safety protocols, which was comforting. The patio was nice at night, fenced in securely, the firepit was nice and warm. Waitstaff kept the fire going while we were their.

Support local businesses, be sure to get takeout here if its too cold for you. Worth the trip.

Hubby loves the hamburgers. I ordered fish extremely greasy and need a bartender who knows how to make drinks

If you're looking for a quick crafty burgerfied-munch while slinking the D, this is your locale. I'd consider myself a burger boy, I've been to a lot bud, and when I say this place gave me one of the best pieces of grounded up bovine I've ever digested, I ain't kidding kid. I sent for the "Southwest Detroit" burg, and oh nelly did she give me a tastin'. The chorizo and burg meat were seasoned to utter perfection, the bun lightly toasted, the toppings fresh and crisp. I had a side of poutine (fries topped with gravy and cheese curds) it was heavenly. The service was incredibly fast with much seating inside, down, and out. They even have their own firepit. Beer on tap from many local breweries too. Overall a grand spankin lip smackin experience.

We enjoyed a burger and salad along with a Czech beer on draft for lunch. The California Turkey burger had loads of fresh toppings and the meat itself was really nicely seasoned. Everything was excellent!

Burgers, hot dogs, fries, onion rings, tater tots and shakes were absolutely fantastic! Service was also excellent! Cannot wait to come back!

The poutine really wasn't as great as everyone led on, I've had better from a food truck. I can't attest to anything else but the owner/server Jeff kind of had this air of arrogance and I didn't like it. Plus he kept asking if I was going to order more, very pressuring. I don't think I'd visit again anytime soon.

I've only been three times total, and the food has been great each time, but service definitely varies. My bf and I watched four tables filled, passed waters and their order taken before anyone past the hostess who seated us even acknowledged us. Once we were greeted it was all pleasant but it was definitely frustrating.

Went with a group of 8 with a reservation. Great food, good service and many of us enjoyed the shakes! Good for a casual work lunch

Ohhhh my gosh! Yes this place is worth the drive down there. Cheeseburger was fantastic... perfectly cooked. Buffalo tater tots? So good! There was a wait for a table but we got great service at the bar immediately for drinks and food! I plan to take my daughter as it is appropriate for kids as well!

Mercury Burger Bar is one of few places that I have a go-to, because their black bean burger is just so good. The other burgers are great too, but if you like vegetarian fare, you may know that a veggie burger that is *actually good* is hard to come by. Also it comes with avocado on it. Their outdoor seating is wonderful in the warm months, with long tables that are great for accommodating groups. If you've got a sweet tooth, check out the milkshakes, they won't disappoint.

Great atmostphere. Amazing food. Large beer options. It's small so you will wait for at least 20 minutes on the weekend. Do yourself a favor and call ahead, if you can. Would go again.

Ordered the classic burger with a side fries. It was pretty good. Location is awesome being that it's in Corktown.

Rudeness. Servers in the service industry have a tough job. I have worked in restaurants and I respect the balance that they need between being efficient and being friendly. However, I never need to be yelled at for asking questions. Especially when a simple drink order takes over a half hour in a mostly empty place. There are probably many nice things at Mercury Bar, but all I remember is how rude the one guy behind the bar was to me. He yelled at me and a nice older lady who came up to the bar because we had not seen our waitress for a while and just wanted to know the status. No apology, nope. Just angry words, go back to your table.

Milkshakes were pretty good. However it took over an hour for them to come out and they weren't busy.

I love the mushroom/swiss burger...and my son loves their cheeseburgers, fries and the vanilla milkshakes. Yummy!!

Great atmosphere and beer selection. Had a nyny burger and it was delicious. Try their adult milkshakes. Decent vegetarian and vegan choices as well!

Mercury Burger & Bar strikes me as being a classic place. Their selection of burgers is pretty well rounded, though I wasn't terribly impressed by the beers they had on tap. The service was good, as was the food. Their tater tots are tasty.

It's not an upscale experience; the decor is akin to that of an old-time diner. If the first floor is filled, you can find seating in the basement. It's all pretty cool. I would recommend this restaurant for after a baseball or football game. It's located in the Corktown area of Detroit, where you have a number of options, if this place is too packed.

It was my first visit, I really enjoyed their Juicy burger, it was amazing. Tried their garlic fries too, however I was expecting garlic butter and not grated garlic. But that's my preference, it was not bad at all.

Located in corktown and has convenient parking near the old train station. Service is always spot on and food always comes quickly, even if they are slammed with people. Staff is friendly and will conversate if you talk to them. Lots of places to sit with colorful murals on the walls.

The food is really good. They offer a wide selection of bar food including burgers, fries, shakes, hot dogs, etc. The burgers are cooked to your desire, I usually order the classic medium rare with pickled carrots. The boston cooler is a great dessert.

Honestly this place is great. Prices are fair but can get expensive sometimes. It is definitely worth trying at least once though.

Fantastic atmosphere and the food to Match!!!! Can't wait to go back and try some more of the menu goodies. FYI you can park on the street along the Old Train Station, but it was easier to pay the $3 and park in the community lot right behind the bar.

Foods pretty good. The employees are a bit pompous and airheaded, which reflects on the inattentive and lazy service you often get here, especially during the day/less busy hours. Awesome location, building, and decor, though. Id still recommend this place.

Small burger joint that offers a wide variety of reasons to stop in again and again. Plan on going back to try out a different meal as soon as I can. Poutine fries were like a home cooked Thanksgiving meal, warm and savory enough to put you in a food coma.

It was OCT 6. So nice out we sat on the patio! I had the tatter tots poutine (made with real curds) and thr tachos... Both amazing. Also ate thd Onion Burger. Food was fast and fresh. No complaints! Plenty of nearby parking

We were going on the Corktown tour and needed lunch so we stopped in and we were so glad we did. If you love tater tots, this is your place! Clean, affordable and great tasting food-what more could you want.? Maybe a great beer! I highly recommended this place. Must try. must visit.
