We go here quite often. They don't take cards, cash is the king, but other than that only praise. Bring your own bottle and they'll have a corkscrew on a counter. Greek food always good and inexpensive, seating inside or outside.
Love it love it love it I have 2 fav n I'm always end up getting both. Chicken Souvlaki & Shaorma with tzatziki source
Best dinner spot around romantic and casual. Byob great experience every time!
Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Brought our own wine. Lots of vegetarian choices.
Great casual dining for Mediterranean cuisine. Food is delicious. Can be busy with limited seating space during peak hours. It's mostly self service. One thing to note is that it's cash only. But it's a great place to visit for some tasty Mediterranean food.
New owner. Still great value and food. Emphasis on local products. Can't beat it.
Awesomely delicious "mostly Greek" food served fast in a casual outdoor cafe seating. Bonus BYOB no corkage fee. Forgot your bottle? No problem. Oliver's next door has a good selection of wine and cold beers.
This place has a license to print money. Always packed. BYOB and grab a table if you can find one.
Great food, and BYOB with a nice wine shop right next door. They have the best baklava I've ever had!
Great healthy Greek food. We always look forward to coming here whenever we're in the Kahala area. The food does take some time to get made, so call in your order before heading out there.
Awesome Greek place with an established feel. You can tell they found the secret recipe to success and have stuck to it. The prices are great and the staff is upbeat and helpful. Ordering at the counter gives the place a low key, easy going vibe. It was busy when I went and I asked if anyone would mind if I joined them. The lady taking my order knew the regulars well enough to point me to a jovial Lebanese man who I engaged in a hilarious conversation with over a plate of Chicken Saffron. Also, did I mention they have the greatest baklava I ve ever had!?! Amazing, don t miss out on this place.
Olive Tree is a nice "little" place hidden on the side of the Kahala Mall. It's a BYOB restaurant that has a small wine shop on the side. Unless you're sure that they have what you want, bring something you'll like. Olive Tree has a short menu that's tailored to sharing from 5 or 6 apps and about the same amount of entrees. Remember to bring "cash" because they don't take cards and there's an ATM somewhere in or near the Mall, if you want to go searching.
It's busy! But worth the wait. The lamb was good and tender.
You have to byob and stand in line to order and pick up your food...but it is worth the inconvenience. The food is delicious and the prices are very resonable!
I love Olive Tree. It's an outdoor Byob and the food is fabulous every single time. The staff treat you like family. Get there early parking and seating is limited because of us regulars.
Great price points and possibly the best hummus I've ever had. Will definitely be returning.
Amazing, fresh. best greek place hands down. Love the wine bar next to it, you can buy your own bottle and bring it to the restaurant.
Great food, may be tough to get a table but worth it. BYOB with a their own wine shop next with a pretty good selection. It's always busy cuz it's good.
Note: cash only! There is an atm nearby at bank of Hawaii. I got the chicken souvlaki and it was delicious (as you can tell from my empty plate). Indoor and outdoor seating. Minimal menu, but every on it is done well!
The food is fresh and tasty. But, always crowded and portions are slightly small.
The food is great. Check out their specials too. You pay when the good is ready and it's cash only. Seating is limited, so I wouldn't recommend for a group larger than 4.
Olive Tree has the best Greek food on the Island, chicken salvaki, lamb salvaki and hummus with extra pit bread. They are really busy, whether you dine in or get takeout,2 lines order and pickup. The only negative is other customers can be rude and cut in front of you while you are waiting for your take out, they only take cash or personal check. But food is worth the comedy you may witness with other customers.
Great food and ambiance. I come back for the falafel again and again...
Honestly I don't know why this place is so popular. I met a friend there because she lives in the neighborhood. She ordered the fish special. The fish was so tough that she couldn't even eat it. When she took it back the woman at the counter was not helpful in offering her another entree. She opted for a plate of dolmas with tzatziki sauce. The Dolmas Plate was 1/3 the price of the entree, but they didn't offer her anything else, maybe a desert? Maybe a Feta Plate? I don't know... Something else, but no, nothing. I had a falafel which was quite boring with a simple overdressed slightly limp side salad.
IF the location accepted credit cards, it would be more helpful to customers.
Easily the best Greek food I've had in quite some time!
One of my favorite places to eat! Get there early for seats. BYOB or wine, they provide wine glasses and wine openers, wine store next door with limited selection if need. Parking is limited so again get there early. Favorite must try's: Fish Souvlaki, Dolmadakia, and Mussel Ceviche.
Delicious Greek food made with fresh, high quality ingredients at very reasonable prices served with real cutlery and crockery! Savas, the owner, is a legend. Can't recommend this place highly enough.
I have been coming here for many, many years and the quality has always been excellent. I also love that you get legitimate Greek food here versus the more common descriptor of Mediterranean food.
The souvlaki has been my favorite for a long time and it would be a toss up between the chicken, lamb, or fish. The falafel is also a great choice. Really, you can't go wrong with their menu.
Best damn Greek food on the island in beautiful kahala
Great taste but small portions- especially for the price
Favourite Greek restaurant in Honolulu. The very best spanakopita!!!!
I had the soup and Greek salad and it was divine!!!
Usually super chill but current crop of staff lacking any Hawaiians. They need to adress that to envision the T&S brand.
The BEST Greek food on the island, period. They don't take credit cards though, so bring cash or checks.
Great Mediterranean eats. Simple, fast, terrific! Great value!
Pretty good Greek food, small portion size, busy as hell
The best baklava ever! BYOB, liquor store next door that had the same hours as restaurant! Good selection and fair pricing.
Ordered takeout then off to see the fireworks on a Friday night .
BYOB, cash only, very busy, order and find a table. This is my favorite Greek restaurant in Honolulu. The price is lower than they should charge, the wine store next door is convenient, and the Baklava! Make sure you ask to have your piece set aside when you order.
Have been to this place so many times and had never disappointed. BYOW or just pick up a bottle next door.
Really good food!! Light but very filling, great Greek flavors! And extremely friendly and welcoming staff.
Very rich. The delicious entrees, the lamb, chicken and fish soooo rich. They sell Ginger Beer, which is also highly recommended. Next door they sell wine, in case you want to buy a bottle and have dinner there. They only accept cash. Excellent choice of Greek food.
Decent quality Greek food but it is expensive for the quality and serving size. This becomes really apparent when you order the humus or boba ganoush. The smallest serving size I think I've ever gotten. The place however would be great for a BYOB gatherings but could use trays for large orders.
Really good food. I got the Sunday special. And the Mango juice is nice there.
This place has some of the best Greek food I've ever had. It is small though and as such has limited seating, and only takes cash/local checks.
Always worth the wait. I'm a 20 year vet of this place!
Small but friendly atmosphere, good tasting plates.
Great environment and wonderful food. Grab a bottle of wine next door and enjoy it with your food.
Greek restaurant! BYOB reasonable. Of course the food is also delicious
Great food! Don't forget they only take cash or check.
I get the lamb slovaki every single time. Always the same, always good.
Good falafel, good gyro, and man the pita is delicious. Kind of slow service though.
Always easy and inexpensive delicious greek food when you need it. Pretty delicious and still BYOB.
We had Greek salad and the main photo. If you explain what you want to eat when you place an order, we will recommend you from today's menu. Everything was very delicious. Although it was self-service, I enjoyed it at a table outside in a homey atmosphere.
A nice, tasty and healthy Greek, Mediterranean restaurant. They have been a popular part of Kahala for a long time...because they're really good. Be prepared to "kick back" family style and you can even byob from the store next door.
There is a parking lot next to Kahala Mall. It is casual dining. At PM5 on Saturday, I entered about half of the customers. It is a popular Greek restaurant. There are many takeaways. There are a few tables and many terrace seats in the room.
A friend recommended this place and I decided to check it out. I stood at the "order here" counter and waited, and waited and waited, and was never acknowledged. I was dressed nice, recently showered, jewelry, makeup, etc. I walked in and the man (cashier) behind the counter didnt bat an eye my way or greet me with so much as a smile.
I waited patiently at the "Order Here" counter while he helped a person picking up their food at rheb"Pay Here" counter thinking ok, I'm next, and then they left and he still didnt speak to me. There was no one else who needed help for a few minutes. Still ignoring me. More people came up to pay and I'm still standing there and he helps them, so I said screw this place. And I left. I'll take my money elsewhere.
We come to Hawaii every year and this is by far our favorite place to eat! The quality has not changed in 10 years. I highly recommend you try it!! Get there early as they have a wait after 6pm. Yummy!!
My favorite Greek place on the entire island.Love the mussels and caviar.
I frequent this place once every 2-3 weeks and it is always filled with people, even right when they open at 5pm! Awesome food, cannot say this enough.
The food is always consistent here. Great flavor and awesome to enjoy an evening with friends. Oh, the best part is BYOB! What can be wrong about this. Oppaaa!!!!
Fantastic food! It wasn't too busy when we went on Saturday evening (Around 8pm). Good vibes and will definitely return for the tasty food!
the best bistro in Honolulu
with the legendary Ouzomisu (tiramisu)
This was a delicious experience super busy, but staff does a great job turning over tables. Food was great staff was super friendly
Delicious but understandably overpriced considering they are pretty much the only restaurant in their category. Don t become the victim of the baklava up sell when picking up and paying for take out food at closing especially when their is a quarter sheet pans worth left. Supposedly their are other customers that would pay for it at closing time after asking what they plan on doing with the remaining.
Remember CASH ONLY!
Love this place. We come several times during every visit to Oahu. Fun time and great food. Note that it is cash only and does not serve alcohol. You can bring your own or buy some next door at the wine store.
Great place to visit with friends. Simple menu and byob and glasses. There is a small charge for a wine glass.
Absolute hidden gem! Everything on the menu is top quality.
Very nice. However, parking is always a problem there.
I have been eating here for 20 years and the quality is ALWAYS top notch. This place is a treasure.
Love their Greek Salad with extra Feta cheese. Always order to go.
Mostly Greek Food, Simple menu, tasty dishes and friendly staff. The charming Cafe is perched on an unassuming corner away from the bustle of downtown. All transactions are cash.
Delicious but a little expensive.
Since it is BYOB, wine and beer can be obtained at the next liquor store, but if you rent a glass at the olive tree, you will get 50 cents, so it seems like it's secrete, but you might want to go by yourself.
As for the service, don't expect it because it is like a fast food service.
