I bought my first Mercedes Benz from Gary Childers...

I bought my first Mercedes Benz from Gary Childers in 1978. He worked for Beck Mercedes then, which was before Mercedes Benz of South Charlotte opened. I can t even count how many Mercedes I have bought from Gary since then. He is a total gentleman, and a total professional. If he tells you he will do something, you can take it to the bank . Gary, and Mercedes Benz of South Charlotte, and the Mercedes Benz vehicles, are all at the top of the class. I have owned the other German luxury brand in the past, too. While that other brand is admittedly stylish, the reliability of the vehicle does not measure up to my experience with Mercedes. The service dept., finance dept., and the entire staff at MB of South Charlotte are, without exception, in my experience always courteous and customer focused. Visiting the dealership to buy a car, or for service, is invariably a pleasant experience. How many car dealerships can you say that about?

My cousin bought a car from Mr. Meriwether last year. When I told him I was in the market he said I had to come and speak with his salesperson, as he was the best in his field of work. He sure didn't not exaggerate. I came in and told him what it was that I was looking for, my budget and he did all the rest. Was very patient and worked diligently to make things work out. Today I am a new car owner and I will be recommending Michael to others when in search of a new car.

This dealership is unbelievable, beginning at the ...

This dealership is unbelievable, beginning at the top with Mr. Tom Marcham, the General Manager. He called my recent concerns "ignorant" and accused me of "wanting something for nothing". Told me to "go elsewhere" and was "unable to do anything" to resolve my concerns. (Make that "unwilling". He made it VERY clear that HE was the top and made ALL the decisions.) Am still in shock at how rudely a General Manager addressed a customer. His New Car Sales Manager, Georgia Buys & Finance Manager, Marc Bartalini have his same defensive, rude, unhelpful, uncaring attitude. Both have actually been untruthful in their comments to me, which Mr. Marcham totally disregarded. The Service Department has gone through several manager changes in the past 2 1/2 years. I personally have had 4 or 5 different assigned advisors due to personnel "issues". The last one I had was most unhelpful (Paul Newman). I have two other friends that have experienced the same issues at this dealership, so in order to have a positive Mercedes experience, I recommend looking elsewhere. We purchased TWO brand new 2014 cars, and Mr. Marcham said he has "plenty of happy customers" and obviously has zero interest in me being one of them, despite that fact. He said that I was "unable to be pleased", but Mercedes Benz of Jacksonville, FL and Atlanta, GA were both a pleasure to work with when needing recent service. Be sure to read the reviews that do NOT come from his website. Mr. Marcham states that "ALL of his reviews" are "WONDERFUL". NOT. With the exception of the concierge folks and the courtesy shuttle drivers, customer service ends, once your name is on the dotted line.

Horrible customer service and slacking job on the ...

Horrible customer service and slacking job on the mechanics. Brought my work truck (where I bought the truck also) to get serviced 2 times for the same DEF problem and all they want to do is charge a diagnostics fee each time and tell me if it happens again bring it back. I don't have to time nor the money to have Frank tell me, to bring it back down again if it has the same problem. Told me DEF is suppose to last 10k miles and it's been day 2 and my DEF light and check engine came back on. Better off finding a dealership that will actually help and not just bull me around

I m late in posting this review. I ve now had two very good experiences with MBOSC. Once when buying a used car and most recently when my MB GLE needed emergency service over the 2019 Christmas holiday week. Adam Putnam in the service department did an amazing job diagnosing the water intrusion issue and was very helpful getting my car finished and returned to me under a pretty tight timeframe since I was visiting from out of town. He kept me updated and informed at every turn. I m very impressed with everyone at this dealership. Thank You!

I love Mercedes Benz of South Charlotte! The customer service is outstanding! Adam Fleshman is my service consultant and he always makes sure all my car needs are met! He is always respectful and makes me feel welcomed! He is very engaged with his customers! Adam is a huge asset to the Mercedes Benz team! Also, I decided to upgrade my Vehicle in August and was helped by Darius Brown! Darius is an amazing sales consultant! He went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase! Bought a $130,000 car, the finance guy tells my wife with 2 extra packages (one for tires, one for maintenance) that she will not ever have to pay for anything if she brings the car in. 10 months and 12,000 miles later brake light is on. Brings car in, told it will be around $1,500 for brakes and $1,500 for tires. Now they say that they aren t covered by the several thousand dollars in extra plans she paid for.

It completely amazes me that a business, especially a Mercedes dealership, will try and screw you over to make a tiny bit extra profit when you pay that much for a car. Especially since Mercedes owners are generally repeat buyers.

I guess she Should have read and try to understand all that fine print But I thought Mercedes me was better than that

My service advisor Adam Fleshman was able to get the damage to my tires and rims covered under the wheel and tire warranty. Now my car is right back to brand new and feels GREAT to drive again. It took some time at the dealership but he kept me updated the whole time! They have a work area setup for customers so I was able to work while I waited! Brilliant!

Very happy with my experience and will definitely continue to come back for service and future purchases. We greatly appreciated John coming in on his day off to show us the car we were interested in and making the experience simple and not an all day affair which is the most painful part of purchasing a car. I called yesterday for an appointment to get my transmission serviced I was hung up on twice transferred back and forth finally I get frustrated with the service department and made an appointment to go somewhere else I will never spend a dime in this place it's not the first time they were incompetent I need stuff for my AMG wheels they couldn't help me and directed me to Napa across the street which did help me this place is arrogant and full of themselves I don't know how they stay alive in open the way they treat people service where you can make a customer for life obviously they don't know these things I will not spend time in this place I will go somewhere else for service and sales

It has been almost a whole month since the purchase and he is still catering to all of needs and questions. He answers our phone calls even when it may not be convenient form him. I wish I could give zero stars but 1 will have to do. When I went to the service department I was told I needed close to 6k in repairs, I normally trust this dealership but wanted to get a 2nd opinion. Went to another Mercedes dealership farther north and was told only 1K in repairs needed to be done. I have since switched dealerships- but make sure you get a 2nd opinion as they are just trying to make money in the service dept.

I am always excited when I arrive at the MB of SC! There are wonderful people here and I ve been having my vehicles serviced here for years! I am even more pleased that Adam Fleshman is my new advisor! He is a young man that is on point! I ve known him for years in passing and he would always speak and carry conversation with me and that made me feel so good! Now we finally have an opportunity to work closer together! I ve seen the growth in this young man and I m recommending my boyfriend to MB of SC to get his vehicle serviced and we want Adam to be his Service Advisor too! It s a family affair now! Avoid this place at all costs. If you have an older car or smart car you're treated like a second class citizen. My service order had the complimentary wash on it and that wasn't done. I also noticed them putting down paper floor board mats in newer vehicles and mine did not receive the same attention even though my bill was $1184. They also charged extra diagnostics fee when I told them when I brought the car in about the gear shifter. This place swindles you out of money for really crappy service. My service adviser was great I had Debra Rushing but the techs here are garbage people for treating my car like it wasn't as important as everyone else's. Idc how much the car costs when I'm being charged the same hourly rate as everyone else. It's ridiculous. I will be contacting Mercedes as well.

Walked into the dealership to look at a Mercedes-Benz (just purchased a car and we did not look at a Mercedes-Benz, so we decided to check them out)and Janusz provide us with great service and we purchased the same day. The next day I returned and had a exceptional walk through of the car with Johnathan. We usually do not make major purchases without thinking about it for a while but the experience Information, and Janusz eagerness to assist and answer all of our questions helped seal the deal. I can definitely see myself getting another car in the future.

Jim Wetzel helped me purchase a new GLC 300 coupe, which had to be tracked down and brought from Kansas City in order to meet the specifications I requested. Jim was very knowledgable about the vehicle I was interested in. He was also very helpful in identifying discounts for which we qualified (USAA) and even helped us prepare the necessary paperwork. He was great to deal with in every way and made buying our new vehicle easier and more pleasant than I have ever experienced.

Bought two cars from there, and never had a good e...

Bought two cars from there, and never had a good experience from the service department (desk clarks, car handlers excluded, they ve been very nice n helpful) but service can never get anything fix, I worked with Bryan and the service manager who came talk to me was extremely rude today. Literally told me I bought the car from them and that is my problem and no longer their responsibly to fix what was wrong from the get-go. This second car is a CPO AMG C class. and promised to be covered under warranted I even bought all the extra maintenance package and extended warranted but when anything is wrong with the car they refuse to cover it. Thank you south Charlotte you have disappointed me enough times. And sadly drag the brand to the dirt for me. And yes I will file a complain to the general manager and maybe corporate office as well. I refuse to let people who treat their customers like this work for this brand without repercussion.
