They had almost no food and the beer was lukewarm. On a Friday night. Incredible.
An interesting overall concept, both from artificial / creative point of view, as well as culinary. Not only worth a visit, but also the tour and events are worth to attend.
Very nice but the changes that were done in the restaurant changed it to be not so accessible if you don't want to spend too much money and have still a nice view and vegan dinner. Yet, the food was amazing and the vibe too. Specially good for warm weather
From this location you can fish plastic. Useful and fun
Mediamatic is so much! Very special restaurant by means of the private Kas, with beautifully prepared food (and then I am not vegan!), But also a breeding ground for new things, such as an evening about 'bitters'. Very inspiring! I'm going to come here more often!
Great vegan place with a pizza oven and some of the best hummus in town. Some of their herbs come straight from their own greenhouse. There are also alternative boat tours called Lampedusa tours that start from here (that's how I found the place). Both I can highly recommend
Separate place in the city center of Amsterdam with a nice view
Worth the visit. Alternative food, drinks and media here.
Nice Quiz, special scents of the city of Amsterdam.
This is my favorite, Seasons by Ricardo Moya.
Mediametic is also on the Uitmarkt by the way.
Smelling, discussing, wondering which smell Amsterdam is going to get.
It was lovely! The view was great. The staff was lovely, very friendly. I m sure I ll be back
The location is beautiful, but the food isn't that great and the service is below par.
The food was served in small portions and with long waiting periods in between; because we were a large group (12p), the overall experience was not good.
I think it could be much beter with 2-4p, or if you visit for drinks only.
Loved the fact that you can reserve a small green house to dine in with your lover of friends. Especially with this pandemic going on. They did a great job in giving you a safe feeling. Dinner was also great. We had pairing with drinks. The combination of the food and the drinks was a journey. Definitely returning to Mediamatic.
Amazing place promoting a global balanced view of life and human impact on the environment. Many experimentations and exhibitions.
Awesome organisation with events almost every week with an focus on mixing arts et science. My favorites are the talks on the wednesday. The food of their restaurant is great too!
You cannot change the reservation and money back is not an option, you have to sell your 'tickets' yourself. Really ridiculous in corona times.
Mostly vegan but plenty to enjoy for all diets. Quirky and creative vibe with a waterfront location.
Delicious pizzas in the past. Yesterday was a shame. Bad part pizza Nero. Served on an ice-cold piece of stone. A nice English speaking waitress. It was of little use to you. Don't go there for the time being.
Great place but only serves vegan food, which in my taste is always a bit lacking
We arrived at this place quite by accident - the nearby pub we planned to attend was too busy. But I couldn't be happier we ended up at Mediamatic. There are several vegan bites, I plan to try next time. The drinks were great, friendly staff and the place is full of surprises: imagine having a coffee or a drink in a art conservatorium by the water. Plus: amazing view I'll be definitely coming back!
Cancellation policy makes no sense, even if they can exchange data in the event of illness indicated days in advance, they do not. They prefer you to get sick, at this time!
(E) Museum and reception impossible to find ... Depressing and bad. (D) "Conceptual" and fucked up.
Delicious eaten! Super service and beautiful location. Super tasty what you can make with vegetable ingredients!
The chef has a lot to offer here, can cook wonderfully with pure flavors.
I know Mediamatic mainly from stories, from the terrace at the Oosterdok and from the row of piss boxes, the urine of which is collected and used as food for the plants. The rest for me is exterior, but if all planters of the Dijkspark are maintained from here, then that is a very positive exterior.
Nice experience the food was disappointing and was very expensive
I organized here a party with about 50 people and the atmosphere and service were great! I definitely love the location, directly on the water and with a view of the Nemo museum. Also the people that helped us arranging the party were extremely kind and helpful. We had the party in the Haeckel room, which is a very original place that you don't find so easily. Overall, extremely happy about it and strongly recommend.
Always a different experience when eating here. New flavors, structures and a bigger perspective. Probably not for all but definitely something to give a try and see if you like it. Taste the flowers and the own made lemonades.
Great art and food. Very friendly, helpful staff and beautiful view across the water
Well it was a beautiful location, we said goodbye to my sister-in-law, so reason was less fun. But beautiful locations on the water for dinner and drinks
Nice alternative cafe and bar. Serve mostly organic stuff. Cafe/bar is in a greenhouse with an nice view on the water towards NEMO, the Maritime museum and Prins Hendrikkade. It's a bit hidden on Dijksgracht park but well worth the visit.
I had made a reservation through The Fork in May. Upon entering they turned out to no longer work with The Fork. The conversation I then had with the 'manager' was really too crazy for words. If you just tell me there is no place and you can't help us, too bad it went wrong but nothing to do. But she continuously tried to understand 'our problem'. She offered no further solution or excuse, we ran away from that. I never go here again, what ridiculously bad service.
Great food and beautiful location. Staff can pay a little more attention to the customers.
Great solution to pandemic dining. Delicious food and a nice selection of drinks.
Give yourself the chance to dine vegetarian and / or vegan. No doubtful snacks, the kitchen will surprise you with their delicious dishes. Try the sates.
I've felt very conflicted on whether to leave this review, but I had to be honest about my experience and was very disappointed by my dinner at Serres Separees. After being lucky enough to book in before the hype built up too much, I had my anniversary dinner in one of the little glass cabins. While the cabins themselves were very cute, the overall experience was not. At 50pp (excl drinks) you expect a certain level of service/food and what was provided did not add up. The website stated they could cater for all dietry requirements and despite emailing and calling to confirm I was gluten allergic, the first meal appeared with homemade bread (a major part of the meal). When I asked the chef it is was gluten free he said no and he would check if they had any. He never returned. Second course was aspargus, which was ok but nothing to write home about. Had to confirm that the 3rd course could be changed out from spaghetti to risotto for myself, which was served to my bf also who could eat spaghetti so I don't know why this was the case. It was alright, but quite small, which was disappointing as the previous courses had been bite size. Finally the dessert comes and its serve on a brownie. When I asked if its gluten free the waitress tells me no and it is taken away and the whole dish is re-served without the brownie component. Despite the dietary issue, and I don't leave reviews like this often but my boyfriend & I both agree it was just very underwhelming for 50pp.
Best place in town. If you like vegan food, art, cool workshops, sustainable and smart initiatives : this is the place. Enjoy!
Excellent staff and service, definetly worth coming if not for those then for the view
