I love this place the service is great and the rooms are beautiful.
Small rooms, no bathroom door or vent in bathroom. Hate how some hotels are going this way. Clean, nice staff.
great hotel and great locations - room service is awesome also
Very unpractical hotel. Nickel and dime you for everything. Forced valet parking and forced parking daily fees. So if you want to quickly slip into your car and leave or get something from your car, you can't! No Wifi or breakfast included. Fees Fees Fees for EVERYTHING. The front desk does not answer right away, you have to call MULTIPLE times to get a human to attend to your needs. But what absolutely made my stay awful was that I was given a room that did not have a working AC. I called, they sent someone to supposedly fix this thing. 30 minutes later, he still could not get this working. Finally I said, we are going to need another room. Keep in mind this was like at 12am. He said he will go downstairs to get the keyes to a new room. 30 minutes later, I finally called to check on the status. He finally came up and moved us. We were so tired, unpacked and extremely inconvenient to do this at like 1am. So when I checked out I asked the manager on duty Olivia that as a courtesy to waive the $45 worth of parking and valet fees because of the inconvenience. She looked at me as if I was asking for her first born and said NO! Those charges are mandatory. I asked is there any compensation for the experience I had to deal with? Answer? NOPE! Save your money, try the Aloft, Hyatt, or anything else. This hotel is not worth the money.
Incredibly lavish hotel, very easy to navigate, and friendly staff.
Incredible attention to detail. Outstanding in every way.
Beautiful hotel with a couple good bars and a good restaurant on the 2nd floor.
Thank you for rescuing the parrots on the 22nd floor during the storm! You guys are amazing! If ever in the area this is the place I will stay! Thank you!
The hotel is nice and technological. Didn't like the bed as it was soft and lumpy need to bed turned. Found an empty coke bottle behind the bed from the previous guess. No hand rail in the bathroom and it wash slippery.
Didn't actually stay there went for a job fair but the hotel seems very high tech and beautiful and they have a in house restaurant on the 2nd floor called whitney's it look very intriguing i would definitely like to go back try their food and it's conveniently right next to the datran station
I attended a social event and the service as well as the staff were amicable and very helpful.
Very nice place, centrally located. Parking is an issue.
Worst customer service ever...almost like nobody got the memo.
Welcoming, stylish, nice ambience, good food & service. Rooms are nice size and decor minimalist comfortable furnishings, minimum storage for 2 people, 3/4 day stay. Close to publix, restaurants and malls. Airport 25mins away.
Always a great experience. Excellent rooms. Excellent service
Only if you get the "Design" room. Otherwise don't stay here. Regular rooms are HORRIBLE.
Went for a celebration and the venue was very nice. Food was delicious and dessert was amazing.
Great atmosphere. AWESOME bees, most comfortable bed in a hotel I've ever slept in
Nicer older hotel. Updated rooms (it seems like about 50%) are the new Marriott concept that I personally don't care for. No working desk, no closet. Nice bathroom though.
Older rooms are standard Marriott fit. Nice lounge for status members and walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops.
During my brief time in Miami, I found this Marriott location to be stellar in both general appearance and service level. The staff were all very friendly, and went out of their way to make me feel welcome as a Gold Member from the moment I checked in.
My only gripe about this hotel is the dated feel of the rooms. Even among their higher floors (I stayed on 22F), the bathrooms and showers look as if they were plucked straight from a late-70s Motel 6 - quite a contrast from the highly-polished common areas! If this could be improved, I would easily have rated my stay a 5/5.
If this review was helpful, please consider a thumbs up. It would be greatly appreciated!
Not located next to much. Had to walk to the mall to find anything to eat.
You are 20 min. of most interesting things in Miami. I recommend the Deli coffee shop of the 2nd. floor, although the rooms are comfortable is expensive for services that do not include movies +/- 15 usd parking +/- 19 usd / night. the subway station is 20 steps away.
Room was nice. Tv had no HDMI port and they charged $10 for basic wifi... eh rather stay in a cheap Holiday Inn
Quick and attentive service at valet. Front desk was proactive and knew what I was going to ask for without even having to ask.
Went as a photographer to an event, staff was extremely nice and attentive
Very elegant space and the staff is quite accommodating P.S. the food at the restaurant is A Okay as well
Newly renovated rooms are very nice, but valet can be very slow at times. No self-parking option.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!..You will be sorry. Made reservation for four people and was guarantee 1 king bed and a sofa pull out bed. After driving 5 hours we get to the dumpy disgusting room with worn out dirty stained carpet that smelled like old cheese what did we see..1 bed..are you kidding me 1 bed for four adults. What happened to my king and pull out. Went down to the desk and I get sorry sir we overbooked its really busy.
One thing is to screw up my reservation but dirty smelly rooms is another. Thanks for the memories Marriott never again!
Second time going here for a big party. Always a fun time in a classy place
Super nice hotel in a great location at what must be a deep-discount weekend rate.
I had a beautiful room, everything looking good and brand new. All the people that work there were very friendly and polite. Really recommend it
This hotel makes other marriotts that I have been to look like something out of 1952. Great job.
I had a nice time. I was there to look at a wedding space with a bride/co-worker. We were very happy with everything that I had chills and the bride-to-be had tears.
Pretty standard 4 star hotel. Beds are a little too soft for comfort. No self parking on premises only valet
Surprisingly good hotel in what you'd expect to be a so so neighborhood but it turns out there's some good food nearby too.
Great service! Great room! Will use this hotel again soon!
Good atmosphere and prices in the bar, somewhat expensive.
Well attended to accommodations in every respect, from service to accoutrements to breakfast, todo bien.
Very comfortable! Friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was good, the wait staff in the restaurant were amazing!
The Hotel itself is beautiful, but the surrounding area is a concrete jungle.
Great location for me as its in the same complex as the office i'm visiting. Room is neat and clean, staff courteous and approachable. Buffet in the restaurant is excellent.
Beautiful hotel, but no space to park only valet which is $12
Very Nice hotel, but my wife and i ended up with back pain from the beds, they are too soft... There is a sheap garage in Downtown Dadeland and free parking on the street also.
Valet Parking =THIEFS. Stay away unless you take everything in your car out, and I mean EVERYTHING! I don't know how Marriott would have a contract with a company like that. Only in Miami.....
rooms were very clean and well kept. work area was spacious
Great hotel, fantastic service and rooms. Restaurant is open late and has some great choices
Is this what Marriott thinks about Miami look at the sign it's all broken I don't like it
Old hotel, rooms are just ok. Everything is extra , 25$ for valet, 19$ for wifi
Went for lunch and restaurant.is delightful and has a great lunch menu which includes soup, salad and dessert.
I think it's great but you do not want to miss something in a very nice area but I did not like the rooms so much, that's why I give you 4 extrellas
Excellent place for congresses and conventions.Very good gym and pool
Hotel is lovely, clean and has friendly staff. Be prepared to pay for parking, Wi-Fi and meals (breakfast not included). Room service menu is great and delicious, but 22% service charge for dining in.
Best part of our stay was the service received at breakfast by Marly, who was very attentive and helpful.
Our stay was after the storm, but does not excuse the poor service from the front desk. More worried about the room than our comfort. Put more vending machines in. Having one inside the gym and not available when the gym is closed is ridiculous.
This is the only 1-star review I ve written. Long time Marriott member. Will never stay at another Marriott after this experience. I stayed here for my wedding. The staff is largely incompetent and unprofessional. The manager is outrageously disrespectful, patronizing, and obstinate. You might consider staying at a different hotel in the area.
The hotel was nice. We really had no problems. The rooms were nice and the beds comfy. You could go down to the concierge room at any time for free snacks and drinks. The valet parking was like $20 per night, but when you got there at night, no one was there to take you car, so you would have to park it yourself and still get charged. Other then that, a great stay.
Great location, close to good restaurants, great staff
Very clean. Excellent staff.
Parking is extra. But valet service is really good
The staff here brought two local parrots, Pedro and Paco, inside when Irma threatened. I love you guys!
Clean rooms, friendly service, working ac, friendly valet, quick service. Will book again next time I'm in the area
