McSport Review

McSport seem to be handling the hugely increased demand during the pandemic - I place an order for some large equipment with them and it was delivered seamlessly.
All equipment is high quality as pictured.
They were able to provide an accurate arrival date for the items they were awaiting deliveries for.
I had one relatively minor issue with one piece of equipment and had a very pleasant experience dealing with their manager Shane who was able to get the issue resolved at their own expense with no fuss.
I would highly recommend buying from them.

Great selection of products and extremely fast delivery

ordered 600 euros worth of equipment5 weeks ago . PAID for it when ordering an just recs a third of the order yesterday. have been promised the moon by a lady there every time in emails an phone calls but never delivers as promised. this company appear very quick to take money but not deliver

Really efficient and easy to deal with. I placed an order for a commercial squat rack with Emma who processed it on Monday and had it delivered by Thursday the same week, fantastic customer service!

I ordered a lat pull down for cf475 power rack and applied my 10%discount code which was accepted but never applied to the overall price, I have emailed customer service and sales about this 6 times and still nothing has been resolved not even an email, really disappointed as I have a lot more equipment to get but will be looking elsewhere in future,

After a rough start I now want to thank McSport for their efforts. I have a Nordic Track Commercial 1750 treadmill. It is 10 months old and lightly used. The power to my house went out for 2 minutes which caused the treadmill to have a meltdown and try to drive the running deck in to the ground!?! It was jammed up and broken as a result. One of the main reasons I got this machine was because of a comprehensive 2 year parts and labour warranty. When I contacted ICON I discovered they were useless and the warranty is effectively a scam as they wouldn't cover me because it was a power issue and I had not unplugged the machine after use (what complete BS - do they expect every gym user to unplug the machine after each use too - my machine is a commercial grade!). Even the technician had never heard of a requirement to completely unplug a treadmill after each use. When reading the warranty fine print it also says they won't cover the machine if they consider the room to be too cold or too dusty. What a joke - they can effectively deny every claim which is what they did to me! Thankfully McSport got involved and ultimately I got it resolved via their great technician named Niall and support staff Emma and Siobhan. I don't know what happened behind the scenes but my parts were replaced and the machine was repaired at no cost to me. I want the thank the team at McSport. As for ICON, they are a joke so be very careful relying on their "comprehensive parts and labour" warranty. I guess this shows the value of having purchased from a decent retailer.

Ordered 200 euros worth of sports equipment in beginning of April my order still hasn t arrived it is now the end of May.Very poor customer service they don t respond to emails would give it zero stars if that was an option will never order from them again.

Was looking for a home treadmill and was confused between a few options. Scott Gilchrist from McSport was of great help, had a chat with him and it was good to talk to someone on phone to get a bit of re-assurance. Ordered a new home treadmill and hopefully it will be to good use.

Recently bought the 30kg Hammertone dumbells. These arrive in two separate boxes. The delivery driver only delivered one box and, as DPD are impossible to contact, I rang McSport customer service instead. They followed up with DPD themselves and I had the box the following day. Unfortunately, the box had three holes in it which allowed four of the plates to fall out on their journey around the Midlands in the DPD van. I emailed McSport again and explained what happened. Two days later, I received the replacement weights. Even though it wasn't McSports fault, they rectified the situation immediately. Took a bit longer than I hoped to receive the weights but absolutely no fault of McSports. Great customer service (from Aoife H) and will definitely purchase off them again.

Got my second order delivered during the lockdown. Home gym is growing. Couldn t be happier with their service!

Received the wrong order. Mcsport blamed the courier and told me they had shipped the correct product. After quite a wait nothing arrived. I contacted them again and was told the right product was delivered originally which clearly it wasn't. Steer clear is my advice.

She and her colleague even helped to fix my boot I ve ordered 3 times from them since lockdown and each time the staff have been super helpful. Every time I ve collected they ve put everything securely and safely into my car. Would definitely recommend them for their customer service and great range of products

Order placed on 1/2/2021 order received 22/2/2021. I allowed for time requested due to covid 19 but It still took 21 days for my order to make it an hour down the road. Weights were good quality granted. Communication due to email back log was poor. Order wasn't sent out or dpd had lost it in transit........ So I was told. Good thing I mailed about the order if not I would still be waiting on it. I was hoping to do more business with this company but my business will be going elsewhere from now on. Unfortunate. 2 stars are only for quality of the weights not for the service provided.

We have been promised delivery of equipment since June, yet we are still awaiting delivery now in November. Every time we check for an update we are told it will be the end of the following month. Very poor sales team. Will not be dealing with these again.

Very poor service. I can excuse the three week wait for items given the current situation. What is inexcusable is the fact that items were missing from my order. Countless calls have been made, emails sent and no response. Its been six weeks since we made our order and three since we informed them that our order was missing items. Absolutely terrible customer service, they do not respond to any communication despite us paying for an item we never received. Complete robbery. Please do not buy here.

Seeing some negative reviews here but had a really good experience with McSport. Despite the order missing one small item, I spoke to them on the phone and the missing item landed within 2 days. Can have no complaints.

I found the product here I would have otherwise had to order from ebay or somewhere online and wait for possibly weeks. But here I could click and collect, and at a great price too. They were very prompt to respond on facebook and extremely helpful.Would definitely recommend them and intend to buy from them in future.

These guys have saved me through Covid lockdowns. The first 2 lockdowns I ordered dumbbells sets and just last wee a full power rack (ordered Wednesday and delivered Friday). Shopping online still lets you Shop local and shop Irish...thanks for a super service.

Was looking for a threadmill. Lots of models on website, all of them out of stock. Back in stock dates are a joke. Keep moving it every week. I waited few weeks just to find out dates are just joke. Please don't put a Back in stock date if you don't know.

Mc Sport provided their courier with an incomplete address and the delivery has disappeared (marked as delivered but who knows where).

Their courier advised me to check the area and with neighbours which I did and have now stopped responding to me.

Mc Sport sent me a glib response to follow up with the courier even though they contracted the courier. Mc Sport have stopped responding to me also. Really poor experience, will have to talk with my bank about a chargeback procedure.

Bought a cable machine from MC Sport and unfortunately after some use one of the cables became damaged. thanks to Shane for all the help. he sorted me out with the exact cable and now I am back up and running. Super Shane to the rescue!

Shortly after discovering I'd bought the wrong size Rugby tackling pad online from MC sport, I rang their contact number and spoke to a staff member who corrected my mistake at no extra cost. Found him very helpful, efficient and friendly. Excellent service recommended by me.

Ordered 200 euro worth of equipment exactly 2 weeks ago. Have heard nothing from them since. No reply to emails, no answer on the phone. Totally appreciate that demand is high but they should not have taken money if they could not fulfil volume of orders as would have ordered from somewhere else had I known this would be their way of doing business. Will happily write a new review should contact be made an update received.

Delivered equipment faster than they said they would and one of the few sites I have noticed that I have dealt with during covid that actually went to the bother of amending delivery times because of covid rather than leaving the delivery times the same and falling back on the tired excuse of covid once people contacted them to complain. Could have got equipment a bit cheaper elsewhere but these where the only company I could find it in stock and with a properly functioning on line store. Overall very efficient, good equipment, just slightly overpriced.

really unhappy with the service or lack there of. Placed an order in March and was Advised on confirmation of the sale the delivery would be 5-10 working days, naturally with all that is going on i expected this to be longer so i wasn't surprised on receipt of an email to say it would be 15 working Days. ive not received any dispatch confirmation so i know the product is not on its way its a month later and ive not received it yet. no matter how much i try i cannot get in contact or an answer to any email enquiries. ridiculous on the lack of response id love to actually just cancel my order at this stage and i cant even do that. everybody is under pressure with Deliveries but can still manage basic customer service. 100% wont order from here again. if there was an option for no stars this would be the perfect candidate

We bought a 950 euro tredmill and after 3 weeks doesn't work anymore, they are not even bother to come to fix it!

I have dealt with McSports frequently over the last 6 months buying bits and pieces to survive lock down at home. Recently I dealt with Scott Gilchrist whilst kitting out my new home gym. Do not order with the company if you need your items quickly. I ve been waiting over three weeks and still have not received all my goods. I have called at least 20 times and have been promised my goods will be despatched that day and they havnt been. AVOID THIS COMPANY

Set out to buy an exercise rowing machine.
Did my research online and MC Sports topped my list every time. I made follow up phone calls about their products on offer. Agent I spoke to was knowledgeable, informative and very patient.
Visited their impressive, extensive showroom this morning. I was looked after by Jason who answered all my questions and encouraged me to try out the rowers that fitted the options I had listed as 'must have'.
Extra nice was that at the till there was an extra 50 reduction to the already reduced price of the Nordic RX 800 V1 Rowing Machine.
Am looking forward to delivery (which is free) early next week.

Their delivery service is appalling. I placed an order last week and I rang on Monday to make sure it was dispatched as I hadn t had any email and I was told the item I had ordered the previous Wednesday was sold out on Saturday!! So even after 3 days they hadn t done anything for my order. It wasn t until 7 days after the order that they actually shipped it and said it could take 48 hours to deliver. I ll never use them again and wouldn t advise anyone to place an order for delivery unless they really aren t in any hurry for it.

Totally unsatisfied! I got an order 18 days ago. I was very happy besides I knew it could have a delay and take 14 days to arrive which I totally understand since Covid-19 restrictions. 4 days ago finally DPD came to deliver, for my surprise, half order. I asked the driver about the rest, he said it was not in his van. I got my half order and immediately rang MCsports, the guy told me DPD had the rest in the depo and probably they forgot it. He kindly asked me to have some patience that it would probably be delivered in the end of the same day, he would ring DPD and request this. I had patience for 4 days, but in the moment I realized on DPD website that the status of the order was fully delivered (but of course was not) I sent an email to DPD as well and of course I was fully ignored. Today I tried to ring MCsports or DPD, nobody gave a **** to my calls or my problems. 3 days ago I left a message to MCsports since they never picked up the phone, I left my name, number and told them again about my problem. They never returned me and now they are absolutely not picking phone calls, and I am here without my parcel and with no solution from DPD of MCsports.

Both customer service and sales ladies excellent .Great advice and staff had the knowledge to offer options and recommend the most suitable product .All communications polite and efficient.

This has to be one of the worst and most frustrating companies I have dealt with. I ordered a number of items to the value of almost 400 euros ,there was a delay but understandable given Covid issues. After some follow-up by mail (not possible to get anyone on the phone )I was given a delivery date. I received the delivery on 14th August but was left short a slam ball. I emailed immediately with details of the number of boxes and photos. I emailed 6 times until I finally got a call to say I would receive the slam ball the following week which I did on 29th September. However it was immediately obvious that the slam ball was a well used one that had damage to it and the chalk was evident around The area of damage. I immediately took photos and emailed, I have followed up again by mail but as of 28th October I haven t received an answer and still have a useless, used and damaged slam ball (I had bought 2 of different weights so very obvious difference between the new ball and thuan one). Totally unacceptable way to treat a customer.and obviously will not buy from them again

Called and ordered over the phone with Emma as I had a one4all voucher I wanted to use to pay, she was very helpful and I had my order within a few days. The product is great quality also!

I recently purchased for the first time from McSport through a recommendation & found the product pages to be very detailed and painted a clear picture of the products on offer. The delivery was prompt and items were as detailed, will definitely be ordering my training equipment from them again.

Do not buy from this company you might get a garentee and parts and labour but they will not fix your machine waiting almost a year now excuse after excuse they just won't fix it the latest excuse is waiting on the supplier supplier's don't take that long If I had a gym it would be fixed long ago spend yer money elsewhere

Don't waste your time. I ordered one item on May 1st and am still awaiting delivery of that one item, which I was lead to believe was in stock at time the order was placed. I have sought updates regarding the status of my order but have been unable to gain any useful information.

I am compelled to write this review due to the outstanding service recently received from McSports. Initially the specific product I was looking (a NordicTrack Treadmill) for was not in stock, however the team at McSports helped immensely in understanding my needs and recommending an alternative option (a Sole F85). There was one hiccup during the process after I confirmed and paid for the product in that I was unable to make contact with the the member of the sales team I had been dealing with, in spite of speaking with his colleagues and being assured he was in work he would call back but the calls never came...however on the 3rd call I got speaking to a senior manager (Sarah) who was exceptional, it was obvious immediately that no only did she genuinely care but she was also sincerely apologetic for the difficulty I had in contacting the sales person. Sarah took ownership of my order and managed to get my treadmill delivered ahead of schedule and I am still amazed how she managed to get it sorted so quickly and efficiently. In addition to this the very next day after I received the treadmill Sarah phoned to check that I had received it, that all was ok, that I was happy with it and if I had any questions.
I cannot recommend McSports highly enough and I truly believe that the quality of a business is not when things are all smooth and easy, but how they react and handle issues when things go wrong...McSports excelled on this...no excuses, no blame game, no passing the buck, no resistance or rejection of my issues...they listened, the understood and then they exceed all of my exceptions of how quickly and easily the resolution could be!! I AM A CUSTOMER FOR LIF AS LONG AS THEY KEEP OPERATING TO THIS EXCEPTIONAL STANDARD!

Website easy to use, what I ordered came very fast & does exactly what it said it would.
(now all I have to do is use it...)

I would never do business with this company bought 2 treadmills neither work since the day they arrived and they refuse to refund me. Absolute disgrace after 2 months of arguing on the phone and a engineer coming out twice to fix them the guy in charge finally got in contact when i threatened with a solicitor. Still refusing to refund me, they say i broke both treadmills despite both have not worked since they arrived 18th september. Plus there engineer could not get them going.

I leave with a note buyer beware check your warranty.
Even if your treadmill is in the commercial section of there website it might not be covered under a commercial warranty, you as the customer should not be stupid and assume a product labelled commercial is covered by a commercial warranty.
