MCSNet Review

My experience has been very good. Speeds were generally better than what I paid for(20Mbps down/1Mbps up), and any calls I made to customer service (which were few and far between) were handled very professionally. Have had multiple MCSNet service installations and have been happy with them every time.

I am happy with MCS net they have provided me with great services and I have been recommending them to my family and friends.

Never had any major problems with their service, always had top speeds. If something needed upgrades they automatically came out and did them. Always solved problems and came out to do service calls as soon as they could. Although I only needed one service call. Great ISP!!

My Name is Ashley Buffalo, and it was brought to my attention, to write a review?, about the companies Internet service, I am not sure if this is the right department, so I apologize.

I have been using MCS for the past, ongoing two year's, and let me be honest with you, I am a online Gamer, and watch a lot of streaming, such as Netflix and Youtube, and the Internet speed is just perfect, so far I've had no issue's to disturb my connection, although that only happens on some certain days, such as bad weather, like a thunderstorm, or hard blowing wind.

But other than the weather, My connection and you're Internet service is just awesome, I live in the far out country of Froglake reserve, and I had to choose between MCS or Arrow Tech, I am glad I choose MCS, Thank you for providing such helpful costumer service also, they are very nice.

First off, let me say that we have had a good relationship with MCSNET for years. It was not until 2020 that we started having more issues. Its times like these when a partnership is challenged that true colors (the actual operation) are shown.
We have been having issues with our internet connection for many months. This past couple of months have been especially bad - our connection is unusable during peak times. MCSNET's 1st level of support is horrendous. It is an outsourced group that is very limited in helping you. I eventually put a complaint in and had the Lead Tech from MCSNET contact me. After the run around I finally found out that the tower and connection is oversubscribed with users; meaning there is not enough bandwidth and everyone suffers during peak times. They told me that a ticket is open to upgrade the tower equipment, but they cannot tell me when this upgrade will happen. Total cloak and dagger...
We are a very reasonable family, but with COVID and my wife and I working from home, and school duties remotely, we need some reliability.
I have been credited for one horrible month of service, but they outrighted refused to provide me a discount for the degraded service going forward.
I had to ask, and ask, and ask to speak to a senior leader or ownership...but eventually got to the Service Manager. It was like he was not to be disturbed.
All we are asking for is a timeline on when this work would be completed and the connection upgraded. Otherwise I have to find another provider. Currently looking, and you should too...

By far the best residential wireless Internet available in our area.

I have had mcs net for only a couple of months but i have never had such amazing service with a carrier as i do with them. They are very friendly and knowledgeable and always get back to you when they say they will. I recommend mcs to all my friends as they have amazing service and great prices.

Only reason why they are getting one star is because I can do zero stars. I pay for 20 Mbps and have never seen that. Over the last month I have called their service people and complained and no change had a service call which they put another reciever on my house no chance (the tech brought his dog to my house also) I've had on average 1 Mbps with speed test. Very disappointed in their service wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I've had lost internet access more then I've had it this month alone.

MCSNet has provided friendly, expert, and reliable service at our home as well as on the phone whenever I've needed assistance. They provide this service at very competitive prices. I recommend MCSNet for satellite internet and phone.

I switched over to MCSNet after years of a competitor company. This other company left me with doubts about rural internet services with slow internet speed and other issues. Since signing on with MCSNet, I am very satisfied with the internet connection as well as the speed and great customer service. I recommend MCSNET to everyone living in a rural area that is looking for fast internet connection with no problems.

We've been with MCS for roughly 2 years. They have great customer service, are prompt and respond to any inquiries in a timely manner. I had a hiccup with payment for the first time ever, and it was not an issue at all. They communicate effectively, and work with you. They are more expensive to use than other rural providers, but worth it in my opinion.

I've never had problems with this company. Thabks for the great internet!

I have been with mcsnet for 6 years and my experience has been nothing but good. Speed is excellent on my internet and service is always good. Today talked with rep Annette. She was pleasant and professional and immediately fulfilled my request

Terrible service. Always cutting out. And wanted to change payment dates to coincide with my check dates. And wouldn t comply with it. And in turn constantly charging me nsf fees!

We had a really difficult time getting ours installed, but since then I've been thrilled with the speeds and prices. In two years our internet has been down once, and it was due to extreme weather. Doubling the cap was an unexpected bonus. I highly recommend MCS to all our friends and neighbours. Excellent company to deal with.

We started using MCS Net at our cabin 11 years ago and a few years later dropped the provider we had been using at home and have been using MCS Net at both locations ever since. We are very happy with their service and support.

I have been with them for many years and I have been well taken care of with their personal service and phone and internet. I have all the best to say about the service I receive from MCSnet . I am happy with my service. And it's been now 7 or 8 years. Wow.

Install was fantastic and the customer service was great.

Had the service for 8 months or so now and it has been decent. Speed fluctuates regularly. I am always under my month data since joining and have always paid on time. This month I hit the data limit 3 days before month end. They want to charge a ridiculous amount for a data pack. With a couple days left they could choose to flick the switch and keep me running if they wanted to, but I get put in this unlimited mode which could be compared to dail up from days gone by when it even works but most of the time I spend is unplugging and powering cycling the equipment just so I can send a friggin email. I have been forced to drive into Edmonton to get work done. Come on guys be better.. Treat you customers like they mean something.

This is the third internet company we have used since we have moved to this area. By far the best service and signal strength.

I am very grateful for the quick service, given these trying Covid times. What a relief it is to be able to work from the Lake stress free. Very glad I am not tied to poor cellular service. Installation was easy and the Installer was very helpful, did a much better job than I did with the cell booster. Bye bye booster

The support and customer service is so generous in trying to help solve any problems i might have. MCSnet is a great service with exceptional customer service. I have never had problems with streaming video.

I don't normally write reviews but wanted to this time because I called one day and got a tech here the next day. Not much downtime. We changed from another company and Mcsnet is faster of the two. We live in the country. Things are slower out here. Can't expect city speed. Maybe someday. But till then thumbs up. Mscnet. Thanks

Well since Google won't leave me alone about leaving a review I guess I'll finally do it. I didn't think it would be appropriate for me as an employee to leave a review on the amazing services. I will say that MCSnet has been the best company I have ever worked for. I feel truly appreciated every single day I come to work. My poor co-workers are stuck with me forever now. Haha

paid for internet with this company for almost 3 years.....Worst experience ever. Go with the Telus smart hub.

I agree, no star if it was possible. Float around 1 MB most nights at peak hours. I cant even stream a video. Its a money grab. Was told flat out they have too many people on the tower. There was nothing they can do.
This is dial up at best. Picture is of speeds seen over a given day.

Poor connection always.. specially at night.. totally not recommending this company.. i pay 100$ a month and its not worth it.. and they dont care at all..

I have been with MCS net for 10 Years. They have always treated me fairly, friendly. They have improved their system a couple times since I have been with them and I have to say each improvement has been great. I would recommend them to all rural internet users for sure.

Our internet is always down! I still pay to have internet and I'm not sure why as I call them about 2 times a month and have a service guy come out at least once a month! Very fed up. At least customer service is nice. But no one has returned my call or my internet service which I pay for!!! Get it figured out already.

Wondering why their network has been down for hours with no notification or update. A simple email would be nice. The outage map is very vague and doesn't give you accurate information or much information at all.

Mcsnet is an awesome internet service provider. Excellent service, helpful, courteous, and very professional. They have been our service providers for a year and a half, and still are. We ve been using their services for almost 3 years now I believe, and we ve been very happy with everything!! When we had it set up, the tech was super nice and very knowledgeable! We were told that there was a chance the exact location of our place might prevent us from being able to receive the preferred signal/service but he was able to get us a strong enough signal and we ve only ever had to call for maintenance/realignment once the whole to me we ve been with these guys. That s pretty darn good I d say. When we did call, the next day before noon our issue was fixed. Very happy with these guys, and would recommend to anyone. Also, very affordable, and after we d been with them for a year I think it was..they upgraded us with an extra 100GB for free

Highly recommend MCSNet, as they're always pleasant, we've never had any issues with our wifi, we've been with them a little over a year now with nothing but great service. AND they're affordable. So happy that we went with them.
