We had excellent service on the phone with booking, follow up, and on the day of installation when the service tech was a bit behind and I wanted to confirm he was still coming. I left a message and they promptly called back and was very kind and apologized profusely about the delay. The installer, Earl, was the friendliest guy could ever meet. I went with MCSNet because we moved to a rural community and the Strathcona County tower map showed their tower closest to us, we have better internet service now than when we lived in Edmonton. Our home inspector also recommended them. Very happy with our decision.

Worst company I've ever had to deal with. Bad customer service they hung up on me twice. Haven't had there service for a month, and my bill is 310 and they can't explain why it's this much and are threatening to cut me off due to large bill that is suppose to be under 100 a month. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!

After 5 years of struggling and switching between 3 companies and every service imaginable including the "New smarthub. We finally made the switch to MCS and couldn't be happier. We are getting as high as 21 mbps download speed where all others could maybe get as high as 5mbps in our rural area.

I switched over to MCSNet from a competitor company. This other company left me with doubts about rural internet services. Since signing on with mcsnet I am very satisfied with the internet connection as well as the customer service. I recommend MCSNET to everyone that is in their service area.

I just called MCS Net today to lower my package and take a look at my account and I didn't want to wait on hold too long so I was pleased to hear the option of leaving my information for a call back. Annette at MCS Net called me back within a few minutes and she was wonderful! She offered me multiple options and even encouraged me to save money a few different ways; I was well informed and extremely satisfied with her customer service.
They also contacted us to come and set up a better connection with a taller tower in our area! All in all, this is a wonderful company and would recommend them to my friends and family!
Thank You MCS Net.

Mcsnet is absolutely terrible. The company, the service, and the customer service are all abysmal. If you pay for the highest service they have ($100 a month for 25 mbps) your connection will cut out 3-5 times a day. If you try to contact them about the connection, they will tell you over and over that it is on your end. They will say "its all green on our end it has to be you". even though you know it isnt. you wont get farther than that. If you try to run a speedtest, they have software in place that tells the hardware to ramp up your speeds so everything looks fine and dandy for the speed test.
All in all save yourself the headache and the annoyance of dealing with this terribly managed company and sign with someone else.

I like the fact that they are a local company. When I phone for information or tech support I don t get a over seas call center. They always good to deal with over the phone. Any service issues we ve had have been dealt with quickly. It would be nice to see faster speeds and unlimited data. I m sure it ll come one day. For now it leaps and bonds better then what we had available in rual areas in the past.

Mcsnet is the worst, if you have a choice don't choose them. I recently moved but had no choice but to stay with them. I was on a two year contract with two months left. Rather than let me keep my contract they required me to buy out my contract, pay a disconnection fee, and pay a reconnection fee at the new place or sign another 2 year contract. Plus their prices are ridiculous, in part because they really have no competition. Can't wait for Shaw or telus to go rural and put them out of business. Talk about robbery. Run far far away from them, anyone else has to be better.

I have been an MSCNet customer from the first day it was obtainable in my area. My experience has been generally positive with only the occasional outing, all of which have been quickly responded to. It is not as fast as ADSL or cable, but it offers enough speed for streaming online games and web surfing.

In my past 5 years of bad costumer service with many different internet company's, I can say that MCSNet is by far the best not only in speed, connectivity, and price but also in costumer care! Glad to have discovered them and will continue to get all my connectivity needs through them.

We've had MCSNet for over 3 years now. We're on the Advanced package at 6mb and 100Gb. It's consistently in that 5mb/s range when I do speed tests and has stayed up quite solid through lots of different weather. We're almost exactly 6 miles from the tower.
So it's not the fastest at 6mb but for the price I'm very happy with the service. There's been the odd time that Netflix will do some buffering but in general there's no issue with consistent streaming.
They just added a free 50Gb/month bonus to our account as a loyalty reward which was a great surprise. A little more Netflix will be in order now!
And this is not a 'fake review'. lol

Very poor customer service. Not willing to help out customers in the least, would rather trick you into upgrading your account and are not willing to drop it back to the normal account setting unless you call on the specific date to have it dropped. Technical service was helpful when you call, but if you are looking for good customer service look elsewhere!!

Max speeds of 3mbps download which renders it unusable for even browsing the web. They refuse to do anything about it and always resort to blaming it on my router, which I've upgraded out of pocket multiple times upon their request. Unbelievably terrible service and customer support. Their business model is milking all the unhappy customers with outrageous rates without even thinking to upgrade infrastructure to sustain such large quantities of traffic. Also, all the fake positive reviews on here are almost as big of a joke as the service they provide.

We have been with MCSNET going on two years and i cant give them a higher recommendation for anyone that lives in a rural neighbourhood. I have not dealt with their staff often but they were always friendly and helpful. Switch to these guys if you live in the country, it will be the best decision you make.

I have been a customer of mcsnet for over 6 months now and am beyond happy with the service.
I moved from spruce grove to a rural community in which I was switching from telus optik to MCSNet.
Without exaggeration, I have not noticed a difference in the product!
We run online gaming, Netflix, YouTube, Apple Music streaming, and social media usage and have had no issues with speed.
When I ve called in to their customer service line I was met with professionalism and kindness and fast service.
Would recommend their product and service to all.

I have been receiving service from MCSnet since about 2008. During that time their product has continued to improve both in reliability and speed.

There are still occasional service issues that usually appear related to weather events, but these are quickly resolved after a call to the 24 hour service department.

More expensive option for internet in the sherwood Park area. Works fine when it works. Otherwise look forward to a high bill, intermittent service, and hearing the words "it's a tower down again, we don't know when it'll be fixed" enjoy paying the same price you pay for cable and internet 3 streets over where shaw and telus cover.

This company has the worst customer service ever. Have been trying to get upgrade done since the beginning of may . No one communicates between each other and am told different things from different people, Waited for appointment since may and then it was cancelled with no call after taking time off to be home. Promised many things and nothing carried through. They won't let you talk to some one in athority claiming they can look after it. Very frustrating. Still waiting for call

The frustration with MCSNet is the same as all other rural providers, in that what they advertise they don't provide. I pay for a 20Mbps service, and on a good night it's 6 to 7, and a bad night less. They don't feel any need to provide the advertised speed, and we don't have any better options.

I have been with MCSNet for almost 4 years, I m happy to have found them. Living in rural Alberta, finding an internet company with a reliable fast internet connection that has the options to provide my family with multiple devices for streaming and gaming is tough to find. I switched from the competitor to MCSNet and haven t been happier. I have had my mother and brother switch over as well. I do highly recommend and encourage everyone looking for a great internet company that is reasonably priced has many options for speedy connections to suit your needs with amazing fast friendly customer service.

If you live in rural lakeland, and can get CCL, do it. I'm pretty sure that MCSNet routes their traffic to Mars first and their tech support and customer service reps are from the Andromeda Galaxy, as they do not understand basic communication skills or human emotions. Worst ISP I have ever had.

Hold on to your wallet. They over charge for sub par service with limits. Fee's hidden in ever corner of the contract. Deactivation fee's disconnection fee's, and if you ever have an issue and wish to take it up. the people in tech support are great ONLY because they are an outside organization. Billing department was very rude and even hung up on me once. And to top it all off they are the only provider in certain areas of Alberta like mannville. So they figure they can get away with what ever they please. I would strong recommend using any other company these people don't deserve your business.

I have been living in rural Alberta for the last 5 years and before mcs net we had decided to try colorimetric! For 3 years that was an awful, painfully cringing experience. We decided to get out of that early and try mcs net and I will tell you we have not been more satisfied with a company in all aspects! MCS net is by far the superior internet provider for rural Alberta. Anytime we have had issues they have gone above and beyond whether it be technical
Issues which might I add are rare, or when we need to make a payment arrangement they always work with us.. I would recommend MCS net to anyone in rural Alberta looking for an internet provider!

After years of so called high speed internet from Telus 1Mbyte if I was lucky I finally decided to switch to a rural high speed provider. I did some research and decided that MSCNet met all my criterion. After a quick phone call which was vey informative I picked a package and an installer came out and fitted the hardware and got me going. WOW what a difference, I was immediately impressed with the speed and was able to discontinue BellexpressVu and sign on for 2 streaming services. So real high speed coupled with streaming and I'm nearly $100 per month better off. Thank you MSCNet. PS Before retiring I was a service manager for a major international electronics company and your installation team where 1st class.

I had a gentleman come out to my new rural home to install my internet connection today...i believe his name was Earl...
Needless to say he was super friendly and extremely genuine and kind to my restless boys. He explained everything he was doing to them and was great about giving me options for my router. After the installation, he took his time to help set up my account, change my wireless password, and explain how to navigate the website and billing cycles. After such a stressful move this past weekend....it was really nice to have him help get us up and running! (Which means I don't have to watch Happy Feet for the eleventh time!)
Absolutely thrilled with the service I had today!!!

Can't believe all the bad reviews. I have had MCS internet for over 5 years and I have never been let down. You people are forgetting this is rural Alberta. Its was not that long ago dial up was our only option out here. That was 33Kbps on a very good day. MCS internet gave an option for those us that had nothing. Is their service absolutely perfect, no. How can it be, its glorified WiFi signal and with longer usage periods thanks to Netflix people are using it more then ever now.
Those of you saying you pay for 20Mbps that is simple not true you don't pay for speed. I have never heard of a wireless company that guarantees speeds.
When I do have issues its really nice to be able to talk to Canadians that seem eager to fix what ever issue that I am having. I wish i could say the same about those other big companies.

Bad enough I'm debating going without internet. I have fought with MCSNET technical support for year and have never reached a solution aside from me having to pay to put up a tower and "it may help". Technical support is unwilling to help just the usual, run a speed test, reset you router. They blamed my router for several months (wich was brand new) so $250 later i have a new router and they says its my router once again. I assure them thats not the case and they say I will received a phone call from teir two technical support the following day, and after several days of hearing this i still have not received a phone call so unless I do I guess ill be looking for a new provider i have already maxed out my cell phone data plann to make up for the shortcoming of having mcs net internet but I still pay over $100/month for internet I can't use Mcs net makes dial-up look good

We used MCSNet for 8 years for both internet and phone while in rural but just recently moved back to town and switched to Telus. MCSNet was very fast, super reliable, and perfect for country living. Easy to get support and clear answers whenever we asked. Switched because of fiber in town and have had nothing but issues and hours and hours on phone waiting for support :(. Missing MCSNet service support and reliability everyday.
Comm'on MCSNet, get fiber in town and everyone will switch :).

Whether you are looking to sign up for new services online or need assistance from their support department, MCSNet is dedicated to ensuring that you have the best possible experience.

One of the key advantages of choosing MCSNet as your internet service provider is their extensive coverage area. The company serves many rural communities across Alberta, including areas where other providers may not offer high-speed internet services. In addition to their broad coverage area, MCSNet offers a range of different plans and packages to suit different needs and budgets. Whether you are looking for basic home internet access or require more advanced business solutions such as dedicated hosting or cloud computing services, they have options available that can be tailored to your specific requirements.

Another advantage of choosing MCSNet is their focus on using the latest technology and infrastructure to deliver fast and reliable connectivity. They use state-of-the-art equipment such as fiber-optic cables and wireless towers to ensure that customers receive consistent speeds regardless of their location or usage patterns.

Furthermore, MCSNet takes security seriously by implementing robust measures such as firewalls, antivirus software, spam filters, intrusion detection systems (IDS), among others. These measures help protect against cyber threats like malware attacks which could compromise sensitive data stored on devices connected through its network.

Overall, if you are looking for an experienced rural high-speed internet provider in Alberta with excellent customer service ratings who uses cutting-edge technology while prioritizing security then look no further than MCSnet!
