Went to see a movie! Liked the tables but the server was very rude by talking at a normal volume during the movie; I'm not sure why she couldn't whisper like they do at Kennedy School
(Re: Power Station pub) My wife and I have come to Edgefield almost every weekend since we moved to the Troutdale/Gresham area. It's one of the best and most consistent restaurant experiences we've ever had.
The food is great, beers are good and varied, service ranges from good to great, and even with a packed house they keep the waits pretty short.
There are also lots of other shops and activities like a spa, golf, and concerts on the property for anyone interested.
We will continue to visit 1-2 times a month and recommend this restaurant to everyone that comes to town!!
This place is magical. More so on a summer evening when there's no hectic concert crowd and bustling staff. The garden routes are my favorite, and it's easy to see why this is the flagship McMenamins location. I have a fondness for rabbits, and this place plays on my passion in exciting ways with trademark stylized artwork, sprinkled with some obvious and some very hard-to-find bunny themes. The Power Station is also a good place to see select first-run movies for cheaper than the cinema. The pizza kitchen serves awesome pies (my favorite is the Margherita), and the hummus plates are delicious! Would love to get the overnight and spa package sometime and enjoy access to the exclusive soaking pool.
Food great and service good for being under staffed. Which seems to be a pattern.
Fun historical place. Great food! And if it's on the drink menu, try a frisky whiskey
Perfect on a hot afternoon.
Never a dull moment and can't wait to get back in the soaking tub.
Went to a concert here. The grounds were very well organized and neat. The staff were friendly and professional. The forum was pleasant and works well for music.
I was there for a concert. The concert ended up being cancelled. We stayed and ate at The Black Rabbit and it was delicious. The service was really good as well.
This magical community is one of my favorite places to visit.
Came here for a work party and had a really fun time! The only downside was how hot it was. No AC in the rooms made it a little uncomfortable. The vibe is worth the visit, though. The look and feel of this place is pretty special.
A wonderful place to forget about the rest of the world, and also have too much to drink and hang out in the lake sized hot tub.
Wonderful village of McMenamins locations. Wine tasting is a must and will get you tipsy on very little. Happy hour is from 3-6 and the menu is very reasonably priced. Cajun tots are fantastic. There's custom pottery at the halfway house, golf course, theatre, 101 degree soaking pool and little red shack to smoke and chill.
We recently had our wedding in The Attic at McMenamins Edgefield and everything was absolutely perfect. The location was unique and beautiful, everyone loved the grounds at Edgefield and there was so much to do and experience. The grounds are also a very lovely and diverse place for pictures. The entire staff at Edgefield made planning an event there really easy and reasonable and, in some instances, they went above and beyond to make sure our wedding went as planned. The Catering staff did a great job on the food and setup throughout the entire evening to make sure the event flowed well. I would highly recommend this location for a wedding or other event or just for a fun, unique vacation.
There is so much to love about this place. Just go!
Awesome memories. Unique in every way. Atmosphere, food, and drink is a one off for sure. Highly recommend. Five Star Establishment
Showed up on a Friday night just looking for a bottle of Oregon wine to take home and found this extraordinary place buzzing with people & activities. We did find the winery downstairs & were able to taste a few wines to help us decide which one to bring home. We definitely want to come back!!
When I was in nursing school our favorite thing to do after finals was to sit outside and pig out on french fries. Here I am 5 years later and want to celebrate being cancer free on a beautiful summer day in troutdale. However, Edgefield no longer serves their delicious fries outside, instead you have to sit in a dark air conditioned restaurant. what the ****. If they serve fries inside why can't they serve them outside?? Sounds lazy to me. However, the golf course bar still serves the best Lemon Drops around.
Rating drops further. Food orders mistaken...food cold...way late!!! Not a disgruntled post...usually like the place.
Service in the Pub was slow, but the food was good. Grounds are pretty this time of year, but much of the gardens were riped off.
Went there at Father's day. Manicured gardens with lots of flowers and blooming shrubs. Restaurant was bustling. People enjoyed outdoor seating. Nice old place in a grand setting.
One of my favorite places to be. lucky me, it's only 5 minuets away. atmosphere is nice if you dont mind a crowd and a little noise during the peak times. Nice gardens, good music, great historical building. lots to look at. good food!! great bar!
Beautiful landscapes, easily navigated location, quaint rooms, plenty of amenities.
Outstanding getaway for adults, with a winery, brewery and distillery to please all comers. I recommend the juniper botanical gin & tonic at Jerry's Icehouse (dedicated to the Jerry Garcia), the Edgefield pizza at the Power Station, and the Ferryman's Choice red wine.
Sitting outside was nice, we only had a couple apps and a beer or two. Enjoyed the experience.
It was a great experience! I went for a concert -everything was well organized and efficient.
Beautiful grounds with lots of area for strolls, many outdoor eating areas, a golf course (I didn't take advantage of this time), and pretty good beer.
The rooms and have interesting historical pieces and original art like most McMenamins.
My wife got a great massage at the spa. The only not great thing was typical pub food with few vegan options.
9/10 would go again.
There is so much to see and do. Shoot pool, walk the grounds, soaking in the pool (paying guests only) or have a few drinks.
Fantastic fun, great food, delicious beverages.. as always!
The event venue was accomadating to all. Plenty of good food and alcohol vendors, lines moved quickly. The concert was awesome, sounded great. The Edgefield property is very cool to explore.
Easter family tradition- egg hunt than brunch at Black berry hall. Good food.
Love this place. Service can be sketchy but who cares. Good food. Lots to do. Great beer and wine and pear brandy. Only complaint...golf tourneys. Prizes are so good ringers ship in from country clubs near and far to play. Use to be able to win a gift card or KP once in a while.. Now +handicaps and golf pros show up. Oh well.
Beautiful atmosphere and great service. Pleasing lighting and brilliant food. Would definitely come back.
Best place ever. Get a drink and walk all around the beautiful property.
There was one waitress that was a bit snippy with my group. Other than that, a good time.
one of my favorite places to Dine and enjoy the atmosphere with my wife.
The grounds are fantastic and the drinks are great, just a little spendy and the service can be slow sometimes.
Was just there for my Brother's wedding. The event ran smoothly and the staff was amazing!
The location is great, you really feel like you're in a little oasis because there isn't much else around the property. Also, the food was fantastic. Best chicken wings I've ever had!
What a horrible situation we had there. They seated us at a small secluded table in the courtyard. We were enjoying a fantastic dinner when they seated a party of 10-12 at the table next to us. I think they were having a Covid-19 party. Few wore masks walking inches from our table. It made us feel very unsafe. We got a box for the rest of our dinner and left. We would have just ordered takeout if we knew we would be seated 3-4 feet from that many people.
Had a great stay in their hotel. Visired the small bars scattered throughout the grounds. Friendly service, yummy food and drinks and their amazing soaking poo.l
Go book a room at Edgefield right now! It's truly the perfect place for date night. This is a charming destination with cozy vibes and tons of little nooks to hang out. Try to come on a weeknight, unless you like big crowds. It's definitely one of my favorite places to go when I want to "get out of town", but don't want to drive over an hour.
Beautiful space, great drinks, and terrible food. I ll still go again because it s such a great place, but expectations are super low for the food. The hamburgers are probably the worst: overcooked to grey and tasteless. This does seem to be true for most McMenamin s locations though, which is too bad because they re great at providing an interesting atmosphere.
I love mcmenamins atmosphere. They always have great beers on tap, which rotates often, so there's always something new to try. Service can tend to be slow, but going straight up to the bar will yield quicker results. Go to a concert, tour the coffee roasters, get some grub, have a cigar, and stay the night!
Cool spot, it's old school with no bathroom in the room and no TV but if you enjoy good food and drinks there is plenty of that all over the property! The communal bathrooms are nice and clean so not a big deal.
Had a lovely dinner at the lodge. Our waiter was excellent.
Then we went to an outside concert. Concert was great, venue staff was efficient & polite. Biggest problem was Mother Nature, unfortunately. It rained on & off all day but started raining harder around 6 pm when we were entering the show grounds. Rained for about an hour. Would have preferred it held off until the latter part of the show but.... Enjoyed the show.
Great visit to the winery, tasted the reds and bought a few bottles, the Syrah and Merlot were great! Service was awesome, thank you Hailey!!
Bit of history and a bit of peace. Had a great time
The rooms here are cozy. The property is wondwrful. The staff is friendly. The food is excellent, and the beer is great. You should make the trip.
Seating was quick, especially for a 10-person party, service was good and the drinks were our favorite.
This venue is absolutely wonderful. It is a beautiful local treasure that is beyond what words can describe. With multiple bars, restaurants, outdoor concerts, a spa, and probably many other gems hiding among the trees, this place in unlike anything I've seen. I'm glad I got to visit!
Great customer service. We accidentally left our son's toy and the staff mailed it to us.
Food is pretty weak, but the grounds are nice. Interesting bars too.
Went to the Power Station for dinner. Beers were good, food was good, they were pretty busy, but our waitress was pretty good.
Took my girlfriend here for a night for our anniversary. It was amazing! So much fun, so many things to do! There were neat little bars everywhere. The food was great too. The options were a little limited for a vegan like me and her, but the staff was very accomodating and helped us out. A+!
The food was good and the whole place had a fun atmosphere with things to do for anyone. Highly recommend it.
Great hotel, great location and the keg of beer happy hour in lobby was a wonderful surprise. Great spot would for sure stay again.
Absolutely amazing. Great food and beer. Dog friendly and the passport they have is so much fun!
Just celebrated my reception in Blackberry Hall and the experience was amazing. All of my guests were raving about the food. The service was fabulous and the hall and lawn area with games was the perfect place for all of my guests.
Worst place ever! A lot drunk people acting really lound and gatto! The place was felty and the food was terrible for the price. I'm giving one star because the server was nice. Never going back. This was at the Power station bar.
Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at The Black Rabbit. The scallops were tender and cookies perfectly. The Dickens carolers stopped by out table for a couple of songs and made the evening special. Love their gift shop, as it is a step above most hotel gift shops. Great selection and mix of food, drink, souvenirs and local flair.
My first visit and wasn't planning on going there but I went with my kids and grandkids and had a very nice time just walking around outside and listening to the music and being with my family. Thank you!!
We come for the concerts but stay for all the fun and drinks. The grounds will blow you away! The multiple restaurants and little bars allows you to be private with your honey or get in the mix and make new friends.
The grounds and atmosphere of this place are beyond words. The staff is kind and the soaking pool is my favorite part.
I love Edgefield. You can hang out all day and never get bored. There is so much to do here. They have a winery, golf course, Spa, and soaking pool. They have wine tastings and craft beers. Just so much fun.
My boyfriend works there and we were picking up a bottle of the syrah for a Christmas present because we are huge fans ourselves. Excited to stay the night and enjoy the spa and soaking pool.
Best adult time anytime of year great food drinks and amenities
Beautiful atmosphere. Drinks were great. Lots to see and do.
Rooms and ambiance were great as always. And, as always, restaurant service was not the greatest. I will give them the benefit of the doubt though, it was very busy for a Thursday night.
Great food and drinks available, great atmosphere and friendly staff for a table of 10 that we had (plus two dogs). The only complaint is that they did not allow us to combine two tables until halfway into our dinner, so it was a minor inconvenience.
Beautiful location. Great concert venue. Be sure to ride share or carpool.
Good food and drink. Service is a little slow like all McMenamins.
They have really good food and their servers are really freindly. Allways a good place to stop for lunch.
Absolute favorite place in Portland. :-) I bring all my out-of-town visitors, and they told me that this is one of the best experiences they've ever had in Oregon. I can't even describe how cool this place is. You really have to see it to believe it. Make sure you check out the bar all the way at the top of the hill where there's a fire pit and you can smoke cigars while you enjoy your chicken barbecue pizza and lemon drop martini
