Good dermatology department. We love the nurses attending to my daughter with severe eczema.

However, their system for the Radiologie (x-ray) is really really terrible! You'd come to the hospital only to know that their system doesn't work and you have to request your GP to fax them. If you'd call, they are quite rude!
This happened more than 2x in a span of Nov-Dec months.

My mother spent 4 wk here last year. Nursing was unimpressed, night shift was very unkind. A bell was only responded to after 30 minutes.
Unfortunately my mother came back here 3 wk ago to the IC ... Here my mother's care was perfect.
My mother recovered and would be transferred to antonius courts. She had to wait half a day in the West End nursing ward until she was transferred.
And the begging started again.
My mother got her medicine without water. When she asked for this, she was told that she should have asked for water during the coffee round (?).
When I approached the nursing staff for this, Mrs. turned red and fetched water.
I was informed that she had a 1-hour break and that she would no longer respond to the bell (?) I think there should always be someone in the ward.
Fortunately my mother went to Antonius that same evening.
But she still had to go to the West End once again for an investigation.
My mother waited 4 hours for the ambulance to be brought back after the examination. Without her being offered drink or food. Also my mother didn't have a bell or any other means to reach someone !!!
Short to Terrible !! Inhuman !!! You don't want this to be your worst enemy! Outrageous how SICK people are treated here !!!!

Forced one star, and that is for the nursing in the department that was very nice and helpful.
Today at 8 am on appointment at the hospital for an operation on my leg. At 13.30 the doctor came to inform me that there was no room left and my operation would be delayed for at least 10 days! This postponement causes all kinds of complications, but the doctor was not very sensitive to it.
Can not judge if the doctor could have meant something, but his response showed that it was already known that the question was whether I could be helped. In any case, I would not have taken me to the hospital for an entire day!
Also the policy of the hospital to allow waiting times to run up this way in the month of December, deserves a very good job!

I'm a kidney patient, and this hospital saved my life about 7 years ago. Initially I went to Bronovo on the advice of my doctor. God that is such a terrible hospital, I felt utterly unhappy.
Fortunately, after 1 week transferred to the MCH Westeinde. What fantastic people work there, especially in the Dyalise department. Thanks to them I made it. Deep respect for people who work in healthcare.

Never been treated so rotten as at the Mch westeinde in the hague ... the nursing staff knew nothing ... in general it is known that you have to stay a night for observation in an "appendix surgery" (come on everyone knows that) Of which the surgeon who had operated on me also came along nicely and said tomorrow you can go home (which in the end was not the case but he could not know) the doctor just walked out of my room and the "terrible" nursing tried to get everything off to me pick up with the message the doctor told you can go home .. I told you that is not right the doctor told us something else. She still wanted to argue with us . In addition, I needed oxygen so how did I have to go home was just 1.5 hours past the operation. and how I got the oxygen .. nurse first went to put the tubes in her nose and see if oxygen came out. Apart from that she did not know what kind of medication I received while I am her patient for the evening and she should know that especially if they have had "transmission". I get heavy pain medication up to 5 times which had not helped from the first injection. I continued to have pain. Because of the amount I received from the heavy pain medication I started to get pretty confused and became very uneasy in my head. In addition, other nursing colleagues find it quite normal to call / shout my last name in the corridor when they don't even need me and I don't need them either! Everyone can become a nurse at the MCH westeinde because apparently you don't need any training here! Bunch of irregular.

Dear Westeinde hospital and readers,

Dear Westeinde hospital and readers,

I have had a very bad experience at this hospital. It was at the cardiology department (Mr. L. H Savalle) this man treated me so badly that I no longer trust this hospital. He simply does not help you and makes stupid remarks. As a patient, do not take you seriously at all and become angry when you ask a question. This is NOT how you treat patients !!! I also advise everyone not to visit this man L.H Savalle because you will not get the service that you can expect from a normal doctor. THIS MAN DOES NOT HERE HERE !!!!!!!!! OUTSTANDING THAT THIS KIND OF FIGURES GET THE POSSIBILITY TO BECOME A DOCTOR !!!

I prefer to give 0 stars, bad doctors in the ICU. Major mistakes are made! Poorly accessible. Visiting times are a drama. If you want to visit from outside The Hague it is a disaster to park your car somewhere.
With public transport you spend a whole day getting there.

Very poor social workers no empathy
Recently I was laughed at by a nurse what I do not like a comment way too much gossip you can know what someone has experienced which backpack is walking a person GP post is reported by a GP which is not correct for a patient does nothing and is not helped on a good plan of action needed other care providers who want to help people instead of making money
Bad experience at the GP post why you call why are you only now nice helpful doctors than I was coughing so much lung nurse was sick with it I cough this has aggravated my complaint then you hear we also risk our lives yes then I find work then not in the care then you have no heart for people to make people better and I was sent away they could just treat me physical tests done how you do not live long mch makes foreigners or another touch of death only help the Muslims to discriminate

This large central hospital is easily accessible by public transport. The car park has had a makeover so that there are more good places. In busy times it remains difficult.
In connection with the Corona measures, the normal entrance at the parking lot has been moved to the side via a tent where it is checked by means of questions about possible corona contamination and an appointment made.
No masks were required (early August 2020).
We have to come there regularly and have pleasant experiences with regard to waiting times (except coincidentally today due to an urgent case for surgeon) and good treatment.
In previous years, medical and nursing care was also excellent in various departments.
Face masks are now mandatory (October)

This hospital refused to give my mother an MRI scan while she was suffering from cysts in her breast. A few months later it was metastatic breast cancer. Conclusion: "we have followed standard protocol."

GPs don't have time busy and things like that
Then I went to hospital and I told that GPs have no time I got an answer that is not intended and I have been sent to emergency GPs, and they saw that they are busy.
That's really annoying that someone who does heavy work with sagging shoulder doesn't get any help.

Friday, May 26, 2017 admitted to the department of neurosurgery for hernia surgery. At 3:15 pm from anesthesia, half past four in the room. I stood next to my bed at 9 pm. Return home on Saturday at 1.45 pm. Nursing was great. All caring, thinking along, pleasant to deal with. I asked for a "Jantje", they didn't.
"Let's make it for you" !. Neurosurgery Westeinde, thanks.

Ten days of HMC Westeinde in different nursing departments, in the ICU and undergoing surgery and professionalism, at all levels, admired. From catering to surgery, from research department to nursing, an organization that runs like a train and all sympathetic employees, without any exception. I prefer not to be admitted to a hospital, but if it has to ...

My son broke his wrist while he was ice skating in Scheveningen and we went to the first aid. Doctors and nurses were very professional, qualified and nice. Thank you all for your excellent work.

Due to an emergency, my mother (82) was driven to the ambulance by an ambulance during our vacation ... I was allowed to stay with her the whole time ... we were treated very friendly and competently from start to finish! Even when we were told that my mother had to be hospitalized for 2 days (here: cardiology), there were only helpful and lovable people around us the whole time ... really exemplary ... what can happen here alone As far as dealing with patients is concerned, some German clinics take this as an example! Completely checked, she was allowed to leave the hospital after 2 days ... Thank you very much for EVERYTHING !!!

Bad. You wait months for them to make a referral, there is no communication between the departments, you are sent from box to wall. I am really done with it. Unfortunately they do not offer the specialization that I need in another hospital in the vicinity (read: the 3 provinces around it) so I depend on them. Too bad.

Good doctors and nurses but management needs to do better ...

Elderly and highly pregnant women are made the queue outside in the sun because of poor communication of covid measures, security staff rude and unhelpful. Toilets are dirty and no one gets told off for not sticking to guidelines (e.g. keeping distance).

Don't be surprised if you come in for a blood test the day before a major operation, are made to queue for ninety minutes and they call you a few hours later to tell you they LOST your blood and need to test you again...

Room for improvement!

The hospital of the city centre of The Hague. There you can visit all the medical specialist departments. Having visited the hospital numerous times over the years, I can say that the service is fairly good (for the Dutch standards) for simpler medical cases. For more complex medical cases I would go somewhere else with deeper specialization. Furthermore, I have encountered some very rude staff, a fact giving really bad impression. It appears that this hospital is not friendly to expats and doctors occasionally are not even willing to speak English.

world class care in an outstanding hospital.

This is the 3rd time that I have had blood taken in the MCH hospital and my arm always turns black and blue. This time it was even worse that my blood started to clot. They have unprofessional colleagues in this department. In the past, I also had more injections, but nothing like this has ever happened.

The hospital tried very hard to help me as an international visitor. They have taken good control of my healthcare and even supported me with GP and other service options I struggled with, either through in house or by recommendation.
As an international visitor it would be great if the service had more options in-house for GP and non-emergency services but their support exceeded expectations.

Most crappy hospital, been on appointment several times and always a heavy spout of at least half an hour to 2 hours. Too bizarre for words, how is this still possible in 2019? Paying a fortune but professional help forget it.
