It was average food with above average pricing. There were a lot of beer choices though. Overall, not a place I'd rush back to.

$20 cover charge for women $25 for men over priced drinks lines for the bathroom and wasnt even worth $10 entry fee ..DJ cool but other than that I won't be back
Pricey drinks. Not a great place. Better places in westgate to go.
Irish Pub feel, but I'd like to see some soccer (Irish Football) on those TVs
The GM kicked me out because I "drank to much". I had five ace ale's and since I drank them to fast I had the throw up feeling and at least had the consideration to go to the restroom. After I got kicked out of the bathroom, he/she kicked me out. Obviously I am fine enough to write this, but seriously the upper management is piss poor to say the least... Service was fine and all and was the only reason I even bothered to tip.
Nice bar and grill set up. Restroom has a sanitation managemnet that you would have to see in person!!!
I always love the night life and bottle service everybody there is. Good customer service thanks
Great place for a game and great service and food!!!
Service is horrible 36 minutes still no waiter oh wait there she goes.. nope she's gone.. there she is again... oh wait nothing... damn this sucks...
Was there on a Sunday night and it was moderately busy. They had a great DJ and ambiance.
The server and ice tea was the only good thing about eating here. I had the Sheppard pie which was dry and tasteless. Won't be back.
I come back all the time for vibe. The bartenders are great and polite and the music is current and LIT!!
This place used to be a great place to go to for some pretty fun times. Not so much any longer but they seem to be holding on their days long past. Too many new bar/restaurants have opened and doing well at Westgate for McFadden's to still be charging $5.00 to walk in. It does not count for squat and many times, you can avoid throwing the money away by walking around the club from outside the fence and see how deserted it is.
Service and food were good. Around 6pm, volume of music markedly increased making it difficult to converse with others in my party. This may be related to a concert about to begin in the area, but was unfortunate. I had planned to order more, but the atmosphere became rather obnoxious.
It's unfortunate they brought the concert feeling indoors, especially when there wasn't that many people in the joint to begin with.
Waited 20 minutes for a table only to wait 20 minutes for a server. Server checked on us twice the whole time we ate, servers should know to never let the customer run out of drinks. Food was marginal for the price. Very happy to leave and never return.
Loved it. A few military folks said it was "ratchet" they must have meant snap on. The people were friendly the music was hot and the women were scantily clad. Great club scene no drama. It wasn't ghetto at all.
Worst bar in westgate no respect for their customers.
This was not my first time at McFadden s, however it will be my last! This past Saturday (McFadden s Pre St. Patty s Day Party) a group of us decided since we were celebrating two birthday so go all out and do bottle service. After finishing up dinner and bottle service at our first Westgate establishment (which was AMAZING) we headed over to McFadden s where we supposedly had VIP. Upon arriving we decided to get bottle service as well (3 bottles none the less). We wanted to establish a good relationship with our hostess and make sure our needs were accommodated for the night, so we tip her up front BIG MISTAKE! We constantly had to track her down just to get service and forget it if we needed something had to get it ourselves from the outside bar as she could never be found. When she brought our third bottle to the table, she locked it up and disappeared for 30 minutes so we couldn t even drink. To make matters worse she never even had the audacity to apologies. Needless to say our hostess had no customer service skills and honestly I don t think she was even qualified to carry the bottles let only host a group of grown adults. I don t know what has happened to this establishment, but I can t imagine with the lack of service and the rudeness of the main bartenders that people would actually want to return to this establishment.
Sincerely
A Disappointed Customer
I did not like anything about this establishment!!! The manager is rude as all get out and he has absolutely has no education to back his "experience". They pushed a customer out for smoking in the patio, which is okay because it is against policy, but their signs are not big enough to show every customer that smoking is not allowed. They also laid hands on customers to push them put but legally are not allowed to do. This restaurant is way over priced and the service is slow. They have no manager to support the business. Each employee should thank Scott, manager, for these horrible reviews and terrible customer. Youre welcome!! Good luck in the future Scott, I hope you make it in business.
Great service and drinks from a friendly staff. Fun dancing with music you can dance to.
Although a friend and I came during a slower period, happy hour on a Tuesday where they don't serve tacos, it was a pleasant experience. Customer service was on top of their game. Started with a male greeting us and a female making sure we were okay later down the road. They had a team thing going on. Ordered the chicken nachos, and for happy hour price, it was above expectations. There was more ingredients then chips; I swear I had to use pinches as I got through the full size chips! I'm on the edge of five stars, I've just had slow customer service experiences for the night life here previously that is holding me back. 100'a
After 9 turns into a hip hop club. Not my favorite. Service was good. Wait staff was friendly
Took a chance on this place because of the ratings even though the place was empty when we got there but we totally regret this decision. The molly tots were far from being a $10 app, the BLT was loaded with bacon which sounds like a good thing but the bacon was floppy and half cooked which made the sandwich very unappealing. My friend chose the chop salad based upon the menu description that it was served on romaine since she didn't like spring mix and it came out on spring mix/romaine combo. Our server was friendly but the food was disappointing.
Manager a great guy but our server Alex( thou a cub fan) was the best!!! Food was great also!! Definitely going back!
There's a lot of things I love about McFadden's and only just a couple things I don't. I think that the majority of the staff are really cool people and the manager seems like a really good guy. I like the fact that once a week they have Penny drinks for females from 9 until 11 I believe. The prices on some of the alcohol is a little pricey which is pretty normal for a bar anyways, but my biggest gripe is the female bathroom. The female guests can get so sloppy with their drinking that by the end of the night if it's not maintained, it becomes trashed. This is in no way shape or form McFadden's fault. Just females being ridiculous
They have stepped it up! Music was wayyyyyy better than in past. Love the mix of house & hip-hop
They play the SAME music every weekend. I can already list the songs the DJ will play: "You know you make me wanna shout" and Journey's "just a small town girl" and some other cliche generic song. Ive been there about four times on a saturday night and the music is too repetitive.
Go there twice and if you are not drunk enough to actually be paying attention, you will notice itts all the same
I usually don't bother writing these things, but my recent experience was so unequivocally terrible that I felt I had to warn people away from this establishment. It started with my pregnant wife almost slipping on some beer someone had spilled, which I asked for towels to clean up (and did so on my hands and knees while scowling hostesses on their cell phones looked on, not offering to help). After waiting 40 minutes for a table (despite that the restaurant was half empty) we waited another 10 minutes before a server stumbled upon our table. After we ordered we were informed that they were out of the items we ordered, so we ordered again... only to find they were out of that too. We finally settled on salad and sliders since it was the only thing they seemed to have left, and an unpalatable beer for me (recommended to me by the clueless server after they ran out of what I originally ordered). My sliders came about 20 minutes before my wife's salad (another 20 minutes after ordering) and were cold and ineligibly dry. My wife's salad was soggy with store-bought dressing and a cup of bland soup that had congealed into paste (hungry as we both were neither of us could even finish our food). I ordered a Dos Equis while my wife finished only to have a Miller Lite served to me in a tiny plastic cup instead of a pint glass.
It is also worth noting that our waitress offered only token apologies when it came time for us to tip her. Considering that for this awful experience we were still charged $45, this should be enough warning for anyone and everyone to avoid this place at all costs. Places like this, that profit simply off their beneficial location while grossly mistreating customers, deserve to close.
Love the music. Eric the bartender was amazing. Such a cool spot!!
Me and some friends went last night, food tasted awesome. Service was friendly and above par for this kind of bar.
I ve came a few times to hang with friends but, has such slow service. Servers are always standing around doing nothing to help this poor restaurant. Asked for pickleback once and there was a baby roach inside, still gave this place yet another chance, just didn t drink it. Food is decent, just kept seeing roaches crawling and it s disgusting. It s infested.
You can tell management doesn t care about their restaurant service.
Pricey, usually busy, one of the most popular spots in the District, great place to watch any game, good drinks, and very clean restrooms.
Came here for a friends birthday more recently, they had a vip list that allowed you a drink special/discount. Not a bad atmosphere good crowd.
There wasnt a lot of people when I went, maybe because it was a Friday. The music was 90's which I love. It was pretty chill.
The Reuben and fries were really good, but the whole place seemed dirty, and it smelled like old beer.
We had Amanda serving us and she was fantastic- drinks were always full, food was great and our group ranging 6years-65years with some adults that are non-drinkers were all happy!
Came in from out of town and meet schy and Eric . Great welcome. Great advice on the town. Highly recommend you stop in and ask for them.
HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!
Ended up walking out after waiting for over an hour for our food. Got seated our order was taken then the waiting began. We watched as people that showed up after us get served their food before we did!!!
Dreadful service, went before the flames and coyotes game, said tables would be 10-15 mins, that was at 540, got a table at 610, yet there were multiple empty tables just not cleared off for that whole 30 mins, when we got to our table our server was coming towards our table then made an immediate left turn and went to serve another table so we left. Absolutely horrible service, do not recommend.
Overcharged my card and keep directing me to the Manager's email and not letting me speak to him. After reading other reviews and news articles I found that this is a very shady place to do business and your information is not secure. If you find yourself here USE CASH and don't for any reason trust them with your card!! Seems like the servers are over charging lots of people small amounts and hoping that they don't notice which adds up for them at the end of the night! In more serious cases they are accused of actually stealing CC info and making purchases!
I had a good time time. $10 for guys $ 5 for ladies for cover charge.
Not bad. vibe was ok. Wasn't the best but chill spot
Cool spot for drinks after a game or event... I was the designated driver recently and was forced to pay a $20 cover to enter the facility after I told them I was the DD. I don't live here and was in town for the final four tournament, I was trying to help out some friends and most bars I have ever been to covers the DD....apparently not this one. Doesn't seem very responsible in my opinion.
Good and friendly staff. Great drink specials as well
We went on a slower night so I'm not sure how things would compare with higher traffic. The service was just ok as well as the food. The drinks felt watered down but the calamari was good!
The service at the bar sucks!! They cannot handle large crowds....
The drinks are amazing and Eric is definitely our favorite bartender!
someone behind the bar served my girlfriend a drink in a broken glass! Their Ultra beer on tap was warm one day. Went back a few months later and it still was warm.
