Our favorite place. The food is very good and the drinks are always cold.
They have a band on the weekends usually. Outdoor seating area too.

I used to love both old glory and McDonald's. They were really good. But as your restaurants have gotten busier both seem to suffer. The service at old glory where I had no menus and was asked what do I want to then be avoided for 20 mins while the waitress talked to her friends at a different table. McDonaghs had served me under cooked wings. I'm just less then impressed.

Good food, cold beer. A bit slow on the service at first but very nice.

Solid Pub food. Really great outdoor seating. I was nervous about going out to eat bc of Covid but I felt really safe eating outdoors here. I highly recommend any of their burgers or steaks. Also fantastic seasonal cocktails.

Good food, friendly, relaxed atmophere. Sports bar with daily specials and trivia night Wednesday.

Food was delicious ! I m a VERY picky eater. I was nervous thinking the food was gonna have no flavor but in one bite I tasted some delicious chicken! Absolutely recommend this place

Great service and food while abiding Covid19 rules!

What a charming place! The decor alone us worth the trip, but the food was excellent, too. We had our choice between the brunch and lunch menu on Sunday. Live music was starting up as we finished. We'll definitely be back!

Not really Irish, but its a good bar. prices are good and the food is consistent. Service is typical for this type of place, hit or miss depending on your server.

Very disappointed in McDonaghs in past 2 weeks went there 2 beers requested,,,out of....Food was poor quality..Shepherds pie very salty...and does not serve the best Cod t azad cos I've eaten...no longer on menu?? Instead mango taco...not good if you could find the ingredients ..and at a higher price...second time ordered Salmon ....came with brussel sprout burnt...kitchen needs hands on by Manager! also had card to give 8th lunch free ...had $10.95 tacos. And $15.99 shepherds Pie ..only received $5.00 off? I`m sorry to see this place going downhill? Will not be back again which is sad....as it was my favorite place to go !

Usually very good but 20+ minutes at the bar waiting to order my 1st drink kind of was a let down...

We walked down to McDonagh's on a beautiful day, enjoyed a beer and food in their outdoor area. It is so great to be located so close to a great pub. We had the pleasure of having such a great server in Gabi. She was so attentive to our needs.

Great food with limited menu so ask what their specials are... they never fail to please the palate!

Poor service. Food was good, but forgot chili and olives with the app, forgot salmon with my salad, did not bring sugar and milk with tea and didn't even ask if it was wanted, also forgot to bring me my second beer, I gave that up. Desert took way too long to be served, we had to remind the waitress. Waitress did bring them after asking, but had an attitude after asking the 5th time. She was strangely moody. Atmosphere was good but I would think, not enough help in the kitchen and not enough servers.

Awesome pub, outdoor patio is perfect with a fire pit on a chilly night and all the games up on bug screens

Good hometown bar. The live music can be pretty bad sometimes (lol sometimes REALLY bad) but I guess that's what makes it what it is? Great staff and great food.... you gotta try out the wings!

Haven't been there much since moved to Toms River but we do visit when in the area. Great service good food friendly atmosphere! Slainte!

Disregard the one yellow Star Mcdonaghs does not deserve even that much.A friend and I stopped in one night to relax and have a beer.BIG MISTAKE . We sat at a table outside to watch a UFC fight there was no sign of anyone occupying that table not even a napkin .A waiter approached us and said the table was taken.I said there was nothing indicating that so he walked away min later a young girl tried the same thing and walked away also then another man came over and made false accusations that we swore to the girl and people around us complained when I asked him who he couldn't back his statements up. I said to my friend this wasn't the end of it that they would try throwing us out . So we decided to leave .The moral of the story is spend two dollars and buy a table marker that states RESERVED and not to make trouble for a paying customer next time.I WILL NEVER RETURN

My favorite pub in New Jersey. Great beer and drink selections. Food is delicious and the pub itself is beautiful inside. In the warm weather there is ample outdoor seating.

Truly a special place with a hometown feel and experience exceeding all others in the area. Great people, friendly attentive staff and food quality that can't be denied!!! Worth the ride (if there is one for you) in every way!

Tons of open tables and the food is so slow to come out good thing they are not busy. Poor choice for lunch for my farthest day. Should have gone some place that serves food in a decent time. Lol I guess we all have our bad days o well

This is a nice place in a beautiful brick building that has been in downtown Keyport for years, with the look and ambiance of a real Irish pub. Nice sized rectangular bar with a good amount of seating and tv's for games. A very good place for bar type food...burgers, wings, pizza, sandwiches. The quality and value here has always been good, although the current dinner menu is a bit limited. They run specials which can be hit or miss. A place like this should have more to offer as far as entrees, It's focused more on lighter fare.

First time there. Place was clean. Food was delicious. Service was quick and effective. However, in my opinion, for the size of the place, the restroom did not have enough 'facilities' for the amount of people who need to use it. Also, in my option, the men's room could be more handicap friendly.

EXCELLENT! Bar food lots of parking in the back and on the street.

Try the Corned Beef and Cabbage egg roll. Holy crap.

I was dying for a cheeseburger and fries, was very hungry, and hoping to have lunch at the bar. I was not disappointed. And as a bonus, it was on a quiet weekday, and the place like a church! It was a perfect meeting of a hungry man, very tasty meal, and a quiet hour to oneself. Ah, the simplicity of retirement!

This place is one of our favorite local spots! Atomsphere is always so welcoming and fun, my husband and i always love the live bands they have on the weekends. Staff is always friendly and attentive. Excited to try some of the new menu items!

Every time I have come to this establishment it has been a pleasurable experience. The atmosphere is awesome, the food is great, the service is great, and if you don t want to sit and eat the bar area is awesome as well. I am a vegetarian and it is hard to find places who cater to vegetarians, and this place has many items on the menu for vegetarians which I m sure can be easily made into a vegan meal. They have many events that are always listed, and I am excited for the dog lunch event where you can bring your dogs! Overall, a great place to come eat, get a beer, or both! I love supporting excellent local businesses and will continue to come here!

Visited on weekday around 3pm only 2 other tables occupied outside.We started with the roasted clams advertised as 1 dozen.Took a half hour to receive 10 clams without the dipping bread..We hailed a waitress and she brought it out shortly.We then ordered the 10 jumbo wings,Cobb salad,and short ribs..The rest of the food was good but had to ask for dipping sauce for the wings and dressing for the salad...The cob salad was small for the price they charge.The server was hit and miss occasionally checking in on us...they did nothing about the 2 missing clams....

My husband and I used to love their burgers. Unfortunately, the last two times we ordered burgers, we requested them cooked medium well, and on both occasions, they were burnt. Very disappointing.

Service kinda slow. Food was so-so. Nothing to write home about. Good drinking spot however.

Good selection out door seating good tap beers. Wings are offered fried and grilled but too soft. They are humongous. Really eclectic smart burgers.

I had the wings a second time and the wings I think were grilled and they were amazing.

I order the pie on the menu which had corn beef mashed Swiss cheese and Russian dressing and it s one of the best things I ve ever eaten. It doesn t have the traditional pie your thinking like a pot pie and it s delicious.

Decent pub food. Very loud. Okay if you want to watch sports and drink.

Really good food, portions were good. Our server, Victoria was wonderful. Very attentive, and always checking to see if there was anything we needed. Will absolutely be coming back.

I been here many times with family and friends. Went there this past Sunday at my fathers request for his bday. First, at 4pm they are out of fish and out of another meal of my father's choosing. My wife and my dad chose the salmon with brussel sprouts ... disgusting. The brussel sprouts were not cooked enough and salmon tasted bad. My sister had the over cooked dry chicken fingers. The big kick in the nuts was that i ordered the pub burger.. they came out with a steak... THERE WAS NO STEAK ON THE MENU!!! HOW THE HELL DOES THAT HAPPEN?? The manager was nice enough to come to the table and apologize. He gave my wife and dad new food. My burger eventually made its way to the table and the manager paid the entire bill. Who ever is in the kitchen demolishing McDonaghs pub business needs a heavy foot swung between their legs and tossed out the door. They are the ones destroying the experience for customers, wait staff, and the poor manager who took care of our mess ups and two other tables that day while we were there for our 2 hour disaster. I am willing to come back again as this was the only time i had a horrible experience, however, it will NOT be any time soon. I will wait until the pretend cooks in the kitchen find the exit door permanently.

Food was ok-drinks were good. Was a weekday so it wasn't crowded. our server was good too.

Went kind of late but ordered a few drinks and later wanted some food. Busboy told us the kitchen was closed and already cleaned at 1050pm but when our server came back he told us that the kitchen was in fact open til 12am. The food was good and the service was sort of attentive but the same busboy proceeded to sweep beneath our feet and grab cups and plates off our table even before we were finished with them without saying a word and just grabbing them from in front of us. I understand that maybe he wanted to go home early but I work at a restaurant and I always expect to work until we actually close and would ask before I took anything off a table and he was very rude about everything. The friend I was with said he had done the same a week ago prior to our visit and that they had told a manager about him which I guess didn t make any difference lol. So in conclusion good food, drinks, and location but rude support staff.

Pretty decent pub with pub food. Open space and bar seating. They sometimes do Karaoke. Decent parking out back.

Had a great time great food good.vibes and watched hockey great surrounding atmosphere. Its right off the garden state parkway 117 easy to get to and not to expensive

Really enjoyed eating here. Our server was really awesome, food was great and it was awesome being able to sit outside to enjoy the weather.

I was just at this pub and watched the 40 something white female bartender ignore me the entire time I was here. She continuously walked over to the couple sitting at the bar by the door and serviced them, refilling their drinks and checking to see if they needed anything. I sat here for almost 40 minutes until the young white skinny male bartender, who ignored me most of the time and did not even look to see if I needed anything, finally casually asked if I was doing alright, after servicing everyone else numerous times. I had to literally flag him down to tell him I was ready to pay, even though he saw the $10 bill in my hand. I hope that the owner of this establishment reads this because I am not coming back here. I am going to post a review on Yelp about my experience as well. I don t even want to make this an issue, but being the only black patron at the bar, I believe this really had something to do with my experience at this heavily white Irish pub today. Very disappointed and annoyed this was my experience today.

Love McDonagh s! The pretzel is to die for! Highly suggest the Sweet Fire Shrimp and Calamari to start! Lobster Mac and Cheese and Blackened Chicken Alfredo are my go to s.

Best wings in town and cold beer in a friendly atmosphere. What more can you ask for in a local pub?
