Emily was great and informative when I called and spoke to her before putting our order in.
We ordered the meals for 4 of ck Francese, ck parm, classic burgers, and mozzarella sticks.

Delivery guy, think his name was Mike, was very nice and brought 4 bags of food neatly packed and a surprise sweatshirt!
Everything was amazing. Even our picky eaters were impressed!
We already recommended them to majority of our neighbors, friends, and people on Facebook that were asking of a new place to try that would deliver!
We will definitely be ordering again!
Thanks for making a tough time enjoyable!

McDonagh's is in the heart of Keyport and, aesthetically, has become a great place for a round or two. However, the food quality and service has declined dramatically. Burgers and wings are decent but nothing to get too excited about. Overall, McDonagh's is a decent bar but when it comes to food, it's a disappointment.

They took forever to serve us. my mother did not get her food until a long time after. they took my utensils I did not even use away and I did not get utensils until a long time after my food was here and my cousins utensils were wrapped up in the napkin completely new and then they were taken away during the appetizers and the food was cold and I am still waiting for a fork

I have been going to McDonagh's Pub since I moved into the area a couple years ago. The new menu that was just released is limited, looks liked prices slightly went up and I can't believe there isn't Fish n Chips on the new menu.

New manager who changed the menu. Food was excellent and the drinks are always good. The staff are always friendly and attentive. It s was great to see a menu change. The manager Neil was pleasant and continued to check up on my girlfriend and I throughout our experience. Would recommend to try this place. If you have already and haven t been recently def try out the new menu!

Excellent food & service. Moderate wait for specials was accommodated for. Large booths especially nice for feeling of private dining. Good selection of beers on draft as well as a various assortment of apps. Irish food specialties, such as corn beef egg rolls, sheperds pie, etc... Definitely the spot for this area, even as far as the water park. Go around the block to water for great sunset as well.

The bar was PACKED my friend bumped into a girl and apologized, but that wasn't enough. I was walking out ahead of the commotion having no idea what was going on. This women proceeded to throw a wine glass at my head which shattered at my feet. She wasn't asked to leave the bar but my friend who accidentally bumped into her in a crowded bar was. I can't believe the bouncers and bartender where OK with this women harassing me and showering me with her drink when I was just walking out midning my own business. Shame on you and your staff for treating to girls who got harassed as the problem and not the victims. I'll be sure to let anyone I know I was treated so poorly for no reason.

The prices are alright, but the service is a bit lacking. I was surprised because they had 3 people behind the bar (which was only about 2/3 full) but still took a while to get drinks for two ordered. The bigger issue was when the barmaid decided to give herself a $10 tip on 5 domestic beers ($25 tab) and disappear to the other end of the bar. It was a shame because we really liked the atmosphere and the choices. Shame about the staff...

Food was great. We did a pick up order and while it did take a little long to get the order (30 minutes) we understand everyone is operating under different circumstances due to the pandemic so they're doing their best. We got a butternut and beet salad with shrimp, fish tacos, jalapeno margarita, regular margarita and a Redbridge beer. Food was excellent. Cooked well and hot. Drinks were served in a plastic bottle with tamper evident tape and good strength and flavor. We will surely be back. The server who took our order was very friendly, too.

I always love the food and they have a great friendly staff. Good evening entertainment most nights. The lunch specials are priced perfectly and you can earn free lunches with the lunch club. One of my favorite local eateries.

My wife and I are huge fans of McDonagh s and have done our best to support you through the pandemic. In fact, it was the first place we went when restaurants opened from the King Murphy shut down. That night we witnessed an all hands on deck effort to run the place like your jobs and livelihoods depended on it. Please keep up that level of commitment as things continue to open up (thanks for the response Chris). We enjoyed the Guinness and the food was excellent as usual.

Update 11/8/20. - McDonaghs really upped its game for those looking for a safe option during these whacked times. Temp check, questionnaire and enforcing social distancing. If you re looking to feel comfortable with indoor dining this is a good option. Food was great Guinness was cold and poured right. Nice job

Went here as a first family outing, post pandemic. Tables were all a good distance apart, all waiters were masked, polite and courteous. My brother's burger was overcooked but they remade it without question and took it off the check, as well. All the food was delicious and good portions, and my margarita was fantastic. Will definitely be coming back!

We've eaten there 3 times since they reopened and each time it felt like we were in the actual restuarant eventhough we were sitting outside or on the patio. Food is tasty, good quality for the price, and the staff was friendly and attentive.

One of the best things about Keyport! Great place to catch a UFC fight and some decent bar food. They used to do $2 taps on Tuesdays but I guess it got a little too popular. Still one of my go-to spots when I'm back in town.

Stopped by for dinner last night and the place was packed! Love the friendly environment and great food! Everything was perfect. The Reuben is the best I ve ever had. Also loved the great deal on wings. (A dozen for $9) Will be back again!

First place in a long time that I didn't have to tell them how to make a shot.. You'd be suprised how many places cant even make a lemon drop but they made it perfect besides the other ones we had.. Definitely will be back in the future!

This place is so inconsistent. This trip, not good. We didn't stay. Asked for a double tequila and club. They don't do doubles but will sell you a shot on the side. Problem was, I think they "forgot" the shot they was suppose to be IN the drink. Drink, terrible. Steak bits, terrible. How bout you put horseradish cream on more then one piece of steak. The crostini was more like melba toast. Terrible. Wings were very good.

Fish and chips today was awful

I've always liked this place. I stop in when I am in the area, usually before heading to a show at the PNC Center nearby. Drinks and food are reasonably priced. Great food. I am upset that the "Po Boys" are no longer on the menu. :( But they have other staples which are just as good.

Came here on Thursday 12/5. Food was awful. I ordered the French onion soup and the southern fried chicken salad. My husband ordered the rosemary chicken dinner.
The soup tasted bitter and came out with a piece of cheese which seemed to be microwaved on to the top. The chicken on the salad was very dry, almost seemed like it was sitting out there for a while, not fresh.
The rosemary chicken came out as two pieces of grilled chicken with no seasoning and a slop of vegetables that looked leftover.
Not sure what was going on in the kitchen but we were the only table in the place so they had no excuse.

I have reviewed this place before but not during the pandemic.
We arrived around 6:30pm and we were pleased that physical distancing was being practiced. The tables were spread far enough a part and the the place was crowded.
Unfortunately I was very hungry and didn't take pictures. We started with Nachos and boneless hot wings. I really don't know what to say. It was amazing, not good but memorable. I have no idea what was on the boneless wings but my God it was good. The nachos had a bite, like sharp cheddar but maybe not. Both were good.
My wife had salad, she said it was good but I hate salad. My daughter had some chicken and pasta thing. She loved it. I had a Reuben and holy cow, the best Reuben ever. We had ice cream for desert. It was good.
Our server, Ryan, he was professional, polite, attentive and had a wonderful attention to detail.
Outdoor seating was awesome!

Food was room temperature by the time it made it to me an hour after I ordered. The waitress was courteous and apologized when she was there but we had to repeat drink orders (some drinks ultimately never even made it to us). Overall it seemed like a pretty bad day. I've come to this location once a week for over three years. The food has been inconsistent over the years and every time I come to like a waitress they disappear and the staff totally change. I'm not sure what's going on but I will continue to come for trivia but no other reason. Seems like staffing is an issue for management. I wouldn't suggest McDonaugh's for any other reason than the trivia.

Only gave 4 stars because the wait staff was a bit spotty. Otherwise a nice Irish pub. Fish & chips was good, as was the steak and corn beef casserole. Drink selection was what you would expect at a Irish pub. Eat indoors or out, depending on your mood. The live music outside was a bit loud. Go walk on the waterfront after your stay.

Excellent Irish pub. They often have live music. On nice days they open up large windows in the front and have a large outdoor seating area. The Chili's good, the corn beef excellent, and their homemade chips are bang'n.
