We have a family of assorted food allergies and the waitress and chefs worked with us flawlessly to accommodate. From the appetizers, to the bar drinks to desserts. We had an absolutely fantastic experience. The caviar and tater tots was the most delectable accompaniment to our amazing main courses. The pork chop was perfectly juicy and flavorful. The scallops were masterfully seared and tender. The duck was to die for and the swordfish was splendid. I cannot say enough about how incredible the food and staff are. We visited from Texas, Singapore and New York. We are all still craving the caviar and tater tots, so when we return to Charleston...this will definitely be our first stop!!!! Thank you for making our last meal and birthday celebration in Charleston the most memorable affair of all!! When I recall the waitress' name I will update this post.

This restaurant was saved on our trip list because of the great reviews. It is about 6-7 miles away from historic downtown but not incredibly out of the way. The outside looks small and rundown but inside there is treasure. The food here is delectable, very well-prepared with great seasoning. The chicken in the chicken and waffles is pecan-crusted.

We went to McCrady's Tavern to celebrate our anniversary and it certainly surpassed all expectations. The food is inventive and makes excellent use of local ingredients, but would still appeal to those with more traditional palates. The servers are exceptionally knowledgeable, attentive, and professional; every recommendation our server made was perfect. Tommy Marcinko, the general manager, really went out of his way to make our visit a memorable experience!

Excellent tasting menu, is up their for one of the best ones we have done (not the best but close). The Carolina gold rice with the broth was absolutely amazing. I love when you take a simple ingredient and pull out so many flavors. They had a wagyu beef supplement, which we added. It was nice but not necessary to make the meal amazing. Great place for a special occasion meal.

McCrady's was exceptional in all aspects. The food was so delicious, it was unlike anything I've ever experienced. The service was above and beyond, catering to dietary needs excellently. An awesome experience for a special occasion.

Food was over the top and outstanding. Things were put together that in my opinion don't belong together, yet tasted amazing. Had great service and loved the atmosphere. I would not go here often, but for a VERY special occasion I would.

We had a couple of really good things and some super disappointing food and the service was not great. Two of us ordered the Roasted Chicken which was tasted great; however, one of the other guests ordered the Pork Porterhouse which came to the table cold, like really cold. All of our plates were not quite hot, but we let it go because eating room temperatue chicken is not the end of the world but the pork was inedible. Rather than make another Pork Porterhouse, they simply heated the existing pork, which had already been cut into (most likely by placing it back on the grill or in the oven) and it totally overcooked it to the point that it became too tough to eat. We also had an order of Crinkle Cut Fries which were terrible. They were fried but they were totally soft and super oily. We asked and they were supposed to be crispy (only one in the bunch had any texture). When we were discussing the Pork Porterhouse, we told them about the Crinkle Cut Fries but they never replaced them or addressed them. Surprising that this happened at McCrady's Tavern. It was a Sunday night so maybe that had something to do with it. Also, our server was not up to par. He tried, but again, maybe it was the Sunday night team. However, I will say that the manager who came to address the situation, was super apologetic and was clearly concerned. One other thing to mention is that the Pomme Puree side was really fantastic. No reason to go back. Lots of other great places in Charleston.

This used to be one of my favorites. I was very disappointed with the Appleby's atmosphere, and the loud music. The food was very good, and the service was wonderful, otherwise I would have given fewer stars. I do not want to pay $100+ for dinner and sit next to young children however adorable they may be. Next time we will walk over for a drink on our way somewhere else to eat, as the cocktails were great.

Dining at McCrady's is truly an amazing experience. From the moment you are greeted at the door it is apparent you are somewhere special. Chef Daniel is a culinary artist! He transforms food into the unimaginable. Cocktails are crafted meticulously as are the amazing desserts and pastries. Teamwork is apparent in a subtle yet efficient way. Hats off to the crew, McCrady's will be a regular stop for me!

This was one of my absolute favorite food experience ever and there have been many great ones. Too amazing for words, but will let the pictures speak for themselves. You can check out their website for the actual tasting menu.

Place was great, love the atmosphere and the food didn't disappoint, started out with half a dozen oysters, had to get another half dozen because they were so good, I would suggest getting the Westbrook Gose to go with them! Dinner and staff were amazing

Very disappointed with such a well known establishment. McCrady's is suppose to be a top performing restaurant with great food and GREAT service. Well I can't comment on the food because we didn't make it that far. After being seated we were served waters and the waiter left without asking if we wanted anything else to drink. Upon returning I asked what was on tap and the response was well it is written on the board ( the board was on top of us so I couldn't get a good angle unless I stood up) so he didn't want to read me all 10 beers... then I decided to scrap that idea and ordered a wine. After 20-25 minutes from being seated we decided to leave without having our drinks or the specials read to us. Very upset when it is your one time a month to get a baby sitter and you have to deal with terrible customer service.

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here. The atmosphere was quiet and cozy, while also quite romantic, leading to a great birthday/anniversary dinner for me and my wife. Would definitely recommend, especially if you're interested in taking a walk along the harbor before or after a special date.

My husband and I enjoyed the tasting menu here. This restaurant may possibly have the most literal execution of farm to table that I have ever seen. The food was very thoughtful and delicious. I loved the wine selections. There was one minor issue: the food and wine portions were a bit too heavy. However, I would definitely come here again.

Overall the experience was good. Food was innovative and tasty, and service outstanding. Wines (on the pairing) though, left a little bit to be desired. Next time (if/when I get back to Charleston) I would just order a bottle or a couple of wines by the glass.

Holy moly this was amazing! So many courses and wine pairings, it was absolutely phenomenal. This was a truly incredible experience. Service was fantastic and watching the dishes being created was even better. I can't wait to come back and try this again! Also have to say the playlist was on point, I realized that I need to listen to Vampire Weekend again!

Mcradys was an incredible experience, worth every penny! I don't think I had a bad bit all evening and the wine pairings were incredible! My wife and I actually did one base pairing and one resevere, which I highly recommend as it was great to taste such a broad spectrum of wines. If your are celebrating and just looking for an amazing time I would 100% recommend!

If you want to have the best meal, out of all the best places in Charleston, have an experience here. My partner and I have have been coming to Charleston for three decades. McCrady's stays at the cutting edge of wonderful cuisine. We rank it among the top five in the city, but last night it was No. 1. Even the broclini side dish was amazing. the Scallops were so very fresh and tender and presented so well. Pumpkin soup with the "crouton" was like nothing we have ever had. Fried octopus was so tender and delicious. and the deserts! well, the "crepe" was amazing. Service was impeccable. Wonderful wine list accommodating any budget. Best 2 1/2 hours we spent! nice an relaxing, and delicious.

We went for drinks and apps at the bar. Amazing food and service. The friendly and knowledgeable staff in addition to the great atmosphere made us want to come back to Charleston. Check this place out!

Easily the best meal I have ever had. This is modernism and presentation in cusine taken to an extreme without compromising taste in the slightest. The courses are all served small plate style meaning you will need to order 2-3 entrees to make a meal, so factor that into your price planning. The beauty of the food and the effect of the staff bringing all entrees to every guest at a table simultaneously makes a very unique and lasting impression. The cocktail was incredible, I had a garden gnome. It was made with pureed green tomatoes and begonia flowers. The result is a cross between a green bloody mary and a spiked lemonade.

This was our second time at McCrady s and it was even better than the first one. I gave them a second chance because of the great wine paring from the first time. The service was excellent both times!!! The wine paring amazing!! But the great thing was the tasting menu, at this second time we were served warm/hot food and not cold or room temperature plates.

great food and excellent service. our pork dish was undercooked and they took it back apologetically and brought us complimentary side dishes and the main. our waitress from new york city remain as friendly and chatty and the manager came by to apologies and make sure everything was not just ok but happy for all and thats beyond expectation. keep it up guys .

We had a wonderful meal. Everything was fresh, seasonal and interesting. Not to mention the fact that the service was amazing. I have to admit I was a little worried about having dinner here when I found out that Sean Brock was gone - but it turned out to be the best meal we had in Charleston. Thank you!

Sure, Google 5 stars, but they deserve 1 Michelin star. Worth every penny. Get the tasting menu and the reserve wine pairings. Outstanding service. Nothing better in Charleston. Beats Circa and SNOB and Hall's.

Dinner was an amazing adventure with a delightful waitress who was very knowledgable. Bread from tiller bread was delicious. I had the duck, my son the scallops, my mom the bucatini and my daughter in law the filet mignon. For dessert we had the brownie.. it did not disappoint would highly recommend

Went for a late 8:30pm dinner with 5 others. There were issues with with our table bc the previous guests stayed much longer after paying their bill. The manager and hostess kept us aware of the situation and when we were seated brought us free appetizers. They did everything they could to accommodate us.
The food was wonderful and the so were the drink selections.
I would highly recommend.

We made a reservation for 9pm at this restaurant a couple weeks in advance when we couldn't get into Husk. Beer selection is out of this world. I had the raw oysters, local fish of the day with house vegetables, and the Baked Alaska. Delicious traditional fare with a mostly casual atmosphere. Ingredients locally sourced, but menu doesn't change on a daily basis.

Wow! What a fabulous and tasty evening this was! We were treated like VIP's in the newly renovated restaurant and relished a 3+ hour meal specially designed for our vegan needs while jamming on the Van Halen, Tribe Called Quest, and other classics. Master Chef Sean Brock even created for us a uniquely scrumptious vegan dessert--deconstructed microgastronomized warm peach pie with upscale 'jimmies' on top. And he served us himself! How humbling and delightful. (And what a super friendly and engaging guy he is.) If I had more than two thumbs, they'd all be up. If you're anywhere near Charleston, this is a must-do!
