Our dinner tonight was great and Scott made it even better

The food was good but overpriced. The view was nice and we really enjoyed happy hour. I would go here again. Parking was a real pain. If you can't fins mwter parking just use the garage.

The service we just experienced made our wedding weekend highly uncomfortable. We were left waiting on our server to take our order and bring us drinks even though at the time we were the only table in his section. Later on, the other tables in our section were also frustrated with our server. One table got up and left completely while the other requested a different server. We would have done the same, however, the manager asked if we would like a new server when the current one was within hearing distance. The server then came back and made a passive aggressive comment very loudly to us after the table next to us had a new server. He also had forgotten part of our order but we were so uncomfortable we didn't want to mention it, we just wanted him to leave. The rest of our evening there was very uncomfortable and we just wanted to pay and get on with our weekend. When we asked for our check the waiter could have brought it within 30 seconds but instead we saw him socializing with other servers for several minutes before returning to our table. It was a very disappointing experience. We will not be coming back.

Attentive service, good food and great setting for socializing.

Decent food, but expensive. You also run into the yacht club crowd, so if you're looking for something uniquely Portland, go elsewhere.

Hated my whole experience. I reserved tables for my husbands surprise birthday party and when my guests arrived the tables weren't even set up yet. I signed papers and expected them to do what I wanted them to do but it was not even near to what I wanted. They printed one check for the whole table and would not re print separate checks. Server was horrible; wouldn't ask if everything was OK; ran off as soon as she dropped off our food; she wasn't polite and was rude.Spit in our drinks, found hair in our food. Ended up paying way more than we ordered. Will NEVER go back there again.

Great food, but the drinks took too long. Didn t receive a drink for the last hour and a half of the meal.

Fabulous food, modern yet warm atmosphere, great service, and a beautiful view of the river. Just perfect!

My fish and chips were really good. Hot, crispy on the outside and tender inside. Tasty, crisp French fries.
My wife's ordered shrimp with her dish. The shrimp had no taste, even failing to rival cardboard.
We could/should have ordered a pizza delivered to our hotel room--pretty doggone dependable nowadays from most places

Delightful harborside dining. As a gluten free vegan, options were limited. I enjoyed a great salad with walnuts, avocado and fresh greens, wild rice with spinach and mushrooms and grilled asparagus....and one or two margaritas. Great venue and service!

Service was great . Food was just okay.
Not what we expected. Crabcakes were very bready...ie. full of filler.
As were the seafood stuffed shimp. Not horrible but I will go elseahere next time.

I had a burger here, my coworkers had steak and fish. Everything was amazing.

Good food, hospitable and accommodating staff. My one nitpick is when it came time to pay the bill, the waiter suggested that I join the membership club, and gave me a few be details; but as she was walking away she said as an afterthought - and loud enough that both our table and the people next to us - "and because you're over X dollars, you'll get back $50 right away." Not exactly discrete...

Just got back from McCormick & Schmick's Harborside. The dinner as good and a nice place at 30 a plate, 120+ tab with tip. I hesitate to go that area because parking is difficult, but they give a parking validation so I decided to try it. Well, the validation must come from the manager and you have to wait for him to get a blue parking validation ticket...no little stamp or something. I tried to use the $4 parking credit, but the voice response from the parking machine was invalid parking ticket. I tried all orientations and looked at the instructions on the machine...yep I was doing it right. I had to pay for the parking...couldn't really repark to ask him for another credit. I decided to take a risky front parking spot to mention this to the manager as it put a damper on what had been a nice evening. The manager had closely inspected the ticket before he gave it to me, oddly so, I thought, before he handed it to me...kinda strange. Well I find him again and mention the bad parking ticket. He shuffles through his tickets and states"they just gave me these". I told him it says 2/29/2014 and indicates expired when I use it. I handed him the invalid ticket. He offered me another parking ticket and I told him that won't do me any good, I did not repark the car and come to talk to him, I paid to get out of the parking. He says"Well sorry..." and I said "Thats it?....Pretty cheesy" . I mean, I hate to confront people and I don't like to get angry, public fuss and all that but his response as a manager was awful. He could have easily offered a drink at the bar, a credit, anything, but he did not. The close examination by the manager when he gave it to me indicated to me he saw it was a 6 month old parking ticket. I won't go back, crappy treatment after an expensive dinner. Definitely ruined our evening. I guess I could have left my wife on her cane with her broken foot brace and reparked, asked the manager for another ticket, gone back and tried to get out of the parking with another $4 validation ticket.....but that didn't seem reasonable. Thanks for a crappy night McCormicks.

Nothing wrong with the place, there are just so many better options in Portland.

My friend and I had a lovely time here. Austin our server was top-notch: friendly, and helpful with impeccable service. The view of the marina is gorgeous, and the food delicious and reasonably priced. The manager, Chris (If I'm recalling his name correctly) also made us feel welcome and valued. Spend a summer's eve at Harborside... or a crisp fall afternoon or a cozy winter's brunch.... :-) you'll love your time here.

Amazing food, beautiful views and elegant atmosphere

Not good. Their food quality has decreased so much which is a shame. IT's a beautiful place by the water, but the quality of good is low.

Very, very friendly, perfectly clean, and extremely classy. We arrived on a -very- busy day, and were expecting a long wait for food and drink. Still they were incredibly fast, waited on you hand and foot, and the food was incredible. Never thought a stake so expensive would be worth it: It was.

I Brought my Daughter here for her Birthday The food was Just Delicious. And the Service was Top Notch will be back.

Great location near the Willamet River and Down Town. Has plenty of public parking nearby. Server was great and Filet was good too.

Hubby and I came to Portland for a few days. This place was recommended to us. We went in for a late lunch. Wait person/server/drink maker was very pleasant. Food was delicious! Mixed drinks...refreshing!

Great place to go if you're homeless or need a hot meal and living on the street

Amazing fish and chips. Also had shrimp kisses. Bacon wrapped stuffed with pepperjack cheese. Super amazing!!

Had anazing cocktail 24K Bubbly. Very expensive but worth a one time try. Had the oysters parmesan pesto, pesto was to over powering. Mussels were good. Lobster bisque was very salty. Halibut was very good.

Excellent food! Certainly pricy ($80 for a steak, burger, beer and tip), but great atmosphere, nice view of the river and marina. Perfect service and tasty food, but it should be for the price.

This has been one of our favorite special date night spots. The waterfront locale, delicious seafood, and great drink options make it perfect for a romantic dinner.

Possible the worst service I ve received in a long time. I understand being understaffed, but not communicating with the tables at all for over an hour is unacceptable. Even had a hard time finding a person to try and close out our bill! We just wanted to leave at that point and no one would take our card as they weren t our server.

Beautiful afternoon on the banks of the Willamette River overlooking the marina.

Had Walnut salad, strawberry salad, class chowder and crab tower. Service was excellent and all dishes were flavorful. The crab tower was cool and refreshing.

Beautiful views but food was overpriced and decent in taste

Nice atmosphere, attentive wait staff without hovering, and the food was absolutely delicious.

Our waiter, Austin, was fabulous. Knew the menu, and recommeded surrounding areas for "next stop" visits to enjoy while in PDX. Priceless to someone who has limited time of days available.

Went for Thanksgiving dinner and it was terrible! The turkey was like pressed lunch meat, the stuffing soggy, green beans undercooked, instant mashed potatoes to boot! The gravy was ok. When we signalled our waitress, told her we were finished & our plates were far from empty, she asked & we told her it tasted like lunch meat. She told her boss, came back to see if we wanted to order anything to replace the meal to which we turned down. When she returned once again, I assume after another chat with the boss, she told us they were comping both meals except for my glass of wine. It was the right thing for them to do. The boss came out also to tell us they had been cooking turkey for 3 days to be prepared for the reservations made. But, that was absolutely not the kind of feathered turkey you get at Grandma's house! Perhaps at the neighborhood tavern for a lunch special!
Very disappointed in meal. Restaurant, waitress, & view were all good!

Nice view and seating...the food was very good. The salmon sizziling is excellent. Good kids menu. Dessert (flowerless chocolate truffles) was average.

The positive is that the staff are attentive and helpful. However, the food is just, "meh." Both my appetizer. shrimp and crab cake, and my signature Scottish salmon were undercooked. The appetizer was straight up cold in the middle and I sent it back. I thought the salmon with a beet reduction might be interesting, and it was different. But the fish was not cooked through and just barely warm in the center. Which some may like, but I feel is a failure to cook the fish properly.

The atmosphere is kind of weird too. Warm wood accented with what I would call "hotel abstract" art. The music was a mix of 70's and 80's good music played at such a low volume as to be almost elevator music. At one point, I detected the Clash's "Police and Thieves," which, okay. But really, at dinner.

I guess it's fine for drinks and nibbles by the marina. But if you want quality seafood, just go to Jakes, who own the place.

We went there during happy hour the food was good but my mojito was okay.

Had a great time. After 2 years of being gone, we came to visit and Manuel remeber us and provided the best services!!
I will always come back because of the few employees that always make us feel special.

The restaurant has a wonderful tiered view of the river so that a lot of people have a view. Food was a bit buttery but good.

All our food was way to salty . Very disappointing .

The service was perfectly fine, but the food.... I have no idea how this place got 4 stars (people be lying), it was 3 of us, and we all got something different; halibut, salmon, and king crabs, the only way to describe it is that the drenched it in water to remove any flavors. Even the butter was watered down. Not even salt and lemon could save any of those dishes.

Avoid the public parking garages nearby or get back early, they ticket the moment your time is up. Asked for my check 15 minutes prior and had to request it again 20 min later. Enjoyed their food, but be diligent with the parking or be ready to spend another $58.

The service was very slow , I was there about 15 minutes before I even saw a server, the person that seated us was rude...Not heading back there any time soon

Thursday half off wine bottles! Desserts and seafood also superb! Arrive early for riverfront seating.

Service was slow and it wasn't busy at all. Food, think TGIF on the waterfront....but overpriced.
