The food was under seasoned and our entrees took a really long time to be served. My husbands potatoes were cold, my salmon over cooked and dry. All in all disappointing. We asked to speak to a manager since our waitress hadn't stopped by and the manager's response was well you ate most of it. Yea, it's a $35 meal each and no one came to check on us. What were we supposed to do?! Wait until our waitress bothered to check on us to ask for our food to be remade after waiting an excessive amount of time for it to begin with. And to top it off we spent that free time staring at a spider dangling down from the ceiling.

The appetizers, oysters and drinks were great. Then we got to the main course: fish and chips. They were way too salty (I like salty food, but this was just gross), soggy, and mostly breading. Disgusting. Won't be back.

It's an ok place; the food is average but cheap, and the atmosphere is on the corporate side of things. It's somehow pretty busy here most Friday evenings when my company comes here for happy hour.

The restaurant is divided into two parts. I went to the left side which is more relaxed and has the bar. My first time in Portland, so I was a bit disappointed that the seafood menu was dominated by Eastern fare... NE clam chowder, Maine lobster, etc. I'm sure the Mexico-sourced octopus would have been fine, but at that point, and given the early afternoon hour, I opted for a delicious local beer coupled with tasty truffle fries and went on walking down the river. Good quick stop on a walk but don't expect a unique local dining experience.

Ok. I. Want to start this by saying the service was fantastic. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the servers. Some of the dishes needed just a bit of work. Our food was just served messy. Something I didn't expect for the. Price point of the restaurant. I had the crusted chicken with pasta. The chicken was obviously the quality of Tyson frozen chicken. With a fancy preparation. The pasta on the other hand was absolutely fantastic. The plates came untidy. Just a little attention to plating should have made a huge difference. In all we had a very enjoyable night.

Amazing Patio and view of the river best patio in Portland. Happy Hour is one of the best I have seen in the city as well. Dining room is tiered seating for the best view of the river. Bar is sports bar brewery with Full Sail beers 26 beers on tap almost all local brews. Had one of my best meals here..local seafood when in season on the menu. Right now they have Columbia River King Salmon and Coho Salmon. Halibut and Swordfish from the Pacific.

Love this place for Happy Hour. Menu is great along with the drinks. Friendly place to meet friends and enjoy the view of the Marina. Outside seating and a separate dinner side to have a private intimate dinner.
Great value and great customer service.

We came here for lunch. The place has great outdoor seating, appetizers and drinks were meh, oysters were good but sooo tiny, entrees were good, service was meh and they casually gave us the wrong (more expensive) version of what we actually ordered.

I joined three friends for dinner on January 10, 2019. Service was attentive and friendly. The server offered two recommendations from the chef. I selected Hawaiian Bigeye Ahi Tuna* Seared Rare / Sesame Cucumber Salad / Sticky Rice (330 cal) $31. What arrived would have been a disappointing appetizer let alone a $31 entree. I enjoy traditionally prepared rare ahi but this fish was flacid & completely tasteless. The seasame cucumber salad was nothing more than a meager garnish as there was literally less than a tablespoon on the plate. Sticky rice is always a lump of cold starch wherever it's on the menu so I won't complain too much about that but I was so hungry I actually ate some of the frigid, miserable stuff.
The only redeeming feature of the meal was the glorious white chocolate mousse-filled dark chocolate "bag" with fresh berries we shared for dessert. It was beautiful, delicious and more than an ample portion for four.

2 stars is being a little generous. I paid $44 for something not on the menu at McCormick and Schmick's...diarrhea. Some things to consider when planning to come here. It's going to be expensive. Plan on spending around $80 for 2 dinner entrees not including your drinks. Add alcoholic drinks and dessert and your tab will be well over $100. I don't drink alcohol, but even the sodas were expensive. The atmosphere is nice if you sit outside by the marina. The staff is fast and professional. My server was really nice. Get a reservation especially on the weekends evenings. Your food will take a while to reach you. Last, the food is hit or miss, which for over $30 a plate is unacceptable. There are good (dinner) menu options if you like seafood, salads, or steak. No burgers sandwiches, or chicken. I got the fish and chips for $23.50. That's 4 pieces of COD not halibut. I can get that at other sit down restaurants for half that. Fries were good and the tarter sauce was incredible. What ruined it was my fish was overcooked and rubbery. Batter was good though. My parents and son got the steak with stuffed shrimp, parmesan sole, and McCormick's seafood trio. The portions were small, the green beans were cooked weird, and it was overall a C- for the food. The desert (got the chocolate bag) was very good, but very expensive, like $12. Here's my recommendation. Go to Beaches or McGraths or Joe's Crab Shack if you want good surf and turf. Costs half of McCormick's for what I think is better food.

Had dinner outside. perfect setting on a warm Portland Oregon evening. Food delicious, service needs some help. Had to ask numerous times for water, our appetizers were not correct so the chef made up for it. So getting the main meal, not sure where the waitress was. Overall still s nice experience.

I don't give five stars lightly.

I don't give five stars lightly.

This is hands down the best salmon I've ever had, before even getting into the unbelievable wine reduction sauce for the veggies. The table bread was so good it should have been a menu item. Plus excellent friendly service!

My wife and I, had a great time dining here this evening to celebrate both my veterans day and birthday 11/11. Our waitress "Laura" was fantastic! The food was delicious, and the cocktails were really good. I am very grateful that M &S supports us on Veterans Day each year with a free entree. Absolutely happy we chose to dine here. See you again soon!

Thursday night we found they run the 1/2 price wine bottles and this makes for a great evening without breaking the bank... I always recommend this place since it would be really a rare occurrence to get a bad meal here and the wait staff would fix it anyway... The view here is quite nice looking over the water....

Stay away from the Dungeness crab tower for an app, not worth it. The mixed seafood grill trio was very good, as well as the filet and stuffed shrimp. Great location on the riverwalk. Very nice spot.

If there was a way to give zero stars, that's what this restaurant deserves. The atmosphere is super pretentious, expensive, and the quality of food is hit or miss. The wait staff doesn't seem to want to bother with you if you don't order a drink. I have been displeased too many times during both group and solo dining experiences. Also, the one time i did have a drink it wasn't very good. Waste of money.
