Great selection overall. Great nursery selection, hard to find hardware items that a true hardware store should have, unique gift items. The rental and repair guys are the best. And everyone in the whole store is super helpful with the "can I help you find something?" type service. You don't get this selection or service from the big box stores.

We used their rental service to utilize a bounce house for our son's birthday party. Not only was it above and beyond what we could have hoped for, let alone the joy our son and friends gained from it but the staff was wonderful. Due to no fault of their own they were super accommodating when things on our end went sideways. They not only helped make his birthday one of a kind and memorable but they also gained a customer for life. Highly recommend!
I used their services for the first time today. I had to mail a package UPS and the gentleman that waited on me went above and beyond in helping me package my item and was very kind and courteous. Their prices were extremely reasonable. I will be a return customer to their store and highly recommend you stop by and check them out
Nice place and great people. Went looking for a rare item but didn't find it. Was helped on were to find this item and if I was unable to, the gentlemen would help to figure another solution to my conundrum. Will definitely be going back to that store.
Went here to have copies of my house keys made and a copy of my car key. Told me they wouldn't do my car key because I had my own own blank, even though they have multiple times before. The kid working seemed lazy with a bad attitude. I guess they like to lose business, won't be coming back here for anything I need. This place doesn't put customers first.

They are very helpful, alot of knowledge. If you need advice they have someone to talk to. They have bulk nuts and bolts, get whatever amount you need. They have rental equipment, outdoor party stuff to items to dig, saw or lift, fill your propane tank. Indoor or outdoor they probably have what your looking for. Also have a nice gift area.

I have done buisness with them for over 25 years and two locations. If they don't have it or can't get it......forget it. Knowlegable staff and quite helpful.

This a great little locally owned Ace Hardware. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The selection is great. This store also features a small hallmark section which is wonderful for home decorating and small gifts.
I give it a 5 star because they have employees that know their inventory and their product however, this is another business that is ridiculously high priced

I have been coming here all of my life. I have fond memories poking around the crowded old location when it was next to the granary when my dad would bring me as a boy. Now my dad has passed and I bring my daughter here to the new location all the time. You will not find better staff anywhere, PERIOD! They are knowledgeable, friendly, and very patient. They will help you make the right decision and give advice to save you time and money. I admit that I am not mechanically minded at all, but they have repeatedly helped me think a project through and recommended the right tools and parts to do the job. After I complete the job I usually realize that I would not have had the right tools or bought the right parts had it not been for their service. Their selection is more than adequate, and the store is very nicely organized although I admit I liked the old store layout better especially with the cashiers, but I am getting used to it. Although the prices may be slightly higher here than at Lowes or Home Depot, just try and get any service from those stores, and it quickly becomes obvious that the extra price (if any) is more than worth it in time saved and the ability to ask questions and get competent answers. In conclusion, I want to give a quick example of when I went into Lowes looking for a fan last Spring:
Me to teenage store clerk: "Where are your fans, I can't find them" Clerk: "What do you mean by fans?" Me: "You know fans to keep you cool that blow air" Clerk: "I am not sure what you mean do you want air conditioners?" Me: "No just a fan that can sit on my desk and blow air to keep me cool" Clerk: "Ohhh, right I think they might be in aisle 5". When I went to aisle 5 it was nothing but ceiling fans and when I went back to find the clerk they had disappeared. I quickly left the store and went to Mcauliffe's and paid the same price Lowes had advertised on their website. The time it took me to drive across town to Mcauliffe's, find the fans, and pay for it was still less time it took me to waste my time at Lowes: lesson learned.

If you need fasteners, such as nuts, bolts, screws, and the hard to find stuff, this is the place to go. I almost never go to the big blue or big orange store when I want fasteners, but when I do I usually wish I'd come here, or send up here to find what I need.

I went into the store, looking for wood filler for a piece of furniture my husband and I are refinishing. I walked right up to the desk in the paint section and told the two young women behind the counter what I was looking for. One of them led me right to the wood filler. I selected the size I needed and went to the checkout and brought the item. Quick and simple because I was assisted right away. This is what I expect at McAuliffe's Ace.

I needed a piece of glass for an antique book shelf and was impressed by the care taken to measure and to cut the size needed. The restored book shelf is now complete and functional after years of non-use.
This multi-generation hardware store gets it right. They've got expert in every section to help figure out your problem and are always bringing in new and fresh brands to try. Don't go to a national store until you've tried McAuliffe's first!

Great local hardware store when you don't want to deal with big box retail. Much more helpful when finding what you need. I work for Honda, and this is where they buy there tools.
They usually have what I need more than Lowe's or Home Depot or any of the other places even TSC her Menards to or not Menards but live Bernards around here but royal king

Nice people but horrible rental equipment. Unfortunately, they are the only rental place open on the weekend. If you need a single nut or bolt then it's the place to go but otherwise look elsewhere.
