Small but quint museum with several Dutch masters, like Rembrandt's anatomy lesson and their top painting by Vermeer - The Girl with the pearl earring. Two floors, but accessible with a elevator.

Beautiful. Too bad about the queue for the exhibition, but that is why the normal collection was still beautiful with many strikingly beautiful paintings by old masters.

Very nice, it is worth the price, a little high, but they have a good collection of Rembrant, and .... The girl from the Pearl, what more could you ask for? And additionally a great collection of Flemish painters, it is very much enjoyed

One of my favourite museums from my trip to the Netherlands. If you are in Den Haag then I strongly recommended you go. Adult tickets were only 14 Euros and below 18 are free. If you just came from Amsterdam and saw the Rembrandt in the Riksmuseum then you will be suprised to see this extensive collection. The museum has a cozy but extravagant layout hosing the famous Girl with the Pearl Earing. The museum itself is close to some beautiful buildings and so I recommend spending time in this area.

Many art enthusiasts visit to see a girl wearing a Permeer pearl earring called the Mona Lisa of Nordic Europe. This is a wonderful museum that provides an environment where you can enjoy many works of art such as Rembrandt's work anatomy class.

Currently it is only possible to visit with reservation and e-ticket. It is not possible to pass and resolve to enter

Gallery in which you can see "Girl with a pearl". In the immediate vicinity of the Dutch parliament. Worth seeing.

Modern entrance, free WIFI and App, great tour and (the most important) a big amount of old Dutch painters (e.g. Rembrandt, ...), really worth to visit

This was the first time I had stood in front of a Vermeer. The picture "Girl with the Pearl Earring" is inexpressibly beautiful and that's why the visit would have been worthwhile. But the many other pictures I found fascinating. If I have another chance to come to Den Haag, I will definitely drop by again.

Tips: 1) Download the Mauritshuis 2nd canvas app before you visit and get acquainted with the masterpieces. 2) The masterpieces are hung in the exhibition hall just to your left after you descend down the stairs and enter the main entrance. 3) Start viewing the exhibits from the top 3rd floor (thinner crowd).

In addition to Girls with an earring, there is more than just to please the eye, but to froze with delight.

Not a large museum, but a very beautiful mainly 17th century paintings.

Nice to see how much money the oranges have earned with trade in spices and slaves.

I was pleasantly surprised when I visited this place, the collection here is marvelous and gives you a good insight into pre modern Dutch society .The girl with the pearl earring is an absolute delight apartment from that Rembrandt's The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp is an absolute delight. This place is almost never crowded.

Among the top five museums in Europe. Here is the golden age of Holland represented. Vermeer, Rembrandt, Frans Hals, Holbein etc.
Paintings previously seen in the artwork. The shop and restaurant are absolutely affordable. In the shop you will find good gifts at very good prices.

Well laid out and not extremely busy. Some great paintings on show. Under 18's free entry so kids did enjoy the visit also

The Mauritshuis is an absolutely top notch art museum in a very pleasant setting. The showpiece of course is the Girl with the Pearl Earring painted by Johannes Vermeer around 1665 - and played by Scarlett Johansson in the movie with the same name. This priceless small painting is in several top tens of best paintings globally ever (try and Google it). But there are numerous other top pieces in the museum such as a number of Rembrandts. All displayed in a very intimate setting, the former house of Johan Maurits, the governor of Dutch Brazil in those days.

one of the best museums that I visited. it is not to big so can be visited in a morning and get impressed with the paintings of the golden age painters.

Unexpected pleasure visit

After years of not seeing my good friend Maurits, sometimes more than a good friend, I could finally see him again. I had taken some courage with the delicious half liters of the Aldi in Scheveningen and had put on my '' RUSTAAAGHH '' shirt.

I completely forgot to ask for his new address in The Hague. My delicious half liters gave me the great idea to just google maps.

Immediately I stood there, in front of Maurice's house. Not quite what I expected, nice house Mau I thought ... Finally had a nice afternoon in the Haagsche bos after the change of the guard with another visitor, see you soon!

Wonderful museum. Easy to navagate and not so crowded. It isn't really a "hidden gem," but it sure feels like one. Not to be missed. Less touristic than other places!

Awesome museum. The concentration of excellent works is the highest!

Buy tickets on the spot. Audio guides can be downloaded directly at no additional cost (Chinese). In the art museum, although it is not too big, the collection is not very large, but it is also very enjoyable to go shopping. It was only expected to wait for an hour, and then stayed for two and a half hours. Come to The Hague!

Excellent, do not miss visiting the Dutch Monalisa. Vermeer's milkmaid.

Apart from the masterpieces a museum as it should be and in which you can enjoy 100% of the paintings without distracting multimedia misery and other playground attributes.

If you visit The Hague even for a day, you cannot miss this splendid museum, where fantastic and famous works by Flemish painters are exhibited, including Rembrandt (as Anatomy Lessons), Veemer (the girl with a pearl earring) and many others, you take your breath away. On Thursdays they close later at 20, at least in summer time

The master pieces of golden age Dutch paintings can be witnessed here. I was there in great enthusiasm!

One of the most beautiful museum I've ever seen. If you like like 1600 flemish paintings it's a must see. Medium size museum just two floors. Amazing still life and portraits.

A building with impressive look like Harry Potter outside the museum. The photograph shooting is OK inside the building. Earring girls are placed to be seen at the end.

Come and sit w the art. Not a large museum but a wonderful selection of Dutch artists.

Building is beautiful inside and outside. Easy to navigate. A good collection and sufficient places to sit down. If you plan your visit well, there won't be any problem with paintings being crowded - not even the Girl with a Pearl Earring.
