The Mauritshuis is always fantastic to visit. The permanent collection is always worth a new acquaintance, so I can endlessly look at the girl with the pearl. But also the temporary exhibitions are almost always beautiful and interesting. Last visited, the works of Dutch masters from the National Trust.
A very nice museum, authentic integration of the halls with beautiful paintings, but also modern exhibition space, brasserie and museum shop.
Highly recommended even if you are not a real art connoisseur. Put the app on your phone and you have the story with every painting
Excellent museum to discover the Dutch art of the 15th 16th and 17th century
The staff is so polite! My experience was short but more than worthy!
The building alone is already beautiful.
And then also the own collection!
Rembrandt, Vermeer, Jan Steen... This is heaven for art lovers.
Nice museum also easily accessible for disabled people.
I myself live in the painter's neighborhood so I thought that Paul's potter would like to see him in the Maurits house
Beautiful building. Great work. Could add a little more info
A compact but diverse collection of exceptional masterpieces in a beautiful building that has been very well preserved.
Nice museum generally easily accessible for the disabled. Beautiful old masters and a changing exhibition.
Outstanding 17th century artwork. You must visit this if you are in The Hague.
It has an interesting collection of paintings and here is "the pearl girl"
The audio tour reveals many interesting and sometimes intriguing details in the paintings. Beautiful place to visit!
One of my favoriate place! They have a collection of some world famous
paintings, including:Girl with a Pearl Earring,View of Delft,De anatomische les van Dr. Nicolaes Tulp,Ice Scene,Old Woman and Boy with Candles.
Worth a second/third and thousand visiting!
Very beautiful painting and so many wonderful good things could buy in the shop.
Nice to see all these famous paintings in real life
The museum is small and can be read in about two hours. The collection is very good, the museum's booklet is also very helpful, and which room has a very famous name is clearly marked. With headphones, because you can download the app from this museum, you can use the audio guide. It doesn't matter if you don't bring it, the museum itself has an audio guide. Not far from the train station, walking distance, there are other museums nearby. Very good experience.
The art gallery in addition to exhibiting very important paintings and very well organized.
A beautiful building with great paintings from the time of the Romantic / Realism. Unfortunately, the museum is not very large and in principle you are ready quickly (high entrance fee is not in proportion). When we entered, a scary guy from the bank giro lottery immediately approached us with so-called free tickets. It detracts from the Mauritshuis's class if you ask me, but is above all very annoying. As well as the many generally unsympathetic security guards. Very exaggerated! Toilets were also very dirty. About 15 years ago I was also in the Mauritshuis and I liked that visit a lot better. But of course everything used to be better! ;) Will give it another chance in another 15 years ...
Beautiful collection in a well renovated palace. In the museum shop a nice assortment with the paintings that can be seen.
Nice location, but found the museum a bit disappointing. Had a different expectation.
You can listen to the guide for free by downloading the smartphone app. The main pictures are in Japanese. Headphones can be borrowed free of charge near the luggage storage. If you only have pictures that are supported by the Japanese guide, you can go around enough in one and a half hours. The museum is famous for Vermeer's paintings, but large cattle paintings are also recommended.
Booked tickets this morning to view the Dutch masters here at 10.00 am. Definitely worth it. We have been inside + -30 minutes. Don't forget to check out the ceilings.
Any history is beautiful history, but this exhibit is gorgeous!
Great museum. great works small museum to visit in an hour or two
The Royal Picture Gallery is the number 1 museum in The Hague. Great pictures and architecture.
Has an incredible array of paintings, and so many famous ones
An outstanding Dutch artists museum in the Hague. The museum has a cozy feel with it's human sized rooms and the paintings are easily viewed and appreciated on a personal level. Download the museum's app, and through it, you will have an audio guide to most of the exhibited art. Vermeer's masterpieces are displayed here with the city scape in Delft being a personal favorite. Museumkaart is accepted here.
Interesting small museum that collects the collection of a fan of nineteenth century Japan. The ticket is a little expensive
Beautiful building with fine art from the "Golden age". Great to be able to reproduce the fabrics materials and get these facial expressions!
Very well displayed n a good audio system. For a change some of the security guards were well informed to answer queries
Very beautiful, fun and interesting museum. Audio tour is definitely recommended. I enjoyed it anyway. Certainly been over 2 hours.
The real art was the tour guide that took me into the stories surrounding a number of masterpieces. This brought the masters to life.
Beautiful permanent collection and changing exhibition.
Beautiful museum. Daughter (11) was very impressed with all the paintings, stories, texts and the museum as a whole. Brasserie also very nice, modern and tasty.
Beautiful museum in Den Haag. Well kept and well managed. Many works by the main Dutch authors starting from Rembrandt, the highlight is the girl with a pearl earring. Tickets only online with reservation on the museum website.
Very cozy and cozy museum especially the old part. Mainly paintings.
A real experience. Certainly with the accompanying app
Quite a pricey museum compare to the one in Amsterdam, nevertheless some fantastic drawing on display
Property alone is worth seeing. They do well there in a well-arranged exhibition and interpretation of the 1.5 meters.
Historical government museum. Fantastic collections from the golden age of Dutch.
Good Covid related measures, but it does mean queueing for the smaller rooms limited to 2 or 5 people
This museum is small, but it contains some works that you can remember in your school books. Perhaps the most attractive is Vermeer's "The young lady of the pearl" who has even a movie, but what of Rembrandt's "Anatomy Lesson" or his self-portraits. The rooms are small so they are cozy, but with many people can be very overwhelming. To avoid it, try to go first thing in the morning.
Works by Vermeer and sec gold NL. Casa do Mauricio is worth a visit.
It has some wonderful paintings especially the portrait of the girl from the perls
Another beautiful museum, download the app as it's a perfect companion
Very original furnishings and many pictures by well-known painters such as Rembrandt, Vermeer and Steen. I'm not so enthusiastic about art, but discovered there that Rembrandt and Vermeer painted in HDR almost simultaneously. In addition there is the "girl with the pearl earring" as the highlight of the exhibition. My favorite piece was The view of Delft .
Very nice! And well organized so that you can see everything well even when it is busy
Beautiful works, we are quite full of hanging halls that make people in certain spaces stick together.
Beautiful museum. Small and easy to navigate, but with some world-class works like Rembrandt's Anatomy Lesson and Vermeer's Girl With a Pearl Earring. Unmissable if you're in Den Haag
Do the Dutch masters in two floors. No wonder there are so many tourists walking around. Not too expensive and children are free too.
Great collection of Golden Age Dutch masters. Beautiful building.
