Matty's Bar & Grill Review

Food was good but didn't enjoy because the dining room was reserved. Sat in the bar under a speaker.

Lunch here was great. I had the brisket which was delicious and tender with a generous amount of meat. My lunch mate also enjoyed his ruben which also had a pile of meat on the sandwich. Service was also very good, with greeting from staff when we both arrived and left and our waitress was the perfect amount of attentive without hovering around the table.

Had been to Marty's 3 previous times - had always been very good. Went this Saturday night and place was not crowded at all. Waited 10 minutes for waitress to come by - waited almost another 15 minutes for drink order. My wife ordered the perch. It was basically inedible. Food was cool (not cold but definitely not fresh cooked), served with a rock hard dry potato pancakes and some rye bread from the freezer with both pieces stuck together while couldn't be pried apart. Obviously plate had just been microwaved after been prepared who knows when. Burger I ordered was decent but not up to their regular quality. Will definitely not be back!

I attended a birthday party last weekend at Matty's. Super impressed with the outside "party" area. Very fun place to hang out. Loved the heaters and fireplace. Would recommend this place for private parties.

Great chicken dinners and courteous, prompt service! Definitely will visit again!

Had an open face pork chop sandwich served with an egg over easy on top. Outstanding and unique! Also had chicken dumpling soup which just happens to be my favorite. Enjoyed talking with Al the bartender about the future fuels of transportation! Great stop!

My husband, my son and I had a wonderful lunch today at Matty s. Corrin was great and suggested the wings and the International burger. The Turkey Cobb salad, French onion soup and Bloody Mary was great too. #bestbloodyever! Thank you Corrin for the great service!!

Calling rye bread wheat toast - makes no sense - maybe I m missing something? Look at toast.

Never came back once to refill coffee

My omelette is now 15 minutes behind the rest of the food that was served

It s almost like I m being pranked as I know this place is awesome for dinner!

Avoid brunch at all costs.

Also - omelette finally came and was served by manager - no toast - waiter longer for toast

Also- seasonal fruit for June is apples

This spot clearly knows how to please their clients. Consistently with a very welcoming mindset. The food is reasonably priced, always yummy and clean.

Came in for lunch Monday afternoon and enjoyed great food and drinks at Mattys. Corrin was taking care of us and the service was great!

Absolutely amazing burgers, fries were also great!! Service was outstanding!! I will definitely be going back and telling others about this place!! Loved it!!!

One of the cleanest bar/restaurants you'll ever enter. Friendly staff, tasty food, and a decent beer selection. Getting a freshly baked cookie with your meal doesn't hurt either. :)

Super bad service. Bright out soups and salads before meals. We got the bill about an hour after we ate

Great place for food and Packer nostalgia. In warmer weather enjoy the out door patio and fire pit area. Off the beaten path but worth the drive down College Ave.

Tuesday's build your Burger is the best deal in town and very tasty as well!

Food was delicious & generous portions. Indoor & outdoor dining, as well as a spacious bar area.

The place is a good mix of modern bar meets standard Wisconsin "townie" bar. Service was great and the nachos were pretty good. Overall, a good New Berlin hang out.

I came here with my sister and mom for a birthday brunch and I must say I was surprised at the outside area! Looooved it! Clean well kept and beautiful! The food was great... our server was a little slow but I believe it was because of a rush hour. Besides that I couldn t complain. My burger wasn t cooked to my liking so I had asked for a replacement and was given one. After we finished our meals... the manager came over and apologized and gave me a card for a free burger the next time we came back. I must say I wasn t looking for anything like that but the way she handled the situation and was so polite makes me want to return again!
Also at night they have a wonderful set up for mini fire pits with brick seats! Cozy and cute perfect for first dates or a group of family and friends! Definitely one of my new favorite spots!

As always Mattys is a great place to watch the Packers. Sliders were great and the beer is cold. Saw old friends too. A nice Sunday afternoon

The place looked real nice first greetings also very nice. Then all down hill, table was still sticky and when trying to get our waitress she completely over looked our table. One of us had to go and get her at another waitress station. Again waiting on our waitress I went to get my own beer then when I ordered bartender asked me to pay when it was all you can drink with the wrist band I had bought and on my wrist. Then the Bar Manager came up to me with a receiptand also asked me to pay. When I told him we were told that Spotted Cow was apart of the all you can drink he was unaware of this and said he will have to check. He came back and apologized and they had switched it on him. Smh... Food at Half Time. Smh LMFAO!!!! Soup and Crackers would have been a 4 star upgrade to their so called NACHOS and CHILI BAR. Taco Bell has better chicken (DRY)and Ground Beef, both had NO flavor including the Chili. But that doesn't mean their Reg Menu isn't good. That will have to be determined later. Remember a Very nice place with and Cool outdoors patio... Good luck, remember these are here to help up with your business...

Have been many times in the past and had good food and drinks. However this time was disappointed. Steak sandwich special was tasteless and the margarita I ordered was served in a pint beer glass with no salted rim and a peculiar bitter taste. It was also 75 percent ice. Husband's lemonade and whiskey was watered down and tasteless. Not an enjoyable dining experience.

Try to come to Matty's when I visit my parents. The service is great and the food is outstanding! Had the grilled cheese with bacon and sun-dried tomatoes! It was amazing!

We had a really great time celebrating Cinco De Mayo and watching the Derby!

Ordered their breakfast for pickup. They were very friendly, brought the food out to my car when I arrived. The food was delicious, will definitely be ordering from them again!

The waitstaff is very friendly, and the food and drinks are delicious! It's a great place. Don't be deceived by its small appearance from the road... It's quite spacious inside! They do a great job on their carryout service, as well!

Food was delicious. Prices were okay. Expect to pay $10 or so for each item and you will be good to go.

Had the Tuesday burger special. I don't think I've ever been somewhere that you can add bacon, guac and muenster to a burger without an upcharge. Tasted fantastic when it came out, which was, by the way, incredibly fast. Hard to beat the combination of quality, affordability and speed.

Great place to watch the game on many tv's. Beautiful patio. The wings are uniquely smoked first. Never had a bad meal.

When we arrived we got seated right away, however the hostess greeted us by saying oh you wanna sit over there? you can go sit down. i ll be there in a sec and brought our menus several minutes later.
After that, our waitress showed up my group and I were not yet ready to order beverages. besides water, which she brought a good 5 minutes later, straws in the plastic cup. I for one am not comfortable with staff opening the straw for me and putting it in my cup, nor am I comfortable using single use plastics such as the straw and the plastic water cup. After she set down the cups, she turned around without another word or question on if we were ready or not.
After 15 minutes, my group and I were thoroughly unimpressed with the selection of choices, as there were about 2 beef burger options that weren t build your own and even then, they were so pricey. The build your own option is also so pricey. The style of the menu was a design disaster, utilizing the out-dated and simply impractical flip-style menu, and every single headliner font was different. Every. Single. One.

I am absolutely unimpressed with everything about this place and this is not the first time I have experienced distress here.

Matty's is excellent. Full bar, relaxing dining room and a superb patio. Plenty of parking too. They have specials almost every night, but we always go on Tuesday. For about $8 you get a 1/2 pound beef burgers. Alternately you can select chicken, pork or veggie as your protein.

Now we get to the toppings... There at least 30 toppings you can select including sauces (e.g. blue cheese, BBQ...), cheeses (e.g. Cheddar, blue cheese...), toppings ( e.g. fried egg, avocado, bacon, fried onions, mushrooms... ). To select your custom burger, Matty's has a bingo card you fill out. The first time we were there I picked about 1/4 of the list and was served a 4" high burger. It was delicious but I couldn't finish it.

There's plenty of wait staff providing great service. Try it out some Tuesday, and if it's nice weather, try to sit on the patio.

Good service from a friendly waitress paired with good food. Nice outing on a cold afternoon.

Decent pub grub. Not the best, but just OK. Good atmosphere, and fantastic service. Actually, our servers were awesome. I'll give it another shot for that reason alone.

My husband and I love Matty's! We moved to Hales Corners a few years back and this has by far been our best discovery. Great service (we always LOVE when we get Shannen as a server!), the food is amazing, and the prices are very reasonable. It's a great place to stop if you just want a beer or a bloody, or if you want a great breakfast or an awesome burger. We go there far more often than we should admit and have no plans to stop going any time soon!

This place has way more space than the first time I came here! There's a huge outdoor patio with a nice raised fire pit and theres a grassy area in the back that had a graduation party, which is nice and separated considering the times. The menu is smaller, but its the standard bar food and the quality is there so it stands out. The service is great, especially given how busy it was. Everyone who worked there wore masks, they gave us santizing wipes and plastic single use cups (again, considering the times it was great). It took a while to get our food, but it was a super busy time so I expected that. Overall, a nice place to stop for a drink and a meal.

The app worked perfectly, curbside pickup was fast and efficient.

The food has really gone down hill. They used to have delicious food but changed menu not the best selection and quality isn't that great. It used to be our favorite place. Bring back old menu.

Nice sports bar with great sandwiches and wraps. There are multiple tv's including 2 on the patio. The patio (weather permitting) is great (and large). There are several steps at the front door so handicap accessibility is best around back.

I was expecting way more then what a recieved I had the cider old fashioned all I tasted was the jack Daniel's the bacon Grilled Cheese was good but not very big and the coleslaw was less then desirable sorry for the low rating but expected way more from this establishment

From the homemade chips with Grandma's onion dip, the delicious cheese and pepperoni flat bread pizza, the surprisingly tasty brat and onion thin crust specialty pizza, the scrumptious burger with smoked gouda to the AMAZING sweet potato fries with "Mallow Dip"! We were blown away with the multitude of flavors! The food was fresh, innovative and made Matty's left us with a wonderful impression! Thank you for the wonderful service, Shannon! We will definitely be back!
