This was my first time going through a professional staffing agency and I had such a great experience! I came into contact with Kristin Anderson with Mattson Resources on LinkedIn. I want to personally thank Mattson Resources, and especially Lesley Peterson, for everything they have done for me. Before Mattson Resources, I had no prior experience with using a Staffing Agency. I am incredibly thankful that the first Staffing Agency I interviewed with ended up being the best one and that I ended up with such a great recruiter like Lesley.
In June 2013, I graduated from UCI and pretty much spent the next two months jobless. Towards the end of August, I met Lesley at UCI s career fair and interviewed with her the week after.
Normally, interviews make me incredibly nervous, but Lesley has a calming presence with a positive, upbeat and kind personality as well as being very friendly. At the same time, she is incredibly hard working, especially when it comes to finding assignments. In addition, she was really helpful in regards to how to write and format my resume, as well as how to prepare and conduct myself for job interviews. And by September, she had gotten me my first assignment.
In the past year and a half with Mattson Resources, Lesley was able to find me five full-time temp positions. The longest position lasted seven months! Even better, the most recent position actually hired me on permanently full-time. Thanks to Mattson and Lesley, I am now permanently employed!

What a great experience. I gave Lori Singer a call about a position they had posted on there website. As soon as Lori answered it was an amazing experience. She let me know about the position and asked if I could come into there office to meet. She set up a meeting for us to meet the next day, now that is fast service. After we met she sent my resume over to the company same day and called me back the next morning to let me know that they would like to set up an interview. The interview was set for the next day and was offered a job on the spot for a direct hire position, not only that but was given an annual salary that was amazing. I have used a few other agencies in the past but was not given the service and follow through to get my application in front companies to directly hire me. 100 percent I would recommend Lori and all of her hard work in getting me this position. I went through numerous agencies with little luck at all. I did not expect much since I was trying to find a full-time position in a different industry than my previous experience. I worked with Vi Luong when I went through Mattson Resources. She was very honest and engaging in regards to narrowing down positions that fit my interests. Although there were not any positions present at the time being, she was consistent in contacting me every single week on new positions that she had available for me if I were interested. When she presented a position to me roughly 2-3 weeks later, I was able to get a position that I truly love and enjoy. She is very genuine in telling me what is realistic to look for considering my qualifications. In addition, once I got the position, she continued to go the extra mile with asking me how I liked my first week and if I had a questions for her.
Contrary to many different agencies, I had a pleasant experience with Mattson Resources. Other agencies, in my experience, will almost try to convince you that they can place you with a great opportunity with filler positions that are minimum wage just to fill their quotas. Also, once they place you in those jobs, you won't often hear from them again. I highly recommend Vi because she will look out for you and find a position that best suits your needs.

If you've had the nerve-racking experience of looking for work on your own for months on end, knowing that you're a qualified, hard-working, ready-to-go candidate that a company would be lucky to have, many people share your pain. Two weeks ago, I was a wreck and to the point of frustration where I was going to give up and accept a sub-par job -- that is before Muna reached out. I was nervous about getting phone calls from people telling me that they'd reviewed my resume and wanted to talk about getting me placed at a company -- I had a misguided perception that all recruiters want to do is place people in highly-volatile temp positions. I finally got a very heartfelt email convincing me that I should give recruiters a shot. (Hint to recruiters at this point: Do what Muna Darwish did and ask candidates to come in for interviews instead of trying to gauge their competencies and personality through a resume.) Muna is an amazing recruiter, and she really seemed to have my best interest in mind. I would give them zero star.This company is very unprofessional, She never contacted me on time. She was 30 min late. She didn t even know the difference between an interior designe and interior decorating. I applied for an interior designer position and she called me for an unrelated position, she wouldn t give me the company s name. While I was talking to her about my goals as an interior designer, she said well they are gonna need you to place an item for them they don t care about the picture you are gonna hang on the wall ??????. So rude and disrespectful. Ok Miss Linda kirchman .... I believe you need to learn about the position before you call people and waste their time. Very very unsatisfied with them.

Mattson Resources is an amazing agency. My recruiter Keri Anderson was there every step of the way from the interview process to when i got a job. From day one that i registered online i got a call the next day and was quickly brought in to meet and fill out some forms. I would like to start off by saying that Mattson Resources is the best agency that I have worked with, plus my recruiter Roohi Barli is one amazing person. I was referred to the company by my wife and didn t know what to expect. Upon meeting with Roohi, she gave me the opportunity to meet with some amazing companies in a short period of time. Mattson Resources was great! Especially Pilar; after meeting with her and letting her know one of my biggest concerns was lack of contact from previous recruiters that I'd worked with, she assured me that she was not like that and would be very proactive in keeping me updated and helping me find a new employer. She gave me her business card right away and let me know to contact her if I felt like she wasn't being proactive enough. She made me comfortable enough to trust the process and I felt I was in good hands.
Even though I was able to find a job on my own, Pilar had already presented me with some great options that I was prepared to go for; she was 100% behind me and my skill set and I knew she wouldn't present anything that didn't fit what I was looking for. I had a great experience with Mattson Resources. After three frustrating months of job searching, I met one of my recruiters Roohi Birla at a local job fair on a Thursday, she set me up with a meeting with me, her and my other recruiter Muna Darwish the following day(Friday). At that meeting, they told me all about a job opportunity I was interested in and prepared me for an interview for the following Monday. After two interviews that week, I was offered a position. I had a the job within two weeks of my first meeting with Roohi! Through-out the whole process, Roohi and Muna were very friendly and professional. I have nothing but great things to say about Mattson Resources (Sean Gouilding was my counselor). As a person that worked his entire career in the nuclear industry, I was not having any luck in finding work outside that field since the nuclear industry doesn't exist any more in Southern California.
I had gone to many employment agencies before, but it was the same experience. (They were very happy to have met me and they will keep me in mind if the right job would come up) I never heard back from them. Sean was different. I was such a perfect match for this job, I was informed that I was considered the number one candidate for it. I am really grateful for Sean's efforts because my temp job was ending in a couple of months and the stress was mounting.
