What a beautiful hotel!

What a beautiful hotel!
The service is prompt and responsive, service with a smile. The best part is the housekeeping and maintenance teams! Everything is very clean and maintained.

I stayed in January 2019.

I stayed in January 2019.
It was less than 30 minutes by car from O'Hare airport.
There was also information that there was a transfer, but I used uber because I could not confirm it.
There were no convenient routes such as buses.
The front desk was in 2F and I was able to check in smoothly.
I spent with the Marriott app digital key.
The rooms are usually clean and beautiful.
However, there were no slippers or toothbrushes.
There is a shopping mall in 10 minutes by car.
There was Seven Eleven within walking distance.
The entire building is non smoking.
The lobby is comfortable with plenty of seating area.
There is also a coffee shop where you can order coffee using Starbucks beans.
It is not a Starbucks shop.
It also sells snacks and drinks but is not open until late.
There was also a restaurant and BAR at the breakfast room.
The breakfast was not good enough.
We enjoyed the BAR until midnight.

The convention center is easy to navigate. In addition, there are plenty of places to get a beverage, snack, or bite to eat. Unlike many convention center, Renaissance Schaumburg didn't feel drafty or cold-- there was a consistent, pleasant ambient temperature inside to counter the cold winter weather outside. The rooms at the center are spacious, and acoustics surprisingly good for such large, open spaces. This was a great location for the midwest's Irish dance regional competition, and a return here would be welcome.

The entrance with the double staircase is beautiful. Signs help tell you where to go. The cafe near the restaurant is very nice. The ice cream sandwiches there are amazing. The filet mignon at our dinner for the event was tender, delicious, and a perfect rare/medium rare doneness. The little hangout seating areas are cozy and relaxing.

Amazing halls. Not sure if the program we attended had some private people hook up the sound and mic system for the stage. That was a disappointment. The convention center as such was great! Will definitely need more parking space !

We were there for a cheerleading competition. The space in the convention center was huge and beautiful! The parking was free, but there wasn't a whole lot of it to go around. Still can't complain!

Clean and very pleasant, parking was free for the event I was there for and it doesn't appear that you would pay to park normally unless there is a specific event that someone starts to charge.

Absolutely beautiful, with great staff, dining, and many different conference rooms, from small receptions to enormous events. The gym has all the right amenities and a good pool for families, though for people swimming laps it may be underwhelming. Best of all is vip dining area and lounge, with an amazing terrace overlooking the front of the building.

It's a beautiful hotel, loved my room. It also has meeting rooms in different sizes for different purposes with good and comfortable accesse. The thing is I think it's the only hotel in the neighborhood that doesn't offer breakfast with stay. They also charge for the internet.

I recently stayed at the Renaissance and was extremely excited before I arrived because I had not stayed there before. However, this feeling was immediately & severely crushed after arriving at the hotel.

I arrived prior to check-in time and was asked for my cellphone number so that I could be contact when my room was available. After not receiving a call by check-in time or the 2 additional hours I waited for the call, I approached the desk to inquiry about the room. I was then told that the person I had spoken with originally, had not only ended his shift, but never registered me as checking in nor did he pass my number to the on-coming personnel.

Did not receive the room I had book due to the hotel over booking rooms. The room was still not ready around 5:30pm-6pm when I came to inquiry why I had not been regarding my room

Had to sleep on a rollaway, which is not what I was paying for
After retiring to the room, found the rollaway bed up against the wall and after calling the front desk to inquire as to why it wasn't set up, I was told that "I" could put it anyway "I" could find space in the room.

Staff was what I call nice/nasty......right words, with a very unconcerned attitude

The "privileged amenities", (room on a private floor, 24 hrs access to a concierge and breakfast each morning) that were given in place of not receiving the room I had BOOKED & WANTED were things that I could have done without. Especially since, I never once saw or could find the concierge, breakfast was only available one day and when I asked about this at the front desk, all I was told was, "Oh, that's closed on the weekend", but that is not what I was told when this "wonderful amenity" was explained to me and I'm not impressed with a private floor.

Not enough towels in the room

Only one microwave in the vending area

The parking lot is extremely too far from the entrance of the hotel. Also, going from the hotel to the Convention Center was very tasking.

All in all, for this to have been listed as a 4 star hotel, I was extremely disappointed.

The only reason to stay here is because of the convention center. Other than that seems like the more classy a hotel attempts to be the more you lose in amenities. Staff is well trained and great to work with.
If you want coffee. Only Starbucks available so you better like that.
If you want breakfast. Only an expensive buffet available.
If you want internet. You better be a club member.
They have tons of places to chat. But it is all modern and just not comfortable.

Was 5 stars until last night. Too many teenagers attending a dance competition at he convention center were running around until the early morning. Called the front desk at 11 pm and they didn't assist. Otherwise a good looking hotel with excellent, updated rooms. Comfortable beds, excellent pillow and modern facilities. And the service at the club level suite is excellent.

Beautiful property that is aged very well. Great place for a wedding or large social function. great location near airport in major highways. Parking lot was a bit over run while we were there to do a special event, but manageable.

The hotel is under construction so if you get up at 6 am then this shouldn't be a problem. I work evenings. Now I have to run on no sleep. Not to mention the bedding is old and thin. It's so cold in rooms. If they knew it was under construction why put people on this side??? Very upset and don't know how I am going to survive the weekend. Not a 4.5 star hotel at all. I should of stayed at the new hotel down road then these old ran down hotels.
