Great choice, a little bit expensive consodering the age of the building. Rooms are ok sufficiently clean. Great view those facing Dallas downtown. Restaurant ok but way too expensive. Staff friendly.

Love the pool on top! Good location if you are going to the World Trade Center or Market Hall, otherwise you've gotta take a cab to downtown (with ever changing prices among em for the same distance).

Great staff & service! Dave & Bran with the valet service were very friendly, helpful & knowledgeable of the property. Check-in was prompt and the room was spacious, well-appointed & clean (thanks Barbara!) I would stay here again!

Excellent hotel. Got to stay here from my company. Food is excellent and so is room service. Maid cleans your room everyday and she even put my shaving kit which was scattered in a neat and orderly manner. I left a note for more coffe and in the evening there was so.e more coffee pods for early morning. I liked tbis hotel very much but the parking here is too expensive. Removing one star for parking.

So let me start off with this, "Hotel." Our flight arrived early, which we knew arriving there it was going to be way before check in time was. We arrived at the front desk and asked if they had a room available for Platinum Marriott member. We usually never have a issue, however we were told they did not, which again, it was not that big of a issue. We asked to leave our bags at the hotel, because we were going to be exploring the city, which we were allowed to do. While the front desk clerk was tagging our bags, we asked what the benefits at t his particular hotel would be for Platinum Members. We were told, they would tell us later once we checked in. The front desk clerk stated he would call us when our room was ready.

At 3:15 pm, we arrived back at the hotel to inquire about our room. We were told by another front desk clerk, that our room had been ready for awhile. She checks us in, we convey our frustration to her, which she promptly apologizes and does try immensely to make up for it. We were given keys to our room and we proceeded up to it.

I do not remember the room, however we go inside of it and lay on the bed. This was by far, the most uncomfortable Marriott bed I have ever been in. I examined the bed and noticed the sheet was not fitted to the bed. I went over to the corner and tried to fit the bed sheet back onto the bed. When I tried, I was unable to pull it down, however I was poked by (2) two springs out of the corner of the bed. I called back to the front desk and required that the General Manager, Front Desk Manager, and Housekeeping Manager respond to the room to take a look. Although that was the request, the same front desk girl came up to try and move us to another room and again apologize. We were moved (2) two doors down to another room,

Once walking inside of this room, it had a overwhelming smell of mold and wetness in the room. After being in this room for approximately 20 minutes, I started to have breathing issues. Medically and for health hazards we were unable to stay in this room, so we went to the Front Desk to convey our frustration.

We were given keys to a new room to try. Once inside of the room, it was nicer along with a great view. Bed sheets and bed still had same issue as far as sheets not fitting and bed being uncomfortable.

I have traveled all over the world and have stayed at plenty of Marriott's. We did knock them on Yelp, advising the same things from a different point of view. The hotel, did apply Marriott points to our account. You would think that a General Manager that is and was aware would personally make contact with guest that are having issues with his hotel, but that was never the case.

Please do not take my word for it, please look at the 1 star rating the hotel acquires on Yelp and Trip Advisor. If you decide not to and you are a loyal Marriott Reward member, I can almost guarantee you will regret staying here! Be very very aware if you stay here!

Stayed as a platinum member for one night. Was a solid hotel, but was under renovation and some things were lacking. The good- Staff was fantastic, both at the desk and especially in the club longue. Room was pretty typical. Comfortable bed. Reasonable sized bathroom. Snacks in longue were fairly good, nice spread of cheeses. The meh- Wasnt upgraded. Should never expect it but always sad when it doesn't happen. No coffeemaker in room. Renovations meant no easy access to fitness center. Restaurant (Asador) was good but somewhat overpriced. Still appreciated having a meal that solid so close. Overall a solid choice and I'd definitely love to check it out again when renovations are done, because I'm sure it's going to be even better.

I went to my friend's wedding at the Renaissance Hotel. The event was hosted in the City View Room. It had an amazing view of the Dallas skyline. There was plenty of space. The escalator goes directly into the room, which was kinda cool. We enjoyed drinks and dinner followed by lots of dancing. There was an outside area that was beautiful but it couldn't be used since it was raining like crazy in Dallas this weekend.

Long wait for waiter at restaurant every time we ordered. Had to wait a long long time to get refills of water. Dinner time too busy you dont get got service. I did get locked out of the gym and had to stand out in the hott weather on the roofs pool area until maintenance came. Maintenance was rude and told my son on the other side of the doors, " It's not magic and you just have to push the door." Until he realized he had to pull apart the whole door. I had a baby and a 12 yr old. It locked behind me. And that was not my 12 yr olds fault on the other side nor mine. So please fix this. What if I didn't have a phone to call for help and i had a freakin baby! Rooms was beautiful though and cool pool area. Wish there was an indoor pool for swimming if cold weather. Yummy food. =) yummy cookies too and snacks.

Also when I had to put my son down for naps the construction was horribly loud. After 8 a.m. they begin and don't end until late.

Great hotel. I'd stayed here 4 years ago and it was a little dated and run down. They're renovating rooms now. I stayed in a new room. It was amazing. The bathroom and shower were wonderful. They use Aveda rosemary mint products. The downside is no free parking, not a lot in immediate area and the restaurant is expensive.

Very nice, friendly staff, clean, well appointed rooms, quick enough plugs, and good internet (which is kind of expensive). Beautiful lobby and a well-stocked little snack nook.

The views looking at downtown are great.

One absolute pain in the neck is the elevator system which has the worst user interface I have ever used. I'm a technology guy but this was an engineering disaster. A good idea on paper, no doubt, that fails miserably in practice for a number of reasons.

There is a touch screen panel in the elevator hall. You enter your floor number and it tells you which elevator car to go to. There are no floor number buttons in the elevator itself, only a display on the side of the door that tells you what floor is it stopping at.

Of the rides I did during my four-day stay, many people wound up going to the wrong floor, missing an elevator, getting on the wrong elevator because they just walked into one with an Open Door, or had some other misunderstanding. If the touch screen worked perfectly it would be a pain in the neck. But because the Touch Screen Works far from perfectly, it's abysmal. The elevator almost always goes to the 11th floor because when you press the "1" on the touch screen it records two presses. "No, I don't want to go to floor 11" . You re-enter your floor and hopefully get it right. While you're struggling with the touch screen, a car comes, the door opens, people get in and leave you behind.

I can hear some engineering wonk talking about how much they'll save for this and that reason. This is why you have to test ideas.

Stare in awe from outside at this miraculous marble building or go on inside get a room and some drinks from the bar to be more amazed. The drinks are good, people are accommodating, and you feel like you're on top of the world. Definitely recommend for people coming into town or a date night in the city.

Location is great, parking is kind of a pain, but does have a great view of the city skyline. We upgraded our room to a club elite room which is supposed to come with breakfast buffet but when we checked out we were told we had to pay for breakfast because suddenly it didnt come with the upgraded room anymore. What?! I even called the front desk to verify it came with our upgrade before we had breakfast. Regardless, the room was nice, clean, and elevators worked well. Keep your room key so you can exit the parking lot when you check out. We got a good price on the hotel through Priceline. Actually only paid $100 for the club elite room.. Not bad!! Parking is $20 (we only stayed one night so not sure if it's a flat $20 or $20/night). Breakfast buffet is $21 per person (but they do have a deal occasionally for $40 that includes parking and breakfast for 2). Breakfast buffet included yogurt, pastries, meats including proscuitto, smoked duck breast, salami, and various cheeses. There was also overnight oats, good variety of fresh fruits, chilequiles with homemade salsa, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, biscuits (gravy also available), etc. We would stay there again for sure for the price we got it!! It is frequently a Priceline express deal so check there for the best price.

Beauriful hotel, very clean, comfortable, close parking, elevator service is state of the art! You never wait for the elevator. Our door key code pad had a dead battery apparently and we could access our room. After a short trip to the desk, a maintaince man was at our door within 5 minutes to replace them. He actual "hustled" down the hall as to not inconvenience any longer than possible.
