The hotel was very upscale, the outer rooms surround a rotunda where you can stand outside and look down. The front desk staff was very helpful, also helped with places to eat outside of the hotel, which has its own restaurant in which we ate it but decided to go out the next night for dinner. They do offer a breakfast buffet and if you pay at the desk it's only about $7.99. The meals are reasonable. They also offer a full size bar for alcoholic beverages. There are also conference rooms on the first floor which were being used for different events including a wedding.

I have stayed here twice for a conference. The staff is very nice and helpful, but the rooms, while clean, are in dire need of updating. The furniture is all very old and worn. The air temp in our room was 74 degrees and not adjustable. Between that and the very sad non-down pillow they brought me, I slept very poorly while staying there. I wouldn't spend the $100+ a night to stay here unless you are attending a conference during the winter.

Older hotel. While fairly nice, this building is definitely showing its age. Rooms need a facelift for sure. My front door is missing a chunk, which sort of gives me a bit of the heebie-jeebies from a security perspective.

Food in the concierge lounge is pretty good, and a nice perk to have.

Additionally, getting a shuttle to the office for sure is saving me the cost of a taxi every day.

Overall, the experience was good. I will say, though, that I've stayed at this location multiple times, and every time the restaurant in the lobby is very slow, with poor service and high prices.

Couldnt accommodate the hockey group we had there for a weekend tournament. Every problems that we brought up to the hotel, each person passed the buck to someone else. So any problems we had nothing got taken care of. It was a terrible stay and I've never had a bad stay at a Marriott before in my life. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone!

Nice rooms, there was an actual thermostat instead of the huge ac unit. There wasn't a ride though. The beds and pillows were awesome, and the service (while slow) was very accommodating.

Room was "upgraded' to a suite. Furniture was old and dirty, wouldn't sit on couches, lamp didn't work. Toilet was tiny, ran all night. In the morning I was greeted with brown water in the sink.

Very easy access from I-380 via Iowa 100. Some nearby restaurants (Chili's, Panera) as well as the one on-site - more further down 100. We booked with points, literally 20 minutes before arriving on a stormy evening. We requested foam pillows during our check-in - and did not get them until well over an hour later after calling down to remind them. The room furnishings, except for the bed, were old and shabby looking. The sofa was worn, and the window treatments did not match the rest of the decor. It felt like "that room" that hotels never upgrade and use to dump their old furnishings. Maybe this particular room was an exception - I have no way of knowing. The lobby and restaurant area looked fine.

Its conveniently located and easily accessible from downtown, even in several inches of snow. There was plenty of parking. All staff members I encountered were friendly, courteous, and helpful. There was what appeared to be a manager mopping the lobby at 11:30pm because of the snow! Everything was clean and in working order. The room was even equipped with a smart tv. There was unfortunately a false fire alarm around 9am, but it stopped and was quickly followed by an explanation and apology on the PA system. Other than that, it was my best hotel experience in the last year.

Standard fare for a Marriot. Breakfast is not included but they serve breakfast at the restaurant on the first floor. Little overpriced but they do have a buffet. Views aren't anything to write home about. If there is a function going on in the atrium area it can echo up to the rooms but they don't go late enough that it interferes with sleep.

We had a great time! Beautiful hotel. It was nice to get out of the house and have a staycation We mostly went for the pool but the room was great and omg the pillows were the BEST !! We will definitely be back. There was a nice large area to eat with tables that fit us all. The staff was great. Overall a great experience

This was a comfortable hotel to stay at, but I was really underwelmed with every aspect of my stay. Our room wasn't any nicer than one at a budget hotel would have been, and in fact things like having a tear in the arm of our pull out couch and the call button on our in room phone being broken were below the standards I would have expected even at one of them. Then to be expected to pay for amenities that would be included at a "cheaper hotel", such as breakfast, on top of the higher price felt like a bit of an insult. I know some of these things are standard in the industry, but I either expect to be wowed by my experience, or I want to pay budget pricing for a budget experience.

A middle-of-the-road Marriott property; a bit understaffed while we were there. Horrendous behavior from baseball tournament parents and some of their kids, who were allowed to run roughshod around the hotel. We were "upgraded" to a suite, with one room entirely filled with a huge conference table and chairs - no couch or comfy chairs in the living space. Not terrible; just a little odd.

Excellent hotel friendly staff, really on top of things I had just got over pneumonia and had inflammation of the ribs, was in so much pain had to get in the hot tub, which helped tremendously, of course I was dripping wet let a staff member know I couldn't bend down to clean it up by the elevator do to the pain, she said she'll get it cleaned up right away, and sure enough it was. This hotel is highly recommended!

In town for a work training. Showed up in my room and was expecting a mini fridge and there was none. Stains above the bed from what I am guessing is a past leak, ripped wallpaper in many places, bathroom was not very clean, windows dirty, etc I requested for my room to be cleaned at 6:30 am before I left for the day and came home 12 hours later and my room had not been touched. (it is covid time so I understand but was told if I requested it to be cleaned it would be) Would NEVER stay here again.

Wasn t a terrible experience just disappointing. Kids screaming til midnight in the lobby. And the architecture doesn t block any of the sound. They comped our breakfast which I wouldn t have paid for anyway. Food was pretty average low grade hotel chain food. Nothing special or with the price. This may seem petty or maybe I should expect the same from most hotels. But this was the first place that not only didn t have a fridge but no microwave in our room. Nor in the lobby. And I m sorry, but no coffee in the lobby? Less than average. Hotels are such a letdown these days. Bed was ok. Location felt safe. Other than that blah.

The staff at this facility are phenomenal!!! Each & every employee was friendly and full of smiles. The building is pretty old and disappointingly in need of repairs. The staff however, ....you couldn't ask for better service!

I was attending the 32nd annual His Women Conference in the banquet hall and it was set up very nicely. The hotel staff was very friendly and courteous. Since it was a womens conference, I think they were having a hard time keeping the bathrooms stocked for us, but hard to blame them for that! It was a great experience and I look forward to coming back next year.
