Nice friendly staff, rooms needs a bit of a facelift

Great atrium, nice rooms and we were able to use the hospitality suite following a wedding reception, great experience!

Pretty good service overall. Very nice facilities like the pool and the hot tub. Only giving 4 starts because there were a few mistakes with our room service order etc. Overall a good experience.

I stayed here for a quick overnight visit. The staff was friendly. The lobby was nice and it was clean. It was also nice to look at from the floors above. The rooms were very dated (looks like they were redecorated in the 80s-90s), but were in good shape. The bathrooms were nice, but they were a little cramped.

Had a marvelous time today in their convention center! Staff was very polite and accommodating.

Staff was extremely courteous, only positive things to say about interactions with them. Breakfast was a bit pricey compared to other hotel experiences and had a spotty WiFi connection.

Great rooms, only negative was no continental breakfast.

I recently attended a work conference here. The facilities were perfect for what we needed, and the staff was very helpful. I appreciated the helpfulness of the staff when asked for additional help, and had a great experience overall.

The service is amazing and the rooms were clean and made up nicely. I was there for a wedding reception and all staff was kind and helpful. The dinner we were served was amazing. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.

A good hotel for the area but other than that its just like every other hotel there is. Its nice to have a chillies right across the sidewalk so yea.

We went to a company Xmas party. It was a nice place. The food was mediocre.

Stayed here for a night while in town for a wedding and was really disappointed. Stayed in room 509. First I noticed there was a crack across the whole ceiling of the room. My shower curtain had a blob of mold on it. The bathroom ceiling had beginnings of mold and or water damage. When I tried taking a bath the water didn t get hot enough to my liking. The hot tub in the pool area was the same. The temperature was over warm at best not hot. And the time only went up to 15 minutes so it wasn t very relaxing when you had to get out all the time. The room saving grace was the beds were soft and comfy. However, there was an associates only room and ice machine next to the room so I kept getting woke up from this horrible buzzing noise that was right in front of where my headboard was. This room wasn t worth my money at all. Would never stay here again even if I got different room.

Nice hotel with clean rooms and a friendly staff. The rooms, however, are quite dated and frankly dim in the evening hours. The space and amenities available were fine, although the restaurant isn't very good, with overly salty food and bar snacks.

Conference facilities are adequate with great rooms, internet that works well, although the AV equipment desperately needs to be replaced with expensive projectors that sound like aircraft, could be used to heat the lobby, and yet only project at 1024x768.

One small maintenance issue was correctly quickly and kindly. The concierge lounge is small but has a nice view of the park, and offers the usual fare.

Friendly staff. That s about the only nice thing of the hotel. In dire need of renovations! The beds are so old and worn out, I d expect this out of some motel.

Very nice meeting space and excellent food. Sound was good. Bathrooms were clean. Seating was comfortable. Bar tender was very nice. Update: Room was ready for my arrival with the right temperature. Bed is extremely comfortable with great pillows. Very nice and accommodating staff. Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

We have visited here many times on many occasions. We have been guests here, had friends stay here and attended many, many events here over the years. We have always enjoyed our time here. When I look back on times here things ran so smoothly that you just focus on the event not resolving issues. Not many places can say that.
Nice lobby, great staff, plenty of parking and clean rooms.
Today we attended a comic con event for the kids. They loved it. So many costumes and people at the event were so fun and nice! Good times!

I have held several events at the Marriott over the years and their banquet team is superb. From Shaun and Jody to Matt and his team they are all awesome! The team is always so helpful with all the details of your event right down to the littlest things. Planning big events can be stressful, but the professional crew at the Marriott make it all so much easier!

Like many of the Marriott properties I've frequented over 30 years, not perfect but it doesn't have to be. Just feels welcoming. Love coming back here.

Filthy, smelled like mold in the hall and our room had very visible water damage. no free breakfast, small pool.

I was there for a 2 day work event. The hotel is nice and the food is good. The service by the individuals handling the event was really good. The hotel lobby area was a bit noisy and the Internet kept dropping which was a pain when working remotely.

Moldy room on 7th floor with bad a/c. No sleep. Stayed here once before. Worn appearance. After 50 nights this year w Marriott, it is hit or miss. Time to try Hilton.

The hotel itself was nice. Not great, but nice. The overall aesthetic was pleasing and the building and room was clean. There was a bit of water damage to the caulking in the bathroom, likely discoloration though it was black. The biggest issue I drew with the Cedar Rapids Marriott was the Cedar Grille. I ate dinner there with my work associate and am happy that our work picked up the bill. The bbq plate I ordered was cold, the seasonal vegetables was a potato salad, the Mexican corn that came with it ended up getting switched with my co-workers corn on the cob. The barbeque sauce was out of stock though they did have a Korean BBQ sauce to substitute which wasn't bad. Finally, and admittedly this is somewhat outside their control, the tap water has an off taste. Probably fine, but if that's the situation you should make sure to have bottled water on hand. The employee was friendly and doing her best, but the business itself was less than stellar. Combined with the cost, I found it to be extremely off-putting. In the future I'll spend half the money for twice the experience at a chain restaurant.

Room was clean. Had no problems with the visit. Especially how I could modify my reservation online without having to call them.

It's 3.5 but not quite a 4. The hotel is nice and staff is courteous. The food is pretty good and drinks can be a bit pricey--like any bar. It has a beautiful open area in the middle.
My room had beds that seemed older, uncomfortable and flat. There was no ventilation fan in the bathroom. The walls are thin and noise transfered from one room to the other. Difficulty as a Gold customer trying to get changed over to a king size, but not too big a deal.

Attendees for a charity dinner. Professional staff who was very nice. Drinks were very expensive!

This place is a total dump. Very tired and dirty. It needs a total overhaul!

First time staying here. Hotel was at low capacity so restaurants weren't open. Pool was nice and we didn't see anyone else there. Clean and quiet.

We stayed here twice and the first time it was good. The second time we had terrible experience including: waiting an hour for our food, bed bugs and having to move, staff not caring about the situation and not helping us bring up the rollaway bed.
