Marriott Hotel & Suites Cedar Rapids, IA Review

Classic Marriott brand. The finished are dated but well kept and clean. The concierge lounge has some decent offerings in the evening, which could easily replace dinner.

I attended the Marion Chamber Annual Meeting. A great lunch and wonderful service.

The room was small, the staff was a little stiff but professional and polite enough. It was fine, but could have used a little more "warmth".

We were only in the pool area. The pool was nice, but the floor around it was insanely slippery. Not great for a 3 year old even under close supervision.

I visited for a rehearsal dinner. The event space was nice, gorgeous lobby. The dinner was surprisingly really good as well.

Wi-Fi, delicious breakfast, comfortable beds. This is a great hotel to stay at. You get what you pay for.

Air didn't work well ran the whole time I was there. Hot tub had the shortest timer I have ever seen. Needs elevators on both sides of hotel.

Everything was very nice. Would have been 5 stars if they would have had enough of the good pie. Another meeting there tomorrow so they have a chance for redemption

The beds were cloud like as usual I booked this room on Priceline...so it was a risk, but it sure paid off! Hotel was immaculate and sparsely booked. It had a peaceful ghost town vibe...

This time s a top notch hotel with great service on every level. Hotel food is expensive, but this hotel has great cooks and the service and taste make it worth it.

I have stayed here in a few occasions and have always been pleased. The quality of the rooms is great, and if you do a little searching online you can get a very nice room for a price much lower than comparable hotels in the area.

The bar provides top quality drinks and the bartender has always been great when I visit.

Check out the breakfast buffet if you get a chance. It s probably the best in the area.

Had a work meeting at this hotel. The breakfast was great they served us. The staff was friendly. We did stay the night the only negative I would say is the bed was awful. It was sagging and was ripped on the side. I told them at checkout and they said they would look into it.

The hotel was very well manicured and cleanly. I attended a job fair, and the set up was great and easily accessible. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I enjoyed my visit to the Cedar Rapids Marriott hotel. I like that it is easy to locate and has a lot of parking. It is very clean and spacious. The staff is helpful and friendly.

Sporting and concert events

I was at the Marriott for a business meeting in one of their large conference rooms (Hickory). The conference room was spacious and set up well for our meeting. The WiFi connectivity was better than other locations we have used in the past.

The staff here is great, loved the rooms and the elevators were fun

Stayed at the Cedar Rapids Marriot. the room was clean. we ordered room service and they added extra stuff to our bill, that we didn't even have. Rooms need to be updated on the decor of the room,especially for the prices. Food iand drinks are way expensive but very good.

I was only at the hotel for an event, but I was very impressed by the lobby and the restaurant. It was absolutely beautiful.

The room with 2 double beds was on the small side but they seem clean and was very quiet. The climate control worked well, the pool was a good size for kids to play in.

Great experience. Kids enjoyed the pool. The room and the continental breakfast were very nice.

We attended a fundraiser function at the Marriott in CR. The food was fantastic and the service was superb.

Our event was in the main ballroom. The facility was clean, the staff was helpful, and the food was delicious.

The rooms are quiet enough. Clean. The free WiFi is good enough to VPN into work. Would recommend.

My super generous sister paid for an evening out for my husband and I for New Year s ... $54 plates and $107 on a room ....food was dry and cold, dead batteries in the remote control, broken coffee maker, 1 Count that again one coffee creamer in the room, no microwave overpriced menu items can be delivered to. Your room but if the meal had last night was any indication of the cooking skills I am not going to touch any of their food ..... then you go downstairs to go to get a cup of coffee and their coffee bar at the front desk area isn t even fully stocked .... oh and no continental breakfast here ..... overpriced and not worth the cost,,, The staff was pretty nice

We attended the Royal princess ball at the Marriott on Sun , as we entered the hotel it was open and welcoming, staff was very friendly and helpful. Our event was held on the main floor in one of the large banquet rooms. The room was decorated nicely. It was a lovely experience. I would absolutely recommend it to friends.

Attended a friends wedding and stayed overnight. Wedding was great, room was spacious and comfortable and reasonably priced.

Events at the Mariott are always wonderful. The lobby at this hotel is just so beautiful.

Really enjoy going to lunch for the buffet, really good food. BUT, if you go...it's only Tues-Thur. You can order off the menu otherwise. But the food is really good.

The atmosphere was inviting and pleasant. Visited this location for a convention and the staff and volunteers were very nice and helpful.

Attended social function (Dancing with the Saints) which included sit down meal and cash bars in the ballroom of the Marriott. Everything was fantastic. Facilites were very nice. Every staff member I encountered was super friendly and professional from the coat check attendent to the bar staff to the banquet staff. I would recommend the Marriott if you're looking for a venue to host an event.

I turned left in to the Marriott. It was about 15 minutes from the wedding I attended. Room was clean. Coffee was hot

Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable bed. Lots of extra amenities like indoor pool and hot tub, business center, restaurant and bar, but the staff's friendliness and genuine desire to make your stay great make the difference.

Rooms are just okay for the price. They do not have fridges like most smaller hotels and no complimentary breakfast or amenities like other cheaper hotels in the area have. The Cedar Grill is average in comparison with some of the restaurants in the area. They also do not have a happy hour. The overall experience, comfort, and hotel amenities are sub-par. I will not be staying at this hotel the next time I come to Cedar Rapids.

Solid business traveler hotel. Has the typical amenities a traveler would need:
Gym -typical aerobics alcoves but one issue where the weights are a bit old and handles are rusted.
Club lounge for gold or higher members
Rooms are quite satisfactory
Restaurant at the ground level.

Clean and pleasant environment. Plenty of parking and easy to get to.

Slow wifi. No mini fridge. Shower pressure was oddly hire. Nice location.

Location is a little awkward to drive in and out of. Decor is a little dated.

Very well suited for professional event and great staff as well. Lovely interior too.

Do not stay here if you have trouble walking. The walk to our room was too long. Elevators are located on one side of the building only. Also for the price we paid complementary coffee would have been appreciated. I have to give props to the kitchen staff, the food was excellent but over priced. $12.99 for breakfast.

This was an awful hotel. The rooms were really dated, you could barely get any sleep because of the noise level from the lobby, the shower had cold water. There was no mini fridge in our room, and the water that you could purchase in your room was $4.50 for a 33 full oz bottle. You can get better deals at a gas station. Most of the servers seemed like they hated their job, we only had one that seemed she liked serving people. The only plus things were that there was a pretty decent tv in our room although sometimes it would act up. They also have free hairspray and the breakfest buffet was $8.00 for a child and $13.00 for adults. The food for breakfast was delicious, but the food at the Grille was terrible. I ordered the Rice bowl, and it was overpoweringly buttered. It was disgusting. I also ordered some fries, multiple fries were frozen. The Quinoa Salad was basically dry kale. Overall, I wouldn t recommend this hotel, and it s pretty exspensive for all the cons that it has. I would only stay here if I had to.

The rooms are clean, but not as modern as I would like, but they are well maintained. The beds are as comfortable as you would expect for a hotel. The staff is friendly, and the food is very good. This hotel is at a good location in the city. It is close to the mall and several restaurants.

Went for brunch. It was cold. They had 3 or 4 different things and some boxed cereal.
